Intermolecular interactions between PH_2Cl and Ar–R(R = H,OH,NH_2,CH_3,Br,Cl,F,CN,NO_2) were calculated by using MP2/aug-cc-p VDZ quantum chemical method.It has been shown from our calculations that the aromatic rings with electron-withdrawing groups represent much weaker binding affinities than those with electron-donating groups.The charge-transfer interaction between PH_2Cl and Ar–R plays an important role in the formation of pnicogen bond complexes,as revealed by NBO analysis.Nevertheless,AIM analysis shows that the nature of the interactions between PH_2Cl and Ar–R is electrostatic,and the interaction energies of the complexes are correlated positively with the electron densities in the bond critical points(BCPs).RDG/ELF graphical analyses were performed to visualize the positions and strengths of the pnicogen bonding,as well as the spatial change of the electron localization upon the formation of complexes.The π-type halogen bond was also calculated,and it has been revealed that the π-type pnicogen bond systems are more stable than the halogen bond ones.  相似文献

Intramolecular N H···X (X=F, Cl, Br, and Ⅰ) hydrogen bonding patterns of aromatic amides in the solid state are summarized. It is revealed that the key for the formation of this kind of weak intramolecular hydrogen bonding in X-ray crystal structures is to suppress the competition of strong intermolecular N H···O C hydrogen bonding of the amide unit. For amides with identical backbones, the bonding capacity of halogen atoms as hydrogen bonding acceptors is in the order of F>Cl>Br>I, which is in accordance with their electronegativity strength. Generally, the five-membered hydrogen bonding is easier to form than the six-membered one.  相似文献

The C--H…H dihydrogen-bonded complexes of methane, ethylene, acetylene, and their derivatives with magnesium hydride were systematically investigated at MP2/aug-cc-PVTZ level. The results confirm that the strength of dihydrogen bonding increases in the following order of proton donors: C(sp3)-H〈C(sp2)-H〈C(sp)-H and chlorine substituents enhance the C-H…H interaction. In the majority of the complexes with a cyclic structure, the Mg-H proton-accepting bond is more sensitive to the surroundings than C-H proton-donating bond. The nature of the electrostatic interaction in these C-H…H dihydrogen bonds was also unveiled by means of the atoms in mo- lecules(AIM) analysis. The natural bond orbital(NBO) analysis suggests that the charge transfer in the cyclic com- plexes is characteristic of dual-channel. The direction of the net charge transfer in the cyclic complexes is contrary to that previously found in dihydrogen bonded systems.  相似文献

The theoretical calculation and spectroscopic experiments indicate a kind of triangular three bonding supramolecular complexes CBr4…X^-…-H-C, which consist of carbon tetrabromide, halide, and protic solvent molecule (referring to dichloromethane, chloroform and acetonitrile), can be formed in solution. The strength of halogen and hydrogen bonds in the triangular complexes using halide as common acceptor obeys the order of iodide〉bromide〉chloride. The halogen and hydrogen bonds work weak-cooperatively. Charge transfer bands of halogen bonding complexes between CBra and halide are observed in UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy in three solvents, and then the stoichiometry of 1:1, formation constants K and molar extinction coefficients ε of the halogen bonding complexes are obtained by Benesi-Hildebrand method. The K and ε show a dependence on the solvent dielectric constant and, on the whole, obey an order of iodide〉bromide〉chloride in the same solvents. Furthermore, the C-H vibrational frequencies of solvent molecules vary obviously with the addition of halide, which indicates the C-H…X- interaction. The experimental data indicate that the halogen bond and hydrogen bond coexist by sharing a common halide acceptor as predicted by calculation.  相似文献

The interactions of HF, H2O and NH3 with Br2 are investigated at the MP2(full)/ aug-cc-pVDZ level. It is found that two kinds of stable complexes, halogen-bonded and hydrogen- bonded complexes, exist between Br2 and HF and between Br2 and H2O. The interaction energy analysis and natural population analysis (NPA) are conducted to these two kinds of complexes, indicating the halogen-bonded complexes are more stable than the corresponding hydrogen-bonded ones, and the binding energies of the former increase in the order HFH2O for the latter.  相似文献

Cis-dioxo-metal complex ( NH3CH2CH2NH2 ) 2.5 [ Mo0.5^(V)W0.5^(VI)O2 ( OC6H4O ) 2] 1 was obtained by the reaction of tetra-butyl ammonium hexamolybdotungstate with 1, 2-dihydroxybenzene in the mixed solvent of CH3OH, CH3CN and ethylenediamine,and characterized by X-ray diffraction, UV-vis and EPR analysis. Compared with its analogous complexes (NH3CH2CH2NH2)3[Mo^(V)O2(OC6H40)2] 2 and (NH3CH2CH2NH2)2[W^(VI)O2(OC6H4O)2] 3, the results show that tungsten(VI) is less active in redox than molybdenum (VI) and that the change of the valence induced by substitution of W(VI) for Mo(V) in EMO2(OC6H40)2]n- does not influence the coordination geometry of the complex anion in which the metal center exhibits distorted octahedral coordination with cis-dioxo catechol. The responses to EPR of complexes 1 and 2 are active but complex 3 is silent,and the UV-vis spectra exhibited by the three complexes are obvious different because of the different electronic configuration between the central Mo(V) and W(VI) ions in the complexes.It is noteworthy that complexes 1 and 2 have the similar EPR signal to flavoenzyme, suggesting that the three complexes have the same coordination geometry feature with the co-factor of flavoenzyme.  相似文献

A series of imidazolate-bridged heteropolynuclear complexes containing Cu2+ or Zn2+ were synthesized and characterized by reflectance spectroscopy, NMR and X-ray diffraction analysis. The bonding nature and the stability of imidazolate bridges in the complexes were studied by ESR spectroscopy, and the catalytic activity of the complexes in dismutation of O-2 was determined by NBT method. Results obtained indicate that the central Cu with N4 and N2O2 square planar or N4O square pyramidal coordination in which there is a weak bond H2O or ClO-4 on axial position, has a comparatively higher activity, but that with N5 square pyramidal having a strong bond axial ligand has almost no activity. Thus the results imply a possible formation of Cu-O-2 intermediate adduct in the catalytic process by Cu, Zn-SOD.  相似文献

A series of complexes formed between halogen-containing molecules and ammonia have been investigated by means of the atoms in molecules (AIM) approach to gain a deeper insight into halogen bonding. The existence of the halogen bond critical points (XBCP) and the values of the electron density (Pb) and Laplacian of electron density (V2pb) at the XBCP reveal the closed-shell interactions in these complexes. Integrated atomic properties such as charge, energy, polarization moment, volume of the halogen bond donor atoms, and the corresponding changes (△) upon complexation have been calculated. The present calculations have demonstrated that the halogen bond represents different AIM properties as compared to the well-documented hydrogen bond. Both the electron density and the Laplacian of electron density at the XBCP have been shown to correlate well with the interaction energy, which indicates that the topological parameters at the XBCP can be treated as a good measure of the halogen bond strength In addition, an excellent linear relationship between the interatomic distance d(X…N) and the logarithm of Pb has been established.  相似文献

The triatomic radicals NCO and NCS are of interest in atmospheric chemistry,and both the ends of these radicals can potentially serve as electron donors during the formation of σ-type hydrogen/halogen bonds with electron acceptors XY(X = H,Cl;Y = F,Cl,and Br).The geometries of the weakly bonded systems NCO/NCS···XY were determined at the MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ level of calculation.The results obtained indicate that the geometries in which the hydrogen/halogen atom is bonded at the N atom are more stable than those where it is bonded at the O/S atom,and that it is the molecular electrostatic potential(MEP)-not the electronegativity-that determines the stability of the hydrogen/halogen bond.For the same electron donor(N or O/S) in the triatomic radical and the same X atom in XY,the bond strength decreases in the order Y = F > Cl > Br.In the hydrogen/halogen bond formation process for all of the complexes studied in this work,transfer of spin electron density from the electron donor to the electron acceptor is negligible,but spin density rearranges within the triatomic radicals,being transferred to the terminal atom not interacting with XY.  相似文献

The quaternary complex, [Ce(CH2ClCOO)2(NO3)(phen)(H2O)]2, was synthesized. Interestedly, the title compound is a dimer comparing with the 1D polymer [La(CH2ClCOO)2(NO3)(phen)*(H2O)]n and powder compound [Nd(CH2ClCOO)2(NO3)(phen)]. In the title compound there is a monodentate NO-3, which is a first example in the all synthesized quaternary mixed anion complexes, and the NO-3 extended the complex into a 2D network with water from other molecules by inter-molecular hydrogen bonds. The intermolecular hydrogen bonds lead to the weaker Ce—O(COO), Ce—O(NO3) and Ce—N bonds comparing with other quaternary mixed anion complexes of cerium. Also the stacking effect, which makes the compound more stable in the situation of weaker Ce—O and Ce—N bonds, was first found in the series compounds.  相似文献

Crystallization of tri-O-[p-halobenzoyl]-myo-inositol 1,3,5-orthoformates from ethyl acetate-petroleum ether solution produced concomitant dimorphs that have different halogen bonding contacts; the kinetic form with C-Br...O-C contacts upon heating to 185 degrees C, converts completely to the thermodynamic form with C-Br...O=C contacts via crystal-to-crystal first order phase transition.  相似文献

The gas-phase electron transmission (ET) and dissociative electron attachment (DEA) spectra are reported for the series of (bromoalkyl)benzenes C6H5(CH2)nBr (n = 0-3), where the bromine atom is directly bonded to a benzene ring or separated from it by 1-3 CH2 groups, and the dihalo derivative 1-Br-4-Cl-benzene. The relative DEA cross sections (essentially due to the Br- fragment) are reported, and the absolute cross sections are also evaluated. HF/6-31G and B3LYP/6-31G* calculations are employed to evaluate the virtual orbital energies (VOEs) for the optimized geometries of the neutral state molecules. The pi* VOEs, scaled with empirical equations, satisfactorily reproduce the corresponding experimental vertical electron attachment energies (VAEs). According to the calculated localization properties, the LUMO (as well as the singly occupied MO of the lowest lying anion state) of C6H5(CH2)3Br is largely localized on both the benzene ring and the C-Br bond, despite only a small pi*/sigma*C-Br interaction and in contrast to the chlorine analogue where the LUMO is predicted to possess essentially ring pi character. This would imply a less important role of intramolecular electron transfer in the bromo derivative for production of the halogen negative fragment through dissociation of the first resonant state. The VAEs calculated as the anion/neutral energy difference with the 6-31+G* basis set which includes diffuse functions are relatively close to the experimental values but do not parallel their sequence. In addition the SOMO of some compounds is not described as a valence MO with large pi* character but as a diffuse sigma* MO.  相似文献

The spectral (both absorption and fluorescence) and photoelectrochemical studies of a few selective dyes, namely, anionic erythrosin B, neutral riboflavin and cationic safranin O have been carried out in aqueous solution of triton X-100, a neutral surfactant. The results show that the ionic dyes, erythrosin B and safranin O form 1:1 electron donor-acceptor (EDA) or charge-transfer (CT) complexes with triton X-100 both in the ground and excited states, whereas neutral dye riboflavin in its excited state forms 1:1 complex with triton X-100. In these complexes, the dyes act as electron acceptors whereas triton X-100 acts as an electron donor. The fluorescence spectra of erythrosin B and safranin O in presence of triton X-100 show enhancement of fluorescence intensity with red and blue shifts respectively while riboflavin shows normal quenching of fluorescence. A good correlation has been found among photovoltage generation of the systems consisting of these dyes and triton X-100, spectral shift due to complex formation and thermodynamic properties of these complexes.  相似文献

Two types of halogen...halide synthons are investigated on the basis of theoretical and crystallographic studies; the simple halogen...halide synthons and the charge assisted halogen...halide synthons. The former interactions were investigated theoretically (ab initio) by studying the energy of interaction of a halide anion with a halocarbon species as a function of Y...X- separation distance and the C-Y...X- angle in a series of complexes (R-Y...X-, R=methyl, phenyl, acetyl or pyridyl; Y=F, Cl, Br, or I; X-=F-, Cl-, Br-, or I-). The theoretical study of the latter interaction type was investigated in only one system, the [(4BP)Cl]2 dimer, (4BP=4-bromopyrdinium cation). Crystal structure determinations, to complement the latter theoretical calculations, were performed on 13 n-chloropyridinium and n-bromopyridinium halide salts (n=2-4). The theoretical and crystallographic studies indicate that these interactions are controlled by electrostatics and are characterized by linear C-Y...X- angles and separation distances less than the sum of van der Waals radius (rvdW) of the halogen atom and the ionic radii of the halide anion. The strength of these contacts from calculations varies from weak or absent, e.g., H3C-Cl...I-, to very strong, e.g., HCC-I...F- (energy of interaction ca. -153 kJ/mol). The strengths of these contacts are influenced by four factors: (a) the type of the halide anion; (b) the type of the halogen atom; (c) the hybridization of the ipso carbon; (d) the nature of the functional groups. The calculations also show that charge assisted halogen...halide synthons have a comparable strength to simple halogen...halide synthons. The nature of these contacts is explained on the basis of an electrostatic model.  相似文献

A theoretical study of the mechanism of the reaction of stable silylenes with halocarbons has been carried out using the B3LYP density functional method. The main findings are as follows: (1) Lewis acid-base complexes formed between silylenes and halocarbons do not play a role in silylene insertion chemistry into halocarbons; therefore, the acid-base complex mechanism proposed by West et al. (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2002, 124, 4186) is not appropriate to describe the disilane formation reaction. (2) The disilane formation reactions follow the energetically favorable general reaction pathway (X = halogen): (i) Y2Si: + HCX3 --> TS1 --> Y2XSi-CHX2. (ii) Y2Si: + Y2XSi-CHX2 --> TS2 --> Y2XSi-SiY2CHX2. (3) The observed preference of stable silylenes to undergo C-X bond insertion rather than C-H bond has been investigated. The theoretical findings suggest that this preference is a result of the thermodynamic factor. (4) Stable silylenes prefer to insert into a C-Br rather than a C-Cl bond because the energy barrier to insertion is lower, and the reaction is more exothermic.  相似文献

The structures and intermolecular interactions in the halogen bonded complexes of anaesthetics (chloroform, halothane, enflurane and isoflurane) with formaldehyde were studied by ab initio MP2 and CCSD(T) methods. The CCSD(T)/CBS calculated binding energies of these complexes are between -2.83 and -4.21 kcal mol(-1). The largest stabilization energy has been found for the C-Br···O bonded halothane···OCH(2) complex. In all complexes the C-X bond length (where X = Cl, Br) is slightly shortened, in comparison to a free compound, and an increase of the C-X stretching frequency is observed. The electrostatic interaction was excluded as being responsible for the C-X bond contraction. It is suggested that contraction of the C-X bond length can be explained in terms of the Pauli repulsion (the exchange overlap) between the electron pairs of oxygen and halogen atoms in the investigated complexes. This is supported by the DFT-SAPT results, which indicate that the repulsive exchange energy overcompensates the electrostatic one. Moreover, the dispersion and electrostatic contributions cover about 95% of the total attraction forces, in these complexes.  相似文献

A series of rhodium and iridium complexes with a N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand decorated with a perylene-diimide-pyrene moiety are described. Electrochemical studies reveal that the complexes can undergo two successive one-electron reduction events, associated to the reduction of the PDI moiety attached to the NHC ligand. The reduction of the ligand produces a significant increase on its electron-donating character, as observed from the infrared spectroelectrochemical studies. The rhodium complex was tested in the [3+2] cycloaddition of diphenylcyclopropenone and methylphenylacetylene, where it displayed a redox-switchable behavior. The neutral complex showed moderate activity, which was suppressed when the catalyst was reduced.  相似文献

MP2/aug'-cc-pVTZ calculations have been performed to investigate the halogen-bonded complexes FCl:PCX, for X = NC, CN, F, H, CCH, CCF, CH(3), Li, and Na. Although stable complexes with a F-Cl···P halogen bond exist that form through the lone pair at P (configuration I), except for FCl:PCCN, the more stable complexes are those in which FCl interacts with the C≡P triple bond through a perturbed π system (configuration II). In complexes I, the nature of the halogen bond changes from traditional to chlorine-shared and the interaction energies increase, as the electron-donating ability of X increases. The anionic complex FCl:PC(-) has a chlorine-transferred halogen bond. SAPT analyses indicate that configuration I complexes with traditional halogen bonds are stabilized primarily by the dispersion interaction. The electrostatic interaction is the most important for configuration I complexes with chlorine-shared halogen bonds and for configuration II complexes except for FCl:PCNa for which the induction term is most important. The F-Cl stretching frequency is red-shifted upon complexation. EOM-CCSD/(qzp,qz2p) spin-spin coupling constants have been obtained for all FCl:PCX complexes with configuration I. (1)J(F-Cl) decreases upon complexation. (2X)J(F-P) values are quadratically dependent upon the F-P distance and are very sensitive to halogen-bond type. (1X)J(Cl-P) tends to increase as the Cl-P distance decreases but then decreases dramatically in the chlorine-transferred complex FCl:PC(-) as the Cl-P interaction approaches that of a covalent Cl-P bond. Values of (1)J(F-Cl) for configuration II are reduced relative to configuration I, reflecting the longer F-Cl distances in II compared to those of the neutral complexes of I. Although the F-P and Cl-P distances in configuration II complexes are shorter than these distances in the corresponding configuration I complexes, (2X)J(F-P) and (1X)J(Cl-P) values are significantly reduced, indicating that coupling through the perturbed C-P π bond is less efficient. The nature of F-P coupling for configuration II is also significantly different, as evidenced by the relative importance of PSO, FC, and SD components.
