The polarization of the recoil proton from the reactionγ+p→π 0+p has been measured using liquid helium as polarization analyser. The photon energy has been varied between 250 and 360 MeV, the pion angle (CM) between 58° and 100°.  相似文献

Relative yields of high-x F charged hadrons (π ±, К±, р, \(\overline p \), and d) in proton–nucleus interactions at incident-proton momenta of 25 and 50 GeV/c were measured at an angle of 0° in the momentum range between 15 and 40 GeV/c. An upper limit on the forward production of two protons in proton–nucleus interactions at 50 GeV/c was estimated. The properties of a carbon beam with an energy of 25 GeV per nucleon and fragment yields in its interaction with nuclear targets were measured within a short exposure.  相似文献

Thep-γ angular correlations in the Be9(d, p, γ)Be10 reaction have been measured in the reaction plane atE d =1.3, 1.5, 1.9, 2.3 and 2.45 MeV for proton anglesθ p =35°, 80° and 120°. The anisotropy of the angular correlations measured forθ p =35° is independent of deuteron energy. A systematic shift of the symmetry axis from the recoil direction has been observed. The shift is 20.5° at Ed=2.45 MeV. The anisotropy decreases with increasing proton angle and vanishes atθ p =120°.  相似文献

Excitation of the transitions from the even levels of a singly charged ytterbium ion that terminate on the low-lying odd levels 4f 13(2 F°)6s 2 2 F°, 4f 14(1 S)6p 2 P°, and 4f 13(2 F°7/2)5d6p(3 D)3[3/2]° is experimentally studied by measuring 51 excitation cross sections at an electron energy of 50 eV, and 16 optical excitation functions are determined within the electron energy range 0–200 eV. The largest magnitudes of the measured cross sections exceed 3 × 10?17 cm2.  相似文献

The proton resonant properties in 18Ne, which determine the reaction rate of the key stellar 14O(α,p)17F reaction, have been studied by using a technique of proton resonant elastic scattering of 17F+p. A 4.22 MeV/nucleon 17F radioactive ion (RI) beam was produced via a projectile-fragmentation reaction, and separated by a Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou (RIBLL). By bombarding a thick (CH2) n target, the energy spectra of the recoiled protons were measured by two ΔE-E silicon telescopes at the center-of-mass scattering angles of θ c.m.≈175°±5°, θ c.m.≈152°±8°, respectively. Several proton resonances in 18Ne were observed clearly. A further R-matrix analysis of the experimental data is under way to determine the resonant parameters. The present work reports the preliminary results briefly.  相似文献

At proton energies of 4–9 MeV, trial experimental investigations were performed to confirm the excitation of Gamov–Teller resonance (GTR) 1+ in the compound nucleus 118Sb discovered by B.Ya. Guzhovskiy’s research group in the 117Sn(p,xn) reaction at proton energies of 7.2 MeV (the first component is GTR1) and 9.9MeV (the second component is GTR2). The 117Sn(p,xn) reaction was used, whose neutrons and background neutrons were registered by an all-wave long counter arranged at an angle of 140° to the direction of the proton beam propagation. Simultaneously, along with the registration of neutrons, elastically and inelastically scattered protons at angles of 20° and 160° were registered. At the proton energy equal to ~7.2 MeV, in the excitation functions for 117Sn(p,xn), 117Sn(p,p0), and 117Sn(p,p4)117Sn* (1004.5 keV, 3/2+), a resonance with a width of ≈1.2 MeV having an energy structure was discovered. Its possible quantum numbers are 1+.  相似文献

The thermal conductivity k and resistivity ρ of biocarbon matrices, prepared by carbonizing medium-density fiberboard at T carb = 850 and 1500°C in the presence of a Ni-based catalyst (samples MDF-C( Ni)) and without a catalyst (samples MDF-C), have been measured for the first time in the temperature range of 5–300 K. X-ray diffraction analysis has revealed that the bulk graphite phase arises only at T carb = 1500°C. It has been shown that the temperature dependences of the thermal conductivity of samples MDFC- 850 and MDF-C-850(Ni) in the range of 80–300 K are to each other and follow the law of k(T) ~ T 1.65, but the use of the Ni-catalyst leads to an increase in the thermal conductivity by a factor of approximately 1.5, due to the formation of a greater fraction of the nanocrystalline phase in the presence of the Ni-catalyst at T carb = 850°C. In biocarbon MDF-C-1500 prepared without a catalyst, the dependence is k(T) ~ T 1.65, and it is controlled by the nanocrystalline phase. In MDF-C-1500(Ni), the bulk graphite phase formed increases the thermal conductivity by a factor of 1.5–2 compared to the thermal conductivity of MDF-C-1500 in the entire temperature range of 5–300 K; k(T = 300 K) reaches the values of ~10 W m–1 K–1, characteristic of biocarbon obtained without a catalyst only at high temperatures of T carb = 2400°C. It has been shown that MDF-C-1500(Ni) in the temperature range of 40?300 K is characterized by the dependence, k(T) ~ T 1.3, which can be described in terms of the model of partially graphitized biocarbon as a composite of an amorphous matrix with spherical inclusions of the graphite phase.  相似文献

SpinpolarizationP(Θ) of slow electrons elastically scattered by a solid Hg-target has been studied in a double-scattering experiment for electron energies between 300 eV and 900 eV. For the same energy range the angular dependence of the scattered intensity has been measured. Maximum degree of polarization found isP=?0.23±0.04 (E=900 eV,Θ=105°).  相似文献

The decay of Lu176m has been investigated. TheK-conversion coefficient α K of the 88,3 keV niveau of Hf176 has been determined to α K =1,35±0,07. Theβ-branching ratio to the 0+ and 2+ niveau of Hf176 has been measured by means of aβ-γ-coincidental technique. (60,4±6,1)% of Lu176m decay into the 2+ niveau and (39,6±6,1)% into the 0+ niveau of Hf176.K-capture of Lu176m to Yb176 was not found. If there is any, it is less than 0,1% of all decays.  相似文献

Inelastic collisions of slow electrons with cobalt dichloride molecules, leading to the formation of excited cobalt atoms in odd sextet states, are experimentally studied. At an incident electron energy of 100 eV, thirty six dissociative excitation cross sections are measured for levels belonging to the z6D°, z6F°, and z6G° terms. In the electron energy range of 0–100 eV, ten optical excitation functions are recorded. The full cross sections for the dissociative excitation of the cobalt atom levels and the contribution of cascade transitions to their population are determined. The cross sections for electron–molecule and electron–atom collisions are compared.  相似文献

The emergence of transverse polarization of the lepton in the decay processes B0D?l+νl and \(B^ + \to \bar D^0 l + \nu _l \) for l = τ, μ is studied on the basis of the Standard Model in the leading approximation of heavy-quark effective theory. It is shown that a nonzero transverse polarization appears owing to electromagnetic final-state interactions at the one-loop level. Diagrams involving D and D* mesons in the intermediate state and making a nonzero contribution to the transverse polarization of the outgoing lepton are considered. If only these mesons are taken into account in evaluating the mean values of the τ-lepton polarization in the decays B0D?τ+ντ and \(B^ + \to \bar D^0 \tau ^ + \nu _\tau \), the results are 2.60×10-3 and ?1.59×10?3, respectively. The corresponding values of the transverse muon polarization averaged over the Dalitz plot are 2.97×10?4 and-6.79×10?4.  相似文献

Directed (in-plane) flows of protons, pions, and projectile light fragments (d, t, 3He, 4He) have been observed by investigating the dependence of the mean transverse momentum in the reaction plane 〈p x 〉 on the rapidity y in the c.m. system for CC collisions at a momentum of 4.2 GeV/c per nucleon. The comparison of our in-plane-flow results of protons with flow data for various projectile/target configurations was made using the scaled flow F s = F/(A P 1/3 + A T 1/3 ). F s demonstrates a common scaling behavior for flow values from different systems. From azimuthal distributions of protons and π? mesons, out-of-plane (squeeze-out) flow effects have been observed and the parameter a2 (the measure of the anisotropic emission strength) has been extracted. The quark-gluon string model reproduces the experimental results quite well.  相似文献

An internal polarized gas target in conjunction with a beam of polarized protons stored in the IUCF Cooler storage ring has been used to measure analyzing power and spin correlation parameters between 200 MeV and 450 MeV over a wide range of angles. A consistent absolute beam and target polarization calibration was established by ramping the stored protons up and down in energy. The analyzing power A y and the spin correlations A xx , A yy and A xz were measured with transverse beam polarization, while determination of A zz required the development of a longitudinally polarized beam. First experiments on the spin dependence on π0-production have recently been carried out.  相似文献

The rate Λ S of nuclear muon capture by a proton from the hyperfine singlet ground state of the µp atom has been measured using a new experimental method based on a time-projection chamber operating in an ultrapure hydrogen gas at a pressure of 10 atm. The capture rate has been determined from the difference between the measured lifetime of the negative muon in hydrogen and the world average lifetime of the positive muon. The analysis of 10% of the collected statistics (2 × 1010) of µe decays yields the muon capture rate Λ S = 725.0 ± 17.4 s?1, from which the pseudoscalar form factor of the nucleon, g P (q c 2 = ?0.88m µ 2 ) = 7.3 ± 1.1, is determined. The further analysis of the collected experimental data should improve the precision of this measurement by a factor of 3.  相似文献

Experimental and calculated data on inelastic scattering of polarized protons are presented as polarization-analyzing-power combinations P + A and (P + A)σ for the 0+ → 1+, T = 1 transition in 12C. Data on the polarization P and the function (P ? A)σ are also reported. Microscopic calculations have been performed using the DWBA program with the G-matrix interaction based on the Paris and Bonn potentials. A significant difference between the effective interaction with density correction and free NN interaction has been demonstrated. It is established that the (P + A)σ combination is especially sensitive to systematic variations in the density dependence in effective NN interactions.  相似文献

The spin-lattice relaxation timesT 1 were measured for protons and deuterons in polycrystalline NH4NO3 and ND4NO3. The investigation was carried out at temperatures between about 80°K and 430°K using the NMR pulse method. From the measured values ofT 1 the activation energies for the reorientation motions of NH 4 + and ND 4 + ions below 200°K were calculated to be 2.07±0.11 kcal/mole and 2.56±0.23 kcal/mole, respectively. The quadrupole coupling constante 2 Qq/h of the deuteron in ND 4 + ion was found to be 194±30 kc/s.  相似文献

A simple method of measuring the degree of polarization achieved by optical pumping has been described recently for the case of sodium vapor, illuminated with the single circularly polarizedD 1 line. The assumption had to be made, however, that the atomic absorption cross sectionQ, depending on the degree of polarizationP and the frequency of lightν, may be approximated byQ(P, ν)=(1?PQ(P=O,ν). The purpose of this paper is to discuss the qualification of this assumption. A theoretical analysis of the pumping process is tried, showing that the measured polarization corresponds in good approximation to the degree of the valence electron spin polarization. — For the case of weak absorption and equal intensity of the two hyperfine components of theD 1 line a diagramm is given, relating the measured polarization to the polarization of the nuclear spin.  相似文献

Using the same model as in the previous paper a prediction for the polarization of the recoil protons is given in case of polarized photons. The determination ofE 0+ andE 1+ from measurements is discussed. Furthermore the influence of theππ-interaction on polarization is considered. A Dehmelt type experiment is performed in which sodium vapor and argon as a buffer are employed. The pumping radiation consists of the circularly polarizedD 1 line. Since the strongly absorbing magnetic sublevels are depopulated, the vapor becomes more transparent to the pumping radiation with growing polarization. The transparency of the vapor is measured with and without optical pumping as a function of the sodium vapor density. The degree of polarization is determined in simulating the increase in transparency due to polarization by decreasing the sodium vapor density of the unpumped sample. This method requires the knowledge of the exact sodium vapor density in the temperature range of interest (100 to 200° C). The determination of the degree of polarization is based on the assumption, that the atomic absorption cross sectionQ, which depends on the degree of polarizationP and the frequency of lightν, can be written in the formQ(P,ν)=A(P) · B(ν), whereA(P) is a linear function ofP, whileB (ν) must not be changed by optical pumping. As will be shown in a following paper, the degree of polarization determined under this assumptions, describes in good approximation the polarization of the sodium valence electrons.  相似文献

An analysis has been made of experimental data on level spectra, single-nucleon transfer reactions near closed shells, and data on the polarization effects in charge-exchange (p, n) reactions between isoanalog states of nuclei with even A. The analysis has allowed us to conclude that there is a significant difference between the spin-orbit splittings of neutrons and protons in identical orbitals. This conclusion is confirmed in a framework of different theoretical approaches.  相似文献
