A cross-channel isospin analysis has been performed on the channels pNN(Nπ) andpNN(Nπ) in terms of three isospin amplitudes M120, M121, and M321 where the upper index is the isospin of the exchanged “object” in the t-channel and the lower index is the isospin of the (Nπ) or (Nπ) system. Enhancements are observed in the low Nπ) invariant mass region for an I = 12 final state when the isospin of the exchanged object in cross channel is IE = 0 and 1.  相似文献

Interference between the Iu = 12 and Iu = 32 baryon exchange amplitudes is observed in the reaction π?p → pπ?π0, with the proton produced forward with cosθp1>0.8. The Dalitz plot shows that the reaction is dominated by the quasi two body final states ρ?p(δ exchange) and N10(1670)π0(N exchange), with δ(1238), N1(1520) and higher mass N1's also produced. The relative phase between the ρ and the N1(1670) production amplitudes is measured to be 135° ± 10° and is compared with the Regge pole signature factor phase predictions.  相似文献

Energy scale factors ν0 for PP → PP scattering amplitudes are related via the absence of exotic resonances to ratios of tensor to vector coupling strengths. These same ratios are extracted from FESR's for non-exotic reactions. The scale factors obtained are all of the order of 1.0 GeV2or less, independent of quantum numbers. This contradicts the expectations of dual amplitudes in which ν0 = 1/α′, and trajectory slopes are smaller for charmed mesons. Decay widths for tensor mesons are predicted. An observed SU(3) violation for the ratio A2KK/K7Kπ is shown to be consistent with the FESR results. Charmed meson decays are predicted to be factors of 2–3 larger than those predicted by SU(4).  相似文献

A simultaneous analysis of low-energy (W ? 2 GeV) data for the reactions π?p→ KOΛ and K?p → πOΛ has been made using the hypothesis of two-component duality combined with fixed-t dispersion relations. Results are presented for the ?1 Λπ and N1 ΛK couplings. The low-energy amplitudes are used to evaluate FESR integrals and lead to large EXD breaking for the KV1 ? KT1 helicity flip amplitudes.  相似文献

If all the helicity amplitudes for the reaction
0? + 12+ → J1 + J2, J2 ? 32
have the same phase, it follows that certain bilinear forms in the statistical tensors tL1L2M1M2, with L1 and L2 even, vanish. An intuitive discussion is given of how these tests of the equal-phase hypothesis arise, their relation to positivity constraints on the joint-density-matrix is studied, and their behavior in the limit of forward production is examined. In order to illustrate the sensitivity of these tests, calculations of helicity amplitudes and the corresponding bilinear forms were made, using reggeized absorption-model calculations for πp → . Some of the available data on πp → , πp → ωΔ and K+pK1Δ are studied using our tests. Some recent high statistics data on ?Δ indicate that the equal-phase hypothesis is incorrect for this reaction.A by-product of the investigation is the interesting result that if all the helicity amplitudes are in phase, and the absence of a polarized target, one arbitrarily chosen helicity amplitude can be taken to be zero at an arbitrary value of the kinematic variables, without affecting any observable results.  相似文献

The predictions of a linear mass mixing model for pseudoscalar and vector mesons, which incorporates the effects of radial excitations, are examined. Several analyses are made fitting in each case to a different experimental value of Γ(ψ →η'γ)Γ(ψ→ηγ) upon which the η-η′ mixing pattern is very sensitive. Predictions for radiative transitions among the mesons and for the ratio of production amplitudes σ?p→η′n)σ?p→ηn) are compared with experiments. Results indicate a preferred value of 3.1 for Γ(ψ→η′γ)Γ(ψ→ηγ).  相似文献

The cross-channel isospin amplitude ∣M012 is measured in the single reaction γn → ?0(pπ?) at 7.5 GeV assuming the ?0 dominance model. A low-mass enhancement is found for ∣M0122 in the range of m(pπ?) of ~1.2 to ~1.7 GeV. The reaction strongly violates s-channel helicity conservation but is consistent with t-channel helicity conservation. The ∣M012 features are found to be very similar to those obtained in previous analyses of πp → π(Nπ) reactions.  相似文献

A new approach to the t-channel isospin analysis of ZN → Z′(Nπ) reactions is presented. This approach, useful for Z = N, N, K? when only five independent sets of data are availables, is used to analyse data of NN → N(Nπ) reactions obtained in a pp → NNπ experiment at 5.7 GeV/c and apd → NNπps experiment at 5.5 GeV/c. the t behaviour of the different isospin exchange amplitudes, suggests their exchange mechanism production. The mass spectrum, MπN, of the contributions produced by exchanged isospin Iex = 1, shows enhancements corresponding to N(1490) N(1670) and Δ(1230) isobars, while the mass spectrum for Iex = 0 presents only a large bump at ~1350 MeV commonly identified as N1(1400).  相似文献

A study is presented of single πo production in neutrino and antineutrino interactions in Gargamelle filled with freon CF3Br. Limits on the neutral to charged current cross-section ratios Rv=σ(vN→vN′πo)/2 σ(vN→ μ -N′πo) and Rν = σ(νNνN′πo)/2 σ(νN → ω+N′πo) are found to be 0.10 < Rν < 0.20 and 0.26 < Rν < 0.44 at 68% confidence level.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for γp→π+n from hydrogen and the π?π+ ratios from deuterium were measured at nine c.m. angles between 30° and 150° for laboratory photon energies between 260 and 800 MeV. A magnetic spectrometer with three layers of scintillation hodoscope was used to detect charged π mesons. The cross section for γn→π?p was obtained as a product of dσdΩp→π+n) and the π?π+ ratio. The overall features in the cross sections of the two reactions, γp→π+n and γn→π?p, and in the ratios, π?π+, agree with predictions by Moorhouse, Oberlack and Rosenfeld, and Metcalf and Walker. An investigation of the possible existence of an isotensor current was made and a negative result was found. In detailed balance comparison with the new results on the inverse reaction π?p→γn, no apparent violation of time-reversal invariance was observed.  相似文献

Systems of linear relations for the magnetic moments of the nucleon and transition moments μωπγ, μ?πγ and μN11470Nγ are obtained on the basis of sidewise dispersion relations in the one-pion approximation. In such an approach the magnetic moments of the transition ω(?)→ πγ and N11470→Nγ are expressed in terms of the anomalous magnetic moments of the nucleon and the strong interaction coupling constants.  相似文献

By use of the generalized scaling sum rules the vector-axial vector interference terms in the scaling limit of the inelastic neutrino reactions are calculated from the absorptive parts of the single-pion photoproduction amplitudes at zero momentum transfer. The photoproduction amplitudes are evaluated by use of the results of multipole analysis. With the optimum values for the two parameters of the generalized scaling as determined in previous works, we have obtained F3νN(ω) which leads to good agreement with experiment in the ration of σνNνN. However, the zeroth moment in x( = 1/ω), ∫01dx(F3νp + F3νp) turns out to be smaller than half of the value predicted in the fractionally charged quark model.  相似文献

We have studied the reaction K-p → K-π+π-π+π-p at 14.3 GeV/c to search for evidence of the double dissociation process K-pQN121. In the channel K-pK10 (890)π1-π2-Δ++ (1236) there is evidence for simultaneous production of low-mass enhancements in the K10π1- and Δ++(1236)π2- subsystems which correspond to the QK1 (890)π and N121 → Δπ decay modes. In this particular final state the double fragmentation system is produced with a cross section of the order of a few microbarns. Our data are consistent with the factorizable pomeron exchange model of double diffractive dissociation.  相似文献

Negative results on backward production, via baryon exchange, of exotic non-strange mesons are presented. The reactions π?p→pforwardX?and π?n→ pforwardX?? have been studied with a 12 GeV/cπ? beam in the Omega spectrometer at CERN. No resonant peak in Xppπ?, ppπ?π?, ppπ?π0+π?π?π0 has been seen. The upper limits obtained on cross sections for exotic meson production XNNπ, NNπ, 4π are lower than the ?? backward production cross section in the π?p→p?? reaction; this result seems to contradict the predictions of the two-component duality model. Compared to already published experiments in the search for exotics produced via baryon exchange, the sensitivity of this experiment is increased by an order of magnitude.  相似文献

Accurate SCF computations are reported on the Rydberg states of N2 of electron configurations ---1πu3u, ---1πu3u, and ---3σg2πg, also on the valence states of the configuration ---1πu3g. The Rydberg state calculations supplement those of Lefebvre-Brion and Moser. A comparison is made between the ---1πu3u states and the parallel set of states of the u3g configuration. This comparison shows a sharp difference in the 1Σ+ states of the two configurations, the 1Σ+ state being very high in the latter but relatively low in the former configuration. Recknagel coefficients are given for the several states of the two configurations; as expected, these are much smaller for the u3u configuration. Also, the 1Δ state is relatively lower for the latter configuration.  相似文献

The emission spectrum of the He2 molecule has been rephotographed in the ~4000–~5700 Å region and the 4d(3Σu+, 3Πu, 3Δu) → 2pπ3Πg, 4d(1Σu+, 1Πu, 1Δu) → 2pπ1Πg, 4s3Σu+ → 2pπ3Πg and 4s1Σu+ → 2pπ1Πg transitions analyzed. The 4dδj3Δu, 4dπj3Πu, 4dσj3Σu+ and 4sh3Σu+ states have been characterized through v = 2 and the 4dδJ1Δu, 4dπJ1Πu, 4dσJ1Σu+, and 4sH1Σu+ states for v = 0. The term levels for these perturbed and l-uncoupled states have been confirmed (a) by analyses of bands with common levels from Δv = 0, ±1 sequences and (b) by analyses of the transitions between the above states from 4d and 4s and the c3Σg+ and C1Σg+ states associated with 3. Molecular constants are reported which have been partially corrected for the effects of l-uncoupling and the homogeneous perturbations between the state pairs J, H and j, h.  相似文献

Rare decay modes of the f meson are studied in the final states Δ++π+π?π+π?, Δ++π+π?MM and Δ++π+π?π+π?MM. The ratio Γ (f → π+π?π0π0)Γ(f → π+π?) is 0.23 ± 0.09 and Γ(f → 4 π) saturates the f inelasticity. A 2 s.d. upper limit of 0.09 is found for the branching ratio (f → ηη)(f → 2π).  相似文献

The ratio between the cross sections for the reactions π? p→ χ?0n and π?pη→2γ n has been measured to be (2.4 ± 0.9) × 10?2, (2.1 ± 0.6) × 10?2 and (2.8 ± 1.3) × 10?2 at 3.8,6,8 and 12 GeV/c incident momentum respectively.At the same momenta the cross section for πt- p → neutrals is (1.48 ± 0.09) mb, (0.86 ± 0.05) mb, (0.64 ± 0.04) mb and (0.42±0.03) mb.  相似文献

The (1-0), (2-0), and (3-0) transitions of 15N16O and 15N18O are investigated. The wavenumbers of the rotation-vibration lines are reported for the overtone bands and the 2Π32-2Π12 (1-0) subband. It is shown that in the data reduction it is advantageous to calculate first merged spectroscopic constants ignoring the Λ-type doubling. The vibrational constants ωe, ωexe, ωeye and the vibrational dependence of the rotational constants are determined. The study of 15N18O allows the determination of the equilibrium values of the centrifugal distortion correction ADe to the spin-orbit constant and of the spin-rotation constant γe from the isotopic invariance of the ratios ADeBe and γeBe. It is found that ADeBe = (?3.9 ± 1.3) × 10?6 and γeBe = (?4.00 ± 0.05) × 10?3.  相似文献
