Fe1−xCox alloy microparticles with size 3-5 μm and novel flower-like shapes were prepared by a simple low temperature reduction method. The electromagnetic properties for the paraffin matrix composites containing Fe1−xCox alloy microparticles were measured using a vector network analyzer in the 2-18 GHz frequency range. As a consequence of large surface- and shape-anisotropy energy for the flower-like shaped 3D microstructures, the strong natural resonance around 8-12 GHz and remarkable dielectric relaxation were observed in the complex permittivity and permeability spectrum, which are dominant in the enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption (EMA) performance. It was found that both the electromagnetic parameters of complex permittivity and permeability and the intensity and location of absorption band were remarkably dependent on the Co/Fe molar ratio. The enhanced EMA performance was obtained in these Fe1−xCox-paraffin (x=0.4, 0.5, and 0.6) composites system. For the Fe0.5Co0.5 alloy, the reflection loss (RL) exceeding −20 dB was obtained in the broad frequency range of 5.4-18 GHz with a thin sample thickness of between 1.0 and 2.9 mm. In particular, an optimal RL of −59 dB was obtained at 3.61 GHz with a thin thickness of 3.6 mm for the Fe0.4Co0.6 sample. The Fe1−xCox alloy microparticles may be attractive candidates for applications of microwave absorption materials with a wide frequency range and strong absorption in the high frequency region.  相似文献

The metal–ferrite composites FexCo1−x/CoyFe1−yFe2O4 are synthesized by using disproportion of Fe (II) and reduction of Co (II) by Fe0 under hydrothermal condition. The size of the particles of the composites decreases as the [KOH] decreasing. The composites are measured by TEM and it can be deduced that when [KOH] = 0.1, the size of the alloy body-centered cubic (BCC) in composites is 20 ± 7 nm, the size of the Cobalt ferrite (spinel) is 170 ± 50 nm. The maximal value of the saturation magnetization (Ms) of the composite is about 100.14 emu/g, which is synthesized under Co (II)/Fe (II) = 0.05, [KOH] = 1 N, T = 150 °C and t = 3 h. The value of Hc of the composite synthesized under Co (II)/Fe (II) = 0.5, t = 3 h, T = 150 °C and [KOH] = 10.2 mol/L is about 2878.19 Oe. The Fe–Co alloy is synthesized through a reduction reaction of the composites in a flowing gaseous mixture. There is a maximal value (302.9 emu/g) of the Ms for the alloys generated at 1000 °C, which is the Co0.412Fe0.588 alloy.  相似文献

A wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) for 980/1550 nm based on planar curved waveguide coupler (CWC) is proposed. Compared with conventional parallel straight waveguide coupler (SWC), this structure has more flexibility with two variable parameters of bending radius R and minimum edge-to-edge spacing d0, which are the two main parameters for the splitting ratio of coupler and decrease the complexity of device design and fabrication. Based on coupled mode theory (CMT) and waveguide theory, R and d0 of the WDM CWC are designed to be R=13.28 m and d0=4.39 μm. The contrast ratio (CR) and insertion loss (IL) for 980 and 1550 nm are CR1=24.62 dB, CR2=24.56 dB and IL1=0.014 dB, IL2=0.015 dB, respectively. The 3D beam propagation method (BPM) is used to verify the validity of the design result. The influence of R and d0 variations on the device performance is analyzed. For CR>20 dB, the variation ranges of R and d0 should be within −0.10 to +0.44 m and −0.05 to +0.02 μm, respectively.  相似文献

Iron oxide nanocrystals are of considerable interest in nanoscience and nanotechnology because of their nanoscale dimensions, nontoxic nature, and superior magnetic properties. Colloidal solutions of magnetic nanoparticles (ferrofluids) with a high magnetite content are highly desirable for most molecular imaging applications. In this paper, we present a method for in situ coating of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) with chitosan in order to increase the content of magnetite. Iron chloride salts (Fe3+ and Fe2+) were directly coprecipitated inside a porous matrix of chitosan by Co-60 γ-ray irradiation in an aqueous solution of acetic acid. Following sonication, iron oxide nanoparticles were formed inside the chitosan matrix at a pH value of 9.5 and a temperature of 50 °C. The [Fe3+]:[Fe2+]:[NH4OH] molar ratio was 1.6:1:15.8. The final ferrofluid was formed with a pH adjustment to approximately 2.0/3.0, alongside with the addition of mannitol and lactic acid. We subsequently characterized the particle size, the zeta potential, the iron concentration, the magnetic contrast, and the cellular uptake of our ferrofluid. Results showed a z-average diameter of 87.2 nm, a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.251, a zeta potential of 47.9 mV, and an iron concentration of 10.4 mg Fe/mL. The MRI parameters included an R1 value of 22.0 mM−1 s−1, an R2 value of 202.6 mM−1 s−1, and a R2/R1 ratio of 9.2. An uptake of the ferrofluid by mouse macrophages was observed. Altogether, our data show that Co-60 γ-ray radiation on solid chitosan may improve chitosan coating of iron oxide nanoparticles and tackle its aqueous solubility at pH 7. Additionally, our methodology allowed to obtain a ferrofluid with a higher content of magnetite and a fairly unimodal distribution of monodisperse clusters. Finally, MRI and cell experiments demonstrated the potential usefulness of this product as a potential MRI contrast agent that might be used for cell tracking.  相似文献

Magnetic nanoparticles of nickel substituted cobalt ferrite (NixCo1−xFe2O4:0≤x≤1) have been synthesized by co-precipitation route. Particles size as estimated by the full width half maximum (FWHM) of the strongest X-ray diffraction (XRD) peak and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques was found in the range 18–28±4 nm. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis confirms the presence of Co, Ni, Fe and oxygen as well as the desired phases in the prepared nanoparticles. The selective area electron diffraction (SAED) analysis confirms the crystalline nature of the prepared nanoparticles. Data collected from the magnetization hysteresis loops of the samples show that the prepared nanoparticles are highly magnetic at room temperature. Both coercivity and saturation magnetization of the samples were found to decrease linearly with increasing Ni-concentration in cobalt ferrite. Superparamagnetic blocking temperature as determined from the zero field cooled (ZFC) magnetization curve shows a decreasing trend with increasing Ni-concentration in cobalt ferrite nanoparticles.  相似文献

Separated AlxIn1−xN quantum dots (QDs) embedded in amorphous AlN films have been produced by radio-frequency co-sputtering technique on silicon (1 1 1) and quartz glass substrates. The mean size and density of AlxIn1−xN QDs can be conveniently monitored by deposition parameters. Transparent electron microscope, and X-ray diffraction were used to detect the structure of the AlxIn1−xN QDs system; field-emission scanning-electron microscope was adopted to measure the surface morphology and anticipate the size of the QDs; X-ray photoelectronic spectroscopy was used to measure the stoichiometric ratios of the QDs.  相似文献

We present a systematic investigation of the effects of oxygen growth pressure on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of In2O3:Cr thin films grown by pulsed laser deposition. X-ray diffraction analysis showed increases in lattice constant from 10.103 Å to 10.337 Å, and in particle size from 13.9 nm to 35.5 nm as the oxygen growth pressure increased from 7.5 × 10−6 Torr to 7.5 × 10−3 Torr, respectively. The observed shift in the X-ray diffraction peaks to lower angles was assumed to be caused by the reduction in the lattice defect density, precisely oxygen vacancies. The optical transparency increased with partial oxygen pressure (PO2), and an average transmittance of 85% was obtained at 7.5 × 10−3 Torr. The films are highly conducting with resistivity as low as 2 × 10−4 Ω cm and mobility as high as 133 cm/V s. Temperature dependent resistivity measurements in the 45 < T < 300 K temperature range reveal that films grown at 7.5×10−6PO2≤7.5×10−4 Torr exhibit negative temperature coefficient of resistivity (TCR) below approximately T = 60 K, T = 120 K, T = 160 K; then positive TCR in the temperature intervals 60 < T < 300 K, 120 < T < 300 K, and 160 < T < 300 K, respectively. This suggests that two disparate mechanisms govern electrical dc transport in the two temperature regions. Film grown at PO2 of 7.5 × 10−3 Torr displayed typical semiconducting behavior with negative TCR in the whole temperature region.  相似文献

Mn2O3/TiO2 solid solution was prepared from two different oxides, manganese oxide (from KMnO4 and ethanol) and TiO2, these samples were characterized by BET, XRD, EDAX, SEM, FT-IR, ESR, XPS and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. Photocatalytic activities of Mn2O3/TiO2 powder was investigated by photooxidation of different dyes like Rhodamine B, thymol blue, methyl orange and Bromocresol green under visible light (300-W Xe lamp; λ > 420 nm). The results show that the alloy of TiO2 with 1 mol% of Mn2O3 (MNT1) exhibit photocatalytic activity 3–5 times higher than that of P25 TiO2 for oxidation of various dyes (RB, TB, MO and BG). The average particle size and crystallite size of MNT1 were found to be 100 nm and 12 nm measured from SEM and XRD, respectively. The EPR spectra of the Mn2O3/TiO2 samples is a sharp five-line Mn(III) component centered on geff = 1.99.  相似文献

α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were prepared by high-energy ball milling using α-FeOOH as raw materials. The prepared samples were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential thermal analysis–thermogravimetric analysis (DTA–TGA). The results showed that after 90 h milling α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were obtained, and the particle size is about 20 nm. The mechanism of reaction during milling is supposed that the initial α-FeOOH powder turned smaller and smaller by the high-speed collision during ball milling, later these particles turned to be superparamagnetic, at last these superparamagnetic α-FeOOH particles were dehydrated and transformed into α-Fe2O3.  相似文献

Studies on the acid-base properties and solubility of a polyammonium polyelectrolyte (chitosan) with different molecular weights (MW 310 and 50 kDa), were performed at T = 25 °C, in the pH range 2.5–7. The protonation of chitosan was investigated by potentiometry ([H+]-glass electrode) in NaCl, NaNO3 and mixed NaNO3 + Na2SO4 ionic media, at different ionic strengths. Protonation constants were calculated as a function of dissociation degree α by means of two different models, namely, a simple linear model and the modified Henderson–Hasselbalch equation. Experimental data were also fitted using a model independent of α (Diprotic-like model), according to which the acid-base properties can be simply described by two protonation constants in all the acidic pH range. The dependence on ionic strength of protonation constants in NaCl aqueous solution was modelled by Specific ion Interaction Theory (SIT). The ion pair formation between protonated chitosan and Cl, NO3 and SO42− was also considered, and the relative formation constants are reported.Solubility investigations were performed in NaCl aqueous solutions in a wide range of ionic strength (0.1 < I/mol L− 1 < 3.0), with the aim to determine the activity coefficients of neutral species and the Setschenow coefficient of chitosan 310 kDa.  相似文献

Rod-like and platelet-like nanoparticles of simple-crystalline barium hexaferrite (BaFe12O19) have been synthesized by the molten salt method. Both particle size and morphology change with the reaction temperature and time. The easy magnetization direction (0 0 l) of the BaFe12O19 nanoparticles has been observed directly by performing X-ray diffraction on powders aligned at 0.5 T magnetic field. The magnetic properties of the BaFe12O19 magnet were investigated with various sintering temperatures. The maximum values of saturation magnetization (σs=65.8 emu/g), remanent magnetization (σr=56 emu/g) and coercivity field (Hic=5251 Oe) of the aligned samples occurred at the sintering temperatures of 1100 °C. These results indicate that BaFe12O19 nanoparticles synthesized by the molten salt method should enable detailed investigation of the size-dependent evolution of magnetism, microwave absorption, and realization of a nanodevice of magnetic media.  相似文献

Bactericidal activity of high concentration Ag nanoparticles immobilized on surface of an aqueous sol–gel silica thin film was investigated against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Size of the surface nanoparticles was estimated in the range of 35–80 nm by using atomic force microscopy. Due to accumulation of the silver nanoparticles at near the surface (at depth of 6 nm and about 40 times greater than the silver concentration in the sol), the synthesized Ag–SiO2 thin film (with area of 10 mm2) presented strong antibacterial activities against E. coli and S. aureus bacteria with relative rate of reduction of the viable bacteria of 1.05 and 0.73 h−1 for initial concentration of about 105 cfu/ml, respectively. In addition, the dominant mechanism of silver release in long times was determined based on water diffusion in surface pores of the silica film, unlike the usual diffusion of water on the surface of silver-based bulk materials. Therefore, the Ag nanoparticles embedded near the surface of the SiO2 thin film can be utilized in various antibacterial applications with a strong and long life activity.  相似文献

We present an open volume, high isolation, RF system suitable for pulsed NMR and EPR spectrometers with reduced dead time. It comprises a set of three RF surface coils disposed with mutually parallel RF fields and a double-channel receiver (RX). Theoretical and experimental results obtained with a prototype operating at about 100 MHz are reported. Each surface RF coil (diameter 5.5 cm) was tuned to f0 = 100.00 ± 0.01 MHz when isolated. Because of the mutual coupling and the geometry of the RF coils, only two resonances at f1 = 97.94 MHz and f2 = 101.85 MHz were observed. We show they are associated with two different RF field spatial distributions. In continuous mode (CW) operation the isolation between the TX coil and one of the RX coils (single-channel) was about −10 dB. By setting the double-channel RF assembly in subtraction mode the isolation values at f1 or f2 could be optimised to about −75 dB. Following a TX RF pulse (5 μs duration) an exponential decay with time constant of about 600 ns was observed. The isolation with single-channel RX coil was about −11 dB and it increased to about −47 dB with the double-channel RX in subtraction mode. Similar results were obtained with the RF pulse frequency selected to f2 and also with shorter (500 ns) RF pulses. The above geometrical parameters and operating frequency of the RF assembly were selected as a model for potential applications in solid state NMR and in free radical EPR spectroscopy and imaging.  相似文献

The 2ν3 overtone (A1E) and the ν1 + ν3 (E) combination bands of the oblate symmetric top 14NF3 were studied by FTIR spectroscopy with a resolution of 2.5 × 10−3 cm−1. Nearly 500 lines up to Kmax/Jmax = 30/43 were observed for the weak A1 component reaching the v3 = 20 substate (1803.1302 cm−1), the majority of which corresponded to reinforced K = 3p-type transitions. For the strong E component reaching the v3 = 2±2 substate (1810.4239 cm−1), about 3550 transitions were assigned up to Kmax/Jmax = 65/69, favoring a clear observation of the ℓ(4, −2) and ℓ(4, 4) splittings within the kℓ = −2 and +4 sublevels, respectively. The two v3 = 2 substates are linked by the ℓ(2, 2)- and ℓ(2, −1)-type interactions, providing severe crossings, respectively, at K′ = 6 and near K′ = 24 on the v3 = 2+2 side. A model working in the D-reduction and including all these ℓ-type interactions could reproduce together 3695 nonzero weighted experimental data (NZW) through 33 free parameters with a standard deviation of σ = 0.357 × 10−3  cm−1. As for the ν1 + ν3 (E) combination band, about 3690 lines were assigned up to Kmax/Jmax = 45/55. Its v1 = v3 = 1 upper state (1931.577 5 cm−1) was treated using the same model recently applied to the v3 = 1 (E, 907.5413 cm−1) state. It yielded 21 free parameters through 3282 NZW experimental data, adjusted with σ = 0.344 × 10−3  cm−1 in the D-reduction. For the two excited states, the small and unobserved ℓ(0, 6) interaction was tested as useless. To confirm the adequacy of the vibrationally isolated models used, some other reductions of the Hamiltonian were tried. For the v3 = 2 state, the D-, L-, and LD-reductions led to similar σ’s, while the Q one was not successful. For the v1 = v3 = 1 state, the D- and Q-reductions gave comparable σ’s, while the QD-reduction was not as good. The corresponding unitary equivalence relations are generally more nicely fulfilled for the v3 = 2 state than for the v1 = v3 = 1 state. The three derivable anharmonicity constants in cm−1 are x33 = −4.1528, g33 = +1.8235 and x13 = −7.9652.  相似文献

Palladium–vanadium (Pd/V) alloy nanoparticles stabilized with n-pentyl isocyanide were prepared as new hydrogen storage materials by a facile polyol-based synthetic route with tetraethylene glycol and NaOH at 250 °C. The size distribution of the nanoparticles thus obtained featured two peaks at 4.0 ± 1.1 and 1.4 ± 0.3 nm in diameter, which were the mixture of Pd/V alloy and Pd nanoparticles. The ratio between the number of Pd/V and that of Pd nanoparticles was 51:49, and the Pd:V ratio of the overall product was 9:1 in wt%, indicating that the 4.0 nm Pd/V nanoparticles were composed of 81% Pd and 19% V. The inclusion of vanadium caused the increase in the d-spacing and thus expansion of lattice constant. A rapid increase in hydrogen content at low H2 pressures was observed for the Pd/V nanoparticles, and a 0.47 wt% H2 adsorption capacity was achieved under a H2 pressure of 10 MPa at 303 K. Hydrogen storage performances of Pd/V alloy nanoparticles was superior compared with Pd nanoparticles.  相似文献

The interaction of Na9[SbW9O33]·19.5H2O (SbW) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) is studied by spectroscopic and voltammetric methods. Absorption spectroscopy of BSA and the linear sweep voltammetry of SbW proved the formation of ground-state SbW–BSA complex. Fluorescence quenching of serum albumin by SbW is also found to be a static quenching process. The binding constant Ka is 4.13×104 L mol−1 for SbW–BSA at pH 7.40 Tris–HCl buffer at 295 K. The number of binding sites and the apparent binding constants at different temperatures are obtained from the analysis of the fluorescence quenching data. The thermodynamic parameters determined by the Van’t Hoff analysis of the binding constants (ΔH=−80.01 kJ mol−1 and ΔS=−182.85 J mol−1 K−1) clearly show that the binding is absolutely entropy driven. Hydrogen bonding and van der Waals interaction force play major role in stabilizing the complex. The effect of SbW on the conformation of BSA is analyzed using synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy.  相似文献

In this study, Cu (II) complex/n-Si structure has been fabricated by forming a thin organic Cu (II) complex film on n-Si wafer. It has been seen that the structure has clearly shown the rectifying behaviour and can be evaluated as a Schottky diode. The contact parameters of the diode such as the barrier height and the ideality factor have been calculated using several methods proposed by different authors from current–voltage (IV) characteristics of the device. The calculated barrier height and ideality factor values from different methods have shown the consistency of the approaches. The obtained ideality factor which is greater than unity refers the deviation from ideal diode characteristics. This deviation can be attributed to the native interfacial layer in the organic/inorganic interface and the high series resistance of the diode. In addition, the energy distribution of the interface state density (Nss) in the semiconductor band gap at Cu (II) complex/n-Si interface obtained from IV characteristics range from 2.15 × 1013 cm−2 eV−1 at (Ec  0.66) eV to 5.56 × 1012 cm−2 eV−1 at (Ec  0.84) eV.  相似文献

Microwave absorption properties of the nanocrystalline strontium ferrite (SrFe12O19) and iron (α-Fe) microfibers for single-layer and double-layer structures are investigated in a frequency range of 2 GHz-18 GHz. For the single-layer absorbers, the nanocrystalline SrFe12O19 microfibers show some microwave absorptions at 6 GHz-18 GHz, with a minimum reflection loss (RL) value of -11.9 dB at 14.1 GHz for a specimen thickness of 3.0 mm, while for the nanocrystalline α-Fe microfibers, their absorptions largely take place at 15 GHz-18 GHz with the RL value exceeding -10 dB, with a minimum RL value of about -24 dB at 17.5 GHz for a specimen thickness of 0.7 mm. For the double-layer absorber with an absorbing layer of α-Fe microfibers with a thickness of 0.7 mm and matching layer of SrFe12O19 microfibers with a thickness of 1.3 mm, the minimum RL value is about -63 dB at 16.4 GHz and the absorption band width is about 6.7 GHz ranging from 11.3 GHz to 18 GHz with the RL value exceeding -10 dB which covers the whole Ku-band (12.4 GHz-18 GHz) and 27% of X-band (8.2 GHz-12.4 GHz).  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the third part of the analysis of the very weak absorption spectrum of the 18O3 isotopologue of ozone recorded by CW-Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy between 5930 and 6900 cm−1. In the two first parts [A. Campargue, A. Liu, S. Kassi, D. Romanini, M.-R. De Backer-Barilly, A. Barbe, E. Starikova, S.A. Tashkun, Vl.G. Tyuterev, J. Mol. Spectrosc. (2009), doi: 10.1016/j.jms.2009.02.012 and E. Starikova, M.-R. De Backer-Barilly, A. Barbe, Vl.G. Tyuterev, A. Campargue, A.W.Liu, S. Kassi, J. Mol. Spectrosc. (2009) doi: 10.1016/j.jms.2009.03.013], the effective operators approach was used to model the spectrum in the 6200–6400 and 5930–6080 cm−1 regions, respectively. The analysis of the whole investigated region is completed by the present investigation of the 6490–6900 cm−1 upper range. Three sets of interacting states have been treated separately. The first one falls in the 6490–6700 cm−1 region, where 1555 rovibrational transitions were assigned to three A-type bands: 3ν2 + 5ν3, 5ν1 + ν2 + ν3 and 2ν1 + 3ν2 + 3ν3 and one B-type band: ν1 + 3ν2 + 4ν3. The corresponding line positions were reproduced with an rms deviation of 18.4 × 10−3 cm−1 by using an effective Hamiltonian (EH) model involving eight vibrational states coupled by resonance interactions. In the highest spectral region – 6700–6900 cm−1 – 389 and 183 transitions have been assigned to the ν1 + 2ν2 + 5ν3 and 4ν1 + 3ν2 + ν3 A-type bands, respectively. These very weak bands correspond to the most excited upper vibrational states observed so far in ozone. The line positions of the ν1 + 2ν2 + 5ν3 band were reproduced with an rms deviation of 7.3 × 10−3 cm−1 by using an EH involving the {(054), (026), (125)} interacting states. The coupling of the (431) upper state with the (502) dark state was needed to account for the observed line positions of the 4ν1 + 3ν2 + ν3 band (rms = 5.7 × 10−3 cm−1).The dipole transition moment parameters were determined for the different observed bands. The obtained set of parameters and the experimentally determined energy levels were used to generate a complete line list provided as Supplementary Materials. The results of the analyses of the whole 5930–6900 cm−1 spectral region were gathered and used for a comparison of the band centres to their calculated values. The agreement achieved for both 18O3 and 16O3 (average difference on the order of 1 cm−1) indicates that the used potential energy surface provides accurate predictions up to a vibrational excitation approaching 80% of the dissociation energy. The comparison of the 18O3 and 16O3 band intensities is also discussed, opening a field of questions concerning the variation of the dipole moments and resonance intensity borrowing by isotopic substitution.  相似文献

The optical and structural properties of mixed ZnO/MgO particles prepared by solution techniques are investigated by the cathodoluminescence and electron microscopy techniques. The samples annealed at 400–1000 °C show well crystalline wurtzite structure of the ZnO (MgZnO) particles with the size in range of 10–100 nm. Annealing at high temperatures (>700 °C) leads to Mg diffusion in ZnO and MgxZn1−xO alloy formation. The blue shifts of the near-band-edge emission as a result of the alloy band gap widening and quantum confinement effect for the small size particles are demonstrated.  相似文献
