We present general results about graded C*-algebras and continue the previously initiated research of the C*-algebra generated by the left regular representation of an abelian semigroup. We study the invariant ideals of this C*-algebra invariant with respect to the representation of a compact group G in the automorphism group of this algebra. We prove that the invariance of the ideal is equivalent to the fact that this ideal is graded C*-algebra, that there is a maximum of all invariant ideals, and it is the commutator ideal. Separately we study a class of graded primitive ideals generated by a single projector.  相似文献

We study the structure of Lie groups admitting left invariant abelian complex structures in terms of commutative associative algebras. If, in addition, the Lie group is equipped with a left invariant Hermitian structure, it turns out that such a Hermitian structure is Kähler if and only if the Lie group is the direct product of several copies of the real hyperbolic plane by a Euclidean factor. Moreover, we show that if a left invariant Hermitian metric on a Lie group with an abelian complex structure has flat first canonical connection, then the Lie group is abelian.  相似文献

A special symplectic Lie group is a triple ${(G,\omega,\nabla)}$ such that G is a finite-dimensional real Lie group and ω is a left invariant symplectic form on G which is parallel with respect to a left invariant affine structure ${\nabla}$ . In this paper starting from a special symplectic Lie group we show how to “deform” the standard Lie group structure on the (co)tangent bundle through the left invariant affine structure ${\nabla}$ such that the resulting Lie group admits families of left invariant hypersymplectic structures and thus becomes a hypersymplectic Lie group. We consider the affine cotangent extension problem and then introduce notions of post-affine structure and post-left-symmetric algebra which is the underlying algebraic structure of a special symplectic Lie algebra. Furthermore, we give a kind of double extensions of special symplectic Lie groups in terms of post-left-symmetric algebras.  相似文献

A Poisson structure on a Lie group is called left invariant if the contravariant 2-tensor field π corresponding to the Poisson structure is left invariant. Explicit examples of such structures were known only for few cases, and in this paper, we give new examples of high rank left invariant Poisson structures for all non-compact classical real simple Lie groups. This result is equivalent to give constant solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation [r 12,r 13]+[r 12,r 23]+[r 13,r 23]=0 taking values in the space ^2g for these Lie groups.  相似文献

For a Lau algebra A, we study the Banach space WAP(A) of all weakly almost periodic functionals on A to obtain some equivalent conditions for the existence of topological left invariant means on a topological left introverted subspace X of A contained in WAP(A). This paper presents a study of contact metric manifolds for which the characteristic vector field of the contact structure satisfies a nullity type condition, condition (*) below. There are a number of reasons for studying this condition and results concerning it given in the paper: There exist examples in all dimensions; the condition is invariant underD-homothetic deformations; in dimensions>5 the condition determines the curvature completely; and in dimension 3 a complete, classification is given, in particular these include the 3-dimensional unimodular Lie groups with a left invariant metric. Equicontinuous semigroups of transformations of a compact Hausdorff space and their sets of all invariant (Borel, regular and probabilistic) measures are studied. Let S be a semitopological semgroup and let Cb (S) denote the B*-algebra of all continuous bounded complex-valued functions on S. In this paper, we consider a left m-introverted and translation invariant B*-subalgebra F of Cb(S) containing the constant functions. Our concern is with ΔF, the maximal ideal space of F up to an isomorphic homeomorphism, when it is made into a compact right topological semigroup containing a dense continous homomorphic image of S under the Gelfand topology and a suitably chosen binary operation. We establish a representation of the closed left ideals of ΔF and study its centre and ideal structure in some special cases.  相似文献

We give a solution to the equivalence problem for Bishop surfaces with the Bishop invariant λ=0. As a consequence, we answer, in the negative, a problem that Moser asked in 1985 after his work with Webster in 1983 and his own work in 1985. This will be done in two major steps: We first derive the formal normal form for such surfaces. We then show that two real analytic Bishop surfaces with λ=0 are holomorphically equivalent if and only if they have the same formal normal form (up to a trivial rotation). Our normal form is constructed by an induction procedure through a completely new weighting system from what is used in the literature. Our convergence proof is done through a new hyperbolic geometry associated with the surface. As an immediate consequence of the work in this paper, we will see that the modular space of Bishop surfaces with the Bishop invariant vanishing and with the Moser invariant s<∞ is of infinite dimension. This phenomenon is strikingly different from the celebrated theory of Moser–Webster for elliptic Bishop surfaces with non-vanishing Bishop invariants where the surfaces only have two and one half invariants. Notice also that there are many real analytic hyperbolic Bishop surfaces, which have the same Moser–Webster formal normal form but are not holomorphically equivalent to each other as shown by Moser–Webster and Gong. Hence, Bishop surfaces with the Bishop invariant λ=0 behave very differently from hyperbolic Bishop surfaces and elliptic Bishop surfaces with non-vanishing Bishop invariants.  相似文献

In the paper we consider a system of a ball that rolls without slipping on a plane. The ball is assumed to be inhomogeneous and its center of mass does not necessarily coincide with its geometric center. We have proved that the governing equations can be recast into a system of six ODEs that admits four integrals of motion. Thus, the phase space of the system is foliated by invariant 2-tori; moreover, this foliation is equivalent to the Liouville foliation encountered in the case of Euler of the rigid body dynamics. However, the system cannot be solved in terms of quadratures because there is no invariant measure which we proved by finding limit cycles.  相似文献

In this paper the operator-valued martingale transform inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces are proved. Some well-known results are generalized and unified. Applications are given to classical operators such as the maximal operator and the p-variation operator of vector-valued martingales, then we can very easily obtain some new vector-valued martingale inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces. These inequalities are closely related to both the geometrical properties of the underlying Banach spaces and the Boyd indices of the rearrangement invariant function spaces. Finally we give an equivalent characterization of UMD Banach lattices, and also prove the Fefferman-Stein theorem in the rearrangement invariant function spaces setting.  相似文献

A generalized integral representation formula for spacelike maximal surfaces in a certain 3-dimensional homogeneous spacetime is obtained. This spacetime has a solvable Lie group structure with left invariant metric. The normal Gauß map of maximal surfaces in the homogeneous spacetime is discussed and the harmonicity of the normal Gauß map is studied.  相似文献

An initial-value technique, which is simple to use and easy to implement, is presented for a class of nonlinear, singularly perturbed two-point boundary-value problems with a boundary layer on the left end of the underlying interval. It is distinguished by the following fact: The original second-order problem is replaced by an asymptotically equivalent first-order problem and is solved as an initial-value problem. In this paper we show that the reducibility structure of several covers of sofic shifts is a flow invariant. In addition, we prove that for an irreducible subshift of almost finite type the left Krieger cover and the past set cover are reducible. We provide an example which shows that there are non almost finite type shifts which have reducible left Krieger covers. As an application we show that the Matsumoto algebra of an irreducible, strictly sofic shift of almost finite type is not simple.  相似文献

In this article, conditions for the preservation of quadratic and Hamiltonian invariants by numerical methods which can be written as B-series are derived in a purely algebraical way. The existence of a modified invariant is also investigated and turns out to be equivalent, up to a conjugation, to the preservation of the exact invariant. A striking corollary is that a symplectic method is formally conjugate to a method that preserves the Hamitonian exactly. Another surprising consequence is that the underlying one-step method of a symmetric multistep scheme is formally conjugate to a symplectic P-series when applied to Newton’s equations of motion.  相似文献
