The ternary systems of C2H4 (C2H2 or C6H6)‐MCN‐HF (M=Cu, Ag, Au) and the respective binary systems were investigated to study the interplay between metal???π interactions and hydrogen bonds. The metal???π interactions in C2H4‐MCN become stronger with the irregular order Ag<Cu<Au, while the hydrogen bonds in MCN‐HF become weaker following the same order. The metal???π interactions are weakened as the H atoms in the π system are replaced with electron‐withdrawing groups and enhanced by electron‐donating groups. Type 1 of these ternary systems, in which MCN acts as Lewis base and acid simultaneously, is more stable than type 2, in which C2H4 acts as a double Lewis base. Negative cooperativity is present in type 2 ternary systems with a weakening of the metal???π interactions and the hydrogen bonds. Positive cooperativity is found in type 1 ternary systems with an enhancement of the metal???π interactions and the hydrogen bonds, except for C2(CN)4‐AuCN‐HF‐1. The weaker metal???π interaction in C6H6‐AuCN has a greater enhancing effect on the hydrogen bond in AuCN‐HF than those in C2H4‐AuCN and C2H2‐AuCN. These synergetic effects were analyzed with the natural bond orbital and energy decomposition.  相似文献

Current interest in lone‐pair???π (lp???π) interactions is gaining momentum in biochemistry and (supramolecular) chemistry. However, the physicochemical origin of the exceptionally short (ca. 2.8 Å) oxygen‐to‐nucleobase plane distances observed in prototypical Z‐DNA CpG steps remains unclear. High‐level quantum mechanical calculations, including SAPT2+3 interaction energy decompositions, demonstrate that lp???π contacts do not result from n→π* orbital overlaps but from weak dispersion and electrostatic interactions combined with stereochemical effects imposed by the locally strained structural context. They also suggest that the carbon van der Waals (vdW) radii, originally derived for sp3 carbons, should not be used for smaller sp2 carbons attached to electron‐withdrawing groups. Using a more adapted carbon vdW radius results in these lp???π contacts being no longer of the sub‐vdW type. These findings challenge the whole lp???π concept that refers to elusive orbital interactions that fail to explain short interatomic contact distances.  相似文献

A synthetic strategy for the generation of new molecular species utilizing a provision of nature is presented. Nano‐dimensional (23(2)×21(1)×16(1) Å3) hetero‐four‐layered trimetallacyclophanes were constructed by proof‐of‐concept experiments that utilize a suitable combination of π???π interactions between the central aromatic rings, tailor‐made short/long spacer tridentate donors, and the combined helicity. The behavior of the unprecedented four‐layered metallacyclophane system offers a landmark in the development of new molecular systems.  相似文献

Protein structure and function is dependent on myriad noncovalent interactions. Direct detection and characterization of these weak interactions in large biomolecules, such as proteins, is experimentally challenging. Herein, we report the first observation and measurement of long‐range “through‐space” scalar couplings between methyl and backbone carbonyl groups in proteins. These J couplings are indicative of the presence of noncovalent C−H⋅⋅⋅π hydrogen‐bond‐like interactions involving the amide π network. Experimentally detected scalar couplings were corroborated by a natural bond orbital analysis, which revealed the orbital nature of the interaction and the origins of the through‐space J couplings. The experimental observation of this type of CH⋅⋅⋅π interaction adds a new dimension to the study of protein structure, function, and dynamics by NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Synthesis of heteroatom‐containing ladder‐type π‐conjugated molecules was successfully achieved via a palladium‐catalyzed intramolecular oxidative C?H/C?H cross‐coupling reaction. This reaction provides a variety of π‐conjugated molecules bearing heteroatoms, such as nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and sulfur atoms, and a carbonyl group. The π‐conjugated molecules were synthesized efficiently, even in gram scale, and larger π‐conjugated molecules were also obtained by a double C?H/C?H cross‐coupling reaction and successive oxidative cycloaromatization.  相似文献

Weak C? H???X hydrogen bonds are important stabilizing forces in crystal engineering and anion recognition in solution. In contrast, their quantitative influence on the stabilization of supramolecular polymers or gels has thus far remained unexplored. Herein, we report an oligophenyleneethynylene (OPE)‐based amphiphilic PtII complex that forms supramolecular polymeric structures in aqueous and polar media driven by π–π and different weak C‐H???X (X=Cl, O) interactions involving chlorine atoms attached to the PtII centers as well as oxygen atoms and polarized methylene groups belonging to the peripheral glycol chains. A collection of experimental techniques (UV/Vis, 1D and 2D NMR, DLS, AFM, SEM, and X‐Ray diffraction) demonstrate that the interplay between different weak noncovalent interactions leads to the cooperative formation of self‐assembled structures of high aspect ratio and gels in which the molecular arrangement is maintained in the crystalline state.  相似文献

The formation of C?C bonds embodies the core of organic chemistry because of its fundamental application in generation of molecular diversity and complexity. C?C bond‐forming reactions are well‐known challenges. To achieve this goal through direct functionalization of C?H bonds in both of the coupling partners represents the state‐of‐the‐art in organic synthesis. Oxidative C?C bond formation obviates the need for prefunctionalization of both substrates. This Minireview is dedicated to the field of C?C bond‐forming reactions through direct C?H bond functionalization under completely metal‐free oxidative conditions. Selected important developments in this area have been summarized with representative examples and discussions on their reaction mechanisms.  相似文献

The first highly efficient and scalable cobalt‐catalyzed directed C? H functionalization with carbene precursors is presented. Cooperativity between weak hydrogen bonds can be revealed in molecular clusters isolated in the gas phase. Here we examine the structure, internal dynamics, and origin of the weak intermolecular forces between sevoflurane and a benzene molecule, using multi‐isotopic broadband rotational spectra. This heterodimer is held together by a primary C? H???π hydrogen bond, assisted by multiple weak C? H???F interactions. The multiple nonbonding forces hinder the internal rotation of benzene around the isopropyl C? H bond in sevoflurane, producing detectable quantum tunneling effects in the rotational spectrum.  相似文献

The reaction of the N‐thiophosphorylated thiourea (HOCH2)(Me)2CNHC(S)NHP(S)(OiPr)2 (HL), deprotonated by the thiophosphorylamide group, with NiCl2 leads to green needles of the pseudotetrahedral complex [Ni(L‐1,5‐S,S′)2] ? 0.5 (n‐C6H14) or pale green blocks of the trans square‐planar complex trans‐[Ni(L‐1,5‐S,S′)2]. The former complex is stabilized by homopolar dihydrogen C?H???H?C interactions formed by n‐hexane solvent molecules with the [Ni(L‐1,5‐S,S′)2] unit. Furthermore, the dispersion‐dominated C?H??? H?C interactions are, together with other noncovalent interactions (C?H???N, C?H???Ni, C?H???S), responsible for pseudotetrahedral coordination around the NiII center in [Ni(L ‐1,5‐S,S′)2] ? 0.5 (n‐C6H14).  相似文献

This study focuses on a series of cationic complexes of iridium that contain aminopyridinate (Ap) ligands bound to an (η5‐C5Me5)IrIII fragment. The new complexes have the chemical composition [Ir(Ap)(η5‐C5Me5)]+, exist in the form of two isomers ( 1+ and 2+ ) and were isolated as salts of the BArF? anion (BArF=B[3,5‐(CF3)2C6H3]4). Four Ap ligands that differ in the nature of their bulky aryl substituents at the amido nitrogen atom and pyridinic ring were employed. In the presence of H2, the electrophilicity of the IrIII centre of these complexes allows for a reversible prototropic rearrangement that changes the nature and coordination mode of the aminopyridinate ligand between the well‐known κ2‐N,N′‐bidentate binding in 1+ and the unprecedented κ‐N3‐pseudo‐allyl‐coordination mode in isomers 2+ through activation of a benzylic C?H bond and formal proton transfer to the amido nitrogen atom. Experimental and computational studies evidence that the overall rearrangement, which entails reversible formation and cleavage of H?H, C?H and N?H bonds, is catalysed by dihydrogen under homogeneous conditions.  相似文献

Over the last decade, substantial research has led to the introduction of an impressive number of efficient procedures which allow the selective construction of C? C bonds by directly connecting two different C? H bonds under oxidative conditions. Common to these methodologies is the generation of the reactive intermediates in situ by activation of both C? H bonds. This strategy was introduced by the group of Li as cross‐dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) and discloses waste‐minimized synthetic alternatives to classic coupling procedures which rely on the use of prefunctionalized starting materials. This Review highlights the recent progress in the field of cross‐dehydrogenative C? C formations and provides a comprehensive overview on existing procedures and employed methodologies.  相似文献

Herein, we demonstrate that tritylamines undergo an unprecedented copper‐mediated cyclization involving the cleavages of two C?H bonds and one C?N bond to give 9‐arylacridine derivatives. This kind of acridines is of interest due to their biological properties and their unique optical and electro‐ and photochemical properties. Some of obtained acridine derivatives exhibit intense fluorescence in the solid state.  相似文献

A mechanistic study was performed on the Rh‐catalyzed stereoselective C?C/C?H activation of tert‐cyclobutanols. The present study corroborated the previous proposal that the reaction occurs by metalation, β‐C elimination, 1,4‐Rh transfer, C?O insertion, and a final catalyst‐regeneration step. The rate‐determining step was found to be the 1,4‐Rh transfer step, whereas the stereoselectivity‐determining step did not correspond to any of the aforementioned steps. It was found that both the thermodynamic stability of the product of the β‐C elimination and the kinetic feasibility of the 1,4‐Rh transfer and C?O insertion steps made important contributions. In other words, three steps (i.e., β‐C elimination, 1,4‐Rh transfer, and C?O insertion) were found to be important in determining the configurations of the two quaternary stereocenters.  相似文献

A copper‐catalyzed aerobic oxidative amidation reaction of inert C?C bonds with tertiary amines has been developed for the synthesis of tertiary amides, which are significant units in many natural products, pharmaceuticals, and fine chemicals. This method combines C?C bond activation, C?N bond cleavage, and C?H bond oxygenation in a one‐pot protocol, using molecular oxygen as the sole oxidant without any additional ligands.  相似文献

The influences of the Li???π interaction of C6H6???LiOH on the H???π interaction of C6H6???HOX (X=F, Cl, Br, I) and the X???π interaction of C6H6???XOH (X=Cl, Br, I) are investigated by means of full electronic second‐order Møller–Plesset perturbation theory calculations and “quantum theory of atoms in molecules” (QTAIM) studies. The binding energies, binding distances, infrared vibrational frequencies, and electron densities at the bond critical points (BCPs) of the hydrogen bonds and halogen bonds prove that the addition of the Li???π interaction to benzene weakens the H???π and X???π interactions. The influences of the Li???π interaction on H???π interactions are greater than those on X???π interactions; the influences of the H???π interactions on the Li???π interaction are greater than X???π interactions on Li???π interaction. The greater the influence of Li???π interaction on H/X???π interactions, the greater the influences of H/X???π interactions on Li???π interaction. QTAIM studies show that the intermolecular interactions of C6H6???HOX and C6H6???XOH are mainly of the π type. The electron densities at the BCPs of hydrogen bonds and halogen bonds decrease on going from bimolecular complexes to termolecular complexes, and the π‐electron densities at the BCPs show the same pattern. Natural bond orbital analyses show that the Li???π interaction reduces electron transfer from C6H6 to HOX and XOH.  相似文献

Seven E[Cu(OR)2] copper(I) complexes (E=K+, {K(18C6)}+ (18C6=[18]crown‐6), or Ph4P+; R=C4F9, CPhMeF2, and CMeMeF2) have been prepared and their reactivity with O2 studied. The K[Cu(OR)2] species react with O2 in a copper‐concentration‐dependent manner such that 2:1 and 3:1 Cu/O2 adducts are observed manometrically at ?78 °C. Analogous reactivity with O2 is not observed with the {K(18C6)}+ or Ph4P+ derivatives. Solution conductivity data demonstrate that these K[Cu(OR)2] complexes do not behave as 1:1 electrolytes in solution. The K+ ions induce aggregation of multiple [Cu(OR)2]? units through K???F/O interactions and thereby effect irreversible O2 reduction by multiple Cu centers. Bond valence analyses for the potassium cations confirm the dominance of the fluorine interactions in the coordination spheres of K+ ions. Intramolecular hydroxylation of ligand aryl and alkyl C? H bonds is observed. Nucleophilic reactivity with CO2 is observed for the oxygenated Cu complexes and a CuII carbonate has been isolated and characterized.  相似文献

Fluorination reactions are essential to modern medicinal chemistry, thus providing a means to block site‐selective metabolic degradation of drugs and access radiotracers for positron emission tomography imaging. Despite current sophistication in fluorination reagents and processes, the fluorination of unactivated C? H bonds remains a significant challenge. Reported herein is a convenient and economic process for direct fluorination of unactivated C? H bonds that exploits the hydrogen abstracting ability of a decatungstate photocatalyst in combination with the mild fluorine atom transfer reagent N‐fluorobenzenesulfonimide. This operationally straightforward reaction provides direct access to a wide range of fluorinated organic molecules, including structurally complex natural products, acyl fluorides, and fluorinated amino acid derivatives.  相似文献

A new method for metal‐free intramolecular C?H amination has been developed. Electrochemical oxidation of 2‐pyrimidyloxybenzenes and 2‐pyrimidylthiobenzenes, which can be easily prepared from phenols and thiophenols, respectively, followed by the treatment of the resulting pyrimidinium ions with piperidine gives 2‐aminobenzoxazoles and 2‐aminobenzothiazoles, respectively.  相似文献
