Gold catalysts with loadings ranging from 0.5 to 7.0 wt% on a ZnO/Al2O3 support were prepared by the deposition–precipitation method (Au/ZnO/Al2O3) with ammonium bicarbonate as the precipitation agent and were evaluated for performance in CO oxidation. These catalysts were characterized by inductively coupled plasma-atom emission spectrometry, temperature programmed reduction, and scanning transmission electron microscopy. The catalytic activity for CO oxidation was measured using a flow reactor under atmospheric pressure. Catalytic activity was found to be strongly dependent on the reduction property of oxygen adsorbed on the gold surface, which related to gold particle size. Higher catalytic activity was found when the gold particles had an average diameter of 3–5 nm; in this range, gold catalysts were more active than the Pt/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst in CO oxidation. Au/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst with small amount of ZnO is more active than Au/Al2O3 catalyst due to higher dispersion of gold particles.  相似文献

The physicochemical properties of Co-supported catalysts were studied, and the particle size of Co in Co/MgO/Al2O3 and Co-0.2% Ru/MgO/Al2O3 catalysts for the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was estimated using a magnetic method. It was found that a considerable fraction of superparamagnetic Co particles, which increase selectivity for C5+ hydrocarbons and decrease the yield of methane in the FTS, was present in a ruthenium-containing catalyst along with single-domain ferromagnetic particles. In this case, the catalyst activity increased by a factor of 10.  相似文献

Using Fe3O4 nano-particles as seeds, a new type of Fe3O4/Au composite particles with core/shell structure and diameter of about 170 nm was prepared by reduction of Au3+ with hydroxylamine in an aqueous solution. Particle size analyzer and transmission electron microscope were used to analyze the size distribution and microstructure of the particles in different conditions. The result showed that the magnetically responsive property and suspension stability of Fe3O4 seeds as well as reduction conditions of Au3+to Au0are the main factors which are crucial for obtaining a colloid of the Fe3O4/Au composite particles with uniform particle dispersion, excellent stability, homogeneity in particle sizes, and effective response to an external magnet in aqueous suspension solutions. UV-Vis analysis revealed that there is a characteristic peak of Fe3O4/Au fluid. For particles with d(0.5)=168 nm, the λmax is 625 nm.  相似文献

The mean size of Co particles and the variance of distribution were shown to increase as the temperature of calcining grew. The size was maximum at a 400°C temperature of calcining and decreased somewhat at 500°C. The mean Co particle size decreased in the presence of Pt, and the particle-size distribution narrowed. A decrease in the mean particle size in the Co/Pt/Al2O3 catalyst increased selectivity with respect to methane and decreased selectivity with respect to C5+.  相似文献

Nanocomposite cellulose films with obvious magnetic anisotropy have been prepared by in situ synthesis of plate-like Fe2O3 nanoparticles in the cellulose matrix. The influence of the concentrations of FeCl2 and FeCl3 solutions on the morphology and particle size of the synthesized Fe2O3 nanoparticles as well as on the properties of the composite films has been investigated. The Fe2O3 nanoparticles synthesized in the cellulose matrix was γ-Fe2O3, and its morphology was plate-like with size about 48 nm and thickness about 9 nm, which was totally different from those reported works. The concentration of FeCl2 and FeCl3 solution has little influence on the particle size and morphology of the Fe2O3 nanoparticles, while the content of Fe2O3 nanoparticles increased with the increase of the concentration of the precursor solution, indicating that porous structured cellulose matrix could modulate the growth of inorganic nanoparticles. The unique morphology of the Fe2O3 nanoparticles endowed the composite films with obvious magnetic anisotropy, which would expand the applications of the cellulose based nanomaterials.  相似文献

The SrFe12O19/poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) composite fiber precursors were prepared by the sol-gel assisted electrospinning with ferric nitrate, strontium nitrate and PVP as starting reagents. Subsequently, the M-type strontium ferrite (SrFe12O19) nanofibers were derived from calcination of these precursors at 750–1,000 °C.The composite precursors and strontium ferrite nanofibers were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer. The structural evolution process of strontium ferrite consists of the thermal decomposition and M-type strontium ferrite formation. After calcined at 750 °C for 2 h the single M-type strontium ferrite phase is formed by reactions of iron oxide and strontium oxide produced during the precursor decomposition process. The nanofiber morphology, diameter, crystallite size and grain morphology are mainly influenced by the calcination temperature and holding time. The SrFe12O19 nanofibers characterized with diameters of around 100 nm and a necklace-like structure obtained at 900 °C for 2 h, which is fabricated by nanosized particles about 60 nm with the plate-like morphology elongated in the preferred direction perpendicular to the c-axis, show the optimized magnetic property with saturation magnetization 59 A m2 kg−1 and coercivity 521 kA m−1. It is found that the single domain critical size for these M-type strontium ferrite nanofibers is around 60 nm.  相似文献

Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanofibers with addition of 0–5 wt% Bi2O3 were synthesized by calcination of the electrospun polyvinylpyrrolidone/inorganic composite nanofibers at the temperature below the melting point of Bi2O3. The effects of Bi2O3 addition on the phase structure, morphology and magnetic properties of the nanofibers were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, selected area electron diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. It is found that the nanofiber diameter, crystallite size and magnetic parameters can be effectively tuned by simply adjusting the amount of Bi2O3 addition. The average diameter of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanofibers doped with different contents of Bi2O3 ranges from 40 to 63 nm and gradually decreases with increasing Bi2O3 content. The addition of Bi2O3 does not induce the phase change and all the samples are a single-phase spinel structure. The amorphous Bi2O3 tends to concentrate on the nanoparticle surface and/or grain boundary and can retard the particles motion as well as the grain growth, resulting in a considerable reduction in grain size compared to the pristine sample. The specific saturation magnetization and coercivity of the nanofibers gradually decrease with the increase of Bi2O3 amount. Such behaviors are explained on the basis of chemical composition, surface effect, domain structure and crystal anisotropy.  相似文献

Sr0.8La0.2Zn0.2Fe11.8O19/poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) composite fiber precursors were prepared by the sol–gel assisted electrospinning. Subsequently, the M-type ferrite Sr0.8La0.2Zn0.2Fe11.8O19 nanofibers with diameters about 120 nm were obtained by calcination of these precursors at different heat treatment conditions. The precursor and resultant Sr0.8La0.2Zn0.2Fe11.8O19 nanofibers were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer and vibrating sample magnetometer. With the calcination temperature increased up to 1,000 °C for 2 h or the holding time prolonged to 12 h at 900 °C, the Sr0.8La0.2Zn0.2Fe11.8O19 particles gradually grow into a hexagonal elongated plate-like morphology due to the dimensional control along the nanofiber length. These elongated plate-like particles will be linked one by one to form the nanofiber with a necklace-like morphology. The magnetic properties of the Sr0.8La0.2Zn0.2Fe11.8O19 nanofibers are closely related to grain sizes, impurities and defects in the ferrite, which are influenced by the calcination temperature, holding time and heating rate. After calcined at 900 °C for 12 h with a heating rate of 3 °C/min, the optimized magnetic properties are achieved with the specific saturation magnetization 75.0 A m2 kg−1 and coercivity 426.3 kA m−1 for the Sr0.8La0.2Zn0.2Fe11.8O19 nanofibers.  相似文献

Magnetic Co3O4 nanoparticles were prepared by using microporous regenerated cellulose films as sacrificial scaffolds. The cellulose macromolecules and the porous structure of the films made them used as spatially confined reacting sites where Co(OH)2 nanoparticles could be synthesized in situ. When the cellulose matrix was removed by sintering at 500 °C, Co3O4 nanoparticles were obtained. XRD and XPS indicated that the prepared nanoparticles were pure Co3O4 without any impurity. TEM and SEM images revealed that the particle size of the nanoparticles was smaller than 100 nm. The nanoparticles had weak ferromagnetic properties at 25 °C. Furthermore, the pronounced quantum confinement effects of the synthesized nanoparticles have been observed, the optical bandgap energies determined were about 1.92 ~ 2.12 and 2.74 ~ 2.76 eV for O2− → Co3+ and O2− → Co2+ charge-transfer processes, respectively. Furthermore, the resulted Co3O4 nanoparticles behaved stable electrochemical performance with promising applications in the electrode for lithium ion battery.  相似文献

TiO2–SiO2 composite nanoparticles were prepared by a sol–gel process. To obtain the assembly of TiO2–SiO2 composite nanoparticles, different molar ratios of Ti/Si were investigated. Polyurethane (PU)/(TiO2–SiO2) hybrid films were synthesized using the “grafting from” technique by incorporation of modified TiO2–SiO2 composite nanoparticles building blocks into PU matrix. Firstly, 3-aminopropyltriethysilane was employed to encapsulate TiO2–SiO2 composite nanoparticles’ surface. Secondly, the PU shell was tethered to the TiO2–SiO2 core surface via surface functionalized reaction. The particle size of TiO2–SiO2 composite sol was performed on dynamic light scattering, and the microstructure was characterized by X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared. Thermogravimetric analysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) employed to study the hybrid films. The average particle size of the TiO2–SiO2 composite particles is about 38 nm when the molar ratio of Ti/Si reaches to1:1. The TEM image indicates that TiO2–SiO2 composite nanoparticles are well dispersed in the PU matrix.  相似文献

Among the various positive electrode materials investigated for Li-ion batteries, spinel LiMn2O4 is one of the most important materials. Small particles of the active materials facilitate high-rate capability due to large surface to mass ratio and small diffusion path length. The present work involves the synthesis of submicron size particles of LiMn2O4 in a quaternary microemulsion medium. The precursor obtained from the reaction is heated at different temperatures in the range from 400 to 900 °C. The samples heated at 800 and 900 °C are found to possess pure spinel phase with particle size <200 nm, as evidenced from XRD, SEM, and TEM studies. The electrochemical characterization studies provide discharge capacity values of about 100 mAh g−1 at C/5 rate, and there is a moderate decrease in capacity by increasing the rate of charge–discharge cycling. Studies also include charge–discharge cycling and ac impedance studies in temperature range from −10 to 40 °C. Impedance data are analyzed with the help of an equivalent circuit and a nonlinear least squares fitting program. From temperature dependence of charge-transfer resistance, a value of 0.62 eV is obtained for the activation energy of Mn3+/Mn4+ redox process, which accompanies the intercalation/deintercalation of the Li+ ion in LiMn2O4.  相似文献

Magnetic nanoparticles were prepared by a wet chemical method. Precursors of MFe2O4 (M = Co, Mn, Zn) were prepared from a mixture of metal chloride and metasilicate nonahydrate aqueous solutions. The precipitates obtained in the wet chemical method were calcined to obtain MFe2O4 nanoparticles encapsulated by amorphous SiO2. The blocking temperatures T B’s were between 20 and 320 K, in this temperature range, the anisotropy energy of the particles decreased below their thermal energy. T B increased with the particle size. In order to clarify the nanoparticle formation process, differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric (TG-DTA) measurements were performed for the as-prepared samples.  相似文献

Macro-/mesoporous Al2O3 supports were prepared by using monodisperse polystyrene (PS) microspheres as a template. The pore volume and BET surface area of the Al2O3 supports increased considerably with increasing amounts of the PS microspheres; further investigation showed that PS template only increased the volume of macro-pores but did not change the volume of meso-pores or micro-pores. Macro-/mesoporous Re2O7/Al2O3 metathesis catalysts were prepared through loading Re2O7 onto the as-prepared macro-/mesoporous Al2O3 supports, and their catalytic performance was tested in a fixed-bed tubular reactor using the metathesis of normal butylenes as a probe reaction. The results showed that the prepared macro-/mesoporous Re2O7/Al2O3 catalyst had high activity with consistent selectivity; propylene and pentene accounted for more than 90 wt% of the metathesis products, while the amount of ethylene plus hexane was less than 10 wt%, the majority of which was hexane. These Re2O7/Al2O3 catalysts had not only higher activity, but also longer working life span and higher tolerance to carbon residues than conventional Re2O7/Al2O3 catalysts.  相似文献

Single-phase Ca3Al2O6 was prepared via polymeric precursor method. The influence of the reactants nature in the Ca3Al2O6 synthesis was investigated. For this purpose, citric acid and soluble salts of calcium (nitrate, chloride, carbonate) and aluminium (nitrate, chloride, acetate) were used as starting materials, in the presence and, respectively, in the absence of ethylene glycol. Ca3Al2O6 resulted as single-phase after annealing at 1050 °C for 1 h only starting from calcium nitrate or carbonate and aluminium nitrate or acetate as salts precursor for Ca2+ and Al3+ cations. The formation of Ca3Al2O6 is not conditioned by the ethylene glycol presence in these mixtures. Using calcium and aluminium chlorides, the phases present at 1050 °C are Ca12Al14O33 and unreacted CaO.  相似文献

Zn-doped LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 exhibits impressive electrochemical performance but suffers limited cycling stability due to the relative large size of irregular and bare particle which is prepared by conventional solid-state method usually requiring high calcination temperature and prolonged calcination time. Here, submicron LiNi0.8Co0.15Zn0.05O2 as cathode material for lithium-ion batteries is synthesized by a facile sol-gel method, which followed by coating Al2O3 layer of about 15 nm to enhance its electrochemistry performance. The as-prepared Al2O3-coated LiNi0.8Co0.15Zn0.05O2 cathode delivers a highly reversible capacity of 182 mA h g?1 and 94% capacity retention after 100 cycles at a current rate of 0.5 C, which is much superior to that of bare LiNi0.8Co0.15Zn0.05O2 cathode. The enhanced electrochemistry performance can be attributed to the Al2O3-coated protective layer, which prevents the direct contact between the LiNi0.8Co0.15Zn0.05O2 and electrolyte. The escalating trend of Li-ion diffusion coefficient estimated form electrochemical impedance spectroscopic (EIS) also indicate the enhanced structural stability of Al2O3-coated LiNi0.8Co0.15Zn0.05O2, which rationally illuminates the protection mechanism of the Al2O3-coated layer.  相似文献

Monodispersed and hydrophobic ZnO/Al2O3 composite nanoparticles are prepared by a nonhydrolytic sol–gel method. ZnCl2 and AlCl3 are dissolved in acetone and used as precursors. Oleic acid is adopted as an oxygen donor. The tribology properties of the prepared ZnO/Al2O3 composite nanoparticles are studied by the four-ball friction and thrust ring friction test. It is demonstrated that the average friction coefficient and the wear scar diameter are reduced by 37.5 and 26.2%, respectively, in comparison with pure lubricating oil. Moreover, the ZnO/Al2O3 composite nanoparticles bear the merits of ZnO and Al2O3 when used as lubricant additives, exhibiting both excellent antifriction and antiwear behaviors simultaneously. The ZnO/Al2O3 composite nanoparticles improve the lubrication effect not only by turning the sliding friction into rolling friction, but also forming a hard Al2O3 protective film onto the thrust-ring surface containing ZnO/Al2O3 nanoparticles, which have much potentiality in industrial applications.  相似文献

Trimetallic NiMoW/Al2O3 catalyst was prepared using mixed H4SiMo3W9O40 heteropoly acid of Keggin structure and nickel citrate. Bimetallic NiMo/Al2O3 and NiW/Al2O3 catalysts based on H4SiMo12O40 and H4SiW12O40, respectively, were synthesized as reference samples. The use of mixed H4SiMo3W9O40 heteropoly acid as an oxide precursor allows the tungsten sulfidation degree and the degree of promotion of active phase particles to be increased. The hydrodesulfurization activity is enhanced as compared to NiW/Al2O3 catalyst. The synergistic enhancement of the activity of the NiMo3W9/Al2O3 catalyst relative to the bimetallic analogs is probably caused by formation of new mixed promoted active sites for direct desulfurization.  相似文献

Thick film of nanocrystalline Co0.8Ni0.2Fe2O4 was obtained by sol–gel citrate method for gas sensing application. The synthesized powder was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy. The XRD pattern shows spinel type structure of Co0.8Ni0.2Fe2O4. XRD of Co0.8Ni0.2Fe2O4 revels formation of solid solution with average grain size of about 30 nm. From gas sensing properties it observed that nickel doping improves the sensor response and selectivity towards ammonia gas and very low response to LPG, CO, and H2S at 280 °C. Furthermore, incorporation of Pd improves the sensor response and stability of ammonia gas and reduced the operating temperature upto 210 °C. The sensor is a promising candidate for practical detector of ammonia.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to prepare novel magnetic Fe3O4/polyurethane foam (Fe3O4/PUF) composites applied to the carriers of immobilized microorganisms for toluene-containing wastewater treatment. The morphology and structure of Fe3O4/PUF composite were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy, and magnetic property measurement system. These morphological investigations revealed that Fe3O4 nano-particles were well dispersed into the matrix of PUF with nano-scale diameter particles. TG experiments indicated that the initial thermal weight loss temperatures of composite with the content of 2.5 wt% and 7.5% Fe3O4 were increased by 7 and 16 °C, compared with pure PUF. The degradation efficiency of toluene with magnetic PUF composite was much higher than that of pure PUF carrier, and the reason why the immobilization of microbial biomass of microorganisms on the magnetic PUF composite was much higher than that of the pure PUF. The prepared magnetic Fe3O4/PUF composite offered excellent thermal stability and medium paramagnetic properties. And this composite could not only increase the immobilized biomass of the microorganisms, but also enhance the COD removal efficiency of wastewater.  相似文献

In this work we report the performance of permeation barriers based on organic/inorganic multilayer stacks. We have used PMMA-SiO2 (poly methyl methacrylate-silica) hybrid films synthesized through a sol–gel route as organic–inorganic components, whereas Al2O3 thin films were used as the inorganic component. The hybrid layers were deposited by dip coating and the Al2O3 by atomic layer deposition (ALD), films were prepared on polyethylene naphthalene (PEN) substrates. The permeability of the films and stacks is evaluated using helium as the diffusion gas in a custom made ultra-high vacuum system. The results show that permeability for PEN is reduced from 5 × 10−3 g/m2-day to about 9 × 10−5 g/m2-day for the best multiple barrier evaluated. Increased barrier properties are due to the increasing in the path and hence the lag-time of the permeating gas. In particular, we report the surface roughness of the different layers and its impact on the barrier performance. The hybrid layers reduced notably the roughness of the bare PEN substrate improving the quality of the Al2O3 layer in the barrier. The optical transmittance of the barriers in the visible region is higher than 80% in all the studied cases.  相似文献
