The composite film of polypyrrole and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (PPy/F-MWNTs) was prepared by electropolymerization. MWNTs were functionalized by sonicating with a concentrated solution of H2SO4/HNO3 (3/1, volume ratio) in a water bath for different times. The carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are cut into smaller portions with more functional groups introduced on their surface when the sonicating time (nominated as functionalization time hereafter) is increased. However, the specific capacitance of the composite film reaches a maximum of 240 F g−1 at the scanning rate of 10 mV s−1 when MWNTs are functionalized for 24 h, which is about 205 F g−1, 225 F g−1 and 232 F g−1, respectively, when MWNTs are functionalized for 6 h, 12 h and 48 h. At a current load of 1.0 A g−1, PPy/F-MWNT composite film functionalized for 24 h (PPy/F-MWNTs (24 h)) retains 93.49% of its initial capacitance after 1,000 cycles of galvanostatic charge/discharge, and the discharge efficiency is higher than 98.15% during cycling. High specific capacitance, good rate performance, fast charge/discharge ability and long cycling life are ascribed to the synergistic effect of the two components to form a porous composite film as well as the easy accessibility of counter ions into the film. Therefore, PPy/F-MWNT (24 h) composite film is a kind of promising electrode material for supercapacitors. The mechanism of underfunctionalization and overfunctionalization of carbon nanotubes is also discussed.  相似文献

A facile hydrothermal strategy was first proposed to synthesize flower-like Co(OH)2 hierarchical microspheres. Further physical characterizations revealed that the flower-like Co(OH)2 microspherical superstructures were self-assembled by one-dimension nanobelts with rich mesopores. Electrochemical performance of the flower-like Co(OH)2 hierarchical superstructures were investigated by cyclic voltammgoram, galvanostatic charge–discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 3 M KOH aqueous electrolyte. Electrochemical data indicated that the flower-like Co(OH)2 superstructures delivered a specific capacitance of 434 F g−1 at 10 mA cm−2 (about 1.33 A g−1), and even kept it as high as 365 F g−1 at about 5.33 A g−1. Furthermore, the SC degradation of about 8% after 1,500 continuous charge–discharge cycles at 5.33 A g−1 demonstrates their good electrochemical stability at large current densities.  相似文献

Manganese oxide (MnOx) has been coated on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and fabricated as the electrodes for electrochemical capacitors (ECs) by cathodic electrodeposition. In the process, randomly oriented CNT arrays are grown directly onto the Ti/Si substrates by chemical vapor deposition method. Potentiostatic method has been utilized for cathodic electrodeposition of MnOx onto the surface of CNTs while immersed in KMnO4 solution. The highly porosity and fibrous microstructure of the as-prepared MnOx/CNT electrode is beneficial for the electrolyte access to the active material, whereas CNTs provide improved electronic conductivity. Electrochemical investigations show that the increase in the loading mass of MnOx results in a significant reduction in the specific capacitances (SCs) of the MnOx/CNT electrodes. The MnOx/CNT electrode with MnOx loading mass of 50 μg shows a high SC of 400 F g−1 with good long cycle stability at a current density of 10 A g−1, suggesting its potential application in ECs.  相似文献

The effect of polymer–salt addition in the activated carbon electrode for electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) has been investigated. A series of composite thin film electrode consisting of activated carbon, carbon black, polytetrafluoroethylene and polymer–salt complex (polyethyleneoxide–LiClO4) with an appropriate weight ratio were prepared and examined their performance for EDLCs using 1 mol L−1 LiClO4 in ethylene carbonate:diethylcarbonate electrolyte solution. The electrochemical capacitance performances of these electrodes with different compositions were characterized by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge cycling, and AC impedance measurements. By comparison, the best results were obtained with a composite electrode rich in polymer–salt additive (132 F g−1 at 100 mA g−1 of galvanostatic experiment). In general, the polymer–salt-containing electrode had shown improved performance over activated carbon electrodes without polymer–salt at high current density.  相似文献

LiFePO4/C composites were synthesized by pyrolysis of LiFePO4/polypyrrole (PPy), which was obtained by an in situ chemical polymerization involving pyrrole monomer and hydrothermal synthesis LiFePO4. All samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and galvanostatic charge–discharge techniques. The results showed the LiFePO4/C sintered at 800 °C containing 2.8 wt.% carbon exhibited a higher discharge capacity of 49.6 mAh·g−1 at 0.1 C, and bare LiFePO4 only delivered 11.6 mAh·g−1 in 2 M LiNO3 aqueous electrolyte. The possible reason for the improvement of electrochemical performance was discussed and could be attributed to the formation of aromatic compounds during the carbonization of PPy.  相似文献

Ru oxide/carbon fabric composites (Ru oxide/CF) were prepared by impregnating carbon fabric (CF) with a hydrous RuO2 suspension. Their properties were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and constant current discharging. Specific capacitance increased with increasing loading of Ru oxide. The apparent average specific capacitance of the Ru oxide component reached 1,085 F g−1 for a 9.15% loading, with a peak of 1,984 F g−1 at approximately 0.3 V vs Ag/AgCl. The presence of Ru oxide decreases the ionic resistance of the CF and appears to increase its specific capacitance by generating additional electroactive surface functionality.  相似文献

Mesoporous Mn–Ni oxides with the chemical compositions of Mn1-x Ni x O δ (x = 0, 0.2, and 0.4) were prepared by a solid-state reaction route, using manganese sulfate, nickel chloride, and potassium hydroxide as starting materials. The obtained Mn–Ni oxides, mainly consisting of the phases of α- and γ-MnO2, presented irregular mesoporous agglomerates built from ultra-fine particles. Specific surface area of Mn1–x Ni x O δ was 42.8, 59.6, and 84.5 m2 g−1 for x = 0, 0.2, and 0.4, respectively. Electrochemical properties were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge in 6 mol L−1 KOH electrolyte. Specific capacitances of Mn1-x Ni x O δ were 343, 528, and 411 F g−1 at a scan rate of 2 mV s−1 for x = 0, 0.2, and 0.4, respectively, and decreased to 157, 183, and 130 F g−1 with increasing scan rate to 100 mV s−1, respectively. After 500 cycles at a current density of 1.24 A g−1, the symmetrical Mn1–x Ni x O δ capacitors delivered specific capacitances of 160, 250, and 132 F g−1 for x = 0, 0.2, and 0.4, respectively, retaining about 82%, 89%, and 75% of their respective initial capacitances. The Mn0.8Ni0.2O δ material showed better supercapacitive performance, which was promising for supercapacitor applications.  相似文献

The copolymers were synthesized with different molar ratios of m-phenylenediamine to aniline (R for short) by a chemical oxidation method. The products were first used as electrochemical activity materials of the supercapacitor. Capacitive behaviors of the prepared copolymers in 1 mol·L−1 H2SO4 electrolyte were examined by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammeter, and galvanostatic charge/discharge. The relationship of molar ratios with capacitive property of the prepared products was investigated too. The results showed that the product with R of 2:98 displayed better electrochemical properties than that of the other products. Compared with the synthesized polymer in the absence of m-phenylenediamine, the polymerized copolymer with R of 2:98 exhibited the initial specific capacitance value of 475 F·g−1, which increased by nearly 10.1% than that of the former at a current density of 200 mA·g−1 in 1 mol·L−1 H2SO4 electrolyte in the potential range of −0.3 to 0.7 V. The discharge specific capacitance value of the copolymer remained 300 F·g−1 after 1,000 cycles, exhibiting a good cycling performance and the structure stability.  相似文献

Regular hexagonal Co–Al layered double hydroxides (Co–Al LDH) were synthesized by urea-induced homogeneous precipitation. This material proved to be nanosheets by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction measurements. The electrochemical capacitive behavior of the nanosheets in 1 M KOH solution were evaluated by constant current charge/discharge and cyclic voltammetric measurements, showing a large specific capacitance of 192 F·g−1 even at the high current density of 2 A·g−1. When multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were mixed with the Co–Al LDH, it was found that the specific capacitance and long-life performance of all composite electrodes at high current density are superior to pure LDH electrode. When the added MWNTs content is 10 wt%, the specific capacitance increases to 342.4 F·g−1 and remains at a value of 304 F·g−1 until the 400th cycle at 2 A·g−1, showing that this is a promising electrode material for supercapacitors working at heavy load. According to the electrochemical impedance spectra, MWNTs greatly increase the electronic conductivity between MWNTs and the surface of Co–Al LDH, which consequently facilitates the access of ions in the electrolyte and electrons to the electrode/electrolyte interface.  相似文献

The adsorption process of 3-chloro phenol from aqueous solution on a activated carbon prepared from African palm stone and which presents a specific surface area of 685 m2 g−1, a greater quantity of total acid groups and a pHPZC of 6.8 is studied. The adsorption isotherms are determined at pH values of 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. The adsorption isotherms are fitted to the Langmuir model and the values of the maximum quantity adsorbed that are between 96.2 and 46.4 mg g−1 are obtained along with the constant KL with values between 0.422 and 0.965 L mg−1. The maximum quantity adsorbed diminishes with the pH and the maximum value for this is a pH of 5. The immersion enthalpies of the activated carbon in a 3-chloro phenol solution of constant concentration, of 100 mg L−1, are determined for the different pH levels, with results between 37.6 and 21.2 J g−1. Immersion enthalpies of the activated carbon in function of 3-chloro phenol solution concentration are determined to pH 5, of maximum adsorption, with values between 28.3 and 38.4 J g−1, and by means of linearization, the maximum immersion enthalpy is calculated, with a value of 41.67 J g−1. With the results of the immersion enthalpy, maximum quantity adsorbed and the constant KL, establish relations that describe the adsorption process of 3-chloro phenol from aqueous solution on activated carbon.  相似文献

Monodisperse Li4Ti5O12 hollow spheres were prepared by using carbon spheres as templates. Scanning electron microscopy images show hollow spheres that have an average outer diameter of 1.0 μm and an average wall thickness of 60 nm. Compared with Li4Ti5O12 solids, the hollow spherical Li4Ti5O12 exhibit an excellent rate capability and capacity retention and can be charged/discharged at 10 C (1.7 A g−1) with a specific capacity of 100 mA h g−1, and after 200 charge and discharge cycles at 2 C, their specific capacity remain very stable at 150 mA h g−1. It is believed that the hollow structure has a relatively large contact surface between Li4Ti5O12 and liquid electrolyte, resulting in a better electrochemical performance at high charge/discharge rate.  相似文献

Nickel oxide (NiO) nanotubes for supercapacitors were synthesized by chemically depositing nickel hydroxide in anodic aluminum oxide templates and thermally annealing at 360 °C. The synthesized nanotubes have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The capacitive behavior of the NiO nanotubes was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge experiment, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 6 M KOH. The electrochemical data demonstrate that the NiO nanotubes display good capacitive behavior with a specific capacitance of 266 F g−1 at a current density of 0.1 A g−1 and excellent specific capacitance retention of ca. 93% after 1,000 continuous charge–discharge cycles, indicating that the NiO nanotubes can become promising electroactive materials for supercapacitor.  相似文献

The application of ammonium carbonate (AC) as catalyst for the preparation of RF-aerogels leads to organic aerogels without metallic impurities in contrast to conventional catalysts like sodium carbonate. To synthesize the AC catalyzed RF aerogels we varied the catalyst and formaldehyde concentration in wide ranges. The nanostructure varies accordingly over an order of magnitude. The particle sizes in the dry aerogel network, determined by scanning electron microscopy, are in the range of 0.15–4 μm. The aerogel densities are in the range of 370–420 kg m−3. The specific surface measured by nitrogen adsorption (BET) varies from 0.5 to 13 m2 g−1 which equals a specific surface area from 0.7 to 20 μm−1. Thermogravimetry is employed to study the drying process, annealing reactions and decomposition of the aerogel into a carbon aerogel.  相似文献

In this study, zirconium oxide (ZrO2) aerogel was synthesized via a green sol–gel approach, with zirconium oxychloride, instead of the commonly used alkoxide with high toxicity, as the precursor. With such material, phosphopeptides from the digests of 4 pmol of β-casein with the coexistence of 100 times (mol ratio) BSA could be selectively captured, and identified by MALDI-TOF MS. Due to the large surface area (416.0 m2 g−1) and the mesoporous structure (the average pore size of 10.2 nm) of ZrO2 aerogel, a 20-fold higher loading capacity for phosphopeptide, YKVPQLEIVPN[pS]AEER (MW 1952.12), was obtained compared to that of commercial ZrO2 microspheres (341.5 vs. 17.87 mg g−1). The metal oxide aerogel was further applied in the enrichment of phosphopeptides from 100 ng nonfat milk, and 17 phosphopeptides were positively identified, with a 1.5-fold improvement in phosphopeptide detection compared with previously reported results. These results demonstrate that ZrO2 aerogel can be a powerful enrichment material for phosphoproteome study.  相似文献

Polyaniline (PANI)/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) composite electrode material was prepared by in situ chemical polymerization. The structure and morphology of PANI/CNTs composite are characterized by Fourier infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, and transmission electron microscopy. It has been found that a flocculent PANI was uniformly deposited on the surface of CNTs. The supercapacitive behaviors of the PANI/CNTs composite materials are investigated with cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge, impedance, and cycle life measurements. The results show that the PANI/CNTs composite electrodes have higher specific capacitances than CNT electrodes and better stability than the conducting polymers. The capacitance of PANI/CNTs composite electrode is as high as 837.6 F g−1 measured by cyclic voltammetry at 1 mV s−1. Besides, the capacitance retention of coin supercapacitors remained 68.0% after 3,000 cycles.  相似文献

LiVPO4F/C composites with better electrochemical performance were prepared by calcination of LiF and amorphous vanadium phosphorus oxide (VPO) intermediate synthesized by a sol–gel method using H3PO4, V2O5 and citric acid as raw materials. The properties of LiVPO4F/C composites were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical tests. The analysis of XRD patterns and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) reveal that VPO intermediate prepared by sol–gel method is amorphous and VPO4 may exist in VPO intermediate. The compositions of LiVPO4F/C composites are related to the calcination temperature for preparation of amorphous VPO/C intermediate and LiVPO4F/C composite prepared by VPO/C synthesized at 700°C consists of a single crystal phase of LiVPO4F. The electrochemical tests show that LiVPO4F/C composite prepared by VPO/C synthesized at 700°C exhibits higher discharge capacity and excellent cycle performance. This LiVPO4F/C composite displays discharge capacity of 133 mAh g−1 at 0.5 C (78 mA g−1) and remains capacity retention of 96.8% after 30 cycles, even at a high rate of 5 C, the composite exhibits high discharge capacity of 115 mAh g−1 and capacity retention of 97% after 100 cycles.  相似文献

A new kind of polymer electrolyte is prepared from N-methyl-N-propylpiperidinium bis (trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (PP1.3TFSI), polyethylene oxide (PEO), and lithium bis (trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (LiTFSI). IR and X-ray diffraction results demonstrate that the addition of ionic liquid decreases the crystallization of PEO. Thermal and electrochemical properties have been tested for the solid polymer electrolytes, the addition of the room temperature molten salt PP1.3TFSI to the conventional P(EO)20LiTFSI polymer electrolyte leads to the improvement of the thermal stability and the ionic conductivity (x = 1.27, 2.06 × 10−4 S cm−1 at room temperature), and the reasonable lithium transference number is also obtained. The Li/LiFePO4 cell using this polymer electrolyte shows promising reversible capacity, 120 mAh g−1 at room temperature and 164 mAh g−1 at 55 °C.  相似文献

Composite electrodes were prepared from chemical vapor deposition grown carbon nanofibers consisting predominantly of ca. 100 nm diameter fibers. A hydrophobic sol–gel matrix based on a methyl-trimethoxysilane precursor was employed and composites formed with carbon nanofiber or carbon nanofiber—carbon particle mixtures (carbon ceramic electrode). Scanning electron microscopy images and electrochemical measurements show that the composite materials exhibit high surface area with some degree of electrolyte solution penetration into the electrode. These electrodes were modified with redox probe solution in 2-nitrophenyloctylether. A second type of composite electrode was prepared by simple pasting of carbon nanofibers and the same solution (carbon paste electrode). For both types of electrodes it is shown that high surface area carbon nanofibers dominate the electrode process and enhance voltammetric currents for the transfer of anions at liquid|liquid phase boundaries presumably by extending the triple-phase boundary. Both anion insertion and cation expulsion processes were observed driven by the electro-oxidation of decamethylferrocene within the organic phase. A stronger current response is observed for the more hydrophobic anions like ClO4 or PF6 when compared to that for the more hydrophilic anions like F and SO42−. Layers of cobalt and manganese oxides were co-deposited or deposited on top of each other or next to each other by potentiostatic method onto stainless steel substrate. Deposition potentials of 1 and −1 V for the anodic and cathodic depositions were employed. Specific capacitance values in the range of 38.5–78 F g−1 were found with cobalt oxide on top of manganese oxide having the lowest and manganese oxide on top of cobalt oxide having the highest capacitances. The usefulness of the electrodes was characterized by cyclic voltammetry, charge–discharge cycling, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 2 M NaOH electrolyte for redox supercapacitor applications. The latter presented the best charge/discharge behavior with no voltage drop due to lower ohmic resistance in prepared substrate; although the steadiest current observed in the course of voltammetry was due to the former. The evaluated double layer and specific capacitances for co-deposited sample according to the impedance studies were 1.75 and 47.5 F g−1, respectively, being in good agreement with voltammetric measurements.  相似文献

Solid composite polymer electrolytes consisting of polyethylene oxide (PEO), LiClO4, and porous inorganic–organic hybrid poly (cyclotriphosphazene-co-4, 4′-sulfonyldiphenol) (PZS) nanotubes were prepared using the solvent casting method. Differential scanning calorimetry and scanning electron microscopy were used to determine the characteristics of the composite polymer electrolytes. The ionic conductivity, lithium ion transference number, and electrochemical stability window can be enhanced after the addition of PZS nanotubes. The electrochemical impedance showed that the conductivity was improved significantly. Maximum ionic conductivity values of 1.5 × 10−5 S cm−1 at ambient temperature and 7.8 × 10−4 S cm−1 at 80 °C were obtained with 10 wt.% content of PZS nanotubes, and the lithium ion transference number was 0.35. The good electrochemical properties of the solid-state composite polymer electrolytes suggested that the porous inorganic–organic hybrid polyphosphazene nanotubes had a promising use as fillers in SPEs and the PEO10–LiClO4–PZS nanotube solid composite polymer electrolyte might be used as a candidate material for lithium polymer batteries.  相似文献
