Mechanochemical reaction of cluster coordination polymers 1infinity[M3Q7Br4] (M = Mo, W; Q = S, Se) with solid K2C2O4 leads to cluster core excision with the formation of anionic complexes [M3Q7(C2O4)3]2-. Extraction of the reaction mixture with water followed by crystallization gives crystalline K2[M3Q7(C2O4)3].0.5KBr.nH2O (M = Mo, Q = S, n = 3 (1); M = Mo, Q = Se, n = 4 (2); M = W, Q = S, n = 5 (3)). Cs2[Mo3S7(C2O4)3].0.5CsCl.3.5H2O (4) and (Et4N)1.5H0.5K{[Mo3S7(C2O4)3]Br}.2H2O (5) were also prepared. Close Q...Br contacts result in the formation of ionic triples {[M3Q7(C2O4)3](2)Br}5- in 1-4 and the 1:1 adduct {[Mo3S7(C2O4)3]Br}3- in 5. Treatment of 1 or 2 with PPh(3) leads to chalcogen abstraction with the formation of [Mo3(mu3-Q)(mu2-Q)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3]2-, isolated as (Ph4P)2[Mo3(mu3-S)(mu2-S)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3].11H2O (6) and (Ph4P2[Mo3(mu3-Se)(mu2-Se)3(C2O4)3(H2O)3].8.5H2O.0.5C2H5OH (7). All compounds were characterized by X-ray structure analysis. IR, Raman, electronic, and 77Se NMR spectra are also reported. Thermal decomposition of 1-3 was studied by thermogravimetry.  相似文献

The conversions of hexahydroxo rhenium cluster complexes [Re6Q8(OH)6]4- (Q=S, Se) in aqueous solutions in a wide pH range were investigated by chemical methods and spectroscopic measurements. Dependences of the spectroscopic and excited-state properties of the solutions on pH have been studied in detail. It has been found that a pH decrease of aqueous solutions of the potassium salts K4[Re6Q8(OH)6].8H2O (Q=S, Se) results in the formation of aquahydroxo and hexaaqua cluster complexes with the general formula [Re6Q8(H2O)n(OH)6-n]n-4 that could be considered as a result of the protonation of the terminal OH- ligands in the hexahydroxo complexes. The compounds K2[Re6S8(H2O)2(OH)4].2H2O (1), [Re6S8(H2O)4(OH)2].12H2O (2), [Re6S8(H2O)6][Re6S6Br8].10H2O (3), and [Re6Se8(H2O)4(OH)2] (4) have been isolated and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction and elemental analyses and infrared (IR) spectroscopy. In crystal structures of the aquahydroxo complexes, the cluster units are connected to each other by an extensive system of very strong hydrogen bonds between terminal ligands.  相似文献

Acetylplatinum(II) complexes trans-[Pt(COMe)Cl(L)2] (L = PPh3, 2a; P(4-FC6H4)3, 2b) were found to react with dialkyldisulfides R2S2 (R = Me, Et, Pr, Bu; Pr = n-propyl, Bu = n-butyl), yielding trinuclear 44 cve (cluster valence electrons) platinum clusters [(PtL)3(mu-SR)3]Cl (4). The analogous reaction of 2a-b with Ph2S2 gave SPh bridged dinuclear complexes trans-[{PtCl(L)}2(mu-SPh)2] (5), whereas the addition of Bn2S2 (Bn = benzyl) to 2a ended up in the formation of [{Pt(PPh3)}3(mu3-S)(mu-SBn)3]Cl (6). Theoretical studies based on the AIM theory revealed that type 4 complexes must be regarded as triangular platinum clusters with Pt-Pt bonds whereas complex 6 must be treated as a sulfur capped 48 ve (valence electrons) trinuclear platinum(II) complex without Pt-Pt bonding interactions. Phosphine ligands with a lower donor capability in clusters 4 proved to be subject to substitution by stronger donating monodentate phosphine ligands (L' = PMePh2, PMe2Ph, PBu3) yielding clusters [(PtL')3(mu-SR)3]Cl (9). In case of the reaction of clusters 4 and 9 with PPh2CH2PPh2 (dppm), a fragmentation reaction occurred, and the complexes [(PtL)2(mu-SMe)(mu-dppm)]Cl (12) and [Pt(mu-SMe)2(dppm)] (13) were isolated. Furthermore, oxidation reactions of cluster [{Pt(PPh3)}3(mu-SMe)3]Cl (4a) using halogens (Br2, I2) gave dimeric platinum(II) complexes cis-[{PtX(PPh3)}2(mu-SMe)2] (14, X = Br, I) whereas oxidation reactions using sulfur and selenium afforded chalcogen capped trinuclear 48 ve complexes [{Pt(PPh3)}3(mu3-E)(mu-SMe)3] (15, E = S, Se). All compounds were fully characterized by means of NMR and IR spectroscopy, microanalyses, and ESI mass spectrometry. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction analyses were performed for the triangular cluster 4a, the trinuclear complex 6, as well as for the dinuclear complexes trans-[{Pt(AsPh3)}2(mu-SPh)2] (5c), [{Pt(PPh3)}2(mu-SMe)(mu-dppm)]Cl (12a), and [{{PtBr(PPh3)}2(mu-SMe)2] (14a).  相似文献

A bis(disulfide)-bridged RuMo3S4 double-cubane cluster [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}(mu2-eta2:eta1-S2)]2[PF6]2 (2, Cp* = eta5-C5Me5) is readily available from cluster [(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4RuH2(PPh3)][PF6] (1) and S8. The reactions of cluster 2 with [M(PPh3)4] (M = Pd, Pt) give rise to the formation of a new family of nona- or decanuclear mixed-metal sulfide clusters, [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}2(mu3-S)2{Pd(S)(PPh3)}][PF6]2 (3), [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}2(mu3-S)2{(Pd(PPh3))2(mu2-S)}][PF6]2 (4), and [{(Cp*Mo)3(mu3-S)4Ru}2(mu3-S)2{Pt(PPh3)2}][PF6]2 (5), with two RuMo3S4 cubane units, the structures of which have been determined by X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

Reaction of [Pt(CH3)2(COD)] (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with Ph2PCCCCPPh2 led to a mixture of [{Pt(CH3)2}2(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)2] (1) and [{Pt(CH3)2}3(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)3] (2). Reaction of [PtCl2(COD)] with Ph2PCCCCPPh2 led to a mixture of the thermally unstable compounds [{PtCl2}2(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)2] (3) and [{PtCl2}3(mu-Ph2PC4PPh2)3] (4) which transform into [{PtMe2}2{mu-C8(PPh2)4}] (5) and [{PtMe2}3{mu3-C12(PPh2)6}] (6) containing 8-membered diene-diyne and 12-membered triene-triyne rings, respectively. Compound 2 can be converted to [{PtMe2}3{C12(PPh2)6}] (7) by heating with CuCl at 80 degrees C, while 1 can be heated without significant cycloaddition.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry was used for the analysis of functionalized rhenium clusters such as [Re6Se8(o-Me2TTFPPh2)6]2+ (1), {Re6Se8[(o-Me2TTF)2PPh]6}2+ (2) and [Re6Se8(MePPh2)6]2+ (3). The high-resolution mass spectra of the intact clusters, performed in dichloromethane, confirm the identification of the compounds by comparison with the theoretical isotopic distributions. Low-resolution full-scan mass spectra recorded at increasing desolvation cone voltage values allow the study of the intrinsic reactivity of ionic species. The survival yield curves illustrating the bimolecular reactivity of 1 and 2 suggest that a bisdimethyltetrathiafulvalene(phenyl)phosphine ligand increases the stability of the functionalized ML6(2+) cluster 2. In the case of the 3, instead of loss of a neutral ligand, ligand exchange is observed either with traces of water present in dichloromethane or with acetonitrile used as solvent.  相似文献

Copper(I) and rhenium(I) complexes [Cu(PPh(3))(2)(dppz-11-COOEt)]BF(4), [Cu(PPh(3))(2)(dppz-11-Br)]BF(4), [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz-11-COOEt)] and [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz-11-Br)] (dppz-11-COOEt = dipyrido-[3,2a:2',3'c]phenazine-11-carboxylic ethyl ester, dppz-11-Br = 11-bromo-dipyrido[3,2a:2',3'c]-phenazine) have been studied using Raman, resonance Raman, and transient resonance Raman (TR(2)) spectroscopy, in conjunction with computational chemistry. DFT (B3LYP) frequency calculations with a 6-31G(d) basis set for the ligands and copper(I) centers and an effective core potential (LANL2DZ) for rhenium in the rhenium(I) complexes show close agreement with the experimental nonresonance Raman spectra. Modes that are phenazine-based, phenanthroline-based, and delocalized across the entire ligand structure were identified. The nature of the absorbing chromophores at 356 nm for ligands and complexes was established using resonance Raman spectroscopy in concert with vibrational assignments from calculations. This analysis reveals that the dominant chromophore for the complexes measured at 356 nm is ligand-centered (LC), except for [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz-11-Br)], which appears to have additional chromophores at this wavelength. Calculations on the reduced complexes, undertaken to model the metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) excited state, show that the reducing electron occupies a ligand MO that is delocalized across the ligand structure. Resonance Raman spectra (lambda(exc) = 514.5 nm) of the reduced rhenium complexes show a similar spectral pattern to that observed in [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz)](*-); the measured bands are therefore attributed to ligand radical anion modes. These bands lie at 1583-1593 cm(-1) for [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz-11-COOEt)] and 1611 cm(-1) for [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz-11-Br)]. The thermally equilibrated excited states are examined using nanosecond-TR(2) spectroscopy (lambda(exc) = 354.7 nm). The TR(2) spectra of the ligands provide spectral signatures for the (3)LC state. A band at 1382 cm(-1) is identified as a marker for the (3)LC states of both ligands. TR(2) spectra of the copper and rhenium complexes of dppz-11-Br show this (3)LC band, but it is not prominent in the spectra of [Cu(PPh(3))(2)(dppz-11-COOEt)](+) and [Re(CO)(3)Cl(dppz-11-COOEt)]. Calculations suggest that the lowest triplet states of both of the rhenium(I) complexes and [Cu(PPh(3))(2)(dppz-11-Br)](+) are metal-to-ligand charge transfer in nature, but the lowest triplet state of [Cu(PPh(3))(2)(dppz-11-COOEt)](+) appears to be LC in character.  相似文献

[RuCl2(PPh3)3] reacts with thallium(I) fluoride to give either [Tl(mu-F)3Ru(PPh3)3] (1) or [Tl(mu3-F)(mu2-Cl)2Ru2(mu2-Cl)(mu2-F)(PPh3)4] (2) depending on the excess of TlF used. Both 1 and 2 were fully characterized, including X-ray structure determinations. Complex 1 reacts with dihydrogen to form the known ruthenium hydride complex [Ru(H)2(H2)(PPh3)3] upon hydrogenolysis of the Ru-F bond. The reaction of 1 with activated alkyl bromides (R-Br) gives the corresponding alkyl fluorides and the trinuclear complex [Tl(mu3-F)(mu2-F)(mu2-X)Ru2(mu2-Br)(mu2-F)(PPh3)4] (X=Br, F) (3), whose structure closely resembles that of 2. However, 1 is not active as catalyst for the nucleophilic fluorination of R-Br in the presence of thallium fluoride. The effect of the bridging coordination mode of fluoride on the Ru-F bond is discussed in terms of the HSAB principle, which suggests a more general model for predicting the stability of d6 and d8 complexes containing hard ligands (such as fluoro, oxo, and amido).  相似文献

The reactions of 1 or 2 equiv of N-methyl-o-diaminobenzene with trans-[ReOX(3)(PPh(3))(2)] (X = Cl, Br) in refluxing chloroform gave oxo-free rhenium complexes [Re(VI)X(4)(NC(6)H(4)NHCH(3))(OPPh(3))] (X = Cl, 3; X = Br, 6), [Re(V)X(2)Y(NC(6)H(4)NHCH(3))(PPh(3))(2)] (X, Y = Cl, 4; X = Br, Y = Cl, 7), [Re(IV)Cl(2)(NHC(6)H(4)NCH(3))(2)] (5), and [Re(IV)Br(3)(NHC(6)H(4)NCH(3))(PPh(3))] (8). All complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, (1)H NMR and IR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, EPR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography. The complexes all display distorted octahedral coordination geometry. For Re(IV) complexes 5 and 8, the ligands coordinate in the benzosemiquinone diimine form. In Re(VI) complexes 3 and 6 and the Re(V) complexes 4 and 7, the ligands coordinate in the dianionic monodentate imido form. The EPR spectra of Re(VI) species 3 and 6 in dichloromethane solution at room temperature exhibit the characteristic hyperfine pattern of six lines, with evidence of strong second-order effects. The IR spectra of the complexes are characterized by Re=N and Re-N stretching bands at ca. 1090 and 540 cm(-)(1), respectively. The Re(IV) and Re(V) complexes display well-resolved NMR spectra, while the Re(VI) complexes exhibit no observable spectra, due to paramagnetism. The cyclic voltammograms of complexes 3 and 6 display Re(VII)/ Re(VI) and Re(VI)/Re(V) processes, those of 4 and 7 exhibit Re(VI)/Re(V) and Re(V)/Re(IV) couples, and those of 5 and 8 are characterized by Re(V)/Re(IV) and Re(IV)/Re(III) processes.  相似文献

In all cases, predominant formation of the Z isomers was observed.  相似文献

Six new molecular octahedral cluster complexes with the general formulas trans-[{Re63-Q)8}(EPh3)4Br2] and fac-[{Re63-Q)73-Br)}(AsPh3)3Br3] (Q = S or Se and E = As or Sb) were synthesized by the reactions of the cesium salts of the [{Re63−S)8}Br6]4−, [{Re63-Se)8Br6]3−, and [{Re63-Q)73-Br)}Br6]3− anions with molten triphenylarsine (AsPh3) and triphenylantimony (SbPh3), respectively. The compositions and structures of the resulting complexes were established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and confirmed by elemental analysis and vibrational spectroscopy. The compositions and structures of the complexes depend on the composition of the cluster core in the starting salts. The luminescence spectra were recorded for powdered samples of all these compounds and the earlier described complexes trans-[{Re6Q8}(PPh3)4Br2] and fac-[{Re6Q7Br}(PPh3)3Br3]. The electronic, vibrational, and excited-state properties of hexanuclear rhenium(III) chalcogenide clusters based on the [Re(6)(mu(3)-Q)(8)](2+) (Q = S, Se) core have been investigated by spectroscopic and theoretical methods. Ultraviolet or visible excitation of [Re(6)Q(8)](2+) clusters produces luminescence with ranges in maxima of 12 500-15 100 cm(-)(1), emission quantum yields of 1-24%, and emission lifetimes of 2.6-22.4 microseconds. Nonradiative decay rate constants and the luminescence maxima follow the trend predicted by the energy gap law (EGL). Examination of 24 clusters in solution and 14 in the solid phase establish that exocluster ligands engender the observed EGL behavior; clusters with oxygen- or nitrogen-based apical ligands achieve maximal quantum yields and the longest lifetimes. The excited-state decay mechanism was investigated by applying nonradiative decay models to temperature-dependent emission experiments. Solid-state Raman spectra were recorded to identify vibrational contributions to excited-state deactivation; spectral assignments were enabled by normal coordinate analysis afforded from Hartree-Fock and DFT calculations. Excited-state decay is interpreted with a model where normal modes largely centered on the [Re(6)Q(8)](2+) core induce nonradiative relaxation. Hartree-Fock and DFT calculations of the electronic structure of the hexarhenium family of compounds support such a model. These experimental and theoretical studies of [Re(6)Q(8)](2+) luminescence provide a framework for elaborating a variety of luminescence-based applications of the largest series of isoelectronic clusters yet discovered.  相似文献

Hexanuclear chalcohalide clusters of rhenium(III) of general formula [Re(6)S(4+x)Cl(10-x)](x-) with x = 1-4 have been studied using quantum chemical DFT calculations. The optimized structures reproduce the geometrical features found from X-ray data for the members of the series. The relative stability of different stereoisomers for the mono- and dianions has been estimated. The analysis of the tetraanion series [Re(6)Q(8)X(6)](4-) with Q = S, Se and X = Cl, Br, I, and CN demonstrates the influence of the mu(1)- and mu( 3)-ligands on the strength of Re-apical ligand bond. It is shown that the tetragonal distortion found for the stable oxidized paramagnetic species [Re(6)S(8)Cl(6)]*(3-) results from the Jahn-Teller effect for a doubly degenerate electronic state.  相似文献

The reactivity of the tetranuclear metallated palladium compound (Pd[mu 2-(C6H4)PPh2]Br)4 (1) with different ligands has been investigated with the aim of evaluating the influence of the entering ligand on the nature of the reaction products. The results confirmed the ability of the ligand [(C6H4)PPh2]- to expand a bridging [mu 2-] or a chelating [eta 2-] coordination mode, depending on the auxiliary ligands present in the complex. Bulky phosphines stabilize mononuclear species of formula (Pd[eta 2-(C6H4)PPh2]Br[P]), with a four-atom metallocycle, while small phosphines give dinuclear compounds. The molecular structures of three different metalated palladium compounds have been determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography; the tetranuclear (Pd[mu 2-(C6H4)PPh2]Cl)4 (2), the dinuclear(Pd[mu 2-(C6H4)PPh2]Br[PMe3])2 (3), and the mononuclear (Pd[eta 2-(C6H4)PPh2]Br[PCBr]), (PCBr = P(o-BrC6H4)Ph2) (9) were obtained, the first one by halogen exchange reaction and the others by frame degradation of 1.  相似文献
