One of challenges existing in fiber‐based supercapacitors is how to achieve high energy density without compromising their rate stability. Owing to their unique physical, electronic, and electrochemical properties, two‐dimensional (2D) nanomaterials, e.g., molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and graphene, have attracted increasing research interest and been utilized as electrode materials in energy‐related applications. Herein, by incorporating MoS2 and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanosheets into a well‐aligned multi‐walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) sheet followed by twisting, MoS2‐rGO/MWCNT and rGO/MWCNT fibers are fabricated, which can be used as the anode and cathode, respectively, for solid‐state, flexible, asymmetric supercapacitors. This fiber‐based asymmetric supercapacitor can operate in a wide potential window of 1.4 V with high Coulombic efficiency, good rate and cycling stability, and improved energy density.  相似文献

The development of flexible electrodes is of considerable current interest because of the increasing demand for modern electronics, portable medical products, and compact devices. We report a new type of flexible electrochemical sensor fabricated by integrating graphene and MoS2 nanosheets. A highly flexible and free‐standing conductive MoS2 nanosheets/reduced graphene oxide (MoS2/rGO) paper was prepared by a two‐step process: vacuum filtration and chemical reduction treatment. The MoS2/graphene oxide (MoS2/GO) paper obtained by a simple filtration method was transformed into MoS2/rGO paper after a chemical reduction process. The obtained MoS2/rGO paper was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction spectroscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The electrochemical behavior of folic acid (FA) on MoS2/rGO paper electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and amperometry. Electrochemical experiments indicated that flexible MoS2/rGO composite paper electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the FA, which can be attributed to excellent electrical conductivity and high specific surface area of the MoS2/rGO paper. The resulting biosensor showed highly sensitive amperometric response to FA with a wide linear range.  相似文献

Owing to their graphene‐like structure and available oxidation valence states, transition metal sulfides are promising candidates for supercapacitors. Herein, we report the application of MoS3 as a new negative electrode for supercapacitors. MoS3 was fabricated by the facile thermal decomposition of a (NH4)2MoS4 precursor. For comparison, samples of MoS3&MoS2 and MoS2 were also synthesized by using the same method. Moreover, this is the first report of the application of MoS3 as a negative electrode for supercapacitors. MoS3 displayed a high specific capacitance of 455.6 F g?1 at a current density of 0.5 A g?1. The capacitance retention of the MoS3 electrode was 92 % after 1500 cycles, and even 71 % after 5000 cycles. In addition, an asymmetric supercapacitor assembly of MoS3 as the negative electrode demonstrated a high energy density at a high potential of 2.0 V in aqueous electrolyte. These notable results show that MoS3 has significant potential in energy‐storage devices.  相似文献

Symmetric supercapacitor devices were fabricated from MoS2 incorporated carbon allotropes such as activated carbon (AC)/MoS2, graphene/MoS2 and MWCNT/MoS2. The device performance was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The electrochemical properties of the devices fabricated from carbon allotropes (activated carbon, graphene, MWCNT) were remarkably enhanced to above 50% by the incorporation MoS2 phases. Out of the three fabricated devices, electrochemical performance of AC/MoS2 as found to be superior. The specific capacitance and energy density of this device is 216 F/g and 6.2 Wh/Kg respectively with excellent higher rate capability and longer cyclic durability. The devices fabricated from graphene/MoS2 and MWCNT/MoS2 has exhibited a specific capacitance value of 202 F/g and 161 F/g with an energy density value of 5.68 Wh/Kg and 3.95 Wh/Kg respectively.  相似文献

Flexible asymmetric supercapacitors are more appealing in flexible electronics because of high power density, wide cell voltage, and higher energy density than symmetric supercapacitors in aqueous electrolyte. In virtues of excellent conductivity, rich porous structure and interconnected honeycomb structure, three dimensional graphene aerogels show great potential as electrode in asymmetric supercapacitors. However, graphene aerogels are rarely used in flexible asymmetric supercapacitors because of easily re-stacking of graphene sheets, resulting in low electrochemical activity. Herein, flower-like hierarchical Mn3O4 and carbon nanohorns are incorporated into three dimensional graphene aerogels to restrain the stack of graphene sheets, and are applied as the positive and negative electrode for asymmetric supercapacitors devices, respectively. Besides, a strong chemical coupling between Mn3O4 and graphene via the C-O-Mn linkage is constructed and can provide a good electron-transport pathway during cycles. Consequently, the asymmetric supercapacitor device shows high rate cycle stability (87.8 % after 5000 cycles) and achieves a high energy density of 17.4 μWh cm−2 with power density of 14.1 mW cm−2 (156.7 mW cm−3) at 1.4 V.  相似文献

Fiber supercapacitors are promising energy storage devices for potential application in wearable and miniaturized portable electronics, which currently suffer from difficulties in achieving high capacitance and energy density synchronously owing to the limited specific surface area of the electrode materials and material incompatibility between the two electrodes. Herein, a strategy is developed for the manufacture of coaxial asymmetric fiber supercapacitors by wrapping a core of PVA-KOH gel electrolyte-coated Ni(OH)2@NiCo2O4/CNT fibers with MoS2@Fe2O3/CNT paper. The as-prepared coaxial fiber asymmetric supercapacitors exhibit a specific capacitance of 373 mF cm−2 (at a current density of 2 mA cm−2) and energy density of 0.13 mW h cm−2 (at a power density of 3.2 mW cm−2), and also show good rate capability, long cycle life, and excellent flexibility. This work provides the possibility for the practical application of fiber supercapacitors in wearable and portable energy storage equipment.  相似文献

Integrated nanodevices with the capability of storing energy are widely applicable and have thus been studied extensively. To meet the demand for flexible integrated devices, all‐solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitors that simultaneously realize energy storage and optoelectronic detection were fabricated by growing Co3O4 nanowires on nickel fibers, thus giving the positive electrode, and employing graphene as both the negative electrode and light‐sensitive material. The as‐assembled integrated systems were characterized by an improved energy storage, enhanced power density (at least by 1860 % enhanced) by improving the potential window from 0–0.6 V to 0—1.5 V, excellent photoresponse to white light, and superior flexibility of both the fiber‐based asymmetric supercapacitor and the photodetector. Such flexible integrated devices might be used in smart and self‐powered sensory, wearable, and portable electronics.  相似文献

Tremendous development in the field of portable electronics and hybrid electric vehicles has led to urgent and increasing demand in the field of high‐energy storage devices. In recent years, many research efforts have been made for the development of more efficient energy‐storage devices such as supercapacitors, batteries, and fuel cells. In particular, supercapacitors have great potential to meet the demands of both high energy density and power density in many advanced technologies. For the last half decade, graphene has attracted intense research interest for electrical double‐layer capacitor (EDLC) applications. The unique electronic, thermal, mechanical, and chemical characteristics of graphene, along with the intrinsic benefits of a carbon material, make it a promising candidate for supercapacitor applications. This Review focuses on recent research developments in graphene‐based supercapacitors, including doped graphene, activated graphene, graphene/metal oxide composites, graphene/polymer composites, and graphene‐based asymmetric supercapacitors. The challenges and prospects of graphene‐based supercapacitors are also discussed.  相似文献

Core‐shell carbon‐coated LiFePO4 nanoparticles were hybridized with reduced graphene (rGO) for high‐power lithium‐ion battery cathodes. Spontaneous aggregation of hydrophobic graphene in aqueous solutions during the formation of composite materials was precluded by employing hydrophilic graphene oxide (GO) as starting templates. The fabrication of true nanoscale carbon‐coated LiFePO4‐rGO (LFP/C‐rGO) hybrids were ascribed to three factors: 1) In‐situ polymerization of polypyrrole for constrained nanoparticle synthesis of LiFePO4, 2) enhanced dispersion of conducting 2D networks endowed by colloidal stability of GO, and 3) intimate contact between active materials and rGO. The importance of conducting template dispersion was demonstrated by contrasting LFP/C‐rGO hybrids with LFP/C‐rGO composites in which agglomerated rGO solution was used as the starting templates. The fabricated hybrid cathodes showed superior rate capability and cyclability with rates from 0.1 to 60 C. This study demonstrated the synergistic combination of nanosizing with efficient conducting templates to afford facile Li+ ion and electron transport for high power applications.  相似文献

A novel in situ N and low‐valence‐state Mo dual doping strategy was employed to significantly improve the conductivity, active‐site accessibility, and electrochemical stability of MoO3, drastically boosting its electrochemical properties. Consequently, our optimized N‐MoO3?x nanowires exhibited exceptional performances as a bifunctional anode material for both fiber‐shaped asymmetric supercapacitors (ASCs) and microbial fuel cells (MFCs). The flexible fiber‐shaped ASC and MFC device based on the N‐MoO3?x anode could deliver an unprecedentedly high energy density of 2.29 mWh cm?3 and a remarkable power density of 0.76 μW cm?1, respectively. Such a bifunctional fiber‐shaped N‐MoO3?x electrode opens the way to integrate the electricity generation and storage for self‐powered sources.  相似文献

The ionic conductivity and small size of the hydrogen ion make it an ideal charge carrier for hydrogen‐ion energy storage (HES); however, high‐voltage two‐electrode configurations are difficult to construct as the result of the lack of efficient cathodic energy storage. Herein, the high potential fast anionic redox at the cathode of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was applied by introducing redox additive electrolytes. By coupling the storing hydrogen ion in the Ti3C2Tx at the anode, a HES with a voltage of 1.8 V and a plateau voltage at 1.2 V was constructed. Compared with 2.2 Wh kg?1 for the low‐voltage Ti3C2Tx//Ti3C2Tx, the specific energy of asymmetric rGO//Ti3C2Tx reaches 34.4 Wh kg?1. Furthermore, it possesses an energy density of 23.7 Wh kg?1 at high power density of 22.5 kW kg?1. Thus, this study provides a novel guideline for constructing high‐voltage fast HES full cells.  相似文献

Mimicking the extracellular matrix to have a similar nanofibrous structure regarding electrical conductivity and mechanical properties would be highly beneficial for cardiac tissue engineering. The molybdenum disulfide, MoS2, and reduced graphene oxide, rGO, nanosheets are two‐dimensional nanomaterials which can be considered as great candidates for enhancing the electrical and mechanical properties of biological scaffolds for cardiac tissue engineering applications. In this study, MoS2 and rGO nanosheets were synthesized and incorporated into silk fibroin nanofibers, SF, via electrospinning method. Then, the human iPSCs transfected with TBX‐18 gene, TBX18‐hiPSCs, were seeded on these scaffolds for in vitro studies. The MoS2 and rGO nanosheets were studied by Raman spectroscopy. After incorporation of the nanosheets into SF nanofibers, the associated characterizations were carried out including scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, water contact angle, and mechanical test. Furthermore, SF, SF/MoS2, and SF/rGO scaffolds were used for in vitro studies. Herein, the scaffolds exhibited acceptable biocompatibility and considerable attachment to TBX18‐hiPSCs confirmed by 3‐(4, 5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2, 5‐diphenyl tetrazolium bromide, MTT, assay, and scanning electron microscopy. Also, the real‐time PCR and immunostaining studies confirmed the maturity and upregulation of cardiac functional genes, including GATA‐4, c‐TnT, and α‐MHC in the SF/MoS2 and SF/rGO scaffolds compared with the bare SF one. Therefore, the reinforcement of these SF‐based scaffolds with MoS2 and rGO endues them as a suitable candidate for cardiac tissue engineering.  相似文献

Highly dispersed Ni nanoparticles (NPs) and abundant functional N‐species were integrated into ultrathin carbon nanosheets by using a facile and economical sol–gel route. Embedded‐ and anchored‐type configurations were achieved for the dispersion of Ni NPs in/on N‐rich carbon nanosheets. The anchored‐type composite exhibited outstanding pseudocapacitance of 2200 F g?1 at 5 A g?1 with unusual rate capability and extraordinary cyclic stability over 20 000 cycles with little capacitance decay. Aqueous asymmetric supercapacitors fabricated with this composite cathode demonstrated a high energy density of 51.3 Wh kg?1 at a relatively large power density of 421.6 W kg?1, along with outstanding cyclic stability. This approach opens an attractive direction for enhancing the electrochemical performances of metal‐based supercapacitors and can be generalized to design high‐performance energy‐storage devices.  相似文献

In this work, β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets are explored as efficient pseudocapacitive materials for the fabrication of 1.6 V class high‐energy supercapacitors in asymmetric fashion. The as‐synthesized β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets displayed an excellent electrochemical performance owing to their unique structure, morphology, and reversible reaction kinetics (fast faradic reaction) in both the three‐electrode and asymmetric configuration (with activated carbon, AC). For example, in the three‐electrode set‐up, β‐Co(OH)2 exhibits a high specific capacitance of ∼675 F g−1 at a scan rate of 1 mV s−1. In the asymmetric supercapacitor, the β‐Co(OH)2∥AC cell delivers a maximum energy density of 37.3 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 800 W kg−1. Even at harsh conditions (8 kW kg−1), an energy density of 15.64 Wh kg−1 is registered for the β‐Co(OH)2∥AC assembly. Such an impressive performance of β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets in the asymmetric configuration reveals the emergence of pseudocapacitive electrodes towards the fabrication of high‐energy electrochemical charge storage systems.  相似文献

Phosphorus‐modified tungsten nitride/reduced graphene oxide (P‐WN/rGO) is designed as a high‐efficient, low‐cost electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). WN (ca. 3 nm in size) on rGO is first synthesized by using the H3[PO4(W3O9)4] cluster as a W source. Followed by phosphorization, the particle size increase slightly to about 4 nm with a P content of 2.52 at %. The interaction of P with rGO and WN results in an obvious increase of work function, being close to Pt metal. The P‐WN/rGO exhibits low onset overpotential of 46 mV, Tafel slope of 54 mV dec?1, and a large exchange current density of 0.35 mA cm?2 in acid media. It requires overpotential of only 85 mV at current density of 10 mA cm?2, while remaining good stability in accelerated durability testing. This work shows that the modification with a second anion is powerful way to design new catalysts for HER.  相似文献

With a notable advantage in terms of capacity, molybdenum disulfide has been considered a promising anode material for building high‐energy‐density lithium‐ion batteries. However, its intrinsically low electronic conductivity and unstable electrochemistry lead to poor cycling stability and inferior rate performance. We herein describe the scalable assembly of free‐standing MoS2–graphene composite films consisting of nitrogen‐doped graphene and ultrathin honeycomb‐like MoS2 nanosheets. The composite has a unique film–foam–film hierarchical top‐down architecture from the macroscopic to the microscopic and the nanoscopic scale, which helps rendering the composite material highly compact and leads to rapid ionic/electronic access to the active material, while also accommodating the volume variation of the sulfide upon intercalation/deintercalation of Li. The unique structural merits of the composite lead to enhanced lithium storage.  相似文献

Bimetallic NiCo functional graphene (NiCo/rGO) was synthesized by a facile one‐pot method. During the coreduction process, the as‐synthesized ultrafine NiCo nanoparticles (NPs), with a typical size of 4–6 nm, were uniformly anchored onto the surface of reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The NiCo bimetal‐supported graphene was found to be more efficient than their single metals. Synergetic catalysis of NiCo NPs and rGO was confirmed, which can significantly improve the hydrogen‐storage properties of MgH2. The apparent activation energy (Ea) of the MgH2? NiCo/rGO sample decreases to 105 kJ mol?1, which is 40.7 % lower than that of pure MgH2. More importantly, the as‐prepared MgH2? NiCo/rGO sample can absorb 5.5 and 6.1 wt % hydrogen within 100 and 350 s, respectively, at 300 °C under 0.9 MPa H2 pressure. Further cyclic kinetics investigation indicates that MgH2? NiCo/rGO nanocomposites have excellent cycle stability.  相似文献

Much attention has recently been focused on the synthesis and application of graphene analogues of layered nanomaterials owing to their better electrochemical performance than the bulk counterparts. We synthesized graphene analogue of 3D MoS2 hierarchical nanoarchitectures through a facile hydrothermal route. The graphene‐like MoS2 nanosheets are uniformly dispersed in an amorphous carbon matrix produced in situ by hydrothermal carbonization. The interlaminar distance between the MoS2 nanosheets is about 1.38 nm, which is far larger than that of bulk MoS2 (0.62 nm). Such a layered architecture is especially beneficial for the intercalation and deintercalation of Li+. When tested as a lithium‐storage anode material, the graphene‐like MoS2 hierarchical nanoarchitectures exhibit high specific capacity, superior rate capability, and enhanced cycling performance. This material shows a high reversible capacity of 813.5 mAh g?1 at a current density of 1000 mA g?1 after 100 cycles and a specific capacity as high as 600 mAh g?1 could be retained even at a current density of 4000 mA g?1. The results further demonstrate that constructing 3D graphene‐like hierarchical nanoarchitectures can effectively improve the electrochemical performance of electrode materials.  相似文献

Aqueous supercapacitors based on neutral solutions have the advantages of high-ionic conductivity, being environmentally friendly, safe, and low cost. However, the operating potential window for most aqueous electrolytes is far lower than that of organic electrolytes that are commonly used in commercial supercapacitors. In this work, we report on the fabrication of a wide potential window, high-energy aqueous asymmetric supercapacitor, without sacrificing power, by using a nanostructured LiMn2O4/reduced graphene oxide (LMO–rGO) nanocomposite. We synthesized the uniformly distributed LMO in the LMO–rGO nanocomposite using a co-precipitation route followed by a low-temperature hydrothermal treatment. In a three-electrode cell setup, the specific capacitance of the LMO–rGO nanocomposite electrode at 1 A/g (1.2 mA/cm2) is 268.75 F/g (258 mF/cm2), which shows a dramatic improvement over the sum of the specific capacitances of pristine LMO (162.5 F/g) and pure rGO (29.94 F/g) electrodes in their relative ratios, when used alone. This finding suggests a synergistic coupling of LMO and rGO in the nanocomposite. We also assembled the LMO–rGO nanocomposite, as the positive electrode, with activated carbon, as the negative electrode, into an asymmetric cell configuration. The device shows an ultra-wide potential window of 2.0 V in a neutral aqueous Li2SO4 electrolyte, with a maximum energy density of 29.6 Wh/kg (which approaches the commercial lead-acid batteries), power density of up to 7408 W/kg, and an excellent cycle life (5% loss after 6000 cycles). These findings confirm that an LMO–rGO nanocomposite is a promising material to meet the demands of real world energy storage.  相似文献
