In this paper, we get the existence of periodic and homoclinic solutions for a class of asymptotically linear or sublinear Hamiltonian systems with impulsive conditions via variational methods. However, without impulses, there is no homoclinic or periodic solution for the system considered in this paper. Moreover, our results can be used to study the existence of periodic and homoclinic solutions of difference equations.  相似文献

The problem of homoclinic bifurcation is studied for a high dimensional system with nonhyperbolic equilibria. By constructing local coordinate systems near the unperturbed homoclinic orbit, Poincaré maps for the new system are established. Then the persistence of the homoclinic orbit and the bifurcation of the periodic orbit for the system accompanied with pitchfork bifurcation are obtained. Some known results are extended.  相似文献

A useful tool for studying nonlinear differential equations is index theory. For symplectic paths on bounded intervals, the index theory has been completely established, which revealed tremendous applications in the study of periodic orbits of Hamiltonian systems. Nevertheless, analogous questions concerning homoclinic orbits are still left open. In this paper we use a geometric approach to set up Maslov index for homoclinic orbits of Hamiltonian systems. On the other hand, a relative Morse index for homoclinic orbits will be derived through Fredholm index theory. It will be shown that these two indices coincide.  相似文献

We study the chaotic behaviour of a time dependent perturbation of a discontinuous differential equation whose unperturbed part has a sliding homoclinic orbit that is a solution homoclinic to a hyperbolic fixed point with a part belonging to a discontinuity surface. We assume the time dependent perturbation satisfies a kind of recurrence condition which is satisfied by almost periodic perturbations. Following a functional analytic approach we construct a Melnikov-like function M(α) in such a way that if M(α) has a simple zero at some point, then the system has solutions that behave chaotically. Applications of this result to quasi-periodic systems are also given.  相似文献

In this paper we study the chaotic behavior of a planar ordinary differential system with a heteroclinic loop driven by a Brownian motion, an unbounded random forcing. Unlike the case of homoclinic loops, two random Melnikov functions are needed in order to investigate the intersection of stable segments of one saddle and unstable segments of the other saddle. We prove that for almost all paths of the Brownian motion the forced system admits a topological horseshoe of infinitely many branches. We apply this result to the Josephson junction and the soft spring Duffing oscillator.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the chaotic behavior of ordinary differential equations with a homoclinic orbit to a saddle fixed point under an unbounded random forcing driven by a Brownian motion. We prove that, for almost all sample paths of the Brownian motion in the classical Wiener space, the forced equation admits a topological horseshoe of infinitely many branches. This result is then applied to the randomly forced Duffing equation and the pendulum equation.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a class of higher dimensional differential systems in RnRn which have a two dimensional center manifold at the origin with a pair of pure imaginary eigenvalues. First we characterize the existence of either analytic or CC inverse Jacobian multipliers of the systems around the origin, which is either a center or a focus on the center manifold. Later we study the cyclicity of the system at the origin through Hopf bifurcation by using the vanishing multiplicity of the inverse Jacobian multiplier.  相似文献

In this work, bifurcations in the class that the homoclinic orbit connects the strong stable and strong unstable manifolds of a saddle are investigated for four-dimensional vector fields. The existence, numbers, coexistence and incoexistence of 1-homoclinic orbit, 1-periodic orbit, 2n2n-homoclinic orbit and 2n2n-periodic orbit are obtained, the approximate expressions of the corresponding bifurcation surfaces and the bifurcation diagrams are also presented.  相似文献

Differential equations that are equivariant under the action of a finite group can possess robust homoclinic cycles that can moreover be asymptotically stable. For differential equations in R4 there exists a classification of different robust homoclinic cycles for which moreover eigenvalue conditions for asymptotic stability are known. We study resonance bifurcations that destroy the asymptotic stability of robust ‘simple homoclinic cycles’ in four-dimensional differential equations. We establish that typically a periodic trajectory near the cycle is created, asymptotically stable in the supercritical case.  相似文献

The Bogdanov–Takens system has at most one limit cycle and, in the parameter space, it exists between a Hopf and a saddle-loop bifurcation curves. The aim of this paper is to prove the Perko?s conjectures about some analytic properties of the saddle-loop bifurcation curve. Classical Liénard equations are two-dimensional vector fields, on the phase plane or on the Liénard plane, related to scalar differential equations . In this paper, we consider f to be a polynomial of degree 2l−1, with l a fixed but arbitrary natural number. The related Liénard equation is of degree 2l. We prove that the number of limit cycles of such an equation is uniformly bounded, if we restrict f to some compact set of polynomials of degree exactly 2l−1. The main problem consists in studying the large amplitude limit cycles, of which we show that there are at most l.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the study of the number of critical periods of perturbed isochronous centers. More concretely, if X0 is a vector field having an isochronous center of period T0 at the point p and X? is an analytic perturbation of X0 such that the point p is a center for X? then, for a suitable parameterization ξ of the periodic orbits surrounding p, their periods can be written as T(ξ,?)=T0+T1(ξ)?+T2(ξ)?2+?. Firstly we give formulas for the first functions Tl(ξ) that can be used for quite general vector fields. Afterwards we apply them to study how many critical periods appear when we perturb the rigid quadratic isochronous center , inside the class of centers of the quadratic systems or of polynomial vector fields of a fixed degree.  相似文献

Abstract

This paper is concerned with almost periodic solutions for nonlinear non-instantaneous impulsive differential equations with variable structure. With the help of the notation of non-instantaneous impulsive Cauchy matrix, mild sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the existence, uniqueness of asymptotically stable almost periodic solutions. Both example and numerical simulation are given to illustrate our effectiveness of the above results. As one expects, the results presented here have extended and improved some previous results for instantaneous impulsive differential equations.  相似文献
