Consider the Neumann problem for quasilinear elliptic equations of second order in two–dimensional domains with corners. The quasilinear differential operator is of divergence form. The corner angles αi satisfy 0 < αi < π. It is shown that there exists an asymptotic expansion of the solution near a corner.  相似文献

This paper focuses on boundary value problems for anisotropic differential-operator equations of high order with variable coefficients in the half plane. Several conditions are obtained which guarantee the maximal regularity of anisotropic elliptic and parabolic problems in Banach-valued L p -spaces. Especially, it is shown that this differential operator is R-positive and is a generator of an analytic semigroup. These results are also applied to infinite systems of anisotropic type partial differential equations in the half plane.  相似文献

The generalized solution of ill-posed boundary problem   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper, we define a kind of new Sobolev spaces, the relative Sobolev spaces Wk,p0(Ω,∑). Then an elliptic partial differential equation of the second order with an ill-posed boundary is discussed. By utilizing the ideal of the generalized inverse of an operator, we introduce the generalized solution of the ill-posed boundary problem. Eventually, the connection between the generalized inverse and the generalized solution is studied. In this way, the non-instability of the minimal normal least square solution of the ill-posed boundary problem is avoided.  相似文献

In a UMD Banach space E, we consider a boundary value problem for a second order elliptic differential-operator equation with a spectral parameter when one of the boundary conditions, in the principal part, contains a linear unbounded operator in E. A theorem on an isomorphism is proved and an appropriate estimate of the solution with respect to the space variable and the spectral parameter is obtained. In this way, Fredholm property of the problem is shown. Moreover, discreteness of the spectrum and completeness of a system of root functions corresponding to the homogeneous problem are established. Finally, applications of obtained abstract results to nonlocal boundary value problems for elliptic differential equations with a parameter in non-smooth domains are given.  相似文献

The Lp-coercive properties of a nonlocal fractional elliptic equation is studied. Particularly, it is proved that the fractional elliptic operator generated by this equation is sectorial in Lp space and also is a generator of an analytic semigroup. Moreover, by using the Lp-separability properties of the given elliptic operator the maximal regularity of the corresponding nonlocal fractional parabolic equation is established.  相似文献

This study focuses on nonlocal boundary value problems (BVPs) for linear and nonlinear elliptic differential-operator equations (DOEs) that are defined in Banach-valued function spaces. The considered domain is a region with varying bound and depends on a certain parameter. Some conditions that guarantee the maximal Lp -regularity and Fredholmness of linear BVPs, uniformly with respect to this parameter, are presented. This fact implies that the appropriate differential operator is a generator of an analytic semigroup. Then, by using these results, the existence, uniqueness and maximal smoothness of solutions of nonlocal BVPs for nonlinear DOEs are shown. These results are applied to nonlocal BVPs for regular elliptic partial differential equations, finite and infinite systems of differential equations on cylindrical domains, in order to obtain the algebraic conditions that guarantee the same properties.  相似文献

The choice of a differential diffusion operator with discontinuous coefficients that corresponds to a finite flow velocity and a finite concentration is substantiated. For the equation with a uniformly elliptic operator and a nonzero diffusion coefficient, conditions are established for the existence and uniqueness of a solution to the corresponding Cauchy problem. For the diffusion equation with degeneration on a half-line, it is proved that the Cauchy problem with an arbitrary initial condition has a unique solution if and only if there is no flux from the degeneration domain to the ellipticity domain of the operator. Under this condition, a sequence of solutions to regularized problems is proved to converge uniformly to the solution of the degenerate problem in L 1(R) on each interval.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the following conjecture raised by Baum and Douglas: For any first order elliptic differential operator D on a smooth manifold M with boundary ?M D possesses a (local) elliptic boundary condition if and only if ?[D]=0 in K1(?M), where [D] is the relative K-cycle in Ko(M,?M) corresponding to D. We prove the “if” part of this conjecture for dim(M)≠4,5,6,7 and the “only if” part of the conjecture for arbitrary dimension.  相似文献

Mixed elliptic problems for differential operators A in a domain Ω with smooth boundary Y are studied in theform $$ Au = f \;\; {\rm in} \;\; {\rm \Omega} \, , \quad T_{\pm}u = g_{\pm} \;\; {\rm on} \;\; Y_{\pm} \, , $$ where Y± ? Y are manifolds with a common boundary Z, such that YY+ = Y and YY+ = Z, with boundary conditions T± on Y± (with smooth coefficients up to Z from the respective side) satisfying the Shapiro–Lopatinskij condition. We consider such problems in standard Sobolev spaces and characterise natural extra conditions on the interface Z with an analogue of Shapiro–Lopatinskij ellipticity for an associated transmission problem on the boundary; then the extended operator is Fredholm. The transmission operators on the boundary with respect to Z belong to a complete pseudo‐differential calculus, a modification of the algebra of boundary value problems without the transmission property. We construct parametrices of elliptic elements in that calculus, and we obtain parametrices of the original mixed problems under additional conditions on the interface. We consider the Zaremba problem and other mixed problems for the Laplace operator, determine the number of extra conditions and calculate the index of associated Fredholm operators. In this paper we examine a nonlinear elliptic problem driven by the p-Laplacian differential operator and with a potential function which is only locally Lipschitz, not necessarily C1 (hemivariational inequality). Using the nonsmooth critical point theory of Chang, we obtain two strictly positive solutions. One solution is obtained by minimization of a suitable modification of the energy functional. The second solution is obtained by generalizing a result of Brezis-Nirenberg about the local C10-minimizers versus the local H10-minimizers of a C1-functional. We will present LiScM2, a MATLAB package for numerical solutions of some partial differential evolution equations of the form ut + Lu = N (u, ∇u), with boundary and initial conditions, where L is a 2D linear elliptic operator (Laplace operator for this version) and N is a nonlinear part. Elliptic systems with polynomial nonlinearity usually possess multiple solutions. In order to find multiple solutions, such elliptic systems are discretized by eigenfunction expansion method (EEM). Error analysis of the discretization is presented, which is different from the error analysis of EEM for scalar elliptic equations in three aspects: first, the choice of framework for the nonlinear operator and the corresponding isomorphism of the linearized operator; second, the definition of an auxiliary problem in deriving the relation between the L2 norm and H1 norm of the Ritz projection error; third, the bilinearity/nonbilinearity of the linearized variational forms. The symmetric homotopy for the discretized equations preserves not only D4 symmetry, but also structural symmetry. With the symmetric homotopy, a filter strategy and a finite element Newton refinement, multiple solutions to a system of semilinear elliptic equations arising from Bose–Einstein condensate are found.  相似文献

The Bitsadze–Samarskii type nonlocal boundary value problem for the differential equation in a Hilbert space H with the self‐adjoint positive definite operator A with a closed domain D(A) ? H is considered. Here, f(t) be a given abstract continuous function defined on [0,1] with values in H, φ and ψ be the elements of D(A), and λj are the numbers from the set [0,1]. The well‐posedness of the problem in Hölder spaces with a weight is established. The coercivity inequalities for the solution of the nonlocal boundary value problem for elliptic equations are obtained. The fourth order of accuracy difference scheme for approximate solution of the problem is presented. The well‐posedness of this difference scheme in difference analogue of Hölder spaces is established. For applications, the stability, the almost coercivity, and the coercivity estimates for the solutions of difference schemes for elliptic equations are obtained. It is proved that the differential operatorD 1 +ix 1 D 2 2 is hypoelliptic everywhere, but is not locally solvable in any open set which intersects the linex 1=0. Thus, this operator is not contained in the usual classes of hypoelliptic differential operators. The proofs involve certain properties of the characteristic Cauchy problem for the backward heat operator.  相似文献

We consider nonlinear elliptic equations driven by the p-Laplacian differential operator. Using degree theoretic arguments based on the degree map for operators of type (S)+ , we prove theorems on the existence of multiple nontrivial solutions of constant sign.  相似文献

We consider a boundary-value problem for the second-order elliptic differential operator with rapidly oscillating coefficients in a domain Ω ε that is ε-periodically perforated by small holes. The holes are split into two ε-periodic sets depending on the boundary interaction via their boundary surfaces. Therefore, two different nonlinear boundary conditions σ ε (u ε ) + εκ m (u ε ) = εg ε (m) , m = 1, 2, are given on the corresponding boundaries of the small holes. The asymptotic analysis of this problem is performed as ε → 0, namely, the convergence theorem for both the solution and the energy integral is proved without using an extension operator, asymptotic approximations for the solution and the energy integral are constructed, and the corresponding approximation error estimates are obtained.  相似文献

Consider the Dirichlet problem −vΔu+k∂ 1 u = f withv, k>0 in ℝ3 or in an exterior domain of ℝ3 where the skew-symmetric differential operator −1=∂/∂x1 is a singular perturbation of the Laplacian. Because of the inhomogeneity of the fundamental solution we study existence, uniqueness and regularity in Sobolev spaces with anisotropic weights. In these spaces the operator ∂1 yields an additional positive definite term giving better results than in Sobolev spaces with radial weights. The elliptic equation −vΔu +k1 u=f can be taken as a model problem for the Oseen equations, a linearized form of the Navier-Stokes equations. A generalized variant of the Calderón problem from electrical impedance tomography with partial data for anisotropic Lipschitz conductivities is considered in an arbitrary space dimension n ≥ 2. The following two results are shown: (i) The selfadjoint Dirichlet operator associated with an elliptic differential expression on a bounded Lipschitz domain is determined uniquely up to unitary equivalence by the knowledge of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map on an open subset of the boundary, and (ii) the Dirichlet operator can be reconstructed from the residuals of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map on this subset.  相似文献

We study a regular elliptic boundary-value problem for a homogeneous differential equation in a bounded domain. We prove that the operator of this problem is a Fredholm (Noether) operator in a two-sided improved scale of functional Hilbert spaces. The elements of this scale are Hörmander-Volevich-Paneyakh isotropic spaces. We establish an a priori estimate for a solution and investigate its regularity.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the mixed problem for the equation u tt  + A 1 uA 2(u t ) + g(u t ) = f(x, t) in unbounded domain, where A 1 is a linear elliptic operator of the fourth order and A 2 is a nonlinear elliptic operator of the second order. Under natural assumptions on the equation coefficients and f we proof existence of a solution. This result contains, as a special case, some of known before theorems of existence. Essentially, in difference up to previous results we prove theorems of existence without the additional assumption on behavior of solution at infinity.   相似文献
