Self‐assembly of poly(2‐vinylpyridine)‐block‐poly(ϵ‐caprolactone) (P2VP‐b‐PCL) diblock copolymer in the presence of a selective solvent is investigated by transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Addition of water into a P2VP‐b‐PCL solution in N,N‐dimethylformamide at 20 °C produces elongated truncated lozenge shaped single crystals of uniform size and shape in large quantities. The single crystals are composed of PCL single‐crystal layer sandwiched between two P2VP layers tethered on the top and bottom basal surfaces. The formation of the single crystals is found to depend on the temperature. These findings provide a facile approach to the preparation of uniform single crystals in large quantities.

PVA/SWNT dispersions yield aloe plant‐like crystals, where the leaves are single crystals templated by PVA coated SWNT. Longer growth times (≈18 months) lead to hexagonal rod‐like crystals. HR‐TEM images show evidence that PVA molecules are aligned parallel to the SWNT axis. WAXD, electron diffraction, and HR‐TEM observations of these aloe plant and hexagonal crystals suggests evidence for possible PVA‐SWNT epitaxy. Wide‐angle and electron diffraction data of these crystals also show that the structure seems to mimic the 2D hexagonal crystal packing of SWNT. PVA lattice images and moiré fringes were also observed in the leaf‐like crystals.

By using the node‐and‐spacer approach in suitable solvents, four new heterotrimetallic 1D chain‐like compounds (that is, containing 3d–3d′–4f metal ions), {[Ni(L)Ln(NO3)2(H2O)Fe(Tp*)(CN)3] ? 2 CH3CN ? CH3OH}n (H2L=N,N′‐bis(3‐methoxysalicylidene)‐1,3‐diaminopropane, Tp*=hydridotris(3,5‐dimethylpyrazol‐1‐yl)borate; Ln=Gd ( 1 ), Dy ( 2 ), Tb ( 3 ), Nd ( 4 )), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. All of these compounds are made up of a neutral cyanide‐ and phenolate‐bridged heterotrimetallic chain, with a {? Fe? C?N? Ni(? O? Ln)? N?C? }n repeat unit. Within these chains, each [(Tp*)Fe(CN)3]? entity binds to the NiII ion of the [Ni(L)Ln(NO3)2(H2O)]+ motif through two of its three cyanide groups in a cis mode, whereas each [Ni(L)Ln(NO3)2(H2O)]+ unit is linked to two [(Tp*)Fe(CN)3]? ions through the NiII ion in a trans mode. In the [Ni(L)Ln(NO3)2(H2O)]+ unit, the NiII and LnIII ions are bridged to one other through two phenolic oxygen atoms of the ligand (L). Compounds 1 – 4 are rare examples of 1D cyanide‐ and phenolate‐bridged 3d–3d′–4f helical chain compounds. As expected, strong ferromagnetic interactions are observed between neighboring FeIII and NiII ions through a cyanide bridge and between neighboring NiII and LnIII (except for NdIII) ions through two phenolate bridges. Further magnetic studies show that all of these compounds exhibit single‐chain magnetic behavior. Compound 2 exhibits the highest effective energy barrier (58.2 K) for the reversal of magnetization in 3d/4d/5d–4f heterotrimetallic single‐chain magnets.  相似文献

Phosphorus‐doped hexagonal tubular carbon nitride (P‐TCN) with the layered stacking structure was obtained from a hexagonal rod‐like single crystal supramolecular precursor (monoclinic, C2/m). The production process of P‐TCN involves two steps: 1) the precursor was prepared by self‐assembly of melamine with cyanuric acid from in situ hydrolysis of melamine under phosphorous acid‐assisted hydrothermal conditions; 2) the pyrolysis was initiated at the center of precursor under heating, thus giving the hexagonal P‐TCN. The tubular structure favors the enhancement of light scattering and active sites. Meanwhile, the introduction of phosphorus leads to a narrow band gap and increased electric conductivity. Thus, the P‐TCN exhibited a high hydrogen evolution rate of 67 μmol h?1 (0.1 g catalyst, λ >420 nm) in the presence of sacrificial agents, and an apparent quantum efficiency of 5.68 % at 420 nm, which is better than most of bulk g‐C3N4 reported.  相似文献

Efficient assembly of 6‐substituted 4‐aryl‐5‐oxo‐1,4,5,7‐tetrahydropyrrolo[3,4‐b]pyridines (7a‐f) is described according to a Hantzsch type reaction from formyl‐ester 4 by imination, borohydride reduction and intramolecular thermal amino‐ester cyclization. The starting compound 4 was prepared in three steps from the readily available formyl derivative 1, methyl 4,4‐dimethoxy‐3‐oxobutanoate and methyl 3‐aminocrotonate.  相似文献

Herein we report the unique conformations adopted by linear and cyclic tetrapeptides (CTPs) containing 2‐aminobenzoic acid (2‐Abz) in solution and as single crystals. The crystal structure of the linear tetrapeptide H2N‐d ‐Leu‐d ‐Phe‐2‐Abz‐d ‐Ala‐COOH ( 1 ) reveals a novel planar peptidomimetic β‐turn stabilized by three hydrogen bonds and is in agreement with its NMR structure in solution. While CTPs are often synthetically inaccessible or cyclize in poor yield, both 1 and its N ‐Me‐d ‐Phe analogue ( 2 ) adopt pseudo‐cyclic frameworks enabling near quantitative conversion to the corresponding CTPs 3 and 4 . The crystal structure of the N ‐methylated peptide ( 4 ) is the first reported for a CTP containing 2‐Abz and reveals a distinctly planar 13‐membered ring, which is also evident in solution. The N ‐methylation of d ‐Phe results in a peptide bond inversion compared to the conformation of 3 in solution.  相似文献

Sterically‐engineered rigid trigonal molecular modules based on 1,3,5‐tri(4‐hydroxyphenyl)benzenes H1 and H2 undergo O‐H???O hydrogen‐bonded self‐assembly into eight‐fold catenated hexagonal (6,3) and two‐fold interpenetrated undulated square (4,4) networks, respectively. In the presence of [18]crown‐6 as a guest, the triphenol H1 is found to self‐assemble into a honeycomb network with hexagonal voids created between three triphenol building blocks. The guest [18]crown‐6 molecules are found to be nicely nested in hexagonal enclosures. The empty spaces within the crowns can be further filled with neutral (MeOH/water, MeOH/MeNO2) or ionic guest species such as KI/KAcAc to furnish novel multicomponent assemblies, that is, guest ? guest ? host, that typify Russian dolls. In contrast, triphenol H2 is found to yield analogous multicomponent molecular crystals in which the guest crown–K+ acts as a spacers in the hydrogen‐bonded self‐assembly that leads to distorted chicken wire networks.  相似文献

A series of new β‐lactam derivatives 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g , 4h , 4i , 4j , 4k , 4l were synthesized from [2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of imines containing quinoline moiety 3a , 3b , 3c , 3d , 3e , 3f with ketene generated in situ from chloroacetyl chloride in dry Et3N. The structures of the prepared compounds were characterized by IR, MS, 1H NMR, and elemental analysis. In addition, the structure of ( 4i ) was determined by single crystal X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

Designing and characterizing the compounds with exotic structures and bonding that seemingly contrast the traditional chemical rules are a never‐ending goal. Although the silicon chemistry is dominated by the tetrahedral picture, many examples with the planar tetracoordinate‐Si skeletons have been discovered, among which simple species usually contain the 17/18 valence electrons. In this work, we report hitherto the most extensive structural search for the pentaatomic ptSi with 14 valence electrons, that is, (n + m = 4; q = 0, ±1, ?2; X, Y = main group elements from H to Br). For 129 studied systems, 50 systems have the ptSi structure as the local minimum. Promisingly, nine systems, that is, , HSiY3 (Y = Al/Ga), Ca3SiAl?, Mg4Si2?, C2LiSi, Si3Y2 (Y = Li/Na/K), each have the global minimum ptSi. The former six systems represent the first prediction. Interestingly, in HSiY3 (Y = Al/Ga), the H‐atom is only bonded to the ptSi‐center via a localized 2c–2e σ bond. This sharply contradicts the known pentaatomic planar‐centered systems, in which the ligands are actively involved in the ligand–ligand bonding besides being bonded to the planar center. Therefore, we proposed here that to generalize the 14e‐ptSi, two strategies can be applied as (1) introducing the alkaline/alkaline‐earth elements and (2) breaking the peripheral bonding. In light of the very limited global ptSi examples, the presently designed six systems with 14e are expected to enrich the exotic ptSi chemistry and welcome future laboratory confirmation. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Some new target products 5‐aryl‐4,5‐dihydro‐3‐(5‐methyl‐1‐p‐tolyl‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)‐1‐(4‐phenylthiazol‐2‐yl)pyrazoles 5a , 5b , 5c , 5d , 5e , 5f , 5g , 5h , 5i , 5j have been synthesized by reaction of 2‐bromo‐1‐phenylethanone and compounds 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g , 4h , 4i , 4j which were prepared from the combination of thiosemicarbazide and (E)‐3‐aryl‐1‐(5‐methyl‐1‐p‐tolyl‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)‐prop‐2‐en‐1‐ones 3a , 3b , 3c , 3d , 3e , 3f , 3g , 3h , 3i , 3j . In this study, methyl 2‐(quinolin‐8‐yloxy) acetate ( 2 ) obtained by reaction of 8‐hydroxyquinoline ( 1 ) with methyl chloroacetate was condensed with hydrazine hydrate to afford the carbohydrazide ( 3 ). Thio/semicarbazide derivatives ( 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g ) were obtained by treatment of the 3 with substituted phenyl iso/thioisocyanates. The 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g on acidic and basic intramolecular cyclization led to N‐(aryl)‐5‐((quinolin‐8‐yloxy)methyl)‐1,3,4‐oxa/thiadiazol‐2‐amines ( 5a , 5b , 5c , 5d , 5e , 5f , 5g ) and 4‐aryl‐5‐((quinolin‐8‐yloxy)methyl)‐2H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3(4H)‐thiones ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g ), respectively. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques and elemental analyses. The thiosemicarbazide ( 4c ) was also confirmed by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

Electrostatic self‐assembly can be used to form supramolecular vesicles in aqueous solution. Vesicles consist of cationic G8 poly(amidoamine) dendrimers and the trivalent sulfonate dye Ar27. No classical amphiphiles are present but the interplay of electrostatics, ππ interaction and geometric factors influences the structure formation. Labeled guest molecules, both small molecules and peptides, can be included inside these vesicles and vesicles imaged by fluorescence techniques. The structure was studied by dynamic and static light scattering, small‐angle neutron scattering, confocal laser scanning microscopy, and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy. The study indicates the prospect of constructing functional nanoobjects by the self‐assembly of charged molecules in aqueous solution.

4‐Aminopyrazole‐3‐ones 4b, e, f were prepared from pyrazole‐3‐ones 1b‐d in a four‐step reaction sequence. Reaction of the latter with methyl p‐toluenesulfonate gave 1‐methylpyrazol‐3‐ones 2b‐d . Compounds 2b‐d were treated with aqueous nitric acid to give 4‐nitropyrazol‐3‐ones 3b‐d. Reduction of compounds 3b‐d by catalytic hydrogenation with Pd‐C afforded the 4‐amino compounds 4b, e, f. Using similar reaction conditions, nitropyrazole‐3‐ones derivatives 2c, d were reduced into aminopyrazole‐3‐ones 5e, f. 4‐Iodopyrazole‐3‐ones 7a, 7c and 8 were prepared from the corresponding pyrazol‐3‐ones 2a, 2c and 6 and iodine monochloride or sodium azide and iodine monochloride.  相似文献

A new perylene bisimide (PBI) dye self‐assembles through hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions into J‐aggregates that in turn self‐organize into liquid‐crystalline (LC) columnar hexagonal domains. The PBI cores are organized with the transition dipole moments parallel to the columnar axis, which is an unprecedented structural organization in π‐conjugated columnar liquid crystals. Middle and wide‐angle X‐ray analyses reveal a helical structure consisting of three self‐assembled hydrogen‐bonded PBI strands that constitute a single column of the columnar hexagonal phase. This remarkable assembly mode for columnar liquid crystals may afford new anisotropic LC materials for applications in photonics.  相似文献

New αω‐bis‐(2‐hetaryl‐4‐oxothiazolidin‐3‐yl)alkanes were prepared via a common two step procedure using N,N‐bis‐hetarylidenamines condensation with α‐mercaptoacetic acid. The used bis‐aldimines were obtained from reaction between ethylenediamine or putrescine and benzaldehyde or the isomeric pyridinecarboxyaldehydes. The bis‐(2‐phenyl‐4‐oxothiazolidin‐3‐yl)alkanes were prepared by one‐pot three component reaction of diamine, aldehyde and α‐mercaptoacetic acid under very mild conditions.  相似文献

The cycloaddition reaction of cyclic imidates, 2‐benzyl‐5,6‐dihydro‐4H‐1,3‐oxazines 1a , 1b , 1c , 1d , 1e , 1f , with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate 2 , trimethyl ethylenetricarboxylate 4 , or dimethyl 2‐(methoxymethylene)malonate 6 afforded new fused heterocyclic compounds, such as methyl (6‐oxo‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐pyrrolo[2,1‐b]‐1,3‐oxazin‐7‐ylidene)acetates 3a , 3b , 3c , 3d , 3e , 3f (71–79%), dimethyl 2‐(6‐oxo‐3,4,6,7‐tetrahydro‐2H‐pyrrolo[2,1‐b]‐1,3‐oxazin‐7‐yl)malonates 5b , 5c , 5d , 5e , 5f (43–71%), or methyl 6‐oxo‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H,6H‐pyrido[2,1‐b]‐1,3‐oxazine‐7‐carboxylates 7a , 7b , 7c , 7d , 7e , 7f (32–59%), respectively. In these reactions, 1a , 1b , 1c , 1d , 1e , 1f (cyclic imidates, iminoethers) functioned as their N,C‐tautomers (enaminoethers) 2 to α,β‐unsaturated esters 2 , 4, and 6 to give annulation products 3 , 5 , and 7 following to the elimination of methanol, respectively. Herein, we present an innovative, novel, and highly convenient protocol for the synthesis of 3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐sec‐aminobiphenyl‐4‐carbonitriles ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g ) and 9,10‐dihydro‐3‐(pyridine‐2‐yl)‐1‐sec‐aminophenanthrene‐2‐carbonitriles ( 10a , 10b , 10c , 10d , 10e ), which have been delineated from the reaction of 4‐sec‐amino‐2‐oxo‐6‐aryl‐2H‐pyran‐3‐carbonitrile ( 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g ) and 4‐sec‐amino‐2‐oxo‐5,6‐dihydro‐2H‐benzo[h]chromene‐3‐carbonitriles ( 9a , 9b , 9c , 9d , 9e ) with 2‐acetylpyridine ( 5 ) through the ring transformation reaction by using KOH/DMF system at RT. The salient feature of this procedure is to provide a transition metal‐free route for the synthesis of asymmetrical 1,3‐teraryls like 3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐sec‐aminobiphenyl‐4‐carbonitriles ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g ) and 9,10‐dihydro‐3‐(pyridine‐2‐yl)‐1‐sec‐aminophenanthrene‐2‐carbonitriles ( 10a , 10b , 10c , 10d , 10e ). The novelty of the reaction lies in the creation of an aromatic ring from 2H‐pyran‐2‐ones and 2H‐benzo[h]chromene‐3‐carbonitriles via two‐carbon insertion from 2‐acetylpyridine ( 5 ) used as a source of carbanion.  相似文献

In continuation of our work, we synthesized 2‐(sulfamoylphenyl)‐4′‐amino‐4‐(4″‐hydroxyphenyl)‐thiazole ( 3a ), which were reacted with various (aryl/hetroaryl) aldehyde to form 2‐(sulfamoylphenyl)‐4′‐(iminoaryl/hetroaryl)‐4‐(4″‐hydroxyphenyl)‐thiazoles ( 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f ). Glucosylation of compounds ( 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f ) have been done by using acetobromoglucose as a glucosyl donor to afford 2‐(sulfamoylphenyl)‐4′‐(iminoaryl/hetroaryl)‐4‐(2,3,4,6‐tetra‐O‐acetyl‐4″‐O‐β‐D ‐glucosidoxyphenyl)‐thiazoles ( 5a , 5b , 5c , 5d , 5e , 5f ), further on deacetylation to produce 2‐(sulfamoylphenyl)‐4′‐(iminoaryl/hetroaryl)‐4‐(4″‐O‐β‐D ‐glucosidoxyphenyl)‐thiazoles ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f ). For the Ti/O system, three titanium monoxide (TiO) phases (α, β, and γ) with defective NaCl‐type structures and a high‐temperature hexagonal phase (H) have been known for decades. In this work, single crystals of a novel polymorph, ?‐TiO, were synthesized by using a bismuth flux. X‐ray diffraction (XRD) revealed a hexagonal crystal structure (a=4.9936(3) Å, c=2.8773(2) Å, P 2m) that is isotypic with ?‐TaN. While the Ti atoms are surrounded by trigonal prismatic (sixfold coordination) and trigonal planar (threefold coordination) arrangements of O atoms, the O atoms are found in a pseudo‐square‐pyramidal arrangement of Ti atoms. First‐principles calculations of the formation enthalpy and the electron and phonon density of states and crystal orbital Hamilton population (COHP) analysis revealed that ?‐TiO is more stable than α‐TiO, which had previously been regarded as the most stable phase at low temperatures.  相似文献

Pb(18‐crown‐6)Cl2 and Hg(18‐crown‐6)I2 are obtained as transparent colourless crystals of needle and hexagonal shape, respectively, by isothermal evaporation of their dichloromethane solutions. Pb(18‐crown‐6)Cl2 crystallizes with the trigonal crystal system [ , no. 148, a = b = 1176.3(2), c = 1191.8(3) pm, V = 1428.2(5) 106·pm3, Z = 3] whereas Hg(18‐crown‐6)I2 crystallizes with the orthorhombic crystal system (Pnma, no. 62, a = 1613.9(2) pm, b = 2822.2(5) pm, c = 841.3(1) pm, V = 3832(1)106·pm3, Z = 8). Both compounds are characterized by linear MX2 (HgI2 or PbCl2) molecular units which are encrypted by the crown ether. In both cases, the divalent metal ion resides in the middle of the crown ether resulting in a hexagonal bipyramidal coordination environment for the metal cations. The molecular symmetry comes close to D3d. Hg(18‐crown‐6)I2 and Pb(18‐crown‐6)Cl2 differ in the way the single MX2@18‐crown‐6 units are packed. Whereas the Hg(18‐crown‐6)I2 molecules are arranged in a (distorted) cubic closest packing, the Pb(18‐crown‐6)Cl2 molecules adopt a hexagonal closest packing.  相似文献
