ABSTRACT

In studying unique factorization of domains we encountered a property of ideals. Using that we define the notion of almost prime ideals and prove that in Noetherian domains almost prime ideals are primary. We also prove that in a regular domain almost primes are precisely primes. Further, we define strictly nonprime ideals and study some inter relations between almost prime ideals, strictly nonprime ideals and factorization of ideals.  相似文献

Full Ideals     
Contractedness of 𝔪-primary integrally closed ideals played a central role in the development of Zariski's theory of integrally closed ideals in two-dimensional regular local rings (R, 𝔪). In such rings, the contracted 𝔪-primary ideals are known to be characterized by the property that I: 𝔪 = I: x for some x ∈ 𝔪 ?𝔪2. We call the ideals with this property full ideals and compare this class of ideals with the classes of 𝔪-full ideals, basically full ideals, and contracted ideals in higher dimensional regular local rings. The 𝔪-full ideals are easily seen to be full. In this article, we find a sufficient condition for a full ideal to be 𝔪-full. We also show the equivalence of the properties full, 𝔪-full, contracted, integrally closed, and normal, for the class of parameter ideals. We then find a sufficient condition for a basically full parameter ideal to be full.  相似文献

The concept of a semiprime ideal in a poset is introduced. The relations between the semiprime (prime) ideals of a poset and the ideals of the set of all ideals of the poset are established. A result analogous to Separation Theorem is obtained in respect of semiprime ideals. Further, a generalization of Stone’s Separation Theorem for posets is obtained in respect of prime ideals. We study reverse lex ideals in a polynomial ring, and compare their properties to those of lex ideals. In particular we provide an analogue of Green's Theorem for reverse lex ideals. We also compare the Betti numbers of strongly stable and square-free strongly stable monomial ideals to those of reverse lex ideals.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notion of G-liftable ideals, which extends the liftable ideas defined by Assem and Le Meur. We characterize the G-liftable ideals and construct the Galois G-coverings of quotients of categories associated to the G-liftable ideals. In particular, we study the behavior of G-liftable admissible ideals under Galois G-coverings. Furthermore, we show that the ideals generated by finite dimensional projective modules over a locally bounded linear categories are admissible G-liftable ideals. As an application, we provide a reduction technique for dealing with the existence of Serre functors in the stable categories of Gorenstein projective objects.  相似文献

We introduce some determinantal ideals of the generalized Laplacian matrix associated to a digraph G, that we call critical ideals of G. Critical ideals generalize the critical group and the characteristic polynomials of the adjacency and Laplacian matrices of a digraph. The main results of this article are the determination of some minimal generator sets and the reduced Gröbner basis for the critical ideals of the complete graphs, the cycles and the paths. Also, we establish a bound between the number of trivial critical ideals and the stability and clique numbers of a graph.  相似文献

In this paper we characterize all principal Borel ideals with Borel generator up to degree 4 which are Gotzmann. We also classify principal Borel ideals with a Borel generator of degree d which are lexsegment and we describe the shadows of principal Borel ideals. Two kinds of order ideals, namely, the n-prime ideals and k-closed ideals of a poset are introduced and shown to be equivalent in the sense that an order-ideal is (n+1)-prime if and only if it is n-closed. Also a prime radical theorem for these ideals is proved.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of t-spread monomials and t-spread strongly stable ideals. These concepts are a natural generalization of strongly stable and squarefree strongly stable ideals. For the study of this class of ideals we use the t-fold stretching operator. It is shown that t-spread strongly stable ideals are componentwise linear. Their height, their graded Betti numbers and their generic initial ideal are determined. We also consider the toric rings whose generators come from t-spread principal Borel ideals.  相似文献

Fuzzifications ofn-fold quasi-associative ideals are considered. Conditions for a fuzzy ideal to be a fuzzyn-fold quasi-associative ideal are given. Using a collection ofn-fold quasi-associative ideals, fuzzyn-fold quasi-associative ideals are constructed. We present a new approach to the study of multiplier ideals in a local, two-dimensional setting. Our method allows us to deal with ideals, graded systems of ideals and plurisubharmonic functions in a unified way. Among the applications are a formula for the complex integrability exponent of a plurisubharmonic function in terms of Kiselman numbers, and a proof of the openness conjecture by Demailly and Kollár. Our technique also yields new proofs of two recent results: one on the structure of the set of complex singularity exponents for holomorphic functions; the other by Lipman and Watanabe on the realization of ideals as multiplier ideals.

We present a generalization of the ascending and descending chain condition on one-sided ideals by means of divisibility on chains. We say that a ring R satisfies ACCd on right ideals if in every ascending chain of right ideals of R, each right ideal in the chain, except for a finite number of right ideals, is a left multiple of the following one; that is, each right ideal in the chain, except for a finite number, is divisible by the following one. We study these rings and prove some results about them. Dually, we say that a ring R satisfies DCCd on right ideals if in every descending chain of right ideals of R, each right ideal in the chain, except for a finite number of right ideals, is divisible by the previous one. We study these conditions on rings, in general and in special cases.  相似文献

In 1988 Kalai constructed a large class of simplicial spheres, called squeezed spheres, and in 1991 presented a conjecture about generic initial ideals of Stanley-Reisner ideals of squeezed spheres. In the present paper this conjecture will be proved. In order to prove Kalai's conjecture, based on the fact that every squeezed (d−1)-sphere is the boundary of a certain d-ball, called a squeezed d-ball, generic initial ideals of Stanley-Reisner ideals of squeezed balls will be determined. In addition, generic initial ideals of exterior face ideals of squeezed balls are determined. On the other hand, we study the squeezing operation, which assigns to each Gorenstein* complex Γ having the weak Lefschetz property a squeezed sphere Sq(Γ), and show that this operation increases graded Betti numbers.  相似文献

Abstract

Nilpotent and solvable ideals are defined and investigated in categories. The relation between the prime radical and the sum of the solvable ideals (which is also a radical) is discussed in categories. For example: If an object satisfies the maximal condition for ideals, then the prime radical is equal to the sum of the solvable ideals. Certain generalizations of theorems in rings, groups, Lie algebras, etc. are also proven, for example: An ideal α: IA is semiprime if and only if A/I contains no non-zero nilpotent ideals.  相似文献

An ideal of a ring is completely irreducible if it is not the intersection of any set of proper overideals. We investigate the structure of completely irrreducible ideals in a commutative ring without finiteness conditions. It is known that every ideal of a ring is an intersection of completely irreducible ideals. We characterize in several ways those ideals that admit a representation as an irredundant intersection of completely irreducible ideals, and we study the question of uniqueness of such representations. We characterize those commutative rings in which every ideal is an irredundant intersection of completely irreducible ideals.
