One determines the natural boundary values of the solutions of degenerate elliptic equations. We investigate the problem of the well-posedness of a boundary-value problem for a system of pseudodifferential equations of arbitrary order with nonlocal conditions. The equation and boundary conditions contain pseudodifferential operators whose symbols are defined and continuous in a certain domain H ⊂ ℝ σ m . The existence and uniqueness of solutions of the boundary-contact problem of elasticity for homogeneous anisotropic media with a contact on some part of their boundaries are investigated in the Besov and Bessel potential classes using the methods of the potential theory and the theory of pseudodifferential equations on manifolds with boundary. Summary. We develop an a posteriori error estimate for boundary element solutions of static contact problems without friction. The presented result is based on an error estimate for linear pseudodifferential equations and on a certain commutator property for pseudodifferential operators. A heuristic extension of the obtained error estimate to frictional contact problems is presented, too. Numerical examples indicate a good performance of the error estimator for both the frictionless and the frictional problem. We investigate the structure of solutions of boundary value problems for a one-dimensional nonlinear system of pseudodifferential equations describing the dynamics (rolling) of p-adic open, closed, and open-closed strings for a scalar tachyon field using the method of successive approximations. For an open-closed string, we prove that the method converges for odd values of p of the form p = 4n+1 under the condition that the solution for the closed string is known. For p = 2, we discuss the questions of the existence and the nonexistence of solutions of boundary value problems and indicate the possibility of discontinuous solutions appearing. We give a procedure for reconstructing a magnetic field and electric potential from boundary measurements given by the Dirichlet to Neumann map for the magnetic Schrödinger operator in R n , n ≥ 3. The magnetic potential is assumed to be continuous with L divergence and zero boundary values. The method is based on semiclassical pseudodifferential calculus and the construction of complex geometrical optics solutions in weighted Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, the unique solvability, Fredholm property, and the principle of limiting absorption are proved for a boundary value problem for the system of Maxwell's equations in a semi‐infinite rectangular cylinder coupled with a layer by an aperture of arbitrary shape. Conditions at infinity are taken in the form of the Sveshnikov–Werner partial radiation conditions. The method of solution employs Green's functions of the partial domains and reduction to vector pseudodifferential equations considered in appropriate vectorial Sobolev spaces. In this paper, a bisingular pseudodifferential calculus, along the lines of the one introduced by L. Rodino in his paper of 1975, is developed in the global setting of a product of compact Lie groups. The approach follows that introduced by M. Ruzhansky and V. Turunen in their book of 2010 (see also V. Fischer's paper of 2015), in that it exploits the harmonic analysis of the groups involved.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to pseudodifferential boundary value problems in domains with singular points on the boundary. The tangent cone at a singular point is allowed to degenerate. In particular, the boundary may rotate and oscillate in a neighbourhood of such a point. We show a criterion for the Fredholm property of a boundary value problem and derive estimates of solutions close to singular points.  相似文献

This paper focus on a simplified viscoelastic problem subjected to unilateral boundary conditions. The problem is reduced to a pseudodifferential linear complementarity problem using Fourier techniques. Under appropriate regularity assumptions on the data, the diagonal process is employed to prove the existence result to this pseudodifferential linear complementarity problem.  相似文献

Isoperimetric estimates are obtained of solutions of boundary value problems for a class of pseudodifferential equations. This class of equations includes the equation of problems on plane normal discontinuity cracks located in a homogeneous linearly elastic space and an inhomogeneous space whose Young's modulus has a power-law dependence on the distance to the plane of the crack. As it applies to crack problems, the established inequalities yield, in particular, isoperimetric estimates of the maximum opening of the crack and its volume under arbitrary loads.  相似文献

We define a class of boundary value problems on manifolds with fibered boundary. This class is in a certain sense a deformation between the classical boundary value problems and the Atiyah–Patodi–Singer problems in subspaces (it contains both as special cases). The boundary conditions in this theory are taken as elements of the C *‐algebra generated by pseudodifferential operators and families of pseudodifferential operators in the fibers. We prove the Fredholm property for elliptic boundary value problems and compute a topological obstruction (similar to Atiyah–Bott obstruction) to the existence of elliptic boundary conditions for a given elliptic operator. Here we discuss three-dimensional so-called basic and mixed boundary value problems (BVP) for steady state oscillations of piecewise homogeneous anisotropic bodies imbedded into an infinite elastic continuum. Uniqueness is shown with the help of generalized Sommerfeld–Kupradze radiation conditions, while existence follows for arbitrary values of the oscillation parameter by the reduction of the original interface transmission BVPs to equivalent uniquely solvable boundary integral or pseudodifferential equations on the interfaces. For the basic BVPs, we show classical regularity and, in addition for the mixed BVPs that the solutions are Hölder continuous with exponent α ∈ (0, 1/2) in the neighbourhood of the curves of discontinuity of the boundary and transmission conditions.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the problem on motion of a rigid body in a viscous incompressible fluid. It is proved that there exist at least two weak solutions of this problem if collisions of the body with the boundary of the flow domain are allowed. These solutions have different behavior of the body after the collision. Namely, for the first solution, the body goes away from the boundary after the collision. In the second solution, the body and the boundary remain in contact. We review several purely mathematical results concerning boundary value problems for nonlinear pseudodifferential equations for p-adic closed and open strings in the tree approximation in the case d = 1. For the solutions of these problems, we present formulas establishing the relations between the numbers of their zeros, the multiplicities of the zeros, and the numbers indicating how many times the solutions change sign.  相似文献

We consider a class of boundary value problems for the three-dimensional Helmholtz equation that appears in diffraction theory. On the three faces of the octant, which are quadrants, we admit first order boundary conditions with constant coefficients, linear combinations of Dirichlet, Neumann, impedance and/or oblique derivative type. A new variety of surface potentials yields 3 × 3 boundary pseudodifferential operators on the quarterplane that are equivalent to the operators associated to the boundary value problems in a Sobolev space setting. These operators are analyzed and inverted in particular cases, which gives us the analytical solution of a number of well-posed problems. Dedicated to Vladimir G.
