This paper reports on an investigation of the temperature dependences of the capacitance and conductance of composite materials prepared by incorporating the ferroelectric TGS and its analogs—TGS with addition of L,α-alanine and chromium—into porous Al2O3 and SiO2 matrices. It has been established that conduction of the structures under study involves charge transport predominantly through the ferroelectric embedded in the porous matrix. A mechanism is proposed to account for the displacement of the phase transition temperature of the ferroelectric inclusion under “restricted geometry” conditions, which is driven by the difference between the thermal expansion coefficients of the porous matrix and the embedded ferroelectric.  相似文献

Low-temperature specific heat and thermal expansion measurements are used to study the hydrogen-based ferroelectric lawsonite over the temperature range 1.8 K ≤ T ≤ 300 K. The second-order phase transition near 125 K is detected in the experiments, and the low-temperature phase is determined to be improper ferroelectric and co-elastic. In the ferroelectric phase T ≤ 125 K, the spontaneous polarization P(s) is proportional to (1) the volume strain e(s), and (2) the excess entropy ΔS(e). These proportionalities confirm the improper character of the ferroelectric phase transition. We develop a structural model that allows the off-centering of hydrogen positions to generate the spontaneous polarization. In the low-temperature limit we detect a Schottky anomaly (two-level system) with an energy gap of Δ ~ 0.5 meV.  相似文献

A ferroelectric phase transition in a system of electrically interacting small particles is considered. The size effects in a single particle are described in terms of the Landau phenomenological model. The interaction between particles is reduced to a dipole-dipole interaction. It is shown that the interparticle interaction can lead to a substantial increase in the phase transition temperature as compared to the temperature of the ferroelectric transition in a single small particle.  相似文献

The elastic, inelastic, and dielectric properties of the magnetoelectric composite xPbZr0.53Ti0.47O3-(1 ? x)Mn0.4Zn0.6Fe2O4 (PZT-MZF) are studied in the temperature range from room temperature to 673 K. The influence of the ferroelectric PZT phase on the magnetic phase transition and the magnetic MZF phase on the ferroelectric phase transition is revealed. It is established that, as the PZT content increases, the degree of diffuseness of the phase transition decreases and a gradual crossover from a pronounced relaxor behavior to a more ordered ferroelectric behavior occurs.  相似文献

Crystals of the (NH4)2SO4 ammonium sulfate are studied using x-ray diffractometry. It is revealed that the temperature dependence of the lattice parameters exhibits an anomalous behavior, namely, a global hysteresis, and an anomalous increase in the lattice parameter a and the unit cell volume at temperatures below the ferroelectric phase transition point (T c=223 K). The series of superstructure reflections observed corresponds to an incommensurate composite structure. Analysis of the temperature behavior of the mismatch parameters for the matrix (host) and superstructure (guest) lattices demonstrates that the (NH4)2SO4 compound undergoes a number of phase transitions, including a transition to a three-dimensionally incommensurate composite phase and transitions to commensurate (along one of the crystallographic directions) composite phases.  相似文献

Crystals of (Rb0.1(NH4)0.9)2SO4 solid solutions are studied using x-ray diffractometry. It is revealed that the temperature dependence of the lattice parameter a exhibits an anomalous behavior, namely, the “invar effect” at temperatures above the ferroelectric phase transition point T c and an anomalous increase in the temperature range from T c to the liquid-helium temperature. An anomalous increase in the lattice parameter a and an increase in the intensity of Bragg reflections with a decrease in the temperature are interpreted within the model of the coexistence of two sublattices hypothetically responsible for the ferroelectric phase transition. A series of superstructure reflections observed along the basis axes corresponds to a sublattice formed in the matrix of the host structure. Analysis of the ratio between the lattice parameters of these structures allows the inference that, in the temperature range 4.2–300 K, the structure of the crystal under investigation can be considered an incommensurate single-crystal composite.  相似文献

A powder sample of potassium dihydrophosphate KH2PO4 has been studied by the 31P NMR method in a wide temperature range covering the ferroelectric phase transition. Changes in the position and shape of the resonance line at the transition to the ferroelectric phase have been revealed. The parameters of the chemical shift tensor of 31P (isotropic shift, anisotropy, and asymmetry) in the ferroelectric phase have been calculated from the experimental data. A sharp increase in the anisotropy of the tensor at the phase transition has been demonstrated. Dielectric measurements have also been carried out to verify the transition temperature.  相似文献

The thermal properties of piezoelectric ceramics (PKR-8, PKR-7M) based on lead zirconate titanate solid solutions Pb(Ti, Zr)O3 were studied over the temperature range 300–800 K. The temperature changes in the pyroelectric coefficient of the PZT-type materials synthesized in the morphotropic phase-transition region have been dynamically investigated under different polarization conditions. The temperature ranges of thermodynamic instability of the domain and phase structures after the “high-voltage” polarization have been revealed. The samples undergoing a phase transition into the ferroelectric state in an electric field exhibit enhanced thermal stability of domain structures.  相似文献

(Pb1? x Ba x )ZrO3 ceramics for the composition range 0?≤?x?≤?0.30 were prepared by the mixed oxide solid state reaction method. Phase transition was studied by dielectric and dilatometric measurements. The ferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition temperature was progressively shifted to a lower temperature by replacing lead with barium. The x?=?0.20 sample showed the maximum dielectric constant of 16,300 at the transition temperature. For compositions 0?≤?x?≤?0.075, the antiferroelectric to ferroelectric phase transition exhibited a large linear thermal expansion. However, the antiferroelectric to ferroelectric phase transition did not exist for 0.10?≤?x?≤?0.30 samples. A phase diagram for PBZ ceramics prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method was also present.  相似文献

Long-range effects on the pyroelectric coefficient of a ferroelectric superlattice consisting of two different ferroelectric materials are investigated based on the transverse Ising model.The effects of the interfacial coupling and the thickness of one period on the pyroelectric coefficient of the ferroelectric superlattics are studied by taking into account the long-range interaction.It is found that with the increase of the strength of the long-range interaction,the pyroelectric coefficient decreases when the temperature is lower than the phase transition temperature;the mumber of the pyroelectric peaks decreases gradually and the phase transition temperature increases,It is also found that with the decrease of the interfacial coupling and the thickness of one period.the phase transition temperature and the number of the pyroelectric peaks decrease.  相似文献

The temperature evolution of the structure of NaNO(2) nanocomposite ferroelectric material in a porous glass with 7 nm pores was studied by neutron diffraction in temperature region from room temperature up to the melting, i.e. in the ferro- and paraelectric phases. It is demonstrated that in the ferroelectric phase the structure is consistent with the structure of the bulk, but above the ferroelectric phase transition (and up to approximately 513 K) a volume premelted state is formed, manifesting itself in a growth of amplitudes of ion thermal vibrations, a steep increase of elementary cell volume and "softening" of lattice. For the first time the temperature dependence of order parameter eta for confined sodium nitrite is determined. eta (T) follows a power law with T(C)=425.6+/- 2.1 K and beta= 0.31+/- 0.04, which is essentially different from that for bulk NaNO(2). Our obtained data are in a good agreement with the results of earlier dielectric and neutron diffraction measurements.  相似文献

Based on the transverse Ising model and using decoupling approximation to the Fermi-type Green's function, we study the phase transition properties of the epitaxial ferroelectric film with one substrate. A general recursive equation of the ferroelectric thin film with two n-layer materials is obtained, which enables us to study the phase transition properties for any number layers forepitaxial ferroelectric thin film. With the help of this equation, we analyze the effect of the exchange interaction and the transverse field in the phase diagram, the influence to the polarizations and Curie temperature numerically. The results show that epitaxial ferroelectric film are able to induce a strong increase or decrease of Curie temperature to different exchange interactions and transverse fields within the epitaxial film layers. The theoreticalresults are in reasonable accordance with experimental data of different ferroelectric thin film.  相似文献

The heat capacity and thermal expansion of ferroelectric relaxors based on lead zirconate titanate are studied near the diffuse phase transition. It is shown that no spontaneous phase transitions from the paraelectric phase to the ferroelectric phase and from the relaxor state to the normal ferroelectric state occur in an ensemble of nanometer-sized polar regions. It is noted that the transitions can be caused only by external electric fields or storage for a fairly long time.  相似文献

Compactness and large energy conversion capacity are the main reasons of development of sophisticated ceramics materials in microfibers form, which are prepared for high-speed multiferroic systems and devices. These multifunctional composite applications are owing to coupling of electrical and magnetic properties, as well as additional thermal and mechanical properties. So that, they are suitable for magnetic sensors, electrically tunable non-linear transducers, and non-volatile memories. In our experiment, the thin fibers ceramics have been produced using special environmental chamber where the high temperature sintering can be protected by controlling such parameters as temperature and sintering atmosphere. Consequently, for these purposes structural and physical properties, preparation and thermal synthesis of micrometer sized lead lanthanum zirconate titanate (PLZT) fibers were investigated thoroughly. Since the phase transition properties of PLZT fibers differ much, the production process of fibers suffers from lack of proper high temperature control. Consequently, our experiments should help to eliminate this drawback, so that various technological conditions, parameters, and subsequent sintering atmosphere with different mixtures of PbO and ZrO were experimentally tested. Final conclusions include comparative analysis of obtained PLZT fibers ferroelectric phase transition properties to specific sintering atmosphere.  相似文献

The results of investigations of dielectric and magnetodielectric properties of ternary layered TlInS2 and TlGaSe2 ferroelectric crystals implanted with 40 keV Co+ ions at the fluency of 1.0 × 1017 ion/cm2 are presented. The temperature dependences of the dielectric susceptibility of Co-implanted samples showed that the formation of metal nanoparticulate composite layer in the near-surface irradiated region as a result of high-fluency Co implantation causes considerable shifts of well-known successive structural phase transition points to high temperatures in heating regime. It has been revealed that the application of the magnetic field in the direction perpendicular to implanted surface results in shifting of the phase transition points to low temperature region. The observed peculiarities are considered as magnetocapacitance (magnetodielectric) effects, which appeared as a result of magnetoelectric lock-in interaction between domains of ferroelectric and ferromagnetic substances of the composite structure.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the linear permittivity and the third harmonic generation amplitude of nanocomposites representing nanoporous silica matrices (opal matrix and SBA-15) with triglycine sulfate embedded in pores has been studied in the region of the ferroelectric phase transition. A broadening of the phase transition and an increase its temperature in comparison with bulk triglycine sulfate have been revealed. The latter becomes more significant as the pore size decreases. It has been shown that the nonlinear dielectric properties of nanocomposites near the phase transition differ significantly from the properties of bulk triglycine sulfate.  相似文献

The numerical analysis of a nonlinear equation set has revealed a possible increase in the ferroelectric phase transition point at the presence of the intermediate layer at the ferroelectric–dielectric interface. 本文分别制备了纳米石墨烯片质量分数为0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%的纳米石墨烯片-正十八烷复合相变材料,并通过扫描电镜测试、红外光谱分析、差示扫描量热实验及导热分析等实验对其形貌结构及热物性进行表征和研究.实验表明本文制备的纳米石墨烯-正十八烷复合相变材料具有很好的相变稳定性;当纳米石墨烯片的质量分数达到2%时,复合相变材料的导热系数相对于纯十八烷高出了89.4%.  相似文献
