A silica-based inorganic sorbent was synthesized by the thermal decomposition of ammonium heptamolybdate on silica and applied for the preconcentration and simultaneous determination of Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb in river water samples using a column system with flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Attenuated total reflection-Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and electron dispersive spectroscopy were used for sorbent characterization. The effects of pH, sample volume, eluent type, eluent concentration, eluent volume, sample flow rate, and matrix ions (Al, Bi, Ca, Mg, and Zn) on the recovery of the metals in model solutions were investigated. The adsorption capacities (µmol g?1) of SiO2-MoO3 were 88.96 (Cd), 169.69 (Co), 153.85 (Cr), 188.88 (Cu), 179.05 (Fe), 163.81 (Mn), 136.31 (Ni), and 38.61 (Pb). The detection limits of the method were 9.09, 10.82, 10.77, 49.57, 31.64, 6.40, 8.86, 19.15?µg L?1 for Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb, respectively, with a preconcentration factor of 25. The developed method was used for the determination of the target metals in real samples and the recoveries for spiked samples were found to be from 91.2% to 102.9%.  相似文献

The dynamic adsorption and desorption properties, including the effect of pH value and flow rate on the adsorption, eluent acidity and volume, eluting velocity and re-use, of Cu(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Hg(II) ions on the column loaded with poly(acrylaminophosphonic-carboxyl-hydrazide) chelating fiber were investigated. The recovery of Mn(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) ions in the presence of Na, K, Ca and Mg ions was examined. The preconcentration of trace amounts of Mn(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) ions from model solution samples was carried out with satisfactory results. The amount of the metal ions detected after preconcentration and recovery by this technique was basically in agreement with the added amount. The method is rapid, precise and simple. Thiacalix[4]arenetetrasulfonate (TCAS) has been examined as a pre-column chelating reagent for the determination of trace metal ions by kinetic differentiation mode (KD) ion-pair reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with spectrophotometric detection. Among 14 kinds of common metal ions tested here, viz. Al(III), Ca(II), Cd(II), Co(II), Cr(III), Cu(II), Fe(III), Hg(II), Mg(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), V(V), and Zn(II) ion, only Ni(II) ion was detected as the TCAS chelate in the HPLC separation stage in spite of TCAS forming the chelates with various metal ions except for Al(III), Ca(II), and Mg(II) at the pre-column chelation stage. The undetected metal-TCAS chelates seemed to be dissociated on an HPLC column where no added TCAS was present in the mobile phase because of their kinetic unstability. The calibration graph for Ni(II) ion gave a wide linear dynamic range (40-20,000 nM) with the very low detection limit (DL) (3σ base-line fluctuation) to be 5.4 nM (0.32 ng ml−1). The practical applicability of the KD-HPLC method with TCAS was demonstrated with the determination of trace Ni in coal fly ash.  相似文献

The mixture of metal ions [Bi(III), Fe(III), Fe(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Pb(II), Cd(II), Mn(II)] were separated in the bonded-phase strong cation exchange column (Vydac-401 SA) and monitored at 540 nm after a postcolumn reaction with 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol (PAR). Citrate, tartrate, lactate and α-hydroxyisobutyrate buffer were used as eluent and it has been found that the elution order of some metal ions were changed with different eluents. The detection limits and the calibration curves of metal ions were also studied.  相似文献

A novel automated off-line preconcentration system for trace metals (Al, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb) in seawater was developed by improving a commercially available solid-phase extraction system SPE-100 (Hiranuma Sangyo). The utilized chelating resin was NOBIAS Chelate-PA1 (Hitachi High-Technologies) with ethylenediaminetriacetic acid and iminodiacetic acid functional groups. Parts of the 8-way valve made of alumina and zirconia in the original SPE-100 system were replaced with parts made of polychlorotrifluoroethylene in order to reduce contamination of trace metals. The eluent pass was altered for the back flush elution of trace metals. We optimized the cleaning procedures for the chelating resin column and flow lines of the preconcentration system, and developed a preconcentration procedure, which required less labor and led to a superior performance compared to manual preconcentration (Sohrin et al. [5]). The nine trace metals were simultaneously and quantitatively preconcentrated from ∼120 g of seawater, eluted with ∼15 g of 1 M HNO3, and determined by HR-ICP-MS using the calibration curve method. The single-step preconcentration removed more than 99.998% of Na, K, Mg, Ca, and Sr from seawater. The procedural blanks and detection limits were lower than the lowest concentrations in seawater for Mn, Ni, Cu, and Pb, while they were as low as the lowest concentrations in seawater for Al, Fe, Co, Zn, and Cd. The accuracy and precision of this method were confirmed by the analysis of reference seawater samples (CASS-5, NASS-5, GEOTRACES GS, and GD) and seawater samples for vertical distribution in the western North Pacific Ocean.  相似文献

Summary A method of separation and colorimetric determination of trace amounts (10–4–10–5%) of Cu, Al, Fe, Bi, Pb, Mn, Cd, Zn, Co, and M in platinum-rhodium (10%) alloys has been developed. The elements to be determined are retained on a column containing the strongly acidic cation-exchanger Amberlite IR-120, from dilute hydrochloric acid medium (pH 1–1.5), while platinum and rhodium pass through in the form of anionic chloride complexes. The individual metals are eluted and concentrated and then separated by extraction and carrier precipitation. The metals are determined by means of sensitive colorimetrie methods with dithizone (Cu, Bi, Pb, Cd, Zn), eriochromecyanine R (Al), 2-nitroso-1-naphthol (Co),-furildioxime (Ni), 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (Mn), and thiocyanate (Fe). The error of the determination does not exceed 15%.
Zusammenfassung Eine Trennungs- und Bestimmungsmethode für Spuren (10–4 bis 10–5%) von Cu, Al, Fe, Bi, Pb, Mn, Cd, Zn, Co und Ni in PIatm-Rhodium-(10%)-Legierungen wurde ausgearbeitet.Die angeführten Elemente werden mit Amberlit IR-120 aus der verd. salzsauren Lösung (pH 1 bis 1,5) von Platin und Rhodium getrennt, die als Anionchloridkomplexe im Eluat bleiben. Die einzelnen Metalle werden nach Elution aus ihrer Lösung durch Extraktion bzw. Mitfällung getrennt und kolorimetrisch mit Dithizon (Cu, Bi, Pb, Cd, Zn), Eriochromcyanin R (Al), 2-Nitroso-1-naphthol (Co),-Furildioxim (Ni), 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (Mn) und Rhodanid (Fo) bestimmt. Summary Methods for the determination of Bi, Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, In, Ni, Pb, Sb and Zn in phosphoric acid by ETA-AAS using the platform technique were developed. The detection limits are in the range of 1 to 30 ppb for conc. H3PO4. Relative standard deviations of 5–10% at 10 times the detection limits were achieved. The results obtained by five different atomic spectroscopic methods are in good agreement (direct Zeeman-ETA-AAS, D2-ETA-AAS and FAAS; OES and FAAS after trace extraction).  相似文献

A procedure for the determination of trace levels of Cd, Co, Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb by flame atomic absorption spectrometry using a column preconcentration system is described in which the metals were adsorbed on pulverized banana peel, an economically and environmentally acceptable sorbent. In the optimization procedure, five variables (sample pH, mass of biosorbent, type of eluent, sample flow rate, and volume) were optimized and the capacity of the biosorbent was established. Under the optimized conditions, the detection limits of the method were 2.4, 27.0, 49.4, 31.1, 6.7, 29.6, and 46.2 µg L?1 for Cd, Co, Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb, respectively. The precision, expressed as relative standard deviation, was less than 4% based on twelve measurements. The recoveries were 81.1% (Cd), 91.4% (Co), 87.2% (Cr), 90.1% (Fe), 88.0% (Mn), 94.1% (Ni), and 93.2% (Pb) under the optimum conditions (pH; 9, sample flow rate; 3 mL min?1, mass of biosorbent; 200 mg; eluent; 1 mol L?1 nitric acid, preconcentration factor; 10). The sorption capacity of pulverized banana peel was 15.12, 28.85, 32.70, 30.44, 30.94, 28.97, and 8.21 µmol per gram of adsorbent for Cd, Co, Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb, respectively.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Zur Anreicherung von Spurenelementen aus Lösungen reinster Thalliumpräparate wird die Matrix Thallium als TlJ ausgefällt. Dabei bleiben die Spuren Mg, Zn, Al, Ga, In, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Sn, La, Ce, Th und U quantitativ in Lösung, während Bi, Cu, Pb und Cd sowie die Edelmetalle Ag, Hg, Pd, Au und Pt vom Niederschlag mitgerissen werden. Die Adsorption der für die Reinheitsprüfung des Thalliums wichtigen Elemente Bi, Cu, Pb und Cd kann verhindert werden, wenn sie mit Hilfe von ÄDTA in Komplexanionen übergeführt werden. Als Fällungsmittel wird NaJ verwendet. Zur spektrochemischen Bestimmung werden Pb, Cd, Bi, Ni, Co und In als DDTC-Komplexe mit Chloroform extrahiert. Nach Zusatz einer Mischung von Lithiumcarbonat-Kohle und den Referenzelementen Sn und Pd wird der Eindampfrückstand im Gleichstrombogen analysiert. Cu und Fe werden photometrisch bestimmt.
Enrichment and spectrochemical determination of trace elements in high-purity thallium preparations
For the enrichment of trace elements in solutions of high-purity thallium samples, thallium is precipitated in form of TlI. In this process the noble metals Ag, Hg, Pd, Au, Pt and also Bi, Cu, Pb and Cd will be co-precipitated, whereas many other elements (Mg, Zn, Al, Ga, In, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Sn, La, Ce, Th, U) will remain completely in solution. The adsorption of the four elements Bi, Cu, Pb, Cd, which are important for the purity control of thallium compounds, can be prevented, if they are complexed with EDTA to form complex anions. The precipitating reagent is NaI. For the spectrochemical determination of Pb, Cd, Bi, Ni, Co, and In, the trace elements are extracted as DDTC complexes with chloroform. After the addition of a mixture of Li2CO3, carbon, and the reference elements Sn and Pd, the sample is analysed, using the d.c. arc. Cu and Fe are determined spectrophotometrically.

A method is described for the enrichment and determination of trace metals such as Ag, Bi, Cu, Co, Cd, In, Pb, Ni, Tl, Fe and Hg, present as impurities in high-purity zinc and zinc(II) nitrate. When the sample solution, after addition of potassium ethyl xanthate, is filtered through a small filter paper coated with 50 mg of activated carbon, the trace elements are quantitatively adsorbed on the carbon. The trace elements (with the exception of Hg) are dissolved off with nitric acid and determined by atomic-absorption or emission spectrometry. Mercury is evaporated at 650 degrees and determined by flameless atomic-absorption. In 10 g of Zn oe 50 g of Zn(NO(3))(2).6H(2)O the limit of detection is 0.1-60 ppM and the coefficient of variation was 2.7-20%.  相似文献

A chromatographic method for the determination of transition metals in human hair samples is described. The method involves the separation of Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Cd and Mn in a C18 column coated with sodium hexadecane-sulfonate (SHS) and spectrophotometric detection (520 nm) after post-column reaction of the eluted metals with 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol (PAR). The eluent was a 100 mM tartrate solution adjusted to pH 3.1 with a 2 M sodium hydroxide solution (flow-rate=1.0 ml min(-1)). A good separation of the eluted metals (specially for Cu/Pb and Zn/Ni) has been achieved. The detection limits, expressed as mug l(-1), were 2.2 (Cu), 8.0 (Pb), 2.8 (Zn), 1.5 (Ni), 1.5 (Co), 12.0 (Cd), and 1.4 (Mn). A microwave-assisted closed vessel acid digestion procedure with HNO(3)+HClO(4) (4+1 ml) was used for the hair samples solubilisation. Nineteen hair samples were analysed with the proposed method. The results were in good agreement with those obtained by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS).  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Die kathodenstrahlpolarographische Bestimmung von Ni, Pb, Cu, Co, Fe, Mo, Te, Sn, Zn, Bi, Cd, Tl in Tetrachlorogoldsäure wird beschrieben. Die Nachweisgrenzen liegen im 10–4%- bzw. 10–5%-Bereich (Ni, Co, Mo). Die Spuren werden über einen Ionenaustauscher AG 1X8 untereinander und von der Matrix getrennt.
Cathode-ray polarographic determination of trace elements in tetrachloroauric acid after separation by ion exchange
A method is described for the cathode-ray polarographic determination of traces of Ni, Pb, Cu, Co, Fe, Mo, Te, Sn, Zn, Bi, Cd, Tl in H(AuCl4). Gold is separated from the trace metals by absorption on the strongly basic anion-exchange resin AG 1X8. The detection limits are within the ranges of 10–4% and 10–5% ((Ni, Co, Mo).

Amberlite XAD-16 was loaded with 4-{[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]methyl}-1,2-benzenediol (HIMB) via azo linker and the resulting resin AXAD-16-HIMB explored for enrichment of Zn(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Cd(II), Cu(II), Fe(III) and Co(II) in the pH range 5.0-8.0. The sorption capacity was found between 56 and 415 μmol g−1 and the preconcentration factors from 150 to 300. Tolerance limits for foreign species are reported. The kinetics of sorption is not slow, as t1/2 is ≤15 min. The chelating resin can be reused for seventy cycles of sorption-desorption without any significant change (<2.0%) in the sorption capacity. The limit of detection values (blank + 3 s) are 1.72, 1.30, 2.56, 2.10, 0.44, 2.93, 2.45 and 3.23 μg l−1 for Zn, Mn, Ni, Pb, Cd, Cu, Fe and Co, respectively. The enrichment on AXAD-16-HIMB coupled with flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) monitoring is used to determine the metal ion ions in river and synthetic water samples, Co in vitamin tablets and Zn in powdered milk samples.  相似文献

Laser sampling inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry has been used for the quantitative determination of trace elements to characterize annual growth rings of trees. The elements studied are Mg, Al, Ca, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Sr, Cd, Ba, Tl, Pb, Bi and U. Cellulose mixed with multielement standard solution pressed into pellets were used for the calibration. Using internal standardization with 12C the precision is typically better than 10% relative standard deviation. The limits of detection were limited by the purity of the cellulose. Analytical figures of merit and the analytical results are discussed in terms of environmental analysis.  相似文献

The selection of the most suitable dilution methods for determination of trace elements in human serum using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is reported. The trace elements were Al, V, Cr, Fe, Mn, Co, Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Sn, Tl, and Pb. The performance of various dilution methods was assessed by precision, linearity, detection limits, quantification limits, fortified recoveries, and the analysis of reference materials. The results demonstrate that diluted solution containing only nitric acid is most suitable for As, Cr, Mn, and Co in serum. Dilute solutions containing nitric acid and Triton X-100 were most appropriate for Cu, Zn, Cd, and Tl. The optimum conditions for Al, V, Mn, Fe, Cr, Co, Sn, and Pb used tetra-n-butylammonium hydroxide, Triton X-100, and ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid.  相似文献
