The flow arising in an incompressible liquid if, at the initial moment of time, a plate of finite length starts to move with a constant velocity in its plane, is discussed. For the case of an infinite plate, there is a simple exact solution of the Navier—Stokes equations, obtained by Rayleigh. The case of the motion of a semiinfinite plate has also been discussed by a number of authors. Approximate solutions have been obtained in a number of statements; for the complete unsteadystate equations of the boundary layer the statement was investigated by Stewartson (for example, [1–3]); a numerical solution of the problem by an unsteady-state method is given in [4]. The main stress in the present work is laid on investigation of the region of the interaction between a nonviscous flow and the boundary layer near the end of a plate. In passing, a solution of the problem is obtained for a wake, and a new numerical solution is also given for the boundary layer at the plate.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 3–8, March–April, 1977.  相似文献

One-dimensional nonstationary similarity motions of a gas with exothermic reactions behind shock waves are analyzed. The thickness of the region of chemical reactions is ignored. New solutions are obtained for the problems of flows of a chemically active gas with the formation of shock and detonation waves. In particular, it is shown that in the framework of the adopted schemes of the combustion process a solution with five strong-discontinuity surfaces can be constructed. The results are given of numerical solutions for supercompression detonation and Chapman-Jouguet detonation.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 70–77, July–August, 1979.  相似文献

A study is made of plane laminar Couette flow, in which foreign particles are injected through the upper boundary. The effect of the particles on friction and heat transfer is analyzed on the basis of the equations of two-fluid theory. A two-phase boundary layer on a plate has been considered in [1, 2] with the effect of the particles on the gas flow field neglected. A solution has been obtained in [3] for a laminar boundary layer on a plate with allowance for the dynamic and thermal effects of the particles on the gas parameters. There are also solutions for the case of the impulsive motion of a plate in a two-phase medium [4–6], and local rotation of the particles is taken into account in [5, 6]. The simplest model accounting for the effect of the particles on friction and heat transfer for the general case, when the particles are not in equilibrium with the gas at the outer edge of the boundary layer, is Couette flow. This type of flow with particle injection and a fixed surface has been considered in [7] under the assumptions of constant gas viscosity and the simplest drag and heat-transfer law. A solution for an accelerated Couette flow without particle injection and with a wall has been obtained in [6]. In the present paper fairly general assumptions are used to obtain a numerical solution of the problem of two-phase Couette flow with particle injection, and simple formulas useful for estimating the effect of the particles on friction and heat transfer are also obtained.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 42–46, May–June, 1976.  相似文献

The plane steady problem of the flow of a viscous wall jet past a smoothed break in the contour of a body is considered. For convenience, the flow in the neighborhood of the junction between two flat plates inclined at an angle to each other is chosen for study. As a result of the small extent of the region investigated the flow field is divided into two layers: the main part of the jet, which undergoes inviscid rotation, and a thin sublayer at the wall, which ensures the satisfaction of the no-slip condition. Particular interest attaches to the flow regime in which the solution in the sublayer satisfies the Prandtl boundary layer equations with a given pressure gradient. A similar problem was studied in [1–4]. The present case is distinguished by the structure of the free interaction region in a small neighborhood of the point of zero surface friction stress. By means of the method of matched asymptotic expansions, applied to the analysis of the Navier-Stokes equations, it is established that the interaction mechanism is that described in [5–7]. As a result, an integrodifferential equation describing the behavior of the surface friction stress function is obtained. A numerical solution of this equation is presented. The range of plate angles on which solutions of the equation obtained exist and, therefore, flows of this general type are realized is determined. The essential nonuniqueness of the possible solutions is established, and in particular attention is drawn to the possible existence of six permissible friction distributions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 38–45, January–February, 1986.The author wishes to thank V. The flow structure behind the separation point of a laminar boundary layer in a supersonic stream has been investigated. Analytic and numerical solutions are obtained for simple semiinfinite separation zones starting from the leading edge or a point on the smooth surface. The question of the pressure plateau in a separation zone of finite length is discussed and its value is calculated on the basis of asymptotic theory. The asymptotic theory of flow [1, 2] in the neighborhood of the separation point of the laminar boundary layer in a supersonic gas stream (region of free interaction) is employed. The local solution obtained is subsequently used to construct the flow pattern in the separation zone [3]. An analysis is made of the behavior of the solution for the free-interaction region on transition to the region of reverse flows. The results make it possible actually to compute (in the first approximation) the pressure in the plateau region after establishing the mathematical significance of this concept, previously introduced on the basis of the experimental results. At the same time relatively simple solutions are obtained for semiinfinite separation zones.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 19–25, May–June, 1971.  相似文献

The flow around the afterbody of a plate of finite thickness in a supersonic gas stream is investigated on the basis of a numerical solution of the time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations for a compressible viscous heat-conducting gas. The change in the flow pattern with the onset of transverse slot injection from the body surface in the vicinity of the base section is studied. For constant supersonic injection, both steady and unsteady flow regimes could be obtained depending on the values of certain relevant parameters.Moscow. Inverse boundary-value problems of determining the slope of an earth-fill dam (or its core) for which the local seepage strength conditions are exactly satisfied over the entire face, with no unnecessary margin, are formulated. Variants of these conditions are examined for cases of suffosion (undermining), local slip and contact suffosion. The shape of the boundary of the region in the velocity hodograph plane is established and the possibility of using it to construct a solution is demonstrated. Analytical and numerical methods of solution are proposed and justified. It is shown that problems with a condition similar to that associated with slip can be solved by Polubarinova-Kochina's analytical method [5]. For a number of special cases solutions are obtained in explicit form and the results of numerical calculations are presented.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, 101–107, May–June, 1987.  相似文献

The interaction between a laminar mixing region and an outer flow is considered in the hypersonic approximation in terms of pressure. The dividing streamline is found under the condition that the induced pressure is the same on both sides of the mixing region [1]. Analytic solutions are obtained for the displacement thickness, the dividing streamline, and the induced pressure in the asymptotic regions of weak and strong interaction by using the local similarity approximation, which has been justified for mixed flows in [2]. The interaction parameter is determined.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 147–150, January–February, 1976.The author thanks I. N. Murzinov and V. Self-similar solutions are obtained in [1, 2] to the Navier-Stokes equations in gaps with completely porous boundaries and with Reynolds number tending to infinity. Approximate asymptotic solutions are also known for the Navier-Stokes equations for plane and annular gaps in the neighborhood of the line of spreading of the flow [3, 4]. A number of authors [5–8] have discovered and studied the effect of increase in the stability of a laminar flow regime in channels of the type considered and a significant increase in the Reynolds number of the transition from the laminar regime to the turbulent in comparison with the flow in a pipe with impermeable walls. In the present study a numerical solution is given to the system of Navier-Stokes equations for plane and annular gaps with a single porous boundary in the neighborhood of the line of spreading of the flow on a section in which the values of the local Reynolds number definitely do not exceed the critical values [5–8]. Generalized dependences are obtained for the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the impermeable boundary. A comparison is made between the solutions so obtained and the exact solutions to the boundary layer equations.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 21–24, January–February, 1987.  相似文献

The case of supersonic flow over a blunt body when another gas is injected through the surface of the body in accordance with a given law is theoretically investigated. If molecular transport processes are neglected, the flow between the shock wave and the surface of the body should be regarded as two-layer, that is, as consisting of the flow in the shock layer between the shock wave and the contact surface and the flow in the layer of injected gas. A numerical solution of the problem is obtained near the front of the body and its accuracy is estimated. Approximate analytic solutions are obtained in the injected-gas layer: a constant-density solution and a solution of the boundary-layer type in the local similarity approximation. Near the flow axis the numerical and analytic solutions are fairly close, but at a distance from the axis the assumptions made reduce the accuracy of the approximate solutions. The flow in question can serve as a gas-dynamic model of a series of problems describing the radiant heating of blunt bodies in a hypersonic flow. In the presence of intense radiative heat transfer, vaporization is so great that the thickness of the vapor layer is comparable with the thickness of the shock layer. Moreover, the thermal shielding of various kinds of obstacles in channels through which a radiating plasma flows can be organized by means of the forced injection of a strong absorber. The formulation of a similar problem was reported in [1], but the results of the solution were not given. A two-layer model of the flow of an ideal gas over a blunt body was used in [2, 3] for the analysis of radiative heat transfer. In [2] the neighborhood of the stagnation point is considered. In [3] preliminary results relating to two-layer flow over blunt cones are presented. The solution is obtained by Maslen's approximate method.Moscow. Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR. The article gives relationships which, within the framework of the theory of an ideal liquid, permit calculating breakaway flow around bodies of arbitrary form. It gives examples of the calculation, by numerical methods using a digital computer, of the flow of a flat stream around a round cylinder and a flat plate. The results obtained are in agreement with the experimental data in the self-similar region.Moscow. Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR. In the present work, the effect of mixed convection about vertical surfaces on the phenomenon of melting process in a fluid-saturated porous medium is analyzed on the basis of boundary layer approximations. Similarity solutions are obtained for aiding external flow. The final similarity equations are integrated numerically by use of the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method. Results are reported for the flow and thermal fields in the melt region. The melting phenomenon decreases the local Nusselt number at the solid–liquid interface.  相似文献

A method of calculating the plane turbulent layer behind a step interacting with a free potential flow of incompressible fluid is developed. The method includes consideration of the initial boundary layer and injection (or suction) in the isobaric bottom region. Friction on the wall behind the step is neglected, which corresponds to symmetric quasisteady flow behind the straight edge of a plate. The inviscid flow is represented by the Keldysh-Sedov integral equations; the flow in the wake with a one-parameter velocity profile is represented by three first-order differential equations—the equations of momentum for the wake and motion along its axis and the equation of interaction (through the displacement thickness) of the viscous flow with the external potential flow. The turbulent friction in the wake is given, accurate to the single empirical constant, by the Prandtl equation. The different flow regions — on the plate behind the step, the isobaric bottom region, and the wake region — are joined with the aid of the quasi-one-dimensional momentum equation for viscous flow. The momentum equation for the flow as a whole serves as the closure condition. The obtained integrodifferential system of equations is approximated by a system of nonlinear finite-difference equations, whose solution is obtained on a computer by minimization of the sum of the squares of the discrepancies. The results of the calculations agree satisfactorily with experimental data.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 17–25, May–June, 1977.We are grateful to V. Direct numerical modeling based on a net method is used to investigate the convective flow of a viscous compressible gas in a closed square region heated from below. The complete Navier-Stokes equations and some simplified models of the type of Boussinesq equations are used. The influence of the hydrostatic compressibility on the bifurcation of the solutions is investigated. A definition of the Rayleigh number that makes it possible to match results obtained using different models is proposed.Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Akademii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 163–166, May–June, 1993.  相似文献

The paper studies axisymmetric resonance vibrations of an elastic circular sandwich plate under local periodic surface loads of rectangular, sinusoidal, and parabolic forms. The hypotheses of broken normal are used to describe the kinematics of the plate, which is asymmetric in thickness. The core is assumed to be light. The initial–boundary-value problems are solved analytically. The solutions are analyzed  相似文献

The article discusses solutions of the equations of the hypersonic boundary layer on an axisymmetric offset slender body (with a power exponent equal to 3/4), taking account of interactions with a nonviscous flow. It is shown that, in this case, the equations of the boundary layer have solutions differing from the self-similar solution corresponding to flow around a semi-infinite body. The solutions obtained are analogous to solutions for a strong interaction on a plate with slipping and triangular vanes [1–4], but are obtained over a wide range of values of the parameter of viscous interaction. An asymptotic solution is given to the problem with the approach to zero of the interaction parameter.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 41–47, September–October, 1973.The authors thank V. A study is made of the three-dimensional flow of a viscous gas around a flat plate with an inflection in the generator of the leading edge in the case of strong interaction between the exterior hypersonic flow and the boundary layer. Numerical solutions to the problem are obtained. It is shown that near points of inflection of the profile of the leading edge of a flat wing strong self-induced secondary flows can be formed together with associated local peaks of the heat fluxes and the friction.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 40–45, May–June, 1980.  相似文献

Steady-state viscous incompressible fluid flow past an axisymmetric slender body is considered at high Reynolds numbers in the regime with vanishing surface friction in a certain cross-section. In a small neighborhood of this cross-section interaction between the boundary layer flow and the external irrotational stream develops. In order to study the structure of the three-dimensional flow with local separation zones it is assumed that there is three-dimensional roughness on the surface of the body with the scale of the interaction zone. For this zone a numerical solution of the problem is obtained and its nonuniqueness is established. The surface friction line (limiting streamline) patterns with their inherent features are constructed.Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Akademii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 67–79, May–June, 1995.Thus, on the basis of the asymptotic marginal separation theory it is possible to obtain fairly simple solutions describing flows with a complex surface friction line structure.  相似文献

The effect of viscosity on the carrying properties of hypersonic aircraft appears at great flight altitudes, where an important factor is the interaction of the laminar boundary layer with inviscid flow. In the present study the method of bands is used to make an approximate calculation of this effect for a regime of weak viscous interaction [1]. The results of [2] are used for conditions of inviscid flow round a body. The local coefficient of friction and coefficients of the additional pressure induced by the boundary layer are determined from the data for a plate of infinite width [3]. Simple relationships are obtained which make it possible to estimate the effect of viscosity on the magnitude of the maximum lift-drag ratio and the value of the angle of attack corresponding to it. The results are given of an experimental study of hypersonic flow round a plane triangular wing in a broad range of Reynolds numbers, and these confirm the relationships obtained and indicate the region in which they are applicable.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 149–152, November–December, 1988.  相似文献

The spatio-temporal dynamics of small disturbances in viscous supersonic flow over a blunt flat plate at freestream Mach number M=2.5 is numerically simulated using a spectral approximation to the Navier–Stokes equations. The unsteady solutions are computed by imposing weak acoustic waves onto the steady base flow. In addition, the unsteady response of the flow to velocity perturbations introduced by local suction and blowing through a slot in the body surface is investigated. The results indicate distinct disturbance/shock-wave interactions in the subsonic region around the leading edge for both types of forcing. While the disturbance amplitudes on the wall retain a constant level for the acoustic perturbation, those generated by local suction and blowing experience a strong decay downstream of the slot. Furthermore, the results prove the importance of the shock in the distribution of perturbations, which have their origin in the leading-edge region. These disturbance waves may enter the boundary layer further downstream to excite instability modes.  相似文献
