In this paper we deal with fixed point computational problems by strongly convergent methods involving strictly pseudocontractive mappings in smooth Banach spaces. First, we prove that the S-iteration process recently introduced by Sahu in [14] converges strongly to a unique fixed point of a mapping T, where T is κ-strongly pseudocontractive mapping from a nonempty, closed and convex subset C of a smooth Banach space into itself. It is also shown that the hybrid steepest descent method converges strongly to a unique solution of a variational inequality problem with respect to a finite family of λi-strictly pseudocontractive mappings from C into itself. Our results extend and improve some very recent theorems in fixed point theory and variational inequality problems. Particularly, the results presented here extend some theorems of Reich (1980) [1] and Yamada (2001) [15] to a general class of λ-strictly pseudocontractive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces.  相似文献

The notion of a bead metric space defined here (see Definition 6) is a nice generalization of that of the uniformly convex normed space. In turn, the idea of a central point for a mapping when combined with the “single central point” property of the bead spaces enables us to obtain strong and elegant extensions of the Browder-Göhde-Kirk fixed point theorem for nonexpansive mappings (see Theorems 14-17). Their proofs are based on a very simple reasoning. We also prove two theorems on continuous selections for metric and Hilbert spaces. They are followed by fixed point theorems of Schauder type. In the final part we obtain a result on nonempty intersection.  相似文献

Towards Lim
The paper contains an elegant extension of the Nadler fixed point theorem for multivalued contractions (see Theorem 21). It is based on a new idea of the α-step mappings (see Definition 17) being more efficient than α-contractions. In the present paper this theorem is a tool in proving some fixed point theorems for “nonexpansive” mappings in the bead spaces (metric spaces that, roughly speaking, are modelled after convex sets in uniformly convex spaces). More precisely the mappings are nonexpansive on a set with respect to only one point - the centre of this set (see condition (4)). The results are pretty general. At first we assume that the value of the mapping under consideration at this central point looks “sharp” (see Definition 6). This idea leads to a group of theorems (based on Theorem 7). Their proofs are compact and the theorems, in particular, are natural extensions of the classical results for (usual) nonexpansive mappings. In the second part we apply the idea of Lim to investigate the regular sequences and here the proofs are based on our extension of Nadler's Theorem. In consequence we obtain some fixed point theorems that generalise the classical Lim Theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings (see e.g. Theorem 26).  相似文献

In this paper, a kind of Ishikawa type iterative scheme with errors for approximating a common fixed point of two sequences of uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings is introduced and studied in convex metric spaces. Under some suitable conditions, the convergence theorems concerned with the Ishikawa type iterative scheme with errors to approximate a common fixed point of two sequences of uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings were proved in convex metric spaces. The results presented in the paper generalize and improve some recent results of Wang and Liu (C. Wang, L.W. Liu, Convergence theorems for fixed points of uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings in convex metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal., TMA 70 (2009), 2067-2071).  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new iterative procedure which is constructed by the shrinking hybrid projection method for solving the common solution of fixed point problems for two total quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive multi-valued mappings. Under suitable conditions, the strong convergence theorems are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex real Banach space with Kadec-Klee property. Our result improves and extends the corresponding ones announced by some authors.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to propose a modified block iterative algorithm for find a common element of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and the set of an equilibrium problem. Under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space with the Kadec-Klee property. As an application, at the end of the paper a numerical example is given. The results presented in the paper improve and extend the corresponding results in Qin et al. In this paper we propose a notion of coincidence point between mappings in any number of variables and we prove some existence and uniqueness fixed point theorems for nonlinear mappings verifying different kinds of contractive conditions and defined on partially ordered metric spaces. These theorems extend and clarify very recent results that can be found in [T. Gnana-Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (7)(2006) 1379–1393], [V. Berinde, M. Borcut, Tripled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011) 4889–4897] and [M. Berzig, B. Samet, An extension of coupled fixed point’s concept in higher dimension and applications, Comput. Math. Appl. 63 (8) (2012) 1319–1334].  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of common limit range property (CLR property) for two hybrid pairs of mappings in fuzzy metric spaces, and we prove common fixed point theorems using (CLR) property for these mappings with implicit relation. Our results extend some known results to multi-valued arena. Also, we prove common fixed point theorem in fuzzy metric spaces satisfying an integral type.  相似文献

In this paper we first prove some coincidence and fixed point theorems for nonlinear hybrid generalized contractions on metric spaces. Secondly, using the concept of an asymptotically regular sequence, we give some fixed point theorems for Kannan type multi-valued mappings on metric spaces. Our main results improve and extend several known results proved by other authors.  相似文献

We study the existence of fixed points in the context of uniformly convex geodesic metric spaces, hyperconvex spaces and Banach spaces for single and multivalued mappings satisfying conditions that generalize the concept of nonexpansivity. Besides, we use the fixed point theorems proved here to give common fixed point results for commuting mappings.  相似文献

Let X be a uniformly convex Banach space with the Opial property. Let T:CC be an asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mapping, where C is bounded, closed and convex subset of X. In this paper, we prove that the generalized Mann and Ishikawa processes converge weakly to a fixed point of T. In addition, we prove that for compact asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mappings acting in uniformly convex Banach spaces, both processes converge strongly to a fixed point.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish coincidence and common fixed point theorems for contractive mappings on a metric space endowed with an amorphous binary relation. The presented theorems extend the results of Samet and Turinici in [Commun. Math. Anal. 12 (2012), 82– 97] and generalize many existing results on metric and ordered metric spaces. We apply also our main results to derive coincidence and common fixed point theorems for cyclic contractive mappings.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for generalized contractions in the setting of G-metric spaces. Our results extend a result of Edelstein [M. Edelstein, On fixed and periodic points under contractive mappings, J. London Math. Soc., 37 (1962), 74–79] and a result of Suzuki [T. Suzuki, A new type of fixed point theorem in metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal., 71 (2009), 5313–5317]. We prove, also, a fixed point theorem in the setting of G-cone metric spaces.  相似文献

We obtain necessary conditions for the existence of fixed point and approximate fixed point of nonexpansive and asymptotically nonexpansive maps defined on a closed bounded convex subset of a uniformly convex complete metric space and study the structure of the set of fixed points. We construct Mann type iterative sequences in convex metric space and study its convergence. As a consequence of fixed point results, we prove best approximation results. We also prove Kantorovich-Rubinstein maximum principle in convex metric spaces.  相似文献

We introduce a modified block hybrid projection algorithm for finding a common element of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of closed and uniformly quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings, the set of the variational inequality for an α-inverse-strongly monotone operator, the set of solutions of the mixed equilibrium problems. Then, we obtain strong convergence theorems for the sequences generated by this process in a 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space. Our results extend and improve ones from several earlier works.  相似文献
