In this paper, the quadratic Riccati differential equation is solved by means of an analytic technique, namely the homotopy analysis method (HAM). Comparisons are made between Adomian’s decomposition method (ADM), homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and the exact solution and the homotopy analysis method. The results reveal that the proposed method is very effective and simple.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to implement Adomian–Pade (Modified Adomian–Pade) technique, which is a combination of Adomian decomposition method (Modified Adomian decomposition method) and Pade approximation, for solving linear and nonlinear systems of Volterra functional equations. The results obtained by using Adomian–Pade (Modified Adomian–Pade) technique, are compared to those obtained by using Adomian decomposition method (Modified Adomian decomposition method) alone. The numerical results, demonstrate that ADM–PADE (MADM–PADE) technique, gives the approximate solution with faster convergence rate and higher accuracy than using the standard ADM (MADM).  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the n-term linear fractional-order differential equation with constant coefficients and obtain the solution of this kind of fractional differential equations by Adomian decomposition method. With the equivalent transmutation, we show that the solution by Adomian decomposition method is the same as the solution by the Green's function. Finally, we illustrate our result with some examples.  相似文献

In this work we will discuss the solution of an initial value problem of parabolic type. The main objective is to propose an alternative method of solution, one not based on finite difference or finite element or spectral methods. The aim of the present paper is to investigate the application of the Adomian decomposition method for solving the Fokker–Planck equation and some similar equations. This method can successfully be applied to a large class of problems. The Adomian decomposition method needs less work in comparison with the traditional methods. This method decreases considerable volume of calculations. The decomposition procedure of Adomian will be obtained easily without linearizing the problem by implementing the decomposition method rather than the standard methods for the exact solutions. In this approach the solution is found in the form of a convergent series with easily computed components. In this work we are concerned with the application of the decomposition method for the linear and nonlinear Fokker–Planck equation. To give overview of methodology, we have presented several examples in one and two dimensional cases.  相似文献

The Adomian decomposition method is considered in application to heat and wave equations. The so-called partial solution technique is used. It is shown that the fundamental equation of the method is well defined only for certain types of boundary conditions. In cases involving inhomogeneous boundary conditions, improper results may be obtained by former method. This paper presents a further insight into partial solutions in the decomposition method, and the resolution of such cases.  相似文献

We are concerned here with a nonlinear quadratic integral equation (QIE). The existence of a unique solution will be proved. Convergence analysis of Adomian decomposition method (ADM) applied to these type of equations is discussed. Convergence analysis is reliable enough to estimate the maximum absolute truncated error of Adomian’s series solution. Two methods are used to solve these type of equations; ADM and repeated trapezoidal method. The obtained results are compared.  相似文献

In this paper, a scheme is developed to study numerical solution of the space- and time-fractional Burgers equations with initial conditions by the variational iteration method (VIM). The exact and numerical solutions obtained by the variational iteration method are compared with that obtained by Adomian decomposition method (ADM). The results show that the variational iteration method is much easier, more convenient, and more stable and efficient than Adomian decomposition method. Numerical solutions are calculated for the fractional Burgers equation to show the nature of solution as the fractional derivative parameter is changed.  相似文献

In this paper we present a new technique to get the solutions of inhomogeneous differential equations using Adomian decomposition method (ADM) without noise terms. We construct an appropriate differential equations for the inhomogeneity function which must be contains the integral variable, and convert all of these differential equations (original differential equation and the constructed differential equations) to augmented system of first-order differential equations. The ADM is using to solve the augmented system and the initial conditions are taken as initial approximations. Generally, the closed form of the exact solution or its expansion is obtained without any noise terms. Several differential equations will be tested to confirm the newly developed technique.  相似文献

The variational iteration method (VIM) has been applied to solve many functional equations. In this article, this method is applied to obtain an approximate solution for the Telegraph equation. Some examples are presented to show the ability of the proposed method. The results of applying VIM are exactly the same as those obtained by Adomian decomposition method. It seems less computation is needed in proposed method.© 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq, 2009  相似文献

The Adomian decomposition method and the asymptotic decomposition method give the near-field approximate solution and far-field approximate solution, respectively, for linear and nonlinear differential equations. The Padé approximants give solution continuation of series solutions, but the continuation is usually effective only on some finite domain, and it can not always give the asymptotic behavior as the independent variables approach infinity. We investigate the global approximate solution by matching the near-field approximation derived from the Adomian decomposition method with the far-field approximation derived from the asymptotic decomposition method for linear and nonlinear differential equations. For several examples we find that there exists an overlap between the near-field approximation and the far-field approximation, so we can match them to obtain a global approximate solution. For other nonlinear examples where the series solution from the Adomian decomposition method has a finite convergent domain, we can match the Padé approximant of the near-field approximation with the far-field approximation to obtain a global approximate solution representing the true, entire solution over an infinite domain.  相似文献

Non-linear PDEs are systematically solved by the decomposition method of Adomian for general boundary conditions described by boundary operator equations. In the present case the solution of the non-linear Klein–Gordon equation has been considered as an illustration of the decomposition method of Adomian.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply a piecewise finite series as a hybrid analytical-numerical technique for solving some nonlinear systems of ordinary differential equations. The finite series is generated by using the Adomian decomposition method, which is an analytical method that gives the solution based on a power series and has been successfully used in a wide range of problems in applied mathematics. We study the influence of the step size and the truncation order of the piecewise finite series Adomian (PFSA) method on the accuracy of the solutions when applied to nonlinear ODEs. Numerical comparisons between the PFSA method with different time steps and truncation orders against Runge-Kutta type methods are presented. Based on the numerical results we propose a low value truncation order approach with small time step size. The numerical results show that the PFSA method is accurate and easy to implement with the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the Adomian decomposition method and Padé-approximate to solving the differential-difference equations (DDEs) for the first time. A simple but typical example is used to illustrate the validity and the great potential of the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) in solving DDEs. Comparisons are made between the results of the proposed method and exact solutions. The results show that ADM is an attractive method in solving the differential-difference equations.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel Adomian decomposition method (ADM) is developed for the solution of Burgers' equation. While high level of this method for differential equations are found in the literature, this work covers most of the necessary details required to apply ADM for partial differential equations. The present ADM has the capability to produce three different types of solutions, namely, explicit exact solution, analytic solution, and semi-analytic solution. In the best cases, when a closed-form solution exists, ADM is able to capture this exact solution, while most of the numerical methods can only provide an approximation solution. The proposed ADM is validated using different test cases dealing with inviscid and viscous Burgers' equations. Satisfactory results are obtained for all test cases, and, particularly, results reported in this paper agree well with those reported by other researchers.  相似文献

This paper uses the sinc methods to construct a solution of the Laplace’s equation using two solutions of the heat equation. A numerical approximation is obtained with an exponential accuracy. We also present a reliable algorithm of Adomian decomposition method to construct a numerical solution of the Laplace’s equation in the form a rapidly convergence series and not at grid points. Numerical examples are given and comparisons are made to the sinc solution with the Adomian decomposition method. The comparison shows that the Adomian decomposition method is efficient and easy to use.  相似文献

This article aims to establish a semi-analytical approach based on the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) to find the closed form or approximated solutions for the population balance equations such as Smoluchowski"s coagulation, fragmentation, coupled coagulation-fragmentation and bivariate coagulation equations. An accelerated form of the HPM is combined with the Elzaki transformation to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the method. One of the significant advantages of the technique lies over the classic numerical methods as it allows solving the linear and non-linear differential equations without discretization. Further, it has benefits over the existing semi-analytical techniques such as Adomian decomposition method (ADM), optimized decomposition method (ODM), and homotopy analysis method (HAM) in the sense that computation of Adomian polynomials and convergence parameters are not required. The novelty of the scheme is shown by comparing the numerical findings with the existing results obtained via ADM, HPM, HAM and ODM for non-linear coagulation equation. This motivates us to extend the scheme for solving the other models mentioned above. The supremacy of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by taking several numerical examples for each problem. The error between exact and series solutions provided in graphs and tables show the accuracy and applicability of the method. In addition to this, convergence of the series solution is also the key attraction of the work.  相似文献

In this paper, Adomian’s decomposition method is proposed to solve the well-known Blasius equation. Comparison with homotopy perturbation method and Howarth’s numerical solution reveals that the Adomian’s decomposition method is of high accuracy.  相似文献

In the paper, we implement relatively new analytical techniques, the variational iteration method, the Adomian decomposition method and the homotopy perturbation method, for obtaining a rational approximation solution of the fractional Sharma–Tasso–Olever equation. The three methods in applied mathematics can be used as alternative methods for obtaining an analytic and approximate solution for different types of differential equations. In these schemes, the solution takes the form of a convergent series with easily computable components. The numerical results demonstrate the significant features, efficiency and reliability of the three approaches.  相似文献

In this paper, Adomian’s decomposition method is used to solve non-linear differential equations which arise in fluid dynamics. We study basic flow problems of a third grade non-Newtonian fluid between two parallel plates separated by a finite distance. The technique of Adomian decomposition is successfully applied to study the problem of a non-Newtonian plane Couette flow, fully developed plane Poiseuille flow and plane Couette–Poiseuille flow. The results obtained show the reliability and efficiency of this analytical method. Numerical solutions are also obtained by solving non-linear ordinary differential equations using Chebyshev spectral method. We present a comparative study between the analytical solutions and numerical solutions. The analytical results are found to be in good agreement with numerical solutions which reveals the effectiveness and convenience of the Adomian decomposition method.  相似文献
