This paper studies the global existence and regularity of classical solutions to the 2D incompressible magneto-micropolar equations with partial dissipation. The magneto-micropolar equations model the motion of electrically conducting micropolar fluids in the presence of a magnetic field. When there is only partial dissipation, the global regularity problem can be quite difficult. We are able to single out three special partial dissipation cases and establish the global regularity for each case. As special consequences, the 2D Navier-Stokes equations, the 2D magnetohydrodynamic equations, and the 2D micropolar equations with several types of partial dissipation always possess global classical solutions. The proofs of our main results rely on anisotropic Sobolev type inequalities and suitable combination and cancellation of terms.  相似文献

We study the global existence and regularity of classical solutions to the 2D incompressible magneto‐micropolar equations with partial dissipation. We establish the global regularity for one partial dissipation case. The proofs of our main results rely on anisotropic Sobolev type inequalities and suitable combination and cancellation of terms.  相似文献

The incompressible Boussinesq equations not only have many applications in modeling fluids and geophysical fluids but also are mathematically important. The well-posedness and related problem on the Boussinesq equations have recently attracted considerable interest. This paper examines the global regularity issue on the 2D Boussinesq equations with fractional Laplacian dissipation and thermal diffusion. Attention is focused on the case when the thermal diffusion dominates. We establish the global well-posedness for the 2D Boussinesq equations with a new range of fractional powers of the Laplacian.  相似文献

Whether or not classical solutions of the 2D incompressible MHD equations without full dissipation and magnetic diffusion can develop finite-time singularities is a difficult issue. A major result of this paper establishes the global regularity of classical solutions for the MHD equations with mixed partial dissipation and magnetic diffusion. In addition, the global existence, conditional regularity and uniqueness of a weak solution is obtained for the 2D MHD equations with only magnetic diffusion.  相似文献

This paper aims at the global regularity of classical solutions to the 2D Boussinesq equations with vertical dissipation and vertical thermal diffusion. We prove that the Lr-norm of the vertical velocity v for any 1<r<∞ is globally bounded and that the L-norm of v controls any possible breakdown of classical solutions. In addition, we show that an extra thermal diffusion given by the fractional Laplace δ(−Δ) for δ>0 would guarantee the global regularity of classical solutions.  相似文献

This paper is dedicated to establishing the global regularity for the two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with fractional anisotropic dissipation when the fractional powers are restricted to some certain ranges. In addition, the global regularity results for the two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with partial dissipation are also obtained. Consequently, these results bring us more closer to the resolution of the global regularity problem on the two dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with standard Laplacian magnetic diffusion.  相似文献

The micropolar equations are a useful generalization of the classical Navier–Stokes model for fluids with microstructure. We prove the existence of global and strong solutions to these equations in cylindrical domains in . We do not impose any restrictions on the magnitude of the initial and external data, but we require that they cannot change in the x3‐direction too fast. For the 3D incompressible Hall magneto-hydrodynamics equations, global regularity of the weak solutions is not established so far. The major difficulty is that the dissipation given by the Laplacian operator is insufficient to control the nonlinearities. Wan obtained the global regularities of the 3D generalized Hall-MHD equations with critical and subcritical hyperdissipation in ({\em Global regularity for generalized Hall-magnetohydrodynamics systems}, Electron. J. Differential Equations, 2015, 2015(179), 1--18). We improve this slightly by making logarithmic reductions in the dissipation and still obtain the global regularity.  相似文献

This paper deals with the local existence and uniqueness of strong solutions for the generalized Boussinesq equations with fractional dissipation. As a corollary, we establish some regularity criteria to guarantee smoothness of solutions.  相似文献

This paper is dedicated to the Oldroyd‐B model with fractional dissipation (?Δ)ατ for any α > 0. We establish the global smooth solutions to the Oldroyd‐B model in the corotational case with arbitrarily small fractional powers of the Laplacian in two spatial dimensions. Moreover, in the Appendix, we provide some a priori estimates to the Oldroyd‐B model in the critical case, which may be useful and of interest for future improvement. Therefore, our result is closer to the resolution of the well‐known global regularity issue on the critical 2D Oldroyd‐B model. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We prove that the maximum norm of velocity gradients controls the possible breakdown of smooth (strong) solutions for the 3-dimensional viscous, compressible micropolar fluids. More precisely, if a solution of the system is initially regular and loses its regularity at some later time, then the loss of regularity implies the growth without the bound of the velocity gradients as the critical time approaches. Our result is a generalization of Huang et al. (2011) [13] from viscous barotropic flows to the viscous, compressible micropolar fluids. In addition, initial vacuum states are also allowed in our result.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the global existence of small classical solutions to the 3D generalized compressible Oldroyd-B system. It can be seen as compressible Euler equations coupling the evolution of stress tensor τ. The result mainly shows that singularity of solutions to compressible Euler equations can be prevented by the coupling of viscoelastic stress tensor. Moreover, unlike most complex fluids containing compressible Euler equations, the irrotational condition ∇×u=0 would not be proposed here to achieve the global well-posedness.  相似文献

Stationary statistical solutions of the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations for incompressible fluids are considered. They are a mathematical formalization of the notion of ensemble average for turbulent flows in statistical equilibrium in time. They are also a generalization of the notion of invariant measure to the case of the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations, for which a global uniqueness result is not known to exist and a semigroup may not be well-defined in the classical sense. The two classical definitions of stationary statistical solutions are considered and compared, one of them being a particular case of the other and possessing a number of useful properties. Furthermore, the so-called time-average stationary statistical solutions, obtained as generalized limits of time averages of weak solutions as the averaging time goes to infinity are shown to belong to this more restrictive class. A recurrent type result is also obtained for statistical solutions satisfying an accretion condition. Finally, the weak global attractor of the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations is considered, and in particular it is shown that there exists a topologically large subset of the weak global attractor which is of full measure with respect to that particular class of stationary statistical solutions and which has a certain regularity property.  相似文献

The global existence of smooth solutions to a class of quasilinear fractional evolution equations is proved. The proofs are based on Lp(Lq) L^p(L^q) maximal regularity results for the corresponding linear equations.  相似文献

In this study, the steady laminar free-forced convective flow and heat transfer of micropolar fluids past a vertical radiate isothermal permeable surface with viscous dissipation and Joule heating is investigated numerically. The local similarity solutions for the flow, microrotation (angular velocity) and heat transfer characteristics are illustrated graphically for various material parameters. The effects of the pertinent parameters on the local skin friction coefficient, plate couple stress and the rate of heat transfer are also calculated. It was shown that micropolar fluids presented lower viscous drag and heat transfer values than those of the Newtonian fluids. The effect of radiation on the rate of heat transfer in a weakly concentrated micropolar fluid is higher than a strongly concentrated micropolar fluid. Results also show that full radiation has significant effect on the rate of heat transfer compared to the linear radiation.  相似文献

We study the global regularity of classical solution to two‐and‐half‐dimensional magnetohydrodynamic equations with horizontal dissipation and horizontal magnetic diffusion. We prove that any possible finite time blow‐up can be controlled by the L‐norm of the vertical components. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet boundary problem for semilinear fractional Schrödinger equation with subcritical nonlinear term. Local and global in time solvability and regularity properties of solutions are discussed. But our main task is to describe the connections of the fractional equation with the classical nonlinear Schrödinger equation, including convergence of the linear semigroups and continuity of the nonlinear semigroups when the fractional exponent α approaches 1.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence and uniqueness of the global solutions to the initial boundary value problem for a generalized Zakharov system with direct self‐interaction of the dispersive waves and weak dissipation in the nondispersive subsystem. We prove the global existence of the generalized solution to the problem by a priori estimates and Galerkin method. We also establish the regularity of the global generalized solution and the existence and uniqueness of the global classical solution. Moreover, we obtain the convergence of the solutions of the generalized Zakharov system with dissipation as the dissipative coefficient approaches zero.  相似文献

We construct a family of finite energy classical solutions to the 3D MHD system with both Laplacian dissipation and magnetic diffusion. We choose the steady state Beltrami flows as the initial data and use a cut-off technique to obtain the global regularity for all time t.  相似文献

We prove a class of endpoint pointwise estimates for solutions to quasilinear, possibly degenerate elliptic equations in terms of linear and nonlinear potentials of Wolff type of the source term. Such estimates allow to bound size and oscillations of solutions and their gradients pointwise, and entail in a unified approach virtually all kinds of regularity properties in terms of the given datum and regularity of coefficients. In particular, local estimates in Hölder, Lipschitz, Morrey and fractional spaces, as well as Calderón–Zygmund estimates, follow as a corollary in a unified way. Moreover, estimates for fractional derivatives of solutions by mean of suitable linear and nonlinear potentials are also implied. The classical Wolff potential estimate by Kilpeläinen & Malý and Trudinger & Wang as well as recent Wolff gradient bounds for solutions to quasilinear equations embed in such a class as endpoint cases.  相似文献
