We investigate the existence of nonnegative weak solutions to the problem ut=Δ(um)−p|∇u| in Rn×(0,∞) with +(1−2/n)<m<1. It will be proved that: (i) When 1<p<2, if the initial datum u0D(Rn) then there exists a solution; (ii) When 1<p<(2+mn)/(n+1), if the initial datum u0(x) is a bounded and nonnegative measure then the solution exists; (iii) When (2+mn)/(n+1)?p<2, if the initial datum is a Dirac mass then the solution does not exist. We also study the large time behavior of the L1-norm of solutions for 1<p?(2+mn)/(n+1), and the large time behavior of t1/βu(⋅,t)−Ec(⋅,t)L for (2+mn)/(n+1)<p<2.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to investigate the behaviour as t of solutions to the Cauchy problem ut−△utvu−(b,u)=F(u),u(x,0)=u0(x), where v>0 is a fixed constant, t≥0, xΩ, Ω is a bounded domain in Rn. We will first establish an a priori estimate. Then, we establish the global existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence of the weak solution for the Sobolev-Galpern type equation with the Dirichlet boundary.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to prove the existence of a unique classical solution u(x) to the quasilinear elliptic equation −∇⋅(a(u)∇u)+v⋅∇u=f, where u(x0)=u0 at x0Ω and where n⋅∇u=g on the boundary ∂Ω. We prove that if the functions a, f, v, g satisfy certain conditions, then a unique classical solution u(x) exists. Applications include stationary heat/diffusion problems with convection and with a source/sink, where the value of the solution is known at a spatial location x0Ω, and where n⋅∇u is known on the boundary.  相似文献

We introduce a notion of entropy solution for a scalar conservation law on a bounded domain with nonhomogeneous boundary condition: ut+divΦ(u)=f on Q=(0,TΩ, u(0,⋅)=u0 on Ω and “u=a on some part of the boundary (0,T)×∂Ω.” Existence and uniqueness of the entropy solution is established for any ΦC(R;RN), u0L(Ω), fL(Q), aL((0,T)×∂Ω). In the L1-setting, a corresponding result is proved for the more general notion of renormalised entropy solution.  相似文献

For any −1<m<0, positive functions f, g and u0≥0, we prove that under some mild conditions on f, g and u0 as R the solution uR of the Dirichlet problem ut=(um/m)xx in (−R,R)×(0,), u(R,t)=(f(t)|m|R)1/m, u(−R,t)=(g(t)|m|R)1/m for all t>0, u(x,0)=u0(x) in (−R,R), converges uniformly on every compact subset of R×(0,T) to the solution of the equation ut=(um/m)xx in R×(0,T), u(x,0)=u0(x) in R, which satisfies some mass loss formula on (0,T) where T is the maximal time such that the solution u is positive. We also prove that the solution constructed is equal to the solution constructed in Hui (2007) [15] using approximation by solutions of the corresponding Neumann problem in bounded cylindrical domains.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of multiple positive solutions to some Hamiltonian elliptic systems −Δv=λu+up+εf(x), −Δu=μv+vq+δg(x) in Ω;u,v>0 in Ω; u=v=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN (N?3); 0?f, g∈L∞(Ω); 1/(p+1)+1/(q+1)=(N−2)/N, p,q>1; λ,μ>0. Using sub- and supersolution method and based on an adaptation of the dual variational approach, we prove the existence of at least two nontrivial positive solutions for all λ,μ∈(0,λ1) and ε,δ∈(0,δ0), where λ1 is the first eigenvalue of the Laplace operator −Δ with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions and δ0 is a positive number.  相似文献

The existence of local (in time) solutions of the initial-boundary value problem for the following degenerate parabolic equation: ut(x,t)−Δpu(x,t)−|u|q−2u(x,t)=f(x,t), (x,t)∈Ω×(0,T), where 2?p<q<+∞, Ω is a bounded domain in RN, is given and Δp denotes the so-called p-Laplacian defined by Δpu:=∇⋅(|∇u|p−2u), with initial data u0Lr(Ω) is proved under r>N(qp)/p without imposing any smallness on u0 and f. To this end, the above problem is reduced into the Cauchy problem for an evolution equation governed by the difference of two subdifferential operators in a reflexive Banach space, and the theory of subdifferential operators and potential well method are employed to establish energy estimates. Particularly, Lr-estimates of solutions play a crucial role to construct a time-local solution and reveal the dependence of the time interval [0,T0] in which the problem admits a solution. The Navier problem is to find a solution of the steady-state Navier-Stokes equations such that the normal component of the velocity and a linear combination of the tangential components of the velocity and the traction assume prescribed value a and s at the boundary. If Ω is exterior it is required that the velocity converges to an assigned constant vector u0 at infinity. We prove that a solution exists in a bounded domain provided ‖aL2(∂Ω) is less than a computable positive constant and is unique if ‖aW1/2,2(∂Ω)+‖sL2(∂Ω) is suitably small. As far as exterior domains are concerned, we show that a solution exists if ‖aL2(∂Ω)+‖au0nL2(∂Ω) is small.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the “triply” degenerate problem: bt(v)−Δg(v)+divΦ(v)=f on Q:=(0,TΩ, b(v(0,⋅))=b(v0) on Ω and “g(v)=g(a) on some part of the boundary (0,T)×∂Ω,” in the case of continuous nonhomogeneous and nonstationary boundary data a. The functions b,g are assumed to be continuous, locally Lipschitz, nondecreasing and to verify the normalization condition b(0)=g(0)=0 and the range condition R(b+g)=R. Using monotonicity and penalization methods, we prove existence of a weak renormalized entropy solution in the spirit of [K. Ammar, J. Carrillo, P. We study blow-up of radially symmetric solutions of the nonlinear heat equation utu+|u|p−1u either on RN or on a finite ball under the Dirichlet boundary conditions. We assume and that the initial data is bounded, possibly sign-changing. Our first goal is to establish various characterizations of type I and type II blow-ups. Among many other things we show that the following conditions are equivalent: (a) the blow-up is of type II; (b) the rescaled solution w(y,s) converges to either φ(y) or −φ(y) as s→∞, where φ denotes the singular stationary solution; (c) u(x,T)/φ(x) tends to ±1 as x→0, where T is the blow-up time.Our second goal is to study continuation beyond blow-up. Among other things we show that if a blow-up is of type I and incomplete, then its limit L1 continuation becomes smooth immediately after blow-up, and that type I blow-up implies “type I regularization,” that is, (tT)1/(p−1)u(⋅,t)L is bounded as tT. We also give various criteria for complete and incomplete blow-ups.  相似文献

We investigate qualitative properties of local solutions u(t,x)?0 to the fast diffusion equation, tu=Δ(um)/m with m<1, corresponding to general nonnegative initial data. Our main results are quantitative positivity and boundedness estimates for locally defined solutions in domains of the form [0,TΩ, with ΩRd. They combine into forms of new Harnack inequalities that are typical of fast diffusion equations. Such results are new for low m in the so-called very fast diffusion range, precisely for all m?mc=(d−2)/d. The boundedness statements are true even for m?0, while the positivity ones cannot be true in that range.  相似文献

We study the boundary value problem −div(log(1+q|∇u|)|∇u|p−2u)=f(u) in Ω, u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN with smooth boundary. We distinguish the cases where either f(u)=−λ|u|p−2u+|u|r−2u or f(u)=λ|u|p−2u−|u|r−2u, with p, q>1, p+q<min{N,r}, and r<(NpN+p)/(Np). In the first case we show the existence of infinitely many weak solutions for any λ>0. In the second case we prove the existence of a nontrivial weak solution if λ is sufficiently large. Almost all t-level sets Et of u are Cheeger sets and our estimates of u on the Cheeger set |E0| yield |B1|hN(B1)?|E0|hN(Ω), where B1 is the unit ball in RN. We construct spike layered solutions for the semilinear elliptic equation −ε2Δu+V(x)u=K(x)up−1 on a domain ΩRN which may be bounded or unbounded. The solutions concentrate simultaneously on a finite number of m-dimensional spheres in Ω. This paper is devoted to the existence and properties of solutions of the following class of nonlinear elliptic differential equations Δu(x)+f(x,u(x))+g(‖x‖)x⋅∇u(x)=0, xRn, ‖x‖>R. We prove existence of positive solutions vanishing at positive infinity. Our approach is based on the subsolution and supersolution method. The nonlinearity f covers both sublinear and superlinear cases and does not necessarily satisfy f(x,0)≡0. The asymptotic behavior of solutions is also described.  相似文献

Under some conditions related to the function F, we give a sufficient condition for existence and nonexistence of nonnegative blow-up solutions.
