Let C be an irreducible smooth projective curve, of genus at least two, defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. For a fixed line bundle L on C, let M C (r; L) be the coarse moduli space of semistable vector bundles E over C of rank r with ∧ r E = L. We show that the Brauer group of any desingularization of M C (r; L) is trivial.  相似文献

Let X be a projective variety with an action of a reductive group G. Each ample G-line bundle L on X defines an open subset Xss(L) of semi-stable points. Following Dolgachev and Hu, define a GIT-class as the set of algebraic equivalence classes of L's with fixed XssL. We show that the GIT-classes are the relative interiors of rational polyhedral convex cones, which form a fan in the G-ample cone. We also study the corresponding variations of quotients Xss(L)//G. This sharpens results of Thaddeus and Dolgachev-Hu.  相似文献

Let M n be a compact (two-sided) minimal hypersurface in a Riemannian manifold . It is a simple fact that if has positive Ricci curvature then M cannot be stable (i.e. its Jacobi operator L has index at least one). If is the unit sphere and L has index one, then it is known that M must be a totally geodesic equator.?We prove that if is the real projective space , obtained as a metric quotient of the unit sphere, and the Jacobi operator of M has index one, then M is either a totally geodesic sphere or the quotient to the projective space of the hypersurface obtained as the product of two spheres of dimensions n 1, n 2 and radius R 1, R 2, with and . Let M be a projective manifold, p: M G M a regular covering over M with a free Abelian transformation group G. We describe the holomorphic functions on M G of an exponential growth with respect to the distance defined by a metric pulled back from M. As a corollary, we obtain Cartwright and Liouville-type theorems for such functions. Our approach brings together the L 2 cohomology technique for holomorphic vector bundles on complete Kähler manifolds and the geometric properties of projective manifolds.  相似文献

Let A be an n × m matrix over GF 2 where each column consists of k ones, and let M be an arbitrary fixed binary matroid. The matroid growth rate theorem implies that there is a constant CM such that mCMn2 implies that the binary matroid induced by A contains M as a minor. Let M be a Cartan-Hadamard manifold of dimension d ≧ 3, let p ? M and x = exp {r(x)θ(x)} be geodesic polar coordinates with pole p and let X be the Brownian motion on M. Let SectM(x) denote the sectional curvature of any plane section in Mx. We prove that for each c > 2, there is a 0 < β < 1 such that if - L2r(x) ≦ SectM(x) ≦ -cr(x)?2 for all x in the complement of a compact set, then limt → ∞ θ(Xt) exists a.s. and defines a nontrivial invariant random variable. Let M n , n 3, be a complete oriented immersed minimal hypersurface in Euclidean space R n+1. We show that if the total scalar curvature on M is less than the n/2 power of 1/C s , where C s is the Sobolev constant for M, then there are no L 2 harmonic 1-forms on M. As corollaries, such a minimal hypersurface contains no nontrivial harmonic functions with finite Dirichlet integral and so it has only one end. This implies finally that M is a hyperplane.  相似文献

Let L be a Lie algebra, nilpotent of class 2, over an infinite field K, and suppose that the centre C of L is one dimensional; such Lie algebras are called Heisenberg algebras. Let ρ:L→hom KV be a finite dimensional representation of the Heisenberg algebra L such that ρ(C) contains non-singular linear transformations of V, and denote l(ρ) the ideal of identities for the representation ρ. We prove that the ideals of identities of representations containing I(ρ) and generated by multilinear polynomials satisfy the ACC. Let sl 2(L) be the Lie algebra of the traceless 2×2 matrices over K, and suppose the characteristic of K equals 2. As a corollary we obtain that the ideals of identities of representations of Lie algebras containing that of the regular representation of sl 2(K) and generated by multilinear polynomials, are finitely based. In addition we show that one cannot simply dispense with the condition of multilinearity. Namely, we show that the ACC is violated for the ideals of representations of Lie algebras (over an infinite field of characteristic 2) that contain the identities of the regular representation of sl 2(K).  相似文献

Let L be a finite dimensional Lie algebra. Then for a maximal subalgebra M of L, a 𝜃-completion for M is a subalgebra C of L such that CM and ML?C and CML contains no non-zero ideal of LML, properly. And a 𝜃-completion C of M is said to be a strong 𝜃-completion, if C = L or there exists a subalgebra B of L such that C be maximal in B and B is not a 𝜃-completion for M. These are analogous to the concepts of 𝜃-completion and strong 𝜃-completion of a maximal subgroup of a finite group. Now, we consider the influence of these concepts on the structure of a finite dimensional Lie algebra.  相似文献

Let R be any ring. A right R-module M is called n-copure projective if Ext1(M, N) = 0 for any right R-module N with fd(N) ≤ n, and M is said to be strongly copure projective if Ext i (M, F) = 0 for all flat right R-modules F and all i ≥ 1. In this article, firstly, we present some general properties of n-copure projective modules and strongly copure projective modules. Then we define and investigate copure projective dimensions of modules and rings. Finally, more properties and applications of n-copure projective modules, strongly copure projective modules and copure projective dimensions are given over coherent rings with finite self-FP-injective dimension.  相似文献

A second result is the existence of a unique Φ-invariant probability measure on {itM}; that measure is induced by a C r?1 nonsingular volume form.
