The 1S0 two-nucleon transition matrix T is constructed from the symmetric part σ of its half-shell elements. The on-shell component of σ is given by the phase shift, while a wide class of parametrizations is suggested for the off-shell part. Restrictions on the off-shell part of σ arising from the short range and the proper one-pion-exchange tail of the nucleon-nucleon interaction are investigated. Using σ in the 1S0 and the Reid soft-core potential in the other partial waves, the binding energy per particle in nuclear matter and 16O and the 18O shell-model spectrum are computed. The sensitivity of these nuclear-structure results is tested with respect to (i) smooth off-shell changes in σ, (ii) various assumptions on the high-energy phase shift, (iii) the charge dependence of the phase shift, and (iv) experimental uncertainties in the phase shift.  相似文献

This paper discusses the problem: under what conditions does the quasilinear transformation of waves in plasma with an inhomogeneous beam remain a dominant effect if the nonlinear interaction of waves is respected. It is shown that in the region of densities p 2 B 2 the nonlinear interaction between the high-frequency and the newly excited waves can already affect the initial stage of the process and can result in the establishment of the Rayleigh-Jeans distribution for the two groups of waves. If, on the other hand, the low-frequency waves grow first with a quasilinear increment, the nonlinear transformation of energy inside a group of low-frequency waves is again apt to affect substantially their final amplitude and thus also the total amount of energy that can be transformed into those waves. The conditions under which a particular nonlinear effect predominates are derived for various characteristic values of the density of a cold plasma.  相似文献

We give the results of a numerical calculation of nonlinear effects of surface-helical instability of an electron-hole plasma, based on the theory, developed earlier, for the case of equal mobilitiesμ e =μ h =μ. The amplitudes of the helical waves, the nonlinear diminution of the current, and the frequency shift for the mode ¦ m ¦ = 1, k = (4/3)1/2 is calculated as a function of the cutoff magnetic field B in the range 0<μB < 3.  相似文献

The results of the studies on the transformation of the frequency of laser radiation in polyimide films doped by C70 are presented. The nonlinear susceptibility (χ(3)) of polyimide 6B films with various concentrations of C70 is studied by third-harmonic generation. At a wavelength of 1064 nm, the value of χ(3)(−3ω; ω, ω, ω) is 9×10−13 esu. The effect of the nonlinear variation in the refractive index of the fullerene-containing films on the phase matching between the pumping and third-harmonic waves is analyzed. The third harmonic of the Nd: YAG laser radiation was generated with the efficiencies 6×10−6 and 10−6 in the films with the C70 concentration of 0.5 and 0.2%, respectively.  相似文献

We have analyzed data on K+p elastic scattering at 21 momenta covering the range 0.5–2.5 GeV/c. We present results of three phase shift analyses. One of these is an energy independent accelerated convergence expansion (ACE) analysis in which high partial waves are included through use of conformal mapping as suggested by analytic approximation theory. The other two are an energy independent and an energy smoothed conventional analysis. The ACE method gave, with the same number of parameters, a 20% average improvement in x2 as well as more unique phase shift solutions. The high partial waves gave significant contributions to total and inelastic cross sections. The ACE method is also sensitive to the value of gΛΣ2 = gKΛN2 + gKΣN2; we have obtained the value gΛΣ2 = 15.2 ± 2.3.  相似文献

This paper discusses the existence of ion-acoustic solitary waves and their interaction in a dense quantum electron-positron-ion plasma by using the quantum hydrodynamic equations.The extended Poincar’e-Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method is used to derive the Korteweg-de Vries equations for quantum ion-acoustic solitary waves in this plasma.The effects of the ratio of positrons to ions unperturbation number density p and the quantum diffraction parameter H e (H p) on the newly formed wave during interaction,and the phase shift of the colliding solitary waves are studied.It is found that the interaction between two solitary waves fits linear superposition principle and these plasma parameters have significantly influence on the newly formed wave and phase shift of the colliding solitary waves.The investigations should be useful for understanding the propagation and interaction of ion-acoustic solitary waves in dense astrophysical plasmas (such as white dwarfs) as well as in intense laser-solid matter interaction experiments.  相似文献

We report quasi-phase-matched second-harmonic generation in periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN), where both fundamental and second-harmonic waves are ordinary waves. It provides a lower-limit value for d22 of 1.1 pm/V. The measured temperature and wavelength bandwidth of the second-harmonic signal are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions. Since the d22=dYYY nonlinear coefficient of LiNbO3 changes its sign as a result of electric field periodic poling along the Z direction, we deduce that all tensor components of the second-order susceptibility χ(2) of trigonal 3m crystals are reversed, thereby expanding the quasi-phase-matching possibilities in these crystals. Furthermore, it enables the realization of all-optical processes based on the nonlinear coefficients in the XY plane, such as all-optical polarization rotation in PPLN, as well as multipartite entanglement experiments based on simultaneous phase matching using different elements of χ(2) in a single LiNbO3 crystal. In the overdense collisionless plasma column inserted through the narrow sides of a rectangular waveguide, the excited electron cyclotron harmonic waves (CHWs) are studied by means of two movable probes and a phase interferometer in the range of parameters of 2 >ω/ω ce >1; 0·5 < (ω pe /ω)2 < 15. Two kinds of CH waves have been found in the dipole mode:
  1. Stable backward CH waves with the phase velocity in the direction from the axis to the periphery.
  2. Unstable backward CH waves with the phase velocity in the opposite direction.
From the correlation measurements and amplitude distribution of the CH waves at the applied frequency and its second harmonic frequency it has been found that in the range of 2 >ω/ω ce > >1·5 efficient nonlinear resonant interaction of CH waves takes place. The position of the loci of resonant interaction inside the plasma column has been found both experimentally and by a simple new graphical procedure for the resonant conditions of the formω 2=2ω 1; k2=2¦k1¦. In absence of this condition, no effective generation of the second harmonic frequency has been found. The resonant interaction of CHWs atω/ω ce =1·85 is the cause of self-trapping of CH waves between the zones of resonant interaction in radial direction and of the anomalous heating rate of electrons.  相似文献

Loading a grid with diodes offers the possibility of two-dimensional control of millimeter waves that is analogous to holography and nonlinear optics. These grids are attractive because they are suitable for monolithic integration with gallium-arsenide Schottky diodes and for high-power operation. Here we present grid designs for electronic beam-steering and harmonic generation. The beam-steering grid is a programmable reflector, where the diode bias controls the phase shift of the reflection. The variation of the phase across the grating sets the direction of the reflected beam. The reflection loss in computer simulations is 3dB at 90GHz. The harmonic-generating grid acts as a nonlinear reactive surface, where the nonlinear capacitance of the diodes produces the harmonic frequencies. Quasioptical filters select the desired harmonic. Computer simulations predict that a 65GHz-to-130GHz doubler would have an output power of 0.56W/cm2 and a conversion efficiency of 35%.  相似文献

采用高斯分解法(GD)对大非线性相移下的Z扫描特性进行了分析,通过对数值算法的优化,将GD推广到对脉冲入射激光下大非线性相移下的Z扫描理论分析.对不同条件下大非线性相移Z扫描曲线峰谷结构的比较,发现在大非线性相移的情况下,Z扫描曲线的峰和谷随透过光阑或入射光强变化表现出某些新的特性.随着透过光阑孔径的增加,Z扫描曲线峰的变化要明显快于谷的变化,而且在谷明显存在的情况下,峰很快消失.采用皮秒脉冲激光下的纯二硫化碳实验对理论结果加以验证,实验结果和理论分析相一致.我们的分析结果对大非线性相移下Z扫描测量有一定的指导性意义,避免在大非线性相移下对Z扫描结果产生错误的分析. 关键词: 大非线性相移 高斯分解法 Z扫描  相似文献

This paper investigates the collision between two nonlinear waves with different propagation directions in two-dimensional dust crystals. Using the extended Poincaré--Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method, two Korteweg--de Vries equations for nonlinear waves in both the ξ and eta directions are obtained, respectively, and the analytical phase shifts and trajectories after the collision of two nonlinear waves are derived. Finally, the effects of parameters of the lattice constant a, the arbitrary constant u, the forces f(r), and the colliding angle θ on the phase shifts of both colliding nonlinear waves are examined.  相似文献

Compensation of nonlinear frequency shift of hybrid magnetoelastic waves (quasi-phonons) in the process of parametric three-boson coupling is studied theoretically and experimentally. The singular frequency modulation of electromagnetic pumping is proposed for the observation of explosive instability of quasi-phonon triads. The explosive supercritical dynamics is simulated theoretically on the basis of strong nonlinear equations of magnetoelastic dynamics and observed in α-Fe2O3 magnetoacoustic resonator.  相似文献

Rayleigh waves in linear elasticity are non-dispersive-all profiles propagate without change of form, at the speed cR Previously, the author has determined periodic non-distorting waveforms for nonlinear elastic surface waves. They are far from sinusoidal. For each waveform, the difference between the phase speed c and cR is proportional to the wave steepness (the ratio amplitude/wavelength). The present paper shows, using Whitham's methods for analysing modulations of wavetrains, that gradual changes of amplitude and wavelength of these nonlinear Rayleigh waves propagate in a particularly simple manner. The loci of constant phase speed always propagate as a simple wave, with group velocitycG = G(c). The phase curves also are characteristic curves of the modulation equations.It is shown that these two properties are general properties of the modulation of waveforms having phase speed depending only on wave steepness. Such waveforms arise from physical systems with no intrinsic scales of length or time.  相似文献

A systematic μ+SR study of the magnetic heavy-electron systems U2Zn17 and UCu5 in the paramagnetic and in the magnetically ordered state is presented. In both systems the antiferromagnetic nature of the low-temperature phase could be at least partially confirmed, but the muon reveals significant differences with regard to the phase transition itself. UCu5 behaves like a model-antiferromagnet showing a drastic increase of the relaxation rate both below and above TN, two spontaneous frequencies in the ordered phase, and a Knight shift above TN which scales with the bulk susceptibility. In contrast U2Zn17 shows a loss of μ+ asymmetry by 20% below TN, which is independent of the external field but can be quenched in sufficiently strong longitudinal fields. No scaling of the Knight shift and the susceptibility was observed and no critical increase of the relaxation rate λ. Most astonishing is the strong and nonlinear field dependence of λ above and below TN in both compounds. The absence of longitudinal relaxation demonstrates the static origin of λ.  相似文献

We report simultaneous oscillation in continuous wave at 1062 and 1337 nm in a Nd3+:YAl3(BO3)4 nonlinear crystal associated to the infrared laser channels 4F3/2 → 4I11/2 and 4F3/2 → 4I13/2 of Nd3+. Generation of yellow laser light at 592 nm produced by Type I self-sum-frequency-mixing of both fundamental infrared laser waves is observed under non-optimal phase matching conditions.  相似文献

The modulation instability of finite-amplitude uniform plane waves oscillating with a Josephson frequency and experiencing a nonlinear frequency shift in a finite-thickness slab is studied in terms of the nonlocal electrodynamics of Josephson junction. A dispersion relation for the growth rate of small amplitude perturbation is derived. The domains of modulation instability for these waves are found. Modulation instability of the waves is shown to arise when the wavevectors of long-wave amplitude perturbations fall into the finite range 0 < Q < Q B (A, D, L). In the range QQ B (A, D, L), the waves are stable.  相似文献

The slow group-velocity pulse in fiber described by nonlinear Schrödinger equation were demonstrated and investigated extensively. We derive a more generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation as the superposition of monochromatic waves and numerically study the propagations of 2.5-fs fundamental and 5-fs second-order solitons. It is found that, for a slow-group velocity fiber, the magnitude of time shift is related with the group velocity and the more generalized NLSE is more suitable than the conventional generalized NLSE. When the pulse is slow down to 50% of normal group velocity (c/n0), the effect of the higher nonlinear terms is significant.  相似文献

The plasma line broadening of Hα fine-structure lines is investigated with Doppler-free saturation and polarization spectroscopy in He-H gas and are discharges at plasma densities of 108 cm?3 <N?1.4×1014 cm?3. With a single-mode laser, the shift and broadening of four resolved Hα fs lines are measured in a low pressure discharge forN<1011 cm?3. With an intense, broadband multi-mode laser the plasma effects of Hα are investigated up toN=1.4×1014 cm?3 in a hollow cathode are. Calculations in the classical phase shift and impact approximations can explain the experimental data and peculiarities of the low-density plasma effects and show that the ions are the dominant perturbers. Ion dynamical effects, perturber mass and temperature dependence, are observed and interpreted. Applications of the nonlinear techniques to other H and D lines, other atoms, and for H and D plasma diagnostics are discussed.  相似文献

An interferometric detection scheme to measure optical phase shift with sensi tivity beyond the shot noise limit is proposed. The theoretical calculation shows that using the quantum correlated twin beams produced from an optical parametric amplifier as the input fields of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, the minimum detectable phase shift will exceed the shot noise limit N-1/2 and approach the Heisenberg limit N-1. The parametric dependences of the minimum detectable phase shift on the nonlinear interaction, input photon number, and detection efficiency are shown.  相似文献
