We introduce a class of non-commutative Heisenberg-like infinite-dimensional Lie groups based on an abstract Wiener space. The Ricci curvature tensor for these groups is computed and shown to be bounded. Brownian motion and the corresponding heat kernel measures, {νt}t>0, are also studied. We show that these heat kernel measures admit: (1) Gaussian like upper bounds, (2) Cameron-Martin type quasi-invariance results, (3) good Lp-bounds on the corresponding Radon-Nikodym derivatives, (4) integration by parts formulas, and (5) logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. The last three results heavily rely on the boundedness of the Ricci tensor.  相似文献

We study the second best constant problem for logarithmic Sobolev inequalities on complete Riemannian manifolds and investigate its relationship with optimal heat kernel bounds and the existence of extremal functions.  相似文献

This paper studies Brownian motion and heat kernel measure on a class of infinite dimensional Lie groups. We prove a Cameron-Martin type quasi-invariance theorem for the heat kernel measure and give estimates on the Lp norms of the Radon-Nikodym derivatives. We also prove that a logarithmic Sobolev inequality holds in this setting.  相似文献

Let M be a compact complex manifold with a complex Finsler metric F. We define a natural projection of complex horizontal Laplacian on M: it is independent of the fiber coordinate. By using Sobolev space theory and spectral resolution theory in Hilbert space, we prove the Hodge theorem for the natural projection of complex horizontal Laplacian on M.  相似文献

In this article, we study the spectrum of the rough Laplacian acting on differential forms on a compact Riemannian manifold (M, g). We first construct on M metrics of volume 1 whose spectrum is as large as desired. Then, provided that the Ricci curvature of g is bounded below, we relate the spectrum of the rough Laplacian on 1-forms to the spectrum of the Laplacian on functions, and derive some upper bound in agreement with the asymptotic Weyl law.  相似文献

We study the link between some modified porous media equation and Sobolev inequalities on a Riemannian manifold M whose Ricci curvature tensor is bounded below by a negative constant −ρ. The method used deals with entropy-energy differentiation and follows the way the author got inequalities under nonnegative Ricci curvature assumptions. The key of the proof is the curvature-dimension criterion.  相似文献

This Note is devoted to the proof of convex Sobolev (or generalized Poincaré) inequalities which interpolate between spectral gap (or Poincaré) inequalities and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. We extend to the whole family of convex Sobolev inequalities results which have recently been obtained by Cattiaux, and Carlen and Loss for logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. Under local conditions on the density of the measure with respect to a reference measure, we prove that spectral gap inequalities imply all convex Sobolev inequalities including in the limit case corresponding to the logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. We establish, by simple semigroup arguments, a Lévy-Gromov isoperimetric inequality for the invariant measure of an infinite dimensional diffusion generator of positive curvature with isoperimetric model the Gaussian measure. This produces in particular a new proof of the Gaussian, isoperimetric inequality. This isoperimetric inequality strengthens the classical logarithmic Sobolev inequality in this context. A local version for the heat kernel measures is also proved, which may then be extended into an isoperimetric inequality for the Wiener measure on the paths of a Riemannian manifold with bounded Ricci curvature.Oblatum 19-VI-1995  相似文献

Non-Gaussian Aspects of Heat Kernel Behaviour   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
A large number of papers written over the last ten years haveconcerned the spectral theory of Laplace–Beltrami operatorson complete Riemannian manifolds, and of other self-adjointsecond order elliptic operators. Much of the interest has centredon the relationship between various types of Sobolev inequality, parabolic Harnack inequalities and the Liouville property onthe one hand, and Gaussian heat kernel bounds on the other. For manifolds of bounded geometry there is an important connectionbetween this problem and a corresponding one for discrete Laplacianson graphs. Standard references are [9, 37] and more recent literaturecan be traced via [5, 16, 32].  相似文献

We prove that the suitably defined surface area of a subsetA of the cube {0,1} n is bounded below by a certain explicit function of the size ofA. We establish a family of logarithmic Sobolev inequalities on the cube related to this isoperimetric result. We also give a quantitative version of Margulis' graph connectivity theorem.Work partially supported by the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation.  相似文献

Let L be a non-negative self-adjoint operator acting on L 2(X), where X is a space of homogeneous type. Assume that L generates a holomorphic semigroup e ?tL whose kernel p t (x,y) has a Gaussian upper bound but there is no assumption on the regularity in variables x and y. In this article we study weighted L p -norm inequalities for spectral multipliers of L. We show that a weighted Hörmander-type spectral multiplier theorem follows from weighted L p -norm inequalities for the Lusin and Littlewood–Paley functions, Gaussian heat kernel bounds, and appropriate L 2 estimates of the kernels of the spectral multipliers.  相似文献

We study the existence of “Lp-type” gradient estimates for the heat kernel of the natural hypoelliptic “Laplacian” on the real three-dimensional Heisenberg Lie group. Using Malliavin calculus methods, we verify that these estimates hold in the case p>1. The gradient estimate for p=2 implies a corresponding Poincaré inequality for the heat kernel. The gradient estimate for p=1 is still open; if proved, this estimate would imply a logarithmic Sobolev inequality for the heat kernel.  相似文献

We give a new proof of the fact that Gaussian concentration implies the logarithmic Sobolev inequality when the curvature is bounded from below, and also that exponential concentration implies Poincaré inequality under null curvature condition. Our proof holds on non-smooth structures, such as length spaces, and provides a universal control of the constants. We also give a new proof of the equivalence between dimension free Gaussian concentration and Talagrand's transport inequality.  相似文献

One considers the class of complete non-compact Riemannian manifolds whose heat kernel satisfies Gaussian estimates from above and below. One shows that the Riesz transform is Lp bounded on such a manifold, for p ranging in an open interval above 2, if and only if the gradient of the heat kernel satisfies a certain Lp estimate in the same interval of p's.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive “universal” inequalities for the sums of eigenvalues of the Hodge de Rham Laplacian on Euclidean closed submanifolds and of eigenvalues of the Kohn Laplacian on the Heisenberg group. These inequalities generalize the Levitin–Parnovski inequality obtained for the sums of eigenvalues of the Dirichlet Laplacian of a bounded Euclidean domain.  相似文献

We consider the Sobolev type inequalities under Lorentz norms on bounded open domains for fractional derivatives (−∆) s/2 in the following three cases: n > ps, n = ps, and n < ps, whence establishing the weak type Sobolev inequalities, Moser–Trudinger and Morrey–Sobolev inequalities for fractional derivatives in Lorentz norms. Applying these inequalities, we obtain the trace forms of six related functional inequalities. Bibliography: 44 titles.  相似文献

We prove sharp pointwise estimates for functions in the Sobolev spaces of radial functions defined in a ball. As a consequence, we obtain some imbeddings of such Sobolev spaces in weighted Lq-spaces. We also prove similar imbeddings for Sobolev spaces of functions with partial symmetry. Our techniques lead to new Hardy type inequalities. It is important to observe that we do not require any vanishing condition on the boundary to obtain all our estimates. We apply these imbeddings to obtain radial solutions and partially symmetric solutions for a biharmonic equation of the Hénon type under both Dirichlet and Navier boundary conditions. The delicate question of the regularity of these solutions is also established.  相似文献

Summary. This paper presents a dimension-free Harnack type inequality for heat semigroups on manifolds, from which a dimension-free lower bound is obtained for the logarithmic Sobolev constant on compact manifolds and a new criterion is proved for the logarithmic Sobolev inequalities (abbrev. LSI) on noncompact manifolds. As a result, it is shown that LSI may hold even though the curvature of the operator is negative everywhere. We present a class of modified logarithmic Sobolev inequality, interpolating between Poincaré and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities, suitable for measures of the type exp (−|x|α) or exp (−|x|α log β(2+|x|)) (α ∈]1,2[ and β ∈ ℝ) which lead to new concentration inequalities. These modified inequalities share common properties with usual logarithmic Sobolev inequalities, as tensorisation or perturbation, and imply as well Poincaré inequality. We also study the link between these new modified logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and transportation inequalities. Send offprint requests to: Ivan Gentil  相似文献
