The general stereographic projection which maps a point on a sphere with arbitrary radius to a point on a plane stereographically and its inverse projection have the Pythagorean-hodograph (PH) preserving property in the sense that they map a PH curve to another PH curve. Upon this fact, for given spatialC 1 Hermite data, we construct a spatial PH curve on a sphere that is aC 1 Hermite interpolant of the given data as follows: First, we solveC 1 Hermite interpolation problem for the stereographically projected planar data of the given data in ?3 with planar PH curves expressed in the complex representation. Second, we construct spherical PH curves which are interpolants for the given data in ?3 using the inverse general stereographic projection.  相似文献

We study the problem of Hermite interpolation by polynomials in several variables. A very general definition of Hermite interpolation is adopted which consists of interpolation of consecutive chains of directional derivatives. We discuss the structure and some aspects of poisedness of the Hermite interpolation problem; using the notion of blockwise structure which we introduced in [10], we establish an interpolation formula analogous to that of Newton in one variable and use it to derive an integral remainder formula for a regular Hermite interpolation problem. For Hermite interpolation of degreen of a functionf, the remainder formula is a sum of integrals of certain (n + 1)st directional derivatives off multiplied by simplex spline functions.  相似文献

The object of this paper is to establish the pointwise estimations of approximation of functions in C1 and their derivatives by Hermite interpolation polynomials. The given orders have been proved to be exact in general.  相似文献

We prove a generalization of the Kibble–Slepian formula (for Hermite polynomials) and its unitary analogue involving the 2D Hermite polynomials recently proved in [16]. We derive integral representations for the 2D Hermite polynomials which are of independent interest. Several new generating functions for 2D q-Hermite polynomials will also be given.  相似文献

We introduce and we carry out some concrete spectral properties of a class of magnetic Schrödinger operators leaving invariant the space of the planar mixed automorphic forms of type (ν,μ) with respect to an equivariant pair (ρ,τ) and given lattice ΓC. The associated polynomials constitute classes of generalized complex polynomials of Hermite type.  相似文献

We obtain the Laurent polynomial of Hermite interpolation on the unit circle for nodal systems more general than those formed by the n-roots of complex numbers with modulus one. Under suitable assumptions for the nodal system, that is, when it is constituted by the zeros of para-orthogonal polynomials with respect to appropriate measures or when it satisfies certain properties, we prove the convergence of the polynomial of Hermite-Fejér interpolation for continuous functions. Moreover, we also study the general Hermite interpolation problem on the unit circle and we obtain a sufficient condition on the interpolation conditions for the derivatives, in order to have uniform convergence for continuous functions. Finally, we obtain some improvements on the Hermite interpolation problems on the interval and for the Hermite trigonometric interpolation.  相似文献

We consider one-dimensional monodromy-free Schrödinger operators with quadratically increasing rational potentials. It is shown that all these operators can be obtained from the operator -?2 + x2 by finitely many rational Darboux transformations. An explicit expression is found for the corresponding potentials in terms of Hermite polynomials.  相似文献

The Padua points are a family of points on the square [−1, 1]2 given by explicit formulas that admits unique Lagrange interpolation by bivariate polynomials. Interpolation polynomials and cubature formulas based on the Padua points are studied from an ideal theoretic point of view, which leads to the discovery of a compact formula for the interpolation polynomials. The L p convergence of the interpolation polynomials is also studied. S. De Marchi and M. An infinite matrix formulation of the families of discrete advection-reaction operators is given in order to investigate their relevance to interpolation theory. A basic characteristic under study is the connection of each iteration of the operators to a series of interpolation problems for the canonical polynomial base for selected initial conditions. In order to generalize our results, we extend the definition of advection-reaction operators to sequences of polynomials.  相似文献

In this paper, we give two explicit examples of unbounded linear maximal monotone operators. The first unbounded linear maximal monotone operator S on ?2 is skew. We show its domain is a proper subset of the domain of its adjoint S, and −S is not maximal monotone. This gives a negative answer to a recent question posed by Svaiter. The second unbounded linear maximal monotone operator is the inverse Volterra operator T on L2[0,1]. We compare the domain of T with the domain of its adjoint T and show that the skew part of T admits two distinct linear maximal monotone skew extensions. These unbounded linear maximal monotone operators show that the constraint qualification for the maximality of the sum of maximal monotone operators cannot be significantly weakened, and they are simpler than the example given by Phelps-Simons. Interesting consequences on Fitzpatrick functions for sums of two maximal monotone operators are also given.  相似文献

Univariate Gonarov polynomials arose from the Gonarov interpolation problem in numerical analysis. They provide a natural basis of polynomials for working with u-parking functions, which are integer sequences whose order statistics are bounded by a given sequence u.In this paper,we study multivariate Gonarov polynomials, which form a basis of solutions for multivariate Gonarov interpolation problem. We present algebraic and analytic properties of multivariate Gonarov polynomials and establish a combinatorial relation with integer sequences.Explicitly,we prove that multivariate Gonarov polynomials enumerate k-tuples of integers sequences whose order statistics are bounded by certain weights along lattice paths in Nk.It leads to a higher-dimensional generalization of parking functions, for which many enumerative results can be derived from the theory of multivariate Gonarov polynomials.  相似文献

We study potential operators and, more generally,Laplace-Stieltjes and Laplace type multipliers associated with the twisted Laplacian. We characterize those 1 ≤ p,q ≤∞,for which the potential operators are L~p—L~q bounded. This result is a sharp analogue of the classical Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev fractional integration theorem in the context of special Hermite expansions. We also investigate L~p mapping properties of the Laplace-Stieltjes and Laplace type multipliers.  相似文献

The Renyi, Shannon and Fisher spreading lengths of the classical or hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials, which are quantifiers of their distribution all over the orthogonality interval, are defined and investigated. These information-theoretic measures of the associated Rakhmanov probability density, which are direct measures of the polynomial spreading in the sense of having the same units as the variable, share interesting properties: invariance under translations and reflections, linear scaling and vanishing in the limit that the variable tends towards a given definite value. The expressions of the Renyi and Fisher lengths for the Hermite polynomials are computed in terms of the polynomial degree. The combinatorial multivariable Bell polynomials, which are shown to characterize the finite power of an arbitrary polynomial, play a relevant role for the computation of these information-theoretic lengths. Indeed these polynomials allow us to design an error-free computing approach for the entropic moments (weighted Lq-norms) of Hermite polynomials and subsequently for the Renyi and Tsallis entropies, as well as for the Renyi spreading lengths. Sharp bounds for the Shannon length of these polynomials are also given by means of an information-theoretic-based optimization procedure. Moreover, the existence of a linear correlation between the Shannon length (as well as the second-order Renyi length) and the standard deviation is computationally proved. Finally, the application to the most popular quantum-mechanical prototype system, the harmonic oscillator, is discussed and some relevant asymptotical open issues related to the entropic moments, mentioned previously, are posed.  相似文献

The present paper investigates the convergence of Hermite interpolation operators on the real line. The main result is: Given 0 〈 δo 〈 1/2, 0 〈 εo 〈 1. Let f ∈ C(-∞,∞) satisfy |y|= O(e^(1/2-δo)xk^2,) and |f(x)|t= O(e^(1-εo )x2^). Then for any given point x ∈ R, we have limn→Hn,(f, x) = f(x).  相似文献

Algorithms based on Pythagorean hodographs (PH) in the Euclidean plane and in Minkowski space share common goals, the main one being rationality of offsets of planar domains. However, only separate interpolation techniques based on these curves can be found in the literature. It was recently revealed that rational PH curves in the Euclidean plane and in Minkowski space are very closely related. In this paper, we continue the discussion of the interplay between spatial MPH curves and their associated planar PH curves from the point of view of Hermite interpolation. On the basis of this approach we design a new, simple interpolation algorithm. The main advantage of the unifying method presented lies in the fact that it uses, after only some simple additional computations, an arbitrary algorithm for interpolation using planar PH curves also for interpolation using spatial MPH curves. We present the functionality of our method for G1 Hermite data; however, one could also obtain higher order algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper we establish a new analytic enclosure for the spectrum of unbounded linear operators A admitting a block operator matrix representation. For diagonally dominant and off-diagonally dominant block operator matrices, we show that the recently introduced quadratic numerical range W2(A) contains the eigenvalues of A and that the approximate point spectrum of A is contained in the closure of W2(A). This provides a new method to enclose the spectrum of unbounded block operator matrices by means of the non-convex set W2(A). Several examples illustrate that this spectral inclusion may be considerably tighter than the one by the usual numerical range or by perturbation theorems, both in the non-self-adjoint case and in the self-adjoint case. Applications to Dirac operators and to two-channel Hamiltonians are given.  相似文献

As usual, denote by KW r[a, b] the Sobolev class consisting of every function whose (r ? 1)th derivative is absolutely continuous on the interval [a, b] and rth derivative is bounded by K a.e. in [a, b]. For a function fKW r [a, b], its values and derivatives up to r ? 1 order at a set of nodes x are known. These values are said to be the given Hermite information. This work reports the results on the best quadrature based on the given Hermite information for the class KW r [a, b]. Existence and concrete construction issue of the best quadrature are settled down by a perfect spline interpolation. It turns out that the best quadrature depends on a system of algebraic equations satisfied by a set of free nodes of the interpolation perfect spline. From our another new result, it is shown that the system can be converted in a closed form to two single-variable polynomial equations, each being of degree approximately r/2. As a by-product, the best interpolation formula for the class KW r [a, b] is also obtained.  相似文献

This contribution deals with multiple orthogonal polynomials of type II with respect to q-discrete measures (q-Hahn measures). In addition, we show that this family of multiple orthogonal polynomials has a lowering operator, and raising operators, as well as a Rodrigues type formula. The combination of lowering and raising operators leads to a third order q-difference equation when two orthogonality conditions are considered. An explicit expression of this q-difference equation will be given. Indeed, this q-difference equation relates polynomials with a given degree evaluated at four consecutive non-uniformed distributed points, which makes these polynomials interesting from the point of view of bispectral problems.  相似文献
