A study is made of the problem of a two-dimensional turbulent boundary layer on the moving surface of a cylindrical body (a Rankine oval with a relative elongation of four) moving at constant velocity in an incompressible fluid. For the numerical simulation of the turbulent flow of the fluid, the boundary layer is divided into exterior and interior regions in accordance with a two-layer model, using different expressions for the coefficients of turbulent transfer for each region. A study was nade of the development of the boundary layer on the body at different speeds of the body surface and different Reynolds numbers. The following integral characteristics were found by numerical calculation: the work of friction as the body is displaced; the work expended on the movement of its surface; and, for a flow regime with separation, the work of the pressure force. In this case the following model of separation flow is assumed: beyond the singular point in the solution of the boundary layer equations that indicates the appearance of a region of reverse flow, the pressure and friction stress on the wall are constant and are determined by their values at the singular point.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSH, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 61–67, September–October, 1984.Finally, the author would like to thank G. Steady high-Reynolds-number flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past a slender axisymmetric body is considered. The structure of the near wake and the boundary layer in the vicinity of the rear end of the body is studied. The relationship between the maximum relative body thickness and the rearend shape giving a local boundary layer — potential flow interaction zone in a small neighborhood of the rear end is found. The boundary value problem for this region is solved numerically.Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Akademii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 68–77, September–October, 1993.  相似文献

When a gas flows with hypersonic velocity over a slender blunt body, the bow shock induces large entropy gradients and vorticity near the wall in the disturbed flow region (in the high-entropy layer) [1]. The boundary layer on the body develops in an essentially inhomogeneous inviscid flow, so that it is necessary to take into account the difference between the values of the gas parameters on the outer edge of the boundary layer and their values on the wall in the inviscid flow. This vortex interaction is usually accompanied by a growth in the frictional stress and heat flux at the wall [2, 3]. In three-dimensional flows in which the spreading of the gas on the windward sections of the body causes the high-entropy layer to become narrower, the vortex interaction can be expected to be particularly important. The first investigations in this direction [4–6] studied the attachment lines of a three-dimensional boundary layer. The method proposed in the present paper for calculating the heat transfer generalizes the approach realized in [5] for the attachment lines and makes it possible to take into account this effect on the complete surface of a blunt body for three-dimensional laminar, transition, or turbulent flow regime in the boundary layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 80–87, January–February, 1981.  相似文献

The problem of separationless flow of homogeneous dilute polymer solutions over two-dimensional profiles is considered. The complete flow is divided by the outer edge of the boundary layer and the wake into two regions: a region of irrotational flow and a region of viscous flow — the boundary layer and wake. The characteristics of the two regions are matched at their boundary. The problem is solved by successive approximation with allowance for the mutual influence of the two regions on each other. The influence of the irrotational region on the viscous region is taken into account through the distribution of the pressure on the boundary of the wake and the boundary layer. The influence of the viscous part of the flow is taken into account by the introduction of an associated vortex whose intensity is equal to the integral of the vorticity in the complete viscous region, and also by the introduction of additional velocities on the boundary of the wake and the boundary layer. These deform the streamlines in the irrotational part of the flow and ensure that they match the flow pattern in the real fluid. The results of the calculations of the hydrodynamic characteristics of a Zhukovskii profile are compared with experimental data. The influence of the introduction into the flow of polymer additives on the distributed and total characteristics of the flow at a number of Reynolds numbers is analyzed for the example of the modified profile NACA66.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 35–41, October–December, 1981.  相似文献

Plane steady flow is considered in the case of an incompressible fluid in the neighborhood of the separation point of a turbulent boundary layer. It is shown that separation takes place in a region which lies at some small distance downstream from the region of interaction.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 51–60, May–June, 1987.  相似文献

A high-Reynolds steady-state viscous incompressible fluid flow is investigated in the neighborhood of a small three-dimensional irregularity located on the smooth surface of a body and oriented almost along the skin-friction lines. The regime in which quasi-two-dimensional flow with a given pressure gradient is realized on the irregularity scale is studied in detail. The numerical solution of the corresponding boundary value problem for the boundary layer equations is obtained. It is shown that, as distinct from the plane case, this solution is unique.  相似文献

The plane steady problem of the flow of a viscous wall jet past a smoothed break in the contour of a body is considered. For convenience, the flow in the neighborhood of the junction between two flat plates inclined at an angle to each other is chosen for study. As a result of the small extent of the region investigated the flow field is divided into two layers: the main part of the jet, which undergoes inviscid rotation, and a thin sublayer at the wall, which ensures the satisfaction of the no-slip condition. Particular interest attaches to the flow regime in which the solution in the sublayer satisfies the Prandtl boundary layer equations with a given pressure gradient. A similar problem was studied in [1–4]. The present case is distinguished by the structure of the free interaction region in a small neighborhood of the point of zero surface friction stress. By means of the method of matched asymptotic expansions, applied to the analysis of the Navier-Stokes equations, it is established that the interaction mechanism is that described in [5–7]. As a result, an integrodifferential equation describing the behavior of the surface friction stress function is obtained. A numerical solution of this equation is presented. The range of plate angles on which solutions of the equation obtained exist and, therefore, flows of this general type are realized is determined. The essential nonuniqueness of the possible solutions is established, and in particular attention is drawn to the possible existence of six permissible friction distributions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 38–45, January–February, 1986.The author wishes to thank V. The results are given of an experimental investigation of the supersonic axisymmetric flow over a body consisting of a spherical segment joined to an inverted cone in the neighborhood of the point of inflection of the profile (Fig. 1a). For the limiting case of a cylinder with a flat end and M = 3, a study was made of the influence of the Reynolds number and the state of the boundary layer on the parameters of the local separation region formed near the inflection (Fig. 1b). It was found that there is an appreciable decrease in the length of the separation region and the pressure in it when the Reynolds number increases in the range Re = 105– 107 in the case of a laminar boundary layer on the flat end near the inflection point. A low level of the pressure on the surface of the body was achieved — of the order of thousandths of the pressure behind a normal shock. There was found to be a sharp increase in the pressure in the separation region when the boundary layer on the end becomes turbulent with transition to a flow regime that is self-similar with respect to the Reynolds number. Under conditions of a turbulent boundary layer, systematic experimental data on the pressure on the inverted cone near the point of inflection of such bodies were obtained and generalized.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 154–157, January–February, 1981.  相似文献

The problem of designing the contour of an airfoil in a viscous (incompressible and compressible) flow with a separated turbulent boundary layer from a pressure distribution given on the separationless part of the contour is solved using the boundary layer theory together with the separated flow model proposed in [1]. Numerical calculations are carried out to demonstrate the possibilities of the method.Kazan'. The study considers plane steady flow of an incompressible fluid around a circular cylinder rotating in a homogeneous free stream. On the basis of an asymptotic analysis of the Navier-Stokes equations for high Reynolds numbers, it is shown that at a certain value of the angular velocity of the cylinder an interaction arises between the flow in the boundary layer and the external potential flow. A solution is obtained numerically which describes the flow in the region of interaction.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 36–45, September–November, 1987.  相似文献

Three-dimensional flow is considered for an incompressible fluid in a boundary layer developing along a curved solid surface during interaction between it and a small uneven area (projection or depression) on the surface. It is shown that an important part in the formation of the flow round the uneven area may be played by the drop in the pressure across the boundary layer. Conditions are formulated under which this effect, which is connected with the action of centrifugal forces, is realized. On the assumption that the longitudinal dimension of the uneven area is of the order of Re–3/14, its width of the order of O(Re–3/7), and its height O(Re–4/7), where Re is the Reynolds number, asymptotic equations are derived which describe the motion of the fluid in the neighborhood of the uneven area.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 42–50, May–June, 1987.  相似文献

A method of solving the boundary layer equations is developed taking into account the strong interaction between the boundary layer and the outer hypersonic inviscid flow. The method is aimed at solving problems whose salient feature is the possible upstream propagation of disturbances over distances comparable with the body length. The procedure for fitting a self-consistent contour of the effective body using an artificially formulated boundary value problem for an ordinary second-order differential equation, which lies at the basis of the method, is considered in detail. The method is applied to the problem of flow around a flat plate with roughness in the form of an embankment or a trench; the calculated results are presented.Moscow. A study is made of the region of free interaction of a supersonic boundary layer on a moving surface formed by a weak shock wave impinging on it from without. In the equations of motion, allowance is made for the contribution of the pressure induced by the growth in the displacement thickness of jets passing near the surface. The results are given of the numerical solution of the corresponding nonlinear problem, and the basic structure of the recirculation zones is discussed. It is noted that there are regimes in which the main recirculation zone is accompanied by an additional eddy formation with circulation in the opposite direction. In contrast to a boundary layer on a fixed body, the points at which the streamlines separate are not on the wall but within the flow.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Meklianika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 3–10, September–October, 1980.  相似文献

The transition flow is considered of a fibrous suspension in a pipe. The flow region consists of two subregions: at the center of the flow a plug formed by interwoven fibers and fluid moves as a rigid body; between the solid wall and the plug is a boundary layer in which the suspension is a mixture of the liquid phase and fibers separated from the plug [1–3]. In the boundary region the suspension is simulated as an anisotropic Ericksen—Leslie fluid [4, 5] which satisfies certain additional conditions. Equations are obtained for the velocity profile and drag coefficient of the pipe, which are both qualitatively and quantitatively in good agreement with the experimental results [6–8]. Within the framework of the model, a mechanism is found for reducing the drag in the flow of a fibrous suspension as compared to the drag of its liquid phase.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 91–98, September–October, 1985.  相似文献

A regime diagram of the development of slow near-wall disturbances induced by an unsteady self-induced pressure perturbation in a hypersonic boundary layer is constructed for a disturbance wavelength greater than the boundary layer thickness. It is shown that the main factors shaping the perturbed flow are the gas enthalpy near the body surface, the intensity of the viscous-inviscid interaction, and the nature (sub- or supersonic) of the main part of the boundary layer. Nonlinear boundary-value problems are formulated for regimes in which the near-wall boundary layer region plays a decisive role. Numerical and analytical solutions are obtained in the linear approximation. It is shown that intensification of the viscous-inviscid interaction or an increase in the role of the supersonic main region of the boundary layer impart generally supersonic properties to the main part of the boundary layer, i.e. the upstream propagation of the disturbances is damped and the disturbance growth downstream becomes more intense. Damping of the viscous-inviscid interaction and an increase in the role of the subsonic main part of the boundary layer have the opposite effect. Surface cooling increases the effect of the main part of the boundary layer on the formation of pressure disturbances and surface heating leads to an increase in the effect of the near-wall boundary layer region. It is also shown that for the regimes considered disturbances propagate in a direction opposite to that of the free stream from the turbulent flow region located downstream of the local disturbance development region.Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Academii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, 2004, pp. 59–71. The method of mergeable asymptotic expansions has recently been used effectively in investigations devoted to the study of boundary layer interaction with an external inviscid flow at high subcritical Reynolds numbers Re. The asymptotic analysis permits obtaining a limit pattern of the flow around a solid as Re þ, and determining the similarity and quantitative regularity laws which are in good agreement with experimental results. Thus by using the method of mergeable asymptotic expansions it is shown in [1–4] that near sites with high local curvature of the body contour and flow separation and attachment points, an interaction domain appears that has a small length on the order of Re-3/8. In this flow domain, which has a three-layer structure, the pressure distribution in a first approximation already depends on the change in boundary-layer displacement thickness, while the induced pressure gradient, in turn, influences the flow in the boundary layer. An analogous situation occurs in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of a flat plate where an interaction domain also appears [5, 6]. The flow in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of a flat plate around which a supersonic viscous gas flows was examined in [7]. Numerical results in this paper show that the friction stress on the plate surface remains positive everywhere in the interaction domain, and grows on approaching the trailing edge. The supersonic flow around the trailing edge of a flat plate at a small angle of attack was investigated in [8, 9], Supersonic flow of a viscous gas in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of a flat plate at zero angle of attack is examined in [10], but with different velocity values in the inviscid part of the flow on the upper and lower sides of the plate. The more general problem of the flow around the trailing edge of a profile with small relative thickness is investigated in this paper.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 3, pp. 36–42, May–June, 1981.  相似文献

The effect of viscosity on the carrying properties of hypersonic aircraft appears at great flight altitudes, where an important factor is the interaction of the laminar boundary layer with inviscid flow. In the present study the method of bands is used to make an approximate calculation of this effect for a regime of weak viscous interaction [1]. The results of [2] are used for conditions of inviscid flow round a body. The local coefficient of friction and coefficients of the additional pressure induced by the boundary layer are determined from the data for a plate of infinite width [3]. Simple relationships are obtained which make it possible to estimate the effect of viscosity on the magnitude of the maximum lift-drag ratio and the value of the angle of attack corresponding to it. The results are given of an experimental study of hypersonic flow round a plane triangular wing in a broad range of Reynolds numbers, and these confirm the relationships obtained and indicate the region in which they are applicable.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 149–152, November–December, 1988.  相似文献

It is shown that, for hypersonic flows with moderate and strong degrees of interaction, perturbations brought about, for example, by a bottom opening or by any other sort of obstacle are propagated up to the leading edge of a solid body. Local regions with very large pressure gradients cannot arise in the flow. This is connected with the possibility of the development of breakaway zones with a length on the order of magnitude of the size of the solid body, described in the first approximation by the equations of the boundary layer. From a mathematical point of view the problem comes down to establishing the nonsingular nature of the solution near the leading edge, and to finding eigensolutions which make it possible to satisfy the boundary conditions at the trailing edge of the solid body. It is shown that, with a weak interaction between the hypersonic flow and the boundary layer, there may arise short flow regions with free interaction and locally nonviscous flows with large pressure gradients, within the limits of which the perturbations may move upstream.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 40–49, July–August, 1970.In conclusion, the author thanks V. There have been many theoretical studies of aspects of the unsteady interaction of an exterior inviscid flow with a boundary layer [1–9]. The mathematical flow models obtained in these studies by the method of matched asymptotic expansions describe a wide range of phenomena observed experimentally. These include boundary layer separation near the hinge of a flap, the flow in the neighborhood of the trailing edge of an oscillating airfoil [1–2], and the development and propagation of perturbations in a boundary layer excited by an oscillating wall or some other way [3–5]. The present paper studies the interaction of an unsteady boundary layer with a supersonic flow when a small part of the surface of a body in the flow is rapidly heated.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 66–70, January–February, 1984.  相似文献

Self-similar solutions of the equations of a three-dimensional laminar boundary layer are of interest from two points of view. In the first place, they can be used to construct approximate calculating methods, making it possible to analyze several variants and to consider complex flows, in which it is impossible to neglect the interaction between the boundary layer and the external flow (for example, in the region of hypersonic interaction [1–3]). In the second place, the analysis of self-similar solutions permits clarifying the effect of individual parameters on one or another characteristic of the boundary layer and representing this effect in predictable form. One of the principal characteristics of a three-dimensional boundary layer, as also of a two-dimensional, is the coefficient of regeneration of the enthalpy. The value of this coefficient is needed for determining the temperature of a thermally insulated surface, as well as for finiing the real temperature (or enthalpy) head, which determines the value of the heat flux from a heated gas to the surface of the body around which the flow takes place. The article presents the results of calculations of the coefficient of regeneration of the enthalpy for locally self-similar solutions of the equations of a three-dimensional boundary layer, forming with flow around a cylindrical thermally insulated surface at an angle. It is clarified that the dependence of the coefficient of regeneration of the enthalpy on the determining parameters is not always continuous.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 60–63, January–February, 1973.  相似文献
