Self-consistent-field and configuration-interaction studies were performed on borazine, using a double-zeta basis set augmented by six diffuse -functions. Low-lying singlet and triplet states of the A 1 , A 2 and E species were calculated, corresponding to * excited valence and Rydberg states. A selection out of singly and doubly excited configurations relative to a set of reference configurations was made for each species. Calculated vertical excitation energies (in eV) are 7.12 for 1 A 2(V), 8.45 for 1 E (3p-R), 8.57 for 1 A 1(V), 8.9 for 1 E(V-R), 9.55 for 1 E(3d-R), 6.98 for 3 A 1(V), 7.27 for 3 E(V), 7.82 for 3 A 2(V), 8.30 for 3 E(3p-R), and 9.5 for 3 E(3d-R), where V and R refer to valence or Rydberg character. The results are compared with experimental excitation energies, previous ab initio studies of borazine, and with recent ab initio studies of benzene.Dedicated to Professor Dr. H. Large-scale Hartree-Fock self-consistent field calculations, employing extended Gaussian basis sets, and configuration interaction studies are performed to calculate the energy hypersurface of the electronic ground state of the water molecule and to investigate the accuracy requirements in view of the determination of molecular spectroscopic constants. From the calculated points on the hypersurface the theoretical equilibrium geometry, the force field through fourth order, the spectroscopic constants i, xij, i as well as the Darling-Dennison and Fermi resonance constants are evaluated. The CI surface yields an equilibrium structure for H2O withr e = 0.9501 Å and e=105.33 ° (r exp = 0.9572 Å and exp = 104.52 °). The vibrational levels are obtained with a systematic error of about 2 percent and the rotational constants to about 1 percent compared to spectroscopic data. The relative energy maximum corresponding to the linear structure with = is calculated to be 11890cm–1, within the error limits of the values deduced from experimental measurements.  相似文献

Photoelectron spectroscopy and molecular orbital calculations of the Extended Hückel, MINDO/3 and STO-3G Hartree-Fock type have been applied to anti- and syn-tricyclo[4.2.0.02,5]octadiene (1 and 2) and their homo and bishomo derivatives. The resulting ordering of the one-electron levels for 1 and 2 are 7a g ( +), [6b u (), 5b u ()], 4a u (), 3a u () and 7a 1(+), 5b 2(), 6b 2(), 3a 2(), 4b 1(), respectively. The analysis of the experimental data for the energy of the longest wavelength optical transitions n,opt of substituted polymethines X (CH)2n+1 X shows that in the asymptotic case (n) ,opt does not tend to zero, as it follows from the empirically established correlations, but has a finite, non-zero value. It is shown that the energy gap of odd polymethines is the same as that of the even polymethines - the polyenes (E 2 eV). The substituents (X N, O, B) are responsible for the appearance of levels in the gap. These, depending on the substituent character, are vacant (X B) or occupied (X N, O). The transition from or to such a level determines the longest wavelength optical transition energy of polymethines.  相似文献

Stabilization energy of the (H2) n clusters (n = 2–8) was calculated as a sum of the SCF interaction energy and the semiempirical interaction correlation energy estimated according to Sinanolu and Pamuk. Optimum successive attachment of hydrogen molecules leads to the formation of a gas-phase solvation shell consisting of seven hydrogen molecules. Basis set effect has been found to be important with all clusters under study. The non-additivity effect was investigated with the (H2)4 cluster. Vertical ionization potentials of the clusters considered are predicted to be 0.4–0.6 eV lower than the ionization potential of the parent H2 molecule.  相似文献

Cyclosiversigenin 6-O--L-rhamnopyranoside and 6-O--D-glucopyranoside were isolated fromAstragalus coluteocarpusBoiss. (Leguminosae) andAstragalus dissectusB. Fedtsch. et N. Ivanova, respectively. Cyclosiversigenin 5-O--L-rhamnopyranoside was shown to be an artifact forAstragalus coluteocarpus.Thus, the cyclosiversigenin 6-O--D-glucopyranoside that was isolated from certainAstragalusspecies is hypothesized also to be an artifact. Glycosylation of the 6 -hydroxyl group of cycloartanes by D-glucose and D-xylose, in contrast with other substituents, does not change the low-field position of the PMR signal of the 4-CH 3 group (1.65 2.01 ppm) that is caused by the influence of deuteropyridine directly on the 6 -hydroxyl. Obviously one of the hydroxyls of the -D-glucopyranoside or -D-xylopyranoside residues has the same effect in this instance.  相似文献

Extended basis set ab initio computations are performed on HF, PNO-CI and CEPA level to determine the structure of P2H4 and the potential curve E() for rotation around the P-P axis. The structure parameters are optimized for dihedral angles of 0 ° (cis), 50 °, 80 ° (gauche or semi-eclipsed), 130 °, and 180 ° (trans). It turns out that P2H4 has a gauche equilibrium structure, a local minimum for trans which is 2.5 kJ/mol above gauche, a rather large cis barrier of 20 kJ/mol and a gauche trans barrier of 3.5 kJ/mol. The potential E() is extremely flat in the region 50 ° < < 310 °, where E() varies by less than 5 kJ/mol. Electron correlation tends to reduce the barriers but has no drastic effect on E().  相似文献

The frequency shifts of the O-H stretching modes and the resonance components R of these shifts in the IR spectra of H-complexes of phenol with thiophene derivatives having organic and organosilicon substituents have been analyzed. Relationship of and R parameters to values calculated by nonempirical methods that characterize the electronic effect of organic substituents on the effective charges of the thiophene ring atoms has been established. It has been shown that in the complexation of phenol (hard acid) with thiophene derivatives charge control prevails over frontier orbital control. The changes in the effective charges of the thiophene ring atoms due to the effect of organosilicon substituents have been calculated.For the previous publication of this series see Ref. 1.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Using the self-consistent charge extended Hückel procedure, the charge density difference at Fe57 nucleus, between hemin and Fe+3 ion is calculated. This is combined with the recent value of the calibration constant, –0.23±0.02a 0 3 mm/sec to obtain an isomer shift of –0.374 mm/sec between hemin and Fe+3 in good agreement with the value –0.392 mm/sec derived from experimental data and the calculated value of the isomer shift of Fe+3 with respect to K3FeF6 from first principle covalency investigations in the latter compound. is composed of contributions from core and valence electrons of the same order of magnitude, with the latter being more than one-half of the former. The isomerization of the hetaryl analogs of unsymmetrical benzoins on heating in basic media is a convenient preparative method for the production of -hydroxyacyl derivatives of -excessive heterocycles. The motivating force here for the isomerization is the formation of a thermodynamically more stable product. The inner-core binding-energy shifts (BEs) of boron and carbon atoms in various chemical environments were studied by the semiempirical Self-Consistent Charge Molecular Orbital (SCC MO) method. The calculations are based on the initial ground state electrostatic potential model. The main feature of our approach is the empirical treatment of the coefficient relating BEs with the orbital populations of the host atom and the Madelung energy term. These adjustable parameters absorb a large portion of relaxation energy. The so obtained results are in good agreement with experimental data. They are better than earlier CNDO/2 results obtained by using either ground state or relaxation potential models. Present results indicate that semiempirical methods like SCC MO are able to account for changes in BE(1s) with a fair accuracy although the inner-shell electrons are not explicitly considered in the actual calculations.  相似文献

The formation and transformations of blue silver ( max 700 nm) during -irradiation of a weakly alkaline (pH 9) aqueous solution containing AgClO4, polyacrylic acid (PAA), and isopropanol were studied. We believe that blue silver is a linear silver cluster stabilized on a polymeric molecule. During radiation-chemical reduction the cluster is transformed into new clusters ( max = 365 and 460 nm). When all of the Ag+ ions present in the solution have been reduced, clusters coalesce and a new phase,i.e., colloidal silver particles, forms. Starting from the demi-H 2 + -model for Rydberg states, ab initio calculations of the energy and the wave function for some excited states of H2 have been carried out with the help of diatomic orbitals. The potential curves and wave functions for the following states: 21 g< /+ , 31 g< /+ , 13 g< /+ , 23 g< /+ , 11 u< /+ , 21 u< /+ , 13 u< /+ , 23 u< /+ , 33 u< /+ , 11 g , 13 g , 11 u , and 13 u , have been calculated by a complete CI (configuration interaction) calculation in the sense that all configurations of the state symmetry have been used which can be formed from a given basis set. From the wave functions thus obtained the natural spin orbitals are calculated subsequently to the variational calculations. The dependence of the occupation numbers of the natural spin orbitals on internuclear distance is interpreted according to the model and is used for the explanation of the special features like double minima and maxima which occur in the potential curves of H2. For the curves of the occupation numbers a non-crossing rule in analogy to that for potential curves is valid. The potential curves for the states 13 g and 13 u have been improved by the use of linear combinations of diatomic orbitals with different nuclear charges, which allow a flexible transition to linear combinations of atomic orbitals.Dedicated to Professor Iwan N. Cyclization of esters of butane-1,1,4,4- and pentane-1,1,5,5-tetracarboxylic acids during electrolysis in methanol in the presence of Nal produces, with a yield of 95%, the esters of cyclobutane-1,1,2,2- and cyclopentane-1,1,2,2-tetracarboxylic acids. Under similar conditions, esters of the highest ,,,-alkanetetracarboxylic acids undergo iodation and hydroxymethylation due to electrical oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde. During electrolysis in methanol in the presence of NaOAc, the esters of ,,,-alkanetetracarboxylic acids undergo effective hydroxymethylation, followed by cyclization into substituted five- and six-member lactones, or tetrahydrofurans when structurally possible.N. From the near equilibrium PNO-CEPA potential and dipole moment curves the following molecular constants for the 1+ ground state of the ArH+ ion have been calculated: r e = 1.286Å, e = 2723 cm–1, e e = 56 cm–1, D 0 = 3.89 eV and 0 = 2.384 D. The rotationless radiative lifetimes of the five lowest vibrational states are predicted to be 2.28, 1.2, 0.85, 0.64, 0.46 for ArH+ and 9.09, 4.71, 3.27, 2.55 and 2.11 for ArD+, respectively (all values are in milliseconds and in ascending order of the vibrational levels).Dedicated to Prof. Hermann Hartmann on the occasion of his 65th birthday.  相似文献

The binding of a series of alkane-,-diols, HO(CH2)nOH, n = 4 to 7, to - and -cyclodextrin (CD) has been studied by measurements of partial molar volumes (PMVs) and isentropic partial molar compressibilities (PMCs) at 25°C. From the PMV and PMC data, changes in the partial molar quantities upon going from a free state in aqueous solution to a complexed state were evaluated for the diols. Negative changes in PMV and PMC were observed for complex formation with -CD, while positive values were obtained for the -CD complexes. Equilibrium constants for the different complexes, assuming the formation of 1:1 complexes, were evaluated from the PMV and/or PMC data, and were found to increase with increasing chain length of the included diol for both - and -CD complexes. The equilibrium constant for complex formation is generally higher for the -CD than for the -CD complexes.  相似文献
