The gyromagnetic ratios of the lowest excited 32?and52? states in 107, 109Ag were simultaneously measured relative to that of the 21+ level in 108Pd. The thin-foil, perturbed γ-ray angular distribution technique was employed utilizing the transient hyperfine magnetic field present at the nuclei of these ions as they swiftly recoiled through a thin magnetized Co foil. The states of interest were Coulomb-excited using beams of 100 MeV 32S ions. The present measurements yielded g(32?; 107Ag) = +0.63 ± 0.09, g(52?; 107Ag) = + 0.37±0.06, g(32?; 109Ag) = +0.77 ± 0.10, and g(52?; 109Ag) = +0.36 ± 0.05. These findings are compared with weak-coupling and other appropriate model calculations.  相似文献

The lifetimes of the lowest 32?and52? levels in 103Rh, 107Ag and 109Ag have been measured with the Doppler-shift version of the recoil-distance technique. A beam of 35Cl ions of energy 64 MeV was used to Coulomb excite the target nuclei and eject them from the target. The following lifetimes were obtained: τ(103Rh, 32?, 295 keV) = 14.5 ± 1.5 ps, ρ103Rh, 52?, 357 keV) = 112 ± 10 ps; τ(107Ag, 32?, 325 keV) = 7.2 ± 1.3 ps, τ(107Ag, 52?, 423 keV) = 43 ± 3 ps; τ(109Ag, 32?, 311 keV) = 8.5 ± 1.0 ps, τ(109Ag, 52?, 415 keV) = 50 ± 3 ps. Of t correction factors taken into account the perturbation of the γ-ray angular distribution by the magnetic hyperfine interaction during recoil through vacuum was found to give the largest correction to the measured lifetimes. These lifetimes lead to reduced transition probabilities Bd(E2) for the silver nuclei in reasonable agreement with the predictions of the core-excitation theory.  相似文献

From the angular distributions of γ-rays emitted by oriented 129gTe and 129mTe nuclei implanted in iron by isotope separator, unique spin assignments could be made for the excited states of 129I at 487.4 keV (52+), 696.0 keV (112+), 729.6 keV (92+), 768.9 keV (72+), 1050.4 keV (72+) and 1111.8 keV (52+). In addition, E2/M1 amplitude ratios for the following 129I γ-rays (energies are in keV) are derived: δ(459.6) = ?(0.076+0.037?0.148); δ(487.4) = 0.50+0.17?0.10 or δ? = 0.35+0.15?0.09; δ(556.7) = 0.06±0.02 or δ? = ?(0.10±0.02); δ(624.4) = 0.10±0.26 or δ? > 0.4; the 696.0 keV γ-ray is pure E2; δ(729.6) = ?(0.34±0.06) or δ?1 = 0.55±0.05; δ(741.1) = ?(0.27±0.10) or δ?1 = ?(0.43±0.12); δ(817.2) = 0.46±0.04 or δ?1 =0.20±0.03 if Iπ (845 keV) = 72+; δ(1022.6) = ?(0.02 ±0.02) or δ?1 = ?(0.23±0.02); δ(1084) = 0.56 +0.04?0.14; δ(1111.8) = 0.06±0.05 or δ?1 = ?(0.08±0.05). The anisotropy of the 531.8 keV γ-ray excludes 12+ as a possible spin assignment for the 559.6 keV level, so that no 12+ level is fed in the decay from 129Te. Anisotropies for the 209, 250.7, 278.4 and 281.1 keV γ-rays are also measured. Comparison of the level scheme is made with theoretical predictions from both the pairing-plus-quadrupole model and the intermediate coupling unified model.  相似文献

A level scheme of 144Gd has been established using the 144Sm(α, 4nγ) reaction and in-beam spectroscopy methods. Excitation functions, γ-ray angular distributions, γ-γ coincidence spectra, γ-spectra time related to the cyclotron beam bursts and conversion coefficients for the delayed transitions have been measured.The level scheme comprises 11 levels with spins up to I = 12. Two isomers, a 13 ± 2 ns, 7? state at 2471.4 keV and a 145 ± 30 ns, 10+ state at 3433.0 keV have been observed. The former has similar excitation energy as the 7? isomers in 142Sm, 140Nd and 138Ce and it may arise from the d32?1 × νh112?1} configuration although its lifetime seems to indicate some degree of collectivity. The 10+ state has a similar excitation energy as the 10+ isomer found in 138Ce and it may arise from the dominant νh112?2 configuration. Below the 10+ isomer in 144Gd only two excited states have positive parity; the hitherto known first 2+ and 4+ states. The 11+ and 12+ states must include four-particle configurations or they have to be of collective nature. The latter possibility is supported by the considerable E2/M1 mixture (≈ 20 %) observed for the 11+ to 10+ transition. An analysis of the systematics of ground band levels in the N = 80 isotones shows the same gradual behavior between the two VMI solutions previously found for the Te isotopes.  相似文献

The analysis of the reaction e+e?π+π? measured at the e+e? colliding beam machine ADONE shows that, if ?′ and ?″ exist, the cross sections compare as follows (taking the ? as the reference point): σ(e+e? → ? → π +π?): σ(e+e??′ → π+π?): σ(e+e??″ → π+π?) = 1: (7 ± 4) × 10?3: (1 ± 5) × 10?4. The square of the product of their couplings to the photon (γ?) and the γγ system (g?ππ) are derived.  相似文献

The results of integral precession measurements are reported for 32+ and 52+ excited states in 123,125Te. The measurements were made using the ion implantation perturbed angular correlation technique by recoiling the excited nuclei into polarized iron. The measured mean lifetimes and g-factors are: 123Te (440 keV, 32+) τ = 39±4 ps, g = 0.34 ± 0.06; (505 keV, 52+) τ = 26±3 ps, g = 0.04±0.025; and 125Te(443 keV, 32+) ρ = 27±3.3 ps, g = 0.39±0.06; (464 keV, 52+) g = 0.12±0.04. The de-excitation of the 215 keV 72+ and 324 keV 52+ levels in97Tc, as observed in 97Ru decay, was studied by means of internal conversion electron spectroscopy and the delayed electron-electron coincidence technique. From L-subshell intensity ratios, the E2 content in the 108 and 215 keV transitions were found to be (65 ± 12)% and (7 ± 4)%, respectively. The obtained level mean-lives were 0.75 ± 0.09 ns for the 324 keV level and 74 ± 15 ps for the 215 keV level.  相似文献

Rare decay modes of the f meson are studied in the final states Δ++π+π?π+π?, Δ++π+π?MM and Δ++π+π?π+π?MM. The ratio Γ (f → π+π?π0π0)Γ(f → π+π?) is 0.23 ± 0.09 and Γ(f → 4 π) saturates the f inelasticity. A 2 s.d. upper limit of 0.09 is found for the branching ratio (f → ηη)(f → 2π).  相似文献

Lifetimes of low-lying states in 19F were measured using the Doppler-shift attenuation method through the 15N(α, γ)19F reaction. Values of τm = 3700 ± 700 fs (1.35 MeV), 140 ± 15 (1.46), 19 ± 7 (4.00) and 63 ± 19 (4.03) were obtained for the lowest 52?, 32?, 72? and 92? members, respectively, of the Kπ = 12? rotational band and 5 ± 3 fs (1.55 MeV) and 370 ± 25 (2.78) for the 32+ and 92+ members of the Kπ = 12+ ground-state band. For the Doppler-shift attenuation analysis correction factors of the nuclear and electronic stopping powers were determined by measuring the Doppler-shift attenuation and γ-ray line shape of the 2.78 → 0.20 MeV transition and range values of 100, 200. 300 and 370 keV 19F nuclei in tantalum. All calculations were done with Monte Carlo methods. The transition strengths are discussed in terms of different theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The g-factor of the 480 ns, 9? isomer at 2.237 MeV in 200Pb was measured by the time-differential perturbed angular distribution method. The result, g = ?0.0285±0.0011 confirms the rather pure (f52?1i132?1) quasiparticle structure of this state. Half-lives of 480±20 ns, 43±3 ns and 42±4 ns have been measured for the 2237 keV 9?, 2154 keV 7? states in 200Pb and the 2208 keV state in 202Pb, respectively; E2 transitions and g-factors of negative-parity states in even, neutron-deficient Pb isotopes are discussed.  相似文献

The branching ratio R = Γ(K+e+v)Γ(K+ → μ+v) has been measured with an improved version of the apparatus described elsewhere. From 404 observed K+ → e+v decays, R = (2.51 ± 0.15) × 10?5 was obtained, to be compared with the value predicted for pure axialvector interaction and μ-e-universality, Rtheor = 2.57 × 10?5.  相似文献

The electron capture decay schemes of 245Bk and 246Bk have been investigated by measuring the γ-ray and conversion-electron spectra of mass-separated 245Bk and 246Bk samples. The γ-ray spectra were measured with a 25 cm3 Ge(Li) spectrometer and the conversion-electron spectra were measured with a cooled Si (Li) detector. Multipolarities of most of the transitions in 245Cm and 246Cm were deduced. The half-lives of 245Bk and 246Bk were determined by following the decay of the 252.85 and 798.7 keV photopeaks and were found to be 4.90 ± 0.03 d and 1.80 ± 0.02 d, respectively. The α/(α+EC) ratio for the 245Bk decay was measured to be (1.2 ± 0.1) × 10?3. On the basis of the present investigation the following non-rotational states were identified in 245Cm: 72+ [624], 0; 52+[622], 252.85; 12+ 355.95; 32? vibrational, 633.65; and 12+[620], 740.95 keV. The 32? state at 633.65 keV is int as a Kπ = 2? phonon coupled to the i72+[624] single-particle state. Our measurements of 246Bk γ-ray and conversion-electron energies and intensities confirm previous level assignments in 246Cm.  相似文献

Levels of the N = 81 nucleus 145Gd have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray and conversion electron spectroscopy with the 144Sm(3He, 2n) reaction. Fourteen new low- and medium-spin states between 1.0 and 2.4 MeV excitation, the known yrast levels up to spin 212+, five other high-spin non-yrast states and a new 20.4 ns 132 isomer at 2200.2 keV in 145Gd have been observed. The isomer decays via a fast 927.3 keV E3 transition with B(E3) = 48 ± 7 W.u. Another weaker decay branch is a mixed, strongly hindered E1 + M2 + E3 transition to the vh?1112 state. We propose an octupole vf72j?2 × 3? main configuration for the isomer, analogous to the 997 keV 132+ isomer in 147Gd. The levels of 145Gd are discussed on the basis of the spherical shell model.  相似文献

Using a target prepared by on-line isotope separation, thermal neutron capture in 84Rb (Iπ = 2?) has been shown to induce proton emission to the ground state (0+) and first excited state (2+) of 84Kr. The branching ratio was measured as Γp(0+)Γp(2+) = 4.7 ± 0.7, favouring a 32? assignment of the capturing state without excluding 52?, and the (nth, p) cross section as 12 ± 2 b. The energy available for the process was determined to be 3.45 ± 0.01 MeV, in agreement with other mass data in the region.  相似文献

290 events of the type νFe→μ?μ?X and 53 events from the reaction νFe→μ+μ+X withEν>30GeV and muon momenta pμ>6.5GeV/c have been observed in the CDHS detector. After subtracting the background from charged-current processes with one π or K meson of the hadronic shower decaying into μ?ν(or μ+μ), we obtain for neutrinos a rate of prompt like- sign dimuon production of (3.4±1.8)×10?5 relative to the rate of charged-current events with the same cuts, or (4.1 ± 2.2)% relative to the prompt μ?μ+ rate, and for antineutrinos the corresponding relative rates (4.3±2.3)×10?5 and (4.2 ± 2.3)%. A possible explanation for the events is charm pair production at a level of 10?3 relative to all charged-current reactions.  相似文献

They γ-ray decay of 13 low-lying levels of 65Zn has been studied utilizing the 65Cu(p, nγ)65Zn reaction. The decay scheme was obtained from θγ = 90° yield curve measurements and from a neutron-gamma coincidence measurement. Angular distributions γ-rays were measured for seven angles at Ep = 3.5 and 4.0 MeV. Gamma-ray energies, level energies, and branching ratios obtained are compared with recent measurements. Expected angular correlations for possible spin sequences are calculated utilizing Hauser-Feshbach statistical reaction theory. The results, combined with other available evidence, establish the Jπ assignments for the following levels: 768.9 ± 0.1 keV (52?), 864.8 ± 0.2 (72?), 1047.5 ± 0.1 (52?), 1252.9 ± 0.4 (72and 1343.9 ± 0.1 (52?). Previous assignments are confirmed for the levels 909.8 ± 0.1 keV (32?) and 1369.5 ± 0.2 (52+). Limiting ifJ-values are obtained for the levels of 1577.1 ± 0.2 keV (≦ 52) and 1588.2 ± 0.4 (≦ 72). Gamma-ray multipole mixing ratios are extracted for 19 transitions between low-lying levels and transition strengths calculated where the level lifetimes are assumed to be in the range 10?12 to 10?13 sec.  相似文献

The electronic absorption spectrum of cyanogen chloride has been investigated in the range 2200-1250 Å. The first s-Rydberg transitions, X?1Σ+3Π1 and X?1Σ+1Π1 have been assigned, and analyzed to yield exchange and spin-orbit coupling parameters. The relative intensities of these two transitions have been shown to accord with an intermediate coupling situation. The π → π1 intravalence excitations, leading to 1.3?, Δ and Σ+) states, have been discussed. It has been shown that one or both of the 1Σ? and 1Δ states have bent geometries and that the 1Σ+ state is located (tentatively) at 79 755 cm?1. Two σ → π1π → σ1 states have been assigned, one at 56 340 cm?1, the other at 74 450 cm?1. The latter assignment is tentative, being largely based on observed vibronic interferences between the X?1Σ+1Π1 transition and the 74 450 cm?1 transition. A considerable amount of vibrational oscillator strength and quantum defect data is presented.  相似文献

Angular correlations have been measured between γ-rays from the 2 → 2 → 0 cascades in 106,112,114Cd and the beam of 11.0 MeV α particles effecting Coulomb excitation. Multipole admixtures for the 2 → 2 transitions, as deduced from these correlations, when combined with earlier results establish their B(E2) and B(M1) values. For the transitions from the 1312 and 1208 keV states in 112,114Cd the B(E2) values in single-particle units are 18±4 and 24±7. These values are typical for transitions from “two-quadrupole-phonon” states in this mass region whereas that of the 1718 keV transition in 106Cd has the smaller value of 7.0±2.3. The B(E2) values of the 2 → 2 transitions in 112,114Cd from the 1468 and 1363 keV states are < 0.3 single-particle units. The B(M1) values of all five transitions are ≈ 10?2(eh?2Mc)2.  相似文献

The reduced M2 transition probabilities 112?172+1 in the odd-A isotopes 109–121Sn are found to reveal a specific behaviour. B(M2) values are calculated in the framework of the quasiparticlephonon model. The coupling of a quasineutron with the 2+, 3? and 2? one-phonon core excitation is taken into account. Inclusion of all one-phonon 2? states up to 24 MeV in the wave functions of the excited states 112?1and72+1 reduces the theoretical B(M2) values by 3–4 times as compared to the single-particle values. The specific B(M2) dependence on the mass number appears to be due to the pairing effect.  相似文献

The half-lives of the 72? states at 522.6 and 393.9 keV in 113Cd and 115Cd have been determined to be 0.322±0.012 and 0.75± 0.03 ns, respectively. Values of the B(E2, 72?112?) and the energy difference E72? ? E112? in odd Cd (A = 113–119) are compared with those in neighbouring even Cd.
