A series of Cu/SiO2 catalysts with copper loadings ranging from 17.8 to 42.2 wt% were prepared by the sol–gel method and evaluated for the hydrogenolysis of diethyl oxalate to ethylene glycol. The physicochemical properties of these catalysts were systematically characterized by means of different techniques. It is found that copper loadings have great influence on the catalytic performance; the catalyst with a copper loading of 37.8 wt% exhibited the best activity and ethyl glycol selectivity. The sol–gel derived catalyst was superior in catalytic performance to the catalyst prepared by the deposition precipitation method, a result due to the presence of finely dispersed copper phyllosilicate.  相似文献

Titanium silicalite (TS) and TiO2 nanocomposites were prepared by mixing TS and TiO2 with different ratios in ethanol. They were impregnated with 15 wt% Co loading to afford Co‐based catalysts. Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) performance of these TS–TiO2 nanocomposite‐supported Co‐based catalysts was studied in a fixed‐bed tubular reactor. The results reveal that the Co/TS–TiO2 catalysts have better catalytic performance than Co/TS or Co/TiO2 each with a single support, showing the synergistic effect of the binary TS–TiO2 support. Among the TS–TiO2 nanocomposite‐supported Co‐based catalysts, Co/TS–TiO2‐1 presents the highest activity. These catalysts were characterized using N2 adsorption–desorption measurements, X‐ray diffraction, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, H2 temperature‐programmed reduction, H2 temperature‐programmed desorption and transmission electron microscopy. It was found that the position of the active component has a significant effect on the catalytic activity. In the TS–TiO2 nanocomposites, cobalt oxides located at the new pores developed between TS and TiO2 can exhibit better catalytic activity. Also, a positive relationship is observed between Co dispersion and FTS catalytic performance for all catalysts. The catalytic activity is improved on increasing the dispersion of Co.  相似文献

From environmental and economic points of view, it is highly desirable to develop a clean and efficient catalytic process to produce epoxides. An attractive approach is to use a solid, recyclable catalyst and molecular oxygen as the oxidant without any sacrificial reductant or other additives. Nonetheless, the catalysts reported up to now still cannot balance catalytic activity with epoxide selectivity. It is of great importance to explore novel catalysts with both high activity and selectivity for the epoxidation of olefins. In this work, cobalt(II) acetylacetonate (Co(acac)2) was covalently bonded to the silica surface of SBA‐15 molecular sieve by multi‐step grafting using 3‐aminopropytrimethoxysilane (APTS) as coupling agent. Characterizations with nitrogen physisorption, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis suggested that the metal complex was successfully immobilized on the aminosilane‐modified SBA‐15 surface and the channel structure remained intact. The synthesized Co(acac)2APTS@SBA‐15 catalyst was used in the epoxidation of trans‐stilbene (TS) with molecular oxygen. Compared to the sample prepared by the impregnation method as well as Co(acac)2 solutions under the same reaction conditions, the Co(acac)2 immobilized catalyst exhibited remarkably higher TS conversion and trans‐stilbene oxide (TSO) selectivity. An increase in TS conversion with Co content was observed when the Co loading was lower than 0.70% and the 0.70Co(acac)2APTS@SBA‐15 sample exhibited the best catalytic performance. Up to 50.1% of TS conversion could be achieved within 6 h, affording TSO selectivity as high as 96.7%. The superior catalytic performance of this particular catalyst is attributed to the high activity of the immobilized Co(acac)2 species on SBA‐15. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The synthesis, structural characterization, and reactivity of the first two‐coordinate cobalt complex featuring a metal–element multiple bond [(IPr)Co(NDmp)] ( 4 ; IPr=1,3‐bis(2′,6′‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazole‐2‐ylidene; Dmp=2,6‐dimesitylphenyl) is reported. Complex 4 was prepared from the reaction of [(IPr)Co(η2‐vtms)2] (vtms=vinyltrimethylsilane) with DmpN3. An X‐ray diffraction study revealed its linear C Co N core and a short Co N distance (1.691(6) Å). Spectroscopic characterization and calculation studies indicated the high‐spin nature of 4 and the multiple‐bond character of the Co N bond. Complex 4 effected group‐transfer reactions to CO and ethylene to form isocyanide and imine, respectively. It also facilitated E H (E=C, Si) σ‐bond activation of terminal alkyne and hydrosilanes to produce the corresponding cobalt(II) alkynyl and cobalt(II) hydride complexes as 1,2‐addition products.  相似文献

Pt‐Co/Al2O2 catalyst has been studied for CO2 reforming of CH4 to synthesis gas. It was found that the catalytic performance of me catalyst was sensitive to calcination temperature. When Co/Al2O3 was calcined at 1473 K prior to adding a small amount of Pt to it, the resulting bimetallic catalyst showed high activity, optimal stability and excellent resistance to carbon deposition, which was more effective to the reaction than Co/Al2O3 and Pt/Al2O3 catalysts. At lower metal loading, catalyst activity decreased in the following order: Pt‐Co/ Al2O3 > Pt/Al2O3 > Co/Al2O3. With 9% Co, the Co/Al2O3 calcined at 923 K was also active for CO2 reforming of CH4, however, its carbon formation was much more fast man that of the Pt‐Co/Al2O3 catalyst. The XRD results indicated that Pt species well dispersed over the bimetallic catalyst. Its high dispersion was related to the presence of CoAl2O4, formed during calcining of Co/Al2O3 at high temperature before Pt addition. Promoted by Pt, Co/Al2O4 in the catalyst could be reduced partially even at 923 K, the temperature of pre‐reduction for the reaction, confirmed by TPR. Based on these results, it was considered that the zerovalent platinum with high dispersion over the catalyst surface and the zerovalent cobalt resulting from Co/Al2O4 reduction are responsible for high activity of the Pt‐Co/Al2O3 catalyst, and the remain Co/Al2O4 is beneficial to suppression of carbon deposition over the catalyst.  相似文献

A series of Cu‐pyrrolidone/spherical activated carbon (SAC) catalysts were prepared via a simple incipient wetness impregnation method and then assessed in acetylene hydrochlorination, and the catalytic evaluation result indicated that the 1‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone (NMP) ligand was found to be the most effective one to significantly improve the activity and stability of Cu catalyst. The catalyst with the optimal molar ratio of NMP/Cu = 0.25 showed 94.2% acetylene conversion at 180°C and an acetylene gas hourly space velocity of 180 h?1. Moreover, the acetylene conversion of Cu‐0.25NMP/SAC remained stable over 99.1% for about 220 h under the industrial condition. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses proved that NMP ligand improved the dispersion of Cu species. In addition, hydrogen temperature‐programmed reduction (H2‐TPR), X‐ray photoelectron spectra (XPS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and Brunner–Emmet–Teller (BET) indicated that the additive of NMP was preferential to stabilize the catalytic active Cu+ and Cu2+ species and inhibit the reduction of Cuα+ to Cu0 during the preparation process and reaction, hence restraining the coke deposition. Furthermore, the steady coordination structure between Cu and NMP was confirmed by Fourier‐transform infrared spectra (FT‐IR) and Raman combining with density functional theory (DFT) calculation, which could effectively lower the adsorption energy of catalyst for C2H2 and inhibit the serious carbon deposition caused by excessive acetylene self‐accumulation. Our findings suggest that the efficient, well‐stabilized cost‐effective, and environmentally friendly Cu catalyst has great potential in acetylene hydrochlorination.  相似文献

In this paper, the gas‐phase fluorination of hexachlorobutadiene (HCBD) to synthesize 1,2‐dichlorotetrafluorocyclobutene (DTB) was carried out over a series of Cr/M/Zn catalysts (M = Ni, Co, Cu, In, Al). The influence of prefluorination by different fluorinating agents (HF, 95%HF + 5%Cl2, 95%HF + 5%O2, CF2O, CF2Cl2) on catalytic performance of Cr/Co/Zn sample was also investigated. The addition of prompters to the Cr/Zn catalyst improved remarkably its catalytic properties. The Cr/Ni/Zn catalyst exhibited the best catalytic activity (1.318 mmol/h/g) at 390 °C and the Cr/Co/Zn catalyst showed the best DTB selectivity (42.5%) at 350 °C. Compared to that of gaseous HF, the catalytic performance of the Cr/Co/Zn catalyst after treatment by HF + O2 and CF2O increased considerably, whereas for HF + Cl2 and CF2Cl2 it showed little effect. In order to identify the different species (Cr─O, Cr─F, CrO xF y) present on catalysts’ surface and determine their exact role, these catalysts before and after the reaction were characterized by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that the concentration of the various species was responsible for the activity and lifetime of catalysts. Moreover, a possible reaction route is proposed based upon the product distribution. The most feasible formation pathway of DTB proceeded via the cyclization of C4Cl4F2 or C4Cl3F3 to yield c‐C4Cl4F2 and c‐C4Cl3F3 followed by further the Cl/F exchange.  相似文献

The conversion of fructose to 1,2‐propylene glycol (PG) is an important process from cellulosic biomass to high‐value added chemicals. Herein, Ru‐WOx/hydroxyapatite (HAP) catalyst was employed for this reaction and reached up to 91.3% yield of PG at 180 °C, 1 MPa initial hydrogen for 8 h in water. On this catalyst, Ru and WOx were highly dispersed on HAP support and they interacted with each other to form a special catalytic center. The lack of isolated Ru or RuW alloy site led to a moderate activity for hydrogenolysis and hindered the further conversion of PG to propanol. The weak basic HAP support efficiently prevented the humin formation. This precisely controlled catalyst has potential in green PG production.  相似文献

The Ziegler–Natta‐catalyzed polymerization of 1,3‐butadiene was investigated at a low aluminum alkyl/cobalt (Al/Co) ratio using two different soluble catalyst systems: cobalt(II) octanoate/diethylaluminum chloride/water and cobalt(II) octanoate/methylaluminoxane/tert‐butyl chloride. When the active‐center concentration was determined by the number‐average molecular weight technique, it was found that the percentage of active cobalt depended on the Al/Co ratio. Subsequently, an equilibrium reaction was proposed to be Co + 2Al ? CoAl2, where Co is cobalt(II) octanoate, Al is either of the aluminum alkyl‐activator species, and CoAl2 is the active catalyst. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. In regard to earth‐abundant cobalt water oxidation catalysts, very recent findings show the reorganization of the materials to amorphous active phases under catalytic conditions. To further understand this concept, a unique cobalt‐substituted crystalline zinc oxide (Co:ZnO) precatalyst has been synthesized by low‐temperature solvolysis of molecular heterobimetallic Co4?xZnxO4 (x=1–3) precursors in benzylamine. Its electrophoretic deposition onto fluorinated tin oxide electrodes leads after oxidative conditioning to an amorphous self‐supported water‐oxidation electrocatalyst, which was observed by HR‐TEM on FIB lamellas of the EPD layers. The Co‐rich hydroxide‐oxidic electrocatalyst performs at very low overpotentials (512 mV at pH 7; 330 mV at pH 12), while chronoamperometry shows a stable catalytic current over several hours.  相似文献

A series of SBA‐15‐supported chromia‐ceria catalysts with 3% Cr and 1%–5% Ce (3Cr‐Ce/SBA) were prepared using an incipient wetness impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, N2 adsorption, SEM, TEM‐EDX, Raman spectroscopy, UV–vis spectroscopy, XPS and H2‐TPR, and their catalytic performance for isobutane dehydrogenation with CO2 was tested. The addition of ceria to SBA‐15‐supported chromia improves the dispersion of chromium species. 3Cr‐Ce/SBA catalysts are more active than SBA‐15‐supported chromia (3Cr/SBA), which is due to a higher concentration of Cr6+ species present on the former catalysts. The 3Cr‐3Ce/SBA catalyst shows the highest activity, which gives 35.4% isobutane conversion and 89.6% isobutene selectivity at 570 °C after 10 min of the reaction.  相似文献

The Fischer–Tropsch process, or the catalytic hydrogenation of carbon monoxide (CO), produces long chain hydrocarbons and offers an alternative to the use of crude oil for chemical feedstocks. The observed size dependence of cobalt (Co) catalysts for the Fischer–Tropsch reaction was studied with colloidally prepared Co nanoparticles and a chemical transient kinetics reactor capable of measurements under non‐steady‐state conditions. Co nanoparticles of 4.3 nm and 9.5 nm diameters were synthesized and tested under atmospheric pressure conditions and H2/CO=2. Large differences in carbon coverage (ΘC) were observed for the two catalysts: the 4.3 nm Co catalyst has a ΘC less than one while the 9.5 nm Co catalyst supports a ΘC greater than two. The monomer units present on the surface during reaction are identified as single carbon species for both sizes of Co nanoparticles, and the major CO dissociation site is identified as the B5‐B geometry. The difference in activity of Co nanoparticles was found to be a result of the structure sensitivity caused by the loss of these specific types of sites at smaller nanoparticle sizes.  相似文献

Two series of Co and Ni based catalysts supported over commercial (ZrO2, CeO2, and Al2O3) nano supports were investigated for dry reforming of methane. The catalytic activity of both Co and Ni based catalysts were assessed at different reaction temperatures ranging from 500—800 °C; however, for stability the time on stream experiments were conducted at 700 °C for 6 h. Various techniques such as N2 adsorption‐desorption isotherm, temperature‐programmed reduction (H2‐TPR), temperature‐programmed desorption (CO2‐TPD), temperature‐programmed oxidation (TPO), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were applied for characterization of fresh and spent catalysts. The catalytic activity and stability tests clearly showed that the performance of catalyst is strongly dependent on type of active metal and support. Furthermore, active metal particle size and Lewis basicity are key factors which have significant influence on catalytic performance. The results indicated that Ni supported over nano ZrO2 exhibited highest activity among all tested catalysts due to its unique properties including thermal stability and reducibility. The minimum carbon deposition and thus relatively stable performance was observed in case of Co‐Al catalyst, since this catalyst has shown highest Lewis basicity.  相似文献

Thin film of amorphous tungsten‐doped cobalt oxide (W:CoO) was successfully grown on a conducting electrode via an electrochemical oxidation process employing a [Co(WS4)2]2? deposition bath. The W:CoO catalyst displays an attractive performance for the oxygen evolution reaction in an alkaline solution. In an NaOH solution of pH 13, W:CoO operates with a moderate onset overpotential of 230 mV and requires 320 mV overpotential to generate a catalytic current density of 10 mA cm?2. A low Tafel slope of 45 mV decade?1 was determined, indicating a rapid O2‐evolving kinetics. The as‐prepared W:CoO belongs to the best cobalt oxide‐based catalysts ever reported for the oxygen evolution (OER) reaction.  相似文献

Catalytic direct dehydrogenation of methanol to formaldehyde was carried out over Ag‐SiO2‐MgO‐Al2O3 catalysts prepared by sol‐gel method. The optimal preparation mass fractions were determined as 8.3% MgO, 16.5% Al2O3 and 20% silver loading. Using this optimum catalyst, excellent activity and selectivity were obtained. The conversion of methanol and the selectivity to formaldehyde both reached 100%, which were much higher than other previously reported silver supported catalysts. Based on combined characterizations, such as X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), diffuse reflectance ultraviolet‐visible spectroscopy (UV‐Vis, DRS), nitrogen adsorption at low temperature, temperature programmed desorption of ammonia (NH3‐TPD), desorption of CO2 (CO2‐TPD), etc., the correlation of the catalytic performance to the structural properties of the Ag‐SiO2‐ MgO‐Al2O3 catalyst was discussed in detail. This perfect catalytic performance in the direct dehydrogenation of methanol to formaldehyde without any side‐products is attributed to its unique flower‐like structure with a surface area less than 1 m2/g, and the strong interactions between neutralized support and the nano‐sized Ag particles as active centers.  相似文献

Cobalt supported on amorphous aluminum phosphate (Co/AlPO4) catalysts were prepared by the impregnation method using three different cobalt precursors such as cobalt nitrate, acetate and chloride to elucidate the activity of Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. The use of AlPO4 as a support for cobalt-based catalysts exhibits better catalytic performance during FTS reaction than the corresponding Co/Al2O3 catalyst. TPR results also suggest that the reducibility of the catalysts varies with the nature of cobalt precursors employed during the impregnation on AlPO4 support. The Co/AlPO4 catalyst prepared from cobalt nitrate shows higher CO conversion and C8+ selectivity than the others due to the facile formation of homogeneous cobalt particles with proper electronic characters and high reducibility. Interestingly, all Co/AlPO4 showed a growth of filamentous carbon initiated from the large mobile cobalt particles during the reaction. The differences in catalytic properties of Co/AlPO4 are mainly attributed to the cobalt particle size, reducibility with different electronic states of metallic cobalt, pore diameter of AlPO4 and formation of filamentous carbon.  相似文献

Single‐atom catalysts (SACs) have been explored widely as potential substitutes for homogeneous catalysts. Isolated cobalt single‐atom sites were stabilized on an ordered porous nitrogen‐doped carbon matrix (ISAS‐Co/OPNC). ISAS‐Co/OPNC is a highly efficient catalyst for acceptorless dehydrogenation of N‐heterocycles to release H2. ISAS‐Co/OPNC also exhibits excellent catalytic activity for the reverse transfer hydrogenation (or hydrogenation) of N‐heterocycles to store H2, using formic acid or external hydrogen as a hydrogen source. The catalytic performance of ISAS‐Co/OPNC in both reactions surpasses previously reported homogeneous and heterogeneous precious‐metal catalysts. The reaction mechanisms are systematically investigated using first‐principles calculations and it is suggested that the Eley–Rideal mechanism is dominant.  相似文献

The functional properties of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) may be promoted by the inclusion of other elements. Here, we studied the local stoichiometry of single cobalt promoter atoms in an industrial‐style MoS2‐based hydrotreating catalyst. Aberration‐corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy show that the Co atoms occupy sites at the (?100) S edge terminations of the graphite‐supported MoS2 nanocrystals in the catalyst. Specifically, each Co atom has four neighboring S atoms that are arranged in a reconstructed geometry, which reflects an equilibrium state. The structure agrees with complementary studies of catalysts that were prepared under vastly different conditions and on other supports. In contrast, a small amount of residual Fe in the graphite is found to compete for the S edge sites, so that promotion by Co is strongly sensitive to the purity of the raw materials. The present single‐atom‐sensitive analytical method therefore offers a guide for advancing preparative methods for promoted TMD nanomaterials.  相似文献

The catalytic aerobic oxidation of alkylarenes catalyzed by cobalt supported on a highly crystalline γ‐Al2O3 support (Co/Al2O3 nanocatalyst) is reported. The catalyst was prepared by a co‐precipitation method and characterized using scanning and high‐resolution transmission electron microscopies, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction and surface area measurements. A wide range of alkylarenes were converted to corresponding ketones. The catalyst can be recovered by simple filtration is recyclable for up to six consecutive runs.  相似文献
