Using the principle of crystal engineering, three new silver metal–organic coordination polymers, [Ag2(L1)2(L2)]·2H2O (1), [Ag2(L1)2(L3)]·H2O (2), [Ag2(L1)2(L4)]·2H2O (3) (L1 = 2-aminopyrimidine, L2 = oxalate anion, L3 = glutarate anion and L4 = 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylate anion) have been synthesized by solution phase reactions of silver nitrate with various dicarboxylic acids and cooperative heterocyclic 2-aminopyrimidine ligand under the ammoniacal conditions. All the complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and X-ray diffraction. In complex 1, L1 ligands are coordinated to Ag(I) metal centers in rare tridentate fashions, forming one-dimensional (1-D) ladder-like structure, which is interlinked by L2 anions to generate 2-D pleated molecular sheet. Complex 2 displays an interesting two-dimensional (2-D) tongue-and-groove structure containing a new kind of “T-shaped” unit. Meanwhile, each of 2-D bilayers is interlocked by four adjacent identical motifs to form three-dimensional (3-D) 5-fold interpenetrating conformation with weak Ag···Ag interactions. In complex 3, L1 ligands are coordinated to the Ag(I) ions to form 1-D polymeric chain. And L4 anions, acting as bridging linkers through corresponding μ2-carboxylates, link a pair of Ag(I) atoms from adjacent chains to yield 3-D supramolecular network. The structures of complexes 13 which span from 2-D to 3-D networks suggest that dicarboxylate anions play important role in the formation of such coordination architectures.  相似文献

A new ferrocene-containing dicarboxylate ligand, L = 5-ferrocene-1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid, has been prepared. Self-assembly of L, M(II) salts (M = Co and Zn) and chelating ligands dpa or phen (dpa = 2,2′-dipyridylamine and phen = 1,10-phen) gave rise to four new coordination polymers {[Co(L)(dpa)] · 2MeOH}n (1), {[Zn(L)(dpa)] · 2MeOH}n (2), {[Co(L)(phen)(H2O)] · MeOH} (3), [Zn(L)(phen)(H2O)] · MeOH (4). The isostructural complexes 1 and 2 possess 1D helical chain structures with 21 screw axes along the b-direction, and the right- and left-handed helical chains are alternate arrayed into 2D layer structures through hydrogen-bonding interactions; while isostructural complexes 3 and 4 are 1D linear chain structures with phen and ferrocene groups of L as pendants hanging on the different sides of the main chain. A structural comparison of complexes 14 demonstrated that the characteristics of subsidiary ligands and slight difference in coordination models of L play very important role in the construction of the complexes. In addition, the redox properties of complexes 14, as well as the magnetic properties of complexes 1 and 3 are also investigated.  相似文献

Assembly of 5-sulfosalicylic acid (H3L) and d10 transition metal ions (CdII, AgI) with the neutral N-donor ligands produces five new complexes: [Cd2(HL)2(4,4′-bipy)3]n·2nH2O (1), {[Cd2(μ2-HCO2)2(4,4′-bipy)2(H2O)4][Cd(HL)2(4,4′-bipy)(H2O)2]}n (2), {[Cd(4,4′-bipy)(H2O)4][HL]·H2O}n (3), [Cd(HL)(dpp)2(H2O)]n·4nH2O (4), {[Ag(4,4′-bipy)][Hhbs]}n (5) (4,4′-bipy=4,4′-bipyridine, dpp=1,3-di(pyridin-4-yl)propane, H2hbs=4-hydroxybenzenesulfonic acid, the decarboxylation product of H3L). Complex 1 adopts a 5-connected 3D bilayer topology. Complex 2 has the herring-bone and ladder chain, which are extended to a 3D network via hydrogen bonding. In 3–4 complexes, 3 is a 3D supermolecular structure formed by polymeric chains and 2D network of HL2−, while 4 gives the double-stranded chains. In 5, ladder arrays are stacked with the 2D networks of Hhbs anions in an –ABAB– sequence. Complexes 1–4 display green luminescences in solid state at room temperature, while emission spectra of 3 and 4 show obvious blue-shifts at low temperature.  相似文献

The new Pd(II), Pt(II), Re(V), Mo(VI) and W(VI) complexes of 2-hydroxynicotinic acid (H2nicO), trans-[PdCl(HnicO)(PPh3)2]·0.75CH3CN (1), K[PdCl(HnicO)2]·H2O (2), [Pd(HnicO)2(bipy)] (3), cis-[PtCl(HnicO)(PPh3)2]·0.75CH3OH·0.5H2O (4), [PtCl(HnicO)(bipy)] (5), cis-[ReOI2(HnicO)(PPh3)] (6), Na2[Mo2O6(HnicO)2]·5H2O (7), Na2[Mo4O12(HnicO)2]·2H2O (8) and Na2[W2O6(HnicO)2]·5H2O (9) have been prepared. The crystal structures of 1 and 4, were determined by X-ray diffraction and show the HnicO ligand coordinated to palladium or platinum through the nitrogen atom only. Infrared, Raman, 1H and 13C{1H} NMR spectroscopic data for the complexes are presented and are in agreement with the crystallographic results.  相似文献

In this study, three novel Cu(II)-pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylate (pydc) complexes with 4-methylimidazole (4-Meim), [Cu(pydc)(H2O)(4-Meim)2]·H2O (1), imidazole (im), {[Cu(μ-pydc)(im)2]·2H2O}n (2), and 3,4-dimethylpyridine (dmpy), [Cu(μ-pydc)(H2O)(dmpy)]n (3) have been synthesized. Elemental and thermal analyses, magnetic susceptibilities, IR and UV/vis spectroscopic studies have been performed to characterize the complexes. The molecular structures of mononuclear (1) and polynuclear (2 and 3) complexes have been determined by the single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. In 1 and 2, Cu(II) ions have distorted square planer geometry, while 3 has distorted octahedral coordination. The pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylate exhibits three different coordination modes namely bidentate (1), tridentate (2) and tetradentate (3). The complex 1 is further constructed to form three-dimensional framework by hydrogen bonding, C–Hπ and ππ stacking interactions. The adjacent chains of 2 and 3 are then mutually linked via hydrogen bonding, ππ and C–Hπ interactions, which are further assembled to form three-dimensional framework. 1 exhibits the magnetic moment value of 1.70 BM, which corresponds to one of the unpaired electron, while the polynuclear complexes 2 and 3 exhibit 1.58 and 1.46 BM, which is lower than the spin only value for one unpaired electron, indicates to antiferromagnetic effect. The first thermal decomposition process of all the complexes is endothermic dehydration. This stage is followed by partial (or complete) decomposition of the neutral and pydc ligands. In the later stage, the remained organic residue exothermically burns. The final decomposition products which identified by IR spectroscopy were the CuO.  相似文献

Two novel metal–organic coordination polymers [Cu(PIP)(bpea)(H2O)]·H2O (1) and [Cu(PIP)(1,4-bdc)] (2) have been obtained from hydrothermal reaction of copper(II) with the mixed ligands [biphenylethene-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid (bpea) for 1, benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid (1,4-H2bdc) for 2, and 2-phenylimidazo[4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline (PIP)]. Both complexes have been structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Structural analyses reveal that complex 1 possesses infinite one-dimensional zigzag chain, 2 exhibits a two-dimensional (4,4) network, both of which are extended into three-dimensional supramolecular network by weak interactions. The different structures of the title complexes illustrate the influence of the flexibility (the spacer length of carboxyl groups and the structural rigidity of the spacer) of organic dicarboxylate ligands on the formation of such coordination architectures. Moreover, the thermal properties and the voltammetric behavior of complexes 1 and 2 have been reported.  相似文献

A series of metal complexes with a tripodal ligand, TMPzA, have been synthesized and characterized, and their single crystal structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction techniques. It has been found that when pyridyl derivatives as auxiliary ligands are added to the reaction mixture, the tripodal ligand TMPzA loses a pendant arm and coordinates with the metal centers to form the complexes: [Cu(DMPzA)(2,2′-bipy)]·(ClO4)2 (1), [(DMPzA)Cu(μ-4,4′-bipy)Cu(DMPzA)]·(ClO4)4 (2), [(TMPzA)Cu(μ-H2DPC)Cu(DMPzA)]·(ClO4)2 (3), [(DMPzA)Co(μ-H2DPC)Co(TMPzA)]·(ClO4)2 (4) [TMPzA = tris(3,5-bimethyl-pyrazolymethyl)amine; bipy = bipyridine; H2DPC = pyridyl-2,6-bicarboxylate; DMPzA = bis(3,5-bimethyl-pyrazolmethyl)amine]. In order to investigate the effect of the pyridyl ring on the cleavage of the pendant arm in the tripodal ligand, a fifth complex, [(TMPzA)Co(μ-HZPC)Co(TMPzA)·(H2O)2]·(ClO4)3 (5), has been prepared by using pyrazole-carboxylate (HZPC) instead of pyridyl derivatives, and its crystal structure has been determined. It has been found that the pendant arm in TMPzA ligand has not been removed in complex 5. The results show that the complexes with TMPzA have a strong ability to recognize pyridine compounds in methanol solvent, and they have potential application for molecular devices in the future. The cleavage mechanism has been studied by DFT calculations and ESI-MS spectra.  相似文献

In our efforts to tune the structures of Mn(II) complexes by selection of organic carboxylic acid ligands, six new complexes [Mn(PIP)2Cl2] (1), [Mn(PIP)2(4,4′-bpdc)(H2O)]·2H2O (2), [Mn(PIP)2(1,4-bdc)] (3), [Mn(PIP)(1,3-bdc)] (4), [Mn(PIP)2(2,6-napdc)]·H2O (5), and [Mn(PIP)(1,4-napdc)]·H2O (6) were obtained, where PIP=2-phenylimidazo[4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline, 4,4′-H2bpdc=biphenyl-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid, 1,4-H2bdc=benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid, 1,3-H2bdc=benzene-1,3-dicarboxylic acid, 2,6-H2napdc=2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, 1,4-H2napdc=1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid. All complexes have been structurally characterized by IR, elemental analyses, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Structural analyses show that complexes 1 and 2 possess mononuclear structures, complexes 3, 4, and 5 feature chain structures, and complex 6 exhibits a 2D (4,4) network. The structural difference of 16 indicates that organic carboxylate anions play important roles in the formation of such coordination architectures. Furthermore, the thermal properties of complexes 16 and the magnetic property of 4 have been investigated.  相似文献

The XRD structure and the influence of the conformation in the molecular orbitals of the pteridine-benzoylhydrazone ligand (BZLMH = benzoylhydrazone of 6-acetyl-1,3,7-trimethyllumazine, lumazine = (1H,3H)-pteridin-2,4-dione) have been studied. Complexes of BZLMH with nickel(II), zinc(II) and mercury(II) have been prepared and spectroscopically characterized by IR, NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy; also XRD studies have allowed to establish two different coordinative patterns in the complexes [Ni3(BZLMH)3(OH)(H2O)(CH3CN)2](ClO4)5 · 2H2O · CH3CN (2) and [Zn(NO3)(BZLMH)(H2O)](NO3) (3). Compound (2) is a trinuclear hydroxo-centered complex with a central hydroxo group bridging the three nickel(II) ions. The [Ni33-OH)]5+ core is planar with the benzoylhydrazone ligands coordinated in the bis-bidentate [O(4),N(5)]-[N(61),O(63)] mode. The zinc(II) compound displays a BPT coordination geometry in which the BZLMH ligand acts in a tridentate fashion using N(5), N(61) and O(63) donor atoms. Fluorescence spectroscopic properties of benzoylhydrazone (BZLMH) are studied and the fluorescence band shift and changes in intensity is modulated by complexation with different metal ions (Ni2+, Zn2+ and Hg2+), so the binding is signaled such a possible cause.  相似文献

Three new organic–inorganic hybrid compounds constructed from Keggin-type polyanions and transition metal complexes, [Mn(2,2′-bipy)3]1.5[BW12O40Mn(2,2′-bipy)2(H2O)]·0.25H2O (1), [Fe(2,2′-bipy)3]1.5[BW12O40Fe(2,2′-bipy)2(H2O)]·0.5H2O (2) and [Cu2(phen)2(OH)2]2H[Cu(H2O)2{BW12O40Cu0.75(phen)(H2O)}2]·1.5H2O (3), have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TGA and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural and both exhibit monosupporting polyoxometalate cluster structure, each of which contains a [BW12O40]5− cluster decorated by one transition metal complex. Compound 3 contains a bisupporting polyoxometalate cluster anion where two {Cu0.75(phen)(H2O)}0.75+ fragments are supported on the polyoxometalate dimer {Cu(H2O)2(BW12O40)2}8−, this represents the first bisupporting polyoxometalate cluster based on a Keggin-type polyoxometalate dimer, which are further packed together via π–π stacking contacts into an extended 1-D chain.  相似文献

Two new coordination polymers, [Ag2(barb)(pipet)]n (1) and {Na3[Ag2(barb)2](pippr)·2H2O}n (2) (where H2barb, pipet and Hpippr are 5,5-diethylbarbituric acid, N-piperidineethanol and 1,3-bis(4-piperidyl)propane, respectively) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, thermal analysis and X-ray single-crystal diffraction techniques. Silver(I) ions in complexes 1 and 2 are bridged by barb dianions, leading to one-dimensional coordination polymers. In 1, the barb ligand acts as a tetradentate bridging ligand, while in 2 as a bidendate bridging ligand. The pipet ligand behaves as a bidentate chelating donor, whereas the pippr anion is not involved in coordination and remains as a counter-ion. The one-dimensional chains of 1 and 2 are further extended into supramolecular networks. Spectral and thermal analysis data for 1 and 2 are in agreement with the crystal structures.  相似文献

Three new copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt (II) dinuclear complexes with a bis-amide ligand derived from tartaric acid have been prepared and characterized. For this purpose, the ligand (R,R)-(+)-di-N,N′-methylpyridino-tartramide (dmpt) was synthesized via the classical aminolysis of (R,R)-(+)-dimethyltartrate with pyridylmethylamine. The molecular structures of the complexes Na[Cu2(dmptH−3)(CO3)] · 8H2O (1) and [Ni2(dmptH−2)2] · 9.75H2O (2) were elucidated by X-ray diffraction, and the complex [Co2(dmptH−3)(μ-OH)] · NaClO4 · 5H2O (3) by XAS. The crystal structure of (1) shows that the two metallic centres are in a square planar environment. Each copper(II) is bound to pyridyl and deprotonated amidic nitrogen atoms and to the oxygen atoms of hydroxyl and carbonato groups. In complex (2), both nickel atoms are in a distorted octahedral environment with an identical set of donors atoms, N4O2, coming from four nitrogen atoms of two pyridylmethylamido moieties and two oxygen donor atoms of alcohol groups. XAS analysis of complex (3) allows us to propose a CoN2O4 chromophore, with two nitrogen atoms coming from pyridyl and amidic groups and two bridged oxygen atoms from a deprotonated alcohol group and an hydroxyl group; the hexacoordination is achieved by two water molecules. The spectroscopic, electrochemical and magnetic properties of these complexes were investigated.  相似文献

Cyanide-bridged trinuclear heterometallic Ag(I)-Mn(III) complex {[Mn(TClPP)(H2O)]2[Ag(CN)2]}2 · 2Br · 2C3H6O · 3H2O (I) and ion-pair complex {[Mn(TClPP)(CH3OH)2][Ag(CN)2]} · 0.5H2O (II) have been synthesized with [Mn(TClTPP)(H2O)2]Br (H2TClTPP = meso-tetra(4-chlorophenyl)porphyrin) as assembling segment and K[Ag(CN)2] as building block by using different crystallization method. These two complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and X-ray structure determination. In the trinuclear complex I, [Ag(CN)2]? as bidentate ligand coordinates with the two central Mn(III) atom of [Mn(TClPP)(H2O)2]+ through its two trans cyanide groups to form the complex cation of [Mn(TClPP)(H2O)]2[Ag(CN)2]+, which further constructs the neutral complexes with the help of one Br? as balanced anion. For the ion-pair complex II composed by free [Mn(TClPP)(CH3OH)2]+ cation and free [Ag(CN)2]? anion, it can be linked into one-dimensional supramolecular structure with the dependence of the intermolecular O-H...N and O-H...O hydrogen bond interactions.  相似文献

1-Alkyl-2-{(o-thioalkyl)phenylazo}imidazole (SRaaiNR/, 1) reacts with Co(ClO4)2·6H2O to form [Co(SRaaiNR/)2](ClO4)2 (2). The single crystal X-ray structure of one of the complexes of 2 shows a tridentate chelation N(imidazole), N(azo), S(thioether) system. In the structure one of ClO4 anions shows disorder and forms an (imidazole)C–H···O(ClO3) interaction leading to a 1-D chain. Co(OAc)2.4H2O and SRaaiNR/ react in the presence of NH4SCN (1:1:2 mole ratio) in methanol and the complex [Co(SRaaiNR/)2(SCN)2] (3) has been separated. The single crystal X-ray structure determination has established the structure of the complexes in which the ligand SRaaiNR/ acts in a bidentate N(imidazole), N(azo) chelation mode. A cyclic voltammogram shows a Co(III)/Co(II) oxidative response at 0.6–0.8 V and azo reductions. DFT computation using optimized geometry support the electronic spectral and redox properties of the complexes.  相似文献

Six new organoantimony(V) complexes containing various isomers of fluoromethylbenzoate ligands [RC6H3COO]2SbPh3 and [RC6H3COO]SbPh4 [R = 3-F-4-(CH3) (1, 4), 4-F-2-(CH3) (2, 5), 5-F-2-(CH3) (3, 6)] have been synthesized by the reactions of triphenylantimony(V) dichloride or tetraphenylantimony(V) bromide with various isomers of fluoromethylbenzoate ligands in 1:2 or 1:1 stoichiometries. All the complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR [1H, 13C and 19F] studies. The crystal structures of complexes 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 have been determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The structure of complexes show that the five-coordinated antimony(V) atom adopts a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. Furthermore, weak but significant intermolecular C–H···O, C–H···F hydrogen bonds, C–H···pi stacking lead to aggregation and assembly of these complexes into 1D and 2D supramolecular frameworks.  相似文献

[TiCl2(salen)] (1) reacts with AlMe3 (1:2) to give the heterometallic Ti(III) and Ti(IV) complexes [Ti{(μ-Cl)(AlMe2)}{(μ-Cl)(AlMe2X)}(salen)] (X=Me or Cl) (2) and [TiMe{(μ-Cl)(AlCl2Me)}(salen)] (3). Addition of diethyl ether to 3 affords [Ti(Me)Cl(salen)] (4). The analogous reaction of [TiBr2(salen)] (5) gives the crystallographically characterised [Ti{(μ-Br)(AlMe2)}{(μ-Br)(AlMe2X)}(salen)] (X=Me or Br) (6) and [Ti(Me)Br(salen)] (7) in a single step, whilst the comparable reaction of [TiCl2{(3-MeO)2salen}] (8) with AlMe3 yields [Ti(Me)Cl{(3-MeO)2salen}] (9) with no evidence of titanium(III) species. Reactivity of both halide and methyl groups of 4 has been probed using magnesium reduction, SbCl5 and AgBF4 halide abstraction and SO2 insertion reactions. Hydrolysis of [Ti(Me)X(L)] complexes affords μ-oxo species [TiX(L)]2(μ-O) [X=Cl, L=salen (13); X=Br, L=salen (14); X=Cl, L=(3-MeO)2salen (15)].  相似文献

The article describes the synthesis and single-crystal X-ray analysis of two sulfato and one thiocyanato copper(II) complex with 2-acetylpyridine S-methylisothiosemicarbazone (HL) of the formulae [Cu(HL)SO4(H2O)]·H2O (1), [Cu2(HL)2(μ-SO4)2]·2H2O (2) and [Cu(HL)(NCS)(SCN)] (3), as well as the structure of the protonated ligand H2L+I. Complexes 1 and 2 were obtained from the reaction of aqueous/methanolic CuSO4·5H2O and ethanolic/methanolic H2L+I solutions, respectively. Complex 3 was synthesized by the reaction of methanolic solutions of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, the ligand and NH4SCN, with the addition of triethyl orthoformate. All three complexes have a slightly deformed square-pyramidal structure (τav = 0.15) with the tridentate NNN neutral ligand in the basal plane. In complexes 1 and 3 the apical position is occupied by the oxygen atom of the monodentate SO4 group, or the sulfur atom of the SCN group. Thanks to the hydrogen bonds, complex 3 may be thought of as having a pseudo-dimeric structure. In the authentic centrosymmetric dimer 2, the oxygen atoms of both SO4 groups occupy also the apical position of both coordination polyhedra, as well as an equatorial position. Complexes 1 and 3 have μeff values characteristic of magnetically isolated mononuclear Cu(II) complexes. In contrast to them, complex 2 has a μeff value of 1.57 BM, which is in agreement with its dinuclear structure. All the complexes, in addition to the X-ray analysis and magnetic measurements, were characterized by IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy and by thermal analysis.  相似文献

Three inorganic–organic composite sandwich-type phosphotungstates [Ni(tepa)(H2O)]4H2[Ni4(H2O)2(α-B-PW9O34)2]·8H2O (1), (enH2)3[Ni2(H2O)10][Ni4(H2O)2(α-B-PW9O34)2]·en·8H2O (2) and (enH2)10[Mn4(H2O)2(α-B-PW9O34)2]2·20H2O (3) (tepa=tetraethylenepentamine and en=ethylenediamine) have been synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of the trivacant Keggin polyoxoanion [α-A-PW9O34]9− with Ni2+ or Mn2+ ions in the presence of tepa or en and structurally characterized by IR spectra, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility. X-ray crystallographic analyses indicate that they all contain the classical tetra-M sandwiched polyoxoanions [M4(H2O)2(α-B-PW9O34)2]10− (M=Ni2+ or Mn2+) and nickel-organoamine cations or organoamine cations work as the charge balance ions. The tetra-M clusters in 1, 2 and 3 exhibit the familiar structural type of a β-junction at the sites of metal incorporation. The study of magnetic property of 1 is indicative of a typical ferromagnetic coupling between Ni2+ cations.  相似文献

One homochiral 1D coordination polymer [Cu(ATIBDC)(2,2′-bipy)]·3H2O·CH3OH (1) and three achiral 1D coordination polymers: [Cd(ATIBDC)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)]·3H2O (2), [Cd(ATIBDC)(phen)(H2O)]·4H2O (3), and [Mn(ATIBDC)(phen)2]·5H2O (4) have been synthesized and characterized (H2ATIBDC=5-amino-2,4,6-triiodoisophthalic acid, 2,2′-bipy=2,2′-bipyridine, and phen=1,10-phenanthroline). Extended high dimensional network architectures are further constructed with the help of weak secondary interactions, such as hydrogen bonding, aromatic stacking, and halogen bonding (C-I…π and C-I…N/O). Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system with chiral space group P2(1) and exhibits a right-handed 21 helical chain structure. The homochirality of 1 was confirmed by CD spectrum. Interestingly, two new configurations of decameric water cluster are found in 3 and 4. The acyclic tetrameric cluster (H2O)3(CH3OH) in 1 and (H2O)4 in 2 array into highly ordered helical infinite chains. Thermal stabilities of all the complexes have been studied. Solid state fluorescent properties of the Cd(II) complexes have been explored.  相似文献

In order to study the effects of R group on Fe–Hg interactions and 31P chemical shifts, the structures of mononuclear complexes Fe(CO)3(PPh2R)2 (R=pym:1, fur: 2, py: 3,thi: 4; pym=pyrimidine, fur=furyl, py=pyridine, thi=thiazole) and binuclear complexes [Fe(CO)3(PPh2R)2(HgCl2)] (R=pym: 5, fur: 6, py: 7, thi: 8) were studied using the density functional theory (DFT) PBE0 method. The 31P chemical shifts were calculated by PBE0-GIAO method. Nature bond orbital (NBO) analyses were also performed to explain the nature of the Fe–Hg interactions. The conclusions can be drawn as follows: (1) The complexes with nitrogen donor atoms are more stable than those with O or S atoms. The more N atoms there are, the higher is the stabilility of the complex. (2) The Fe–Hg interactions play a dominant role in the stabilities of the complexes. In 5 or 6, thereisa σ-bond between Fe and Hg atoms. However, in 7 and 8, the Fe–Hg interactions act as σP–FenHg and σC–FenHg delocalization. (3) Through Fe→Hg interactions, there is charge transfer from R groups towards the P, Fe, and Hg atoms, which increases the electron density on P nucleus in binuclear complexes. As a result, compared with their mononuclear complexes, the 31P chemical shifts in binuclear complexes show some reduction.  相似文献
