Experience with the COMPASS Conditions Data Base

The COMPASS experiment at CERN is starting data taking in summer 2001,The COMPASS off-line framework(CORAL)will use the CERN Conditions Data Base(CDB)to handle time dependent quantities like calibration constants and data from the slow control system.We describe the use of the CDB within CORAL and the fullscale performance tests on the COMPASS Computing Farm(CCF),The CDB has been interfaced to the SCADA PVSS slow control system.To continuously transfer all the data to the CDB and make them available to the users,We describe this interface,a feasibility study performed using mock data and we predict the expected performance.

Managing the BaBar Object Oriented Database

The BaBer experiment stores its data in an Object oriented federated database supplied by Objectivity/DB(tm),this database is surrently 350TB in size and is expected to increase considerably as the experiment matures.Management of this database requires careful planning and specialized tools in order to make the data available to physicists in an efficient and timely manner,We discuss the operational issues and management tools that were developed during the previous run to deal with this vast quantity of data at SLAC.

电源监测系统为兰州重离子加速器装置(HIRFL)机器研究、自动调束、深度学习提供重要的实时数据，在对HIRFL进行EPICS升级过程中，重新设计电源监测系统，采用分布式的设计布局，形成一种由上层、中间件、底层构成的拓展架构，实现上层数据的中间件处理、下层参数的中间件统一下发，避免上层非法参数对下层设备的不利影响，简化下层异常的处理；为了调束方便，整合显示界面，优化不同功能界面上大数据量显示的难题，提高显示的流畅度；为了完成数据的后台分析，搭建非关系型数据库集群，实现重要数据多副本、实时数据分片多节点存储，提高数据安全性及数据库读写速度，避免复杂的数据库表结构设置，拓展数据库集群优化及节点增加。

Querying Large Physics Data Sets Over an Information Grid

Optimising use of the Web(WWW) for LHC data analysis is a complex problem and illustrates the challenges arising from the integration of and computation across massive ampunts of information distributed worldwide.Finding the right piece of information can,at times,be extremely time-consuming,if not impossible,SO-called Grids have been proposed to facilitate LHC computing and many groups have embarked on studies of data replication,data migration and netwroking plhilosophies.Other aspects such as the role of moddleware‘ for Grids are emerging as requiring research.This paper positions the need for appropriate middleware that enables users to resolve physics queries across massive data sets.It identifies the role of meta-data for query resolution and the importance of Information Grids for high-energy physics analysis rather than just computational or Data Grids,This paper identifies software that is being implemented at CERN to enable the querying of very large collaborating HEP data-sets,initially being employed for the construction of CMS detectors.

个人健康管理系统数据库的设计与实现

个人健康管理系统能够帮助人们获得大量有价值的健康信息,为了实现一款安全、高效的个人健康管理系统,在充分考虑用户实际需求的前提下,对该系统数据库进行了设计与实现。首先对系统数据库进行了全面的需求分析,然后进行概念结构设计,形成实体联系(E-R)图,并将(E-R)图进行逻辑结构的转换,根据三范式的要求形成数据关系表,同时,在设计过程中通过牺牲一定存储空间的反范式操作,来换取更加快速的查询速度。通过上述方法,最终设计并实现了一款个人健康信息数据库。该数据库能够满足个人健康管理系统的实际开发需求,并且保证系统的查询运行效率,让用户能够更加方便,快捷的使用该系统对健康数据进行管理,达到帮助用户获得更多、更有价值的健康信息的目的。

A Multi Purpose DAQ System Developed for the nTOF Commissioning

The neutron Time Of Flight (nTOF) facility at CERN is a high flux spallation neutron source commissioned in Nov 2000 and APr 2001.For the commissioning phases an innovative multipurpose DAQ system was developed and used.This system is capable of handling high data rated(10Mb/s) with the use of the National Instruments PCI-VXI interface board to communicate with the VME crates.The graphical user interface is based on Java^TM and ROOT allowing immediate visualization of the data and providing a flexible way of creating configurations for various experimental setups.     

HepMC＿Contrib：Persistent Interface Package for HepMC

A persistent interface package Hep MC_Contrib is developed for the C Monte Carlo event class library HepMC.HepMC_Contrib package provides an interface to user programs for storing /retrieving HepMC event records to/from Objectivity database,HepMC_Contrib is designed to utilise the standard features of HepODBMS as much as possible,Two types of implementation of class design were tested to reduce the size of the database,At last,the performance of the package is discussed in terms of the size of database.
