This article describes the synthesis and characterization of new amphiphilic polymer conetworks containing hydrophilic poly(2,3‐dihydroxypropyl methacrylate) or poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate (PEGMA) and hydrophobic polyisobutylene chains. This conetworks were prepared by a two‐step polymer synthesis. In the first step, a cationic copolymer of isobutylene and 3‐isopropenyl‐α,α‐dimethylbenzyl isocyanate (IDI) was prepared. The isocyanate groups of the IB‐IDI random copolymer were subsequently transformed in situ to methacrylate (MA) groups in reaction with 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA). In the second step, the resulting MA‐multifunctional PIB‐based crosslinker, PIB(MA)n, with an average functionality of approximately four per chain, was copolymerized with 2,3‐dihydroxypropyl methacrylate or poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate by radical mechanism in tetrahydrofuran giving rise to amphiphilic conetworks containing 11–60 mol % of DHPMA or 10–12 mol % of PEGMA. The synthesized conetworks were characterized with solid‐state 13C‐NMR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. The amphiphilic nature of the conetworks was proved by swelling in both water and n‐heptane. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 45: 4074–4081, 2007  相似文献

Hydrogen bonding self‐assemblies were formed in an aqueous medium from a pair of an amphiphilic ABA triblock copolymer and a hydrophobic homopolymer, both with a triple hydrogen bonding site that was complementary to each other and precisely placed at the main‐chain center: (PEGMA)m–(MMA)n– ADA –(MMA)n–(PEGMA)m and (MMA)p– DAD –(MMA)p ( A = hydrogen acceptor; D = hydrogen donor; PEGMA: PEG methacrylate; MMA: methyl methacrylate). The polymers were synthesized by the ruthenium‐catalyzed living radial polymerization with bifunctional initiators (Br– ADA –Br and Cl– DAD –Cl) aiming at pinpoint chain center functionalization to give a symmetric segmental sequence; ADA and DAD initiators were derived from 2,6‐diaminopyridine and thymine, respectively. On mixed equimolar in tetrahydrofuran (THF), both polymers spontaneously associated, and the apparently 1:1 assembly further grew into higher aggregate particles on subsequent addition of water. The aggregates in water/THF were relatively stable and uniform in size, which most likely stems from the intermolecular complementary hydrogen bond interaction at polymer chain centers. In sharp contrast, an equimolar mixture of ADA ‐block polymer and DAD ‐free poly(MMA) in water/THF resulted in larger and irregular particles, and thus short‐lived to eventually collapse. These results indicate that, however structurally marginal, precise pinpoint functionalization of macromolecular chains allows stable self‐assemblies via complementary hydrogen bond interaction even in aqueous media. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The amphiphilic heterograft copolymers poly(methyl methacrylate‐co‐2‐(2‐bromoisobutyryloxy)ethyl methacrylate)‐graft‐(poly(acrylic acid)/polystyrene) (P(MMA‐co‐BIEM)‐g‐(PAA/PS)) were synthesized successfully by the combination of single electron transfer‐living radical polymerization (SET‐LRP), single electron transfer‐nitroxide radical coupling (SET‐NRC), atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), and nitroxide‐mediated polymerization (NMP) via the “grafting from” approach. First, the linear polymer backbones poly(methyl methacrylate‐co‐2‐(2‐bromoisobutyryloxy)ethyl methacrylate) (P(MMA‐co‐BIEM)) were prepared by ATRP of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and subsequent esterification of the hydroxyl groups of the HEMA units with 2‐bromoisobutyryl bromide. Then the graft copolymers poly(methyl methacrylate‐co‐2‐(2‐bromoisobutyryloxy)ethyl methacrylate)‐graft‐poly(t‐butyl acrylate) (P(MMA‐co‐BIEM)‐g‐PtBA) were prepared by SET‐LRP of t‐butyl acrylate (tBA) at room temperature in the presence of 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidin‐1‐yloxyl (TEMPO), where the capping efficiency of TEMPO was so high that nearly every TEMPO trapped one polymer radicals formed by SET. Finally, the formed alkoxyamines via SET‐NRC in the main chain were used to initiate NMP of styrene and following selectively cleavage of t‐butyl esters of the PtBA side chains afforded the amphiphilic heterograft copolymers poly(methyl methacrylate‐co‐2‐(2‐bromoisobutyryloxy)ethyl methacrylate)‐graft‐(poly(t‐butyl acrylate)/polystyrene) (P(MMA‐co–BIEM)‐g‐(PtBA/PS)). The self‐assembly behaviors of the amphiphilic heterograft copolymers P(MMA‐co–BIEM)‐g‐(PAA/PS) in aqueous solution were investigated by AFM and DLS, and the results demonstrated that the morphologies of the formed micelles were dependent on the grafting density. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of amphiphilic cationic random copolymers, namely poly[2‐(methacryloyloxy)ethyl trimethylammonium chloride‐co‐stearyl methacrylate] or poly(MADQUAT‐co‐SMA), have been synthesized via conventional free‐radical copolymerization using 2,2′‐azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator and n‐dodecanethiol as chain transfer agent. The resultant products were then characterized by FT‐IR, 1H NMR, MALDI‐TOF MS measurements. From the number‐average molecular weights of the copolymers, we can conclude that these copolymers have oligomeric structure with a limited number of hydrophilic and hydrophobic moieties in a short polymer chain. The reactivity ratios (rMADQUAT = 0.83, rSMA = 0.25) between the hydrophilic MADQUAT monomer and the hydrophobic SMA monomer were calculated by the Finemann and Ross method, which was based on the results of 1H NMR analysis. The surface activity of the random copolymers was studied by the combination of surface tension and contact angle measurement, and the results indicated that these copolymers possess relatively high surface activity. The critical aggregation concentrations (cac) of the copolymers in aqueous solution were determined by fluorescence probe method as well as surface tension measurement. The different nanoparticles of poly(MADQUAT‐co‐SMA) copolymers formed in pure water or ethanol‐water mixture were proved by the particle size and size distribution in the measurement of dynamic light scattering (DLS). Furthermore, using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), we could observe various self‐assembly morphologies of these random copolymer. All these results show that the amphiphilic cationic random copolymers have a good self‐assembly behavior, even if they are ill‐defined copolymers. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ethyl cellulose graft poly(poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate) (EC‐g‐P(PEGMA)) amphiphilic copolymers were synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, and gel permeation chromatography. Reaction kinetics analysis indicated that the graft copolymerization is living and controllable. The self‐assembly and thermosensitive property of the obtained EC‐g‐P(PEGMA) amphiphilic copolymers in water were investigated by dynamic light scattering, transmission electron microscopy, and transmittance. It was found that the EC‐g‐P(PEGMA) amphiphilic copolymers can self‐assemble into spherical micelles in water. The size of the micelles increases with the increase of the side chain length. The spherical micelles show thermosensitive properties with a lower critical solution temperature around 65 °C, which almost independent on the graft density and the length of the side chains. The obtained EC‐g‐P(PEGMA) graft copolymers have both the unique properties of poly(ethylene glycol) and cellulose, which may have the potential applications in biomedicine and biotechnology. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this study, biodegradable shape‐memory polymers—polylactide‐co‐poly(glycolide‐co‐caprolactone) multiblock (PLAGC) copolymers—were synthesized by the coupling reaction of both macrodiols of polylactide (PLLA‐diol) and poly(glycolide‐co‐caprolactone) (PGC‐diol) in the presence of 1,6‐hexanediisocyanate as coupling agent. The copolymers formed were found to be thermoplastic and easily soluble in common solvents. The compositions of the copolymers were determined by 1H‐NMR and the influences of segment lengths and contents of both macrodiols on the properties of the PLAGC copolymers were investigated. It was found that the copolymers had adjustable mechanical properties which depended on contents and segment lengths of both macrodiols. The copolymers showed such good shape‐memory properties that the strain fixity rate (Rf) and the strain recovery rate (Rr) exceed 90%. By means of adjusting the compositions of the copolymers, PLAGC copolymers with transition temperatures around 45°C could be obtained. The degradation rate determination showed that the PLAGC copolymers have fast degradation rates, the mechanical strengths of the PLAGC copolymers would be completely lost within 1–2 months depending on molecular weights and contents of the both segments of PLLA and PGC. Comb‐like amphiphilic poly(poly((lactic acid‐co‐glycolic acid)‐block‐poly(ethylene glycol)) methacrylate (poly((PLGA‐b‐PEG)MA)) copolymers were synthesized by radical polymerization. (PLGA‐b‐PEG)MA macromonomer was prepared by ring‐opening bulk polymerization of DL ‐lactide and glycolide using purified poly(ethylene glycol) monomethacrylate (PEGMA) as an initiator. (PLGA‐b‐PEG)MA macromonomer was copolymerized with PEGMA and/or acrylic acid (AA) by radical polymerization to produce comb‐like amphiphilic block copolymers. The molecular weight and chemical structure were investigated by GPC and 1H NMR. Poly((PLGA‐b‐PEG)MA) copolymer aqueous solutions showed gel–sol transition behavior with increasing temperature, and gel‐to‐sol transition temperature decreased as the compositions of the hydrophilic PEGMA and AA increased. The gel‐to‐sol transition temperature of the terpolymers of the poly((PLGA‐b‐PEG)MA‐co‐PEGMA‐co‐AA) also decreased when the pH was increased. The effective micelle diameter obtained from dynamic light scattering increased with increasing temperature and with increasing pH. The critical micelle concentration increased as the composition of the hydrophilic monomer component, PEGMA and AA, were increased. The spherical shape of the hyperbranched polymers in aqueous environment was observed by atomic force microscopy. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Classical molecular dynamics simulations were carried out to investigate the hydrophilic to hydrophobic transition of PNIPAM‐co‐PEGMA close to its lower critical solution temperature (LCST) in 1 M NaCl solution. PNIPAM‐co‐PEGMA is a copolymer of poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) and poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate (PEGMA). The copolymer consists of 38 monomer units of NIPAM with two PEGMA chains attached to the PNIAPM backbone. The PNIPAM‐co‐PEGMA was observed to go through the hydrophilic?hydrophobic conformational change for simulations at temperature slightly above its LCST. Na+ ions were found to bind strongly and directly with amide O, even more strongly with the O atoms on PEGAMS chains, whereas Cl? ions only exhibit weak interaction with the polymer. Significantly a novel caged stable metal‐organic complex involving a Na+ ion coordinated by six O atoms from the copolymer was observed after the PNIPAM‐co‐PEGMA copolymer went through conformational transition to form a hydrophobic folded structure. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Novel amphiphilic A14B7 multimiktoarm star copolymers composed of 14 poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) arms and 7 poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) arms with β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) as core moiety were synthesized by the combination of controlled ring‐opening polymerization (CROP) and atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). 14‐Arm star PCL homopolymers (CDSi‐SPCL) were first synthesized by the CROP of CL using per‐6‐(tert‐butyldimethylsilyl)‐β‐CD as the multifunctional initiator in the presence of Sn(Oct)2 at 125 °C. Subsequently, the hydroxyl end groups of CDSi‐SPCL were blocked by acetyl chloride. After desilylation of the tert‐butyldimethylsilyl ether groups from the β‐CD core, 7 ATRP initiating sites were introduced by treating with 2‐bromoisobutyryl bromide, which further initiated ATRP of tert‐butyl acrylate (tBA) to prepare well‐defined A14B7 multimiktoarm star copolymers [CDS(PCL‐PtBA)]. Their molecular structures and physical properties were in detail characterized by 1H NMR, SEC‐MALLS, and DSC. The selective hydrolysis of tert‐butyl ester groups of the PtBA block gave the amphiphilic A14B7 multimiktoarm star copolymers [CDS(PCL‐PAA)]. These amphiphilic copolymers could self‐assemble into multimorphological aggregates in aqueous solution, which were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, poly(methyl methacrylate‐co‐sodium sulfopropyl lauryl maleate‐co‐2‐hydroxy‐4‐(3‐methacryloxy‐2‐hydroxylpropoxy) benzophenone)/TiO2 (i.e., poly(MMA‐co‐M12‐co‐BPMA)/TiO2) composite particles were prepared by ultrasonically initiated emulsion polymerization. To study the dispersion and UV‐stability of the composite particles, laser diffraction particle size analyzer (LDPSA), ultraviolet‐visible absorption spectroscopy (UV‐vis), UV‐vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and the weight loss measurement were used. The results indicate that the dispersion of the poly(MMA‐co‐M12‐co‐BPMA)/TiO2 composite particles prepared by ultrasonically initiated emulsion polymerization is good. And the composite particles can absorb UV light; the ultraviolet absorption strength of poly(MMA‐co‐M12‐co‐BPMA) grafted onto the surface of TiO2 has not changed after UV irradiation while that of PMMA changed significantly. The UV absorption strength, weight loss, and Tg changes are in the order PMMA> poly(MMA‐co‐M12‐co‐BPMA) >PMMA grafted onto TiO2> poly(MMA‐co‐M12‐co‐BPMA) grafted onto TiO2. These results show that the ultrasonically initiated emulsion polymerization will enhance the UV stability of composite particles, and the UV‐stability of PMMA can be enhanced by the introduction of the organic UV‐stabilizer BPMA and the inorganic UV‐stabilizer titanium dioxide into the PMMA chains by covalent bond, and the effect of the BPMA and the TiO2 used together is better than that used, respectively. This article reports the synthesis of the block and graft copolymers using peroxygen‐containing poly(methyl methacrylate) (poly‐MMA) as a macroinitiator that was prepared from the atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of bis(4,4′‐bromomethyl benzoyl peroxide) (BBP). The effects of reaction temperatures on the ATRP system were studied in detail. Kinetic studies were carried out to investigate controlled ATRP for BBP/CuBr/bpy initiating system with MMA at 40 °C and free radical polymerization of styrene (S) at 80 °C. The plots of ln ([Mo]/[Mt]) versus reaction time are linear, corresponding to first‐order kinetics. Poly‐MMA initiators were used in the bulk polymerization of S to obtain poly (MMA‐b‐S) block copolymers. Poly‐MMA initiators containing undecomposed peroygen groups were used for the graft copolymerization of polybutadiene (PBd) and natural rubber (RSS‐3) to obtain crosslinked poly (MMA‐g‐PBd) and poly(MMA‐g‐RSS‐3) graft copolymers. Swelling ratio values (qv) of the graft copolymers in CHCl3 were calculated. The characterizations of the polymers were achieved by Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 1H‐nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), gel‐permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and the fractional precipitation (γ) techniques. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Cationic polymerization of tetrahydrofuran (THF) and epichlorohydrin (ECH) was performed with peroxy initiators synthesized from bis (4,4′‐bromomethyl benzoyl peroxide (BBP) or bromomethyl benzoyl t‐butyl peroxy ester (t‐BuBP) and AgSbF6 or ZnCl2 system at 0 °C to obtain the poly(THF‐b‐ECH) macromonomeric peroxy initiators. Kinetic studies were accomplished for poly(THF‐b‐ECH) initiators. Poly(THF‐b‐ECH‐b‐MMA) and poly(THF‐b‐ECH‐b‐S) block copolymers were synthesized by bulk polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and styrene (S) with poly(THF‐b‐ECH) initiators. The quantum chemical calculations for the block copolymers, the initiating systems of the cationic polymerization of THF and ECH were achieved using HYPERCHEM 7.5 program. The optimized geometries of the polymers were investigated with the quantum chemical calculations. Poly(THF‐b‐ECH) initiators having peroxygen groups were used for graft copolymerization of polybutadien (PBd) to obtain poly(THF‐b‐ECH‐g‐PBd) crosslinked graft copolymers. The graft copolymers were investigated by sol‐gel analysis. Swelling ratio values of the graft copolymers in CHCl3 were calculated. The characterizations of the polymers were achieved by FTIR, 1H NMR, GPC, SEM, TEM, and DSC techniques. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 48: 2896–2909, 2010  相似文献

We investigated the chemical fixation of carbon dioxide (CO 2) to a copolymer bearing epoxide and the application of the cyclic carbonate group containing copolymer to polymer blends. In the synthesis of poly[(2‐oxo‐1,3‐dioxolane‐4‐yl)methyl methacrylate‐co‐styrene] [poly(DOMA‐co‐St)] from the addition of CO 2 to poly(glycidyl methacrylate‐co‐styrene) [poly(GMA‐co‐St)], quaternary ammonium salts showed good catalytic activity at mild reaction conditions. The CO 2 addition reaction followed pseudo first‐order kinetics with the concentration of poly(GMA‐co‐St). In order to expand the applications of the CO 2 fixed copolymer, polymer blends of this copolymer with poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) or poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) were cast from N,N′‐dimethylformamide (DMF) solution. Miscibility of blends of poly(DOMA‐co‐St) with PMMA or PVC have been investigated both by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and visual inspection of the blends, and the blends were miscible over the whole composition ranges. The miscibility behaviors were also discussed in terms of FT‐IR spectra. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The triblock copolymer poly(ϵ‐caprolactone)‐block‐poly[(methyl methacrylate)‐co‐styrene]‐block‐poly(ϵ‐caprolactone) was synthesized by a combination of coordination polymerization and controlled radical mechanism. The poly(ϵ‐caprolactone) prepolymers (PCLBP) were first obtained by coordination polymerization using benzopinacol as the initiator and aluminium triisopropoxide as the promoter at room temperature. It was determined by means of UV and NMR spectroscopy that the benzopinacolate groups are left intact in the PCLBP prepolymers; no isomerization was found. The benzopinacolate groups incorporated into the poly(ϵ‐caprolactone) then initiate the copolymerization of styrene (St) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) via a controlled radical mechanism at 95°C. The desired block copolymers were characterized by GPC, IR, UV and NMR spectroscopy in detail.  相似文献

Novel block–graft copolymers [poly(styrene‐b‐ethylene‐co‐butylene‐b‐styrene)‐g‐poly(tert‐butyl acrylate)] were synthesized by the atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of tert‐butyl acrylate (tBA) with chloromethylated poly(styrene‐b‐ethylene‐co‐butylene‐b‐styrene) (SEBS) as a macromolecular initiator. The copolymers were composed of triblock SEBS as the backbone and tBA as grafts attached to the polystyrene end blocks. The macromolecular initiator (chloromethylated SEBS) was prepared by successive hydrogenation and chloromethylation of SEBS. The degree of chloromethylation, ranging from 1.6 to 36.5 mol % according to the styrene units in SEBS, was attained with adjustments in the amount of SnCl4 and the reaction time with a slight effect on the monodispersity of the starting material (SEBS). The ATRP mechanism of the copolymerization was supported by the kinetic data and the linear increase in the molecular weights of the products with conversion. The graft density was controlled with changes in the functionality of the chloromethylated SEBS. The average length of the graft chain, ranging from a few repeat units to about two hundred, was adjusted with changes in the reaction time and alterations in the initiator/catalyst/ligand molar ratio. Incomplete initiation was detected at a low conversion; moreover, for initiators with low functionality, sluggish initiation was overcome with suitable reaction conditions. The block–graft copolymers were hydrolyzed into amphiphilic ones containing poly(acrylic acid) grafts. The aggregation behavior of the amphiphilic copolymers was studied with dynamic light scattering and transmission electron microscopy, and the aggregates showed a variety of morphologies. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Biodegradable, amphiphilic, four‐armed poly(?‐caprolactone)‐block‐poly(ethylene oxide) (PCL‐b‐PEO) copolymers were synthesized by ring‐opening polymerization of ethylene oxide in the presence of four‐armed poly(?‐caprolactone) (PCL) with terminal OH groups with diethylzinc (ZnEt2) as a catalyst. The chemical structure of PCL‐b‐PEO copolymer was confirmed by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The hydroxyl end groups of the four‐armed PCL were successfully substituted by PEO blocks in the copolymer. The monomodal profile of molecular weight distribution by gel permeation chromatography provided further evidence for the four‐armed architecture of the copolymer. Physicochemical properties of the four‐armed block copolymers differed from their starting four‐armed PCL precursor. The melting points were between those of PCL precursor and linear poly(ethylene glycol). The length of the outer PEO blocks exhibited an obvious effect on the crystallizability of the block copolymer. The degree of swelling of the four‐armed block copolymer increased with PEO length and PEO content. The micelle formation of the four‐armed block copolymer was examined by a fluorescent probe technique, and the existence of the critical micelle concentration (cmc) confirmed the amphiphilic nature of the resulting copolymer. The cmc value increased with increasing PEO length. The absolute cmc values were higher than those for linear amphiphilic block copolymers. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Polyisobutylene‐b‐poly(N,N‐diethylacrylamide) (PIB‐b‐PDEAAm) well‐defined amphiphilic diblock copolymers were synthesized by sequential living carbocationic polymerization and reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. The hydrophobic polyisobutylene segment was first built by living carbocationic polymerization of isobutylene at ?70 ° C followed by multistep transformations to give a well‐defined (Mw/Mn = 1.22) macromolecular chain transfer agent, PIB‐CTA. The hydrophilic poly(N,N‐diethylacrylamide) block was constructed by PIB‐CTA mediated RAFT polymerization of N,N‐diethylacrylamide at 60 ° C to afford the desired well‐defined PIB‐b‐PDEAAm diblock copolymers with narrow molecular weight distributions (Mw/Mn ≤1.26). Fluorescence spectroscopy, transmission electron microscope, and dynamic light scattering (DLS) were employed to investigate the self‐assembly behavior of PIB‐b‐PDEAAm amphiphilic diblock copolymers in aqueous media. These diblock copolymers also exhibited thermo‐responsive phase behavior, which was confirmed by UV‐Vis and DLS measurements. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Hydroxy‐telechelic poly(methyl methacrylate)s of molecular weights below 5000 were obtained by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of methyl methacrylate followed by end‐capping with allyl alcohol via atom transfer radical addition (ATRA). As initiators for the ATRP, monofunctional initiators with an additional hydroxy group in the molecule or bifunctional initiators were employed. The successful synthesis of the hydroxy‐telechelic PMMA was proved by determination of their molecular weight using MALDI‐TOF‐MS. The efficiency of the end‐capping reaction was determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy using the allyl N‐(4‐tolyl)carbamate as end‐capping agent. Block copolymers comprising a poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) block and a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) block were prepared by ATRP using a macroinitiator on the PEO basis. The dormant species of the macroinitiator consists of the phenyl chloroacetate moiety which shows a high rate of initiation. The successful synthesis of the poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(methyl methacrylate) was proved by 1H NMR spectroscopy; the ratios of EO/MMA repeating units in the feed and the copolymer were nearly equal.  相似文献

Quasi‐solid state dye‐sensitized solar cells (QS‐DSSC) containing poly (methyl methacrylate‐co‐acrylonitrile) [P (MMA‐co‐AN)] gel electrolytes were fabricated. By tuning AN molar percentage in P (MMA‐co‐AN), the optimized polymeric gel electrolyte for fabricating QS‐DSSC can be obtained. QS‐DSSC containing polymeric gel electrolyte with 45 mol.% AN in P(MMA‐co‐AN) shows higher energy conversion efficiency than that of QS‐DSSCs containing polymeric gel electrolytes with either pure PMMA or PAN. So it presents an effective way to improve the photovoltaic performance of QS‐DSSC by tuning the components of polymeric gelling agent. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Nanophase‐separated poly(2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate)‐l‐polyisobutylene (PHEMA‐l‐PIB) amphiphilic conetworks were obtained by crosslinking α,ω‐bismethacrylate‐terminated polyisobutylene (PIB) via copolymerization with silylated 2‐hydroxyethyl methacylate, followed by the hydrolysis of the silylether groups. Morphology development of a sample containing 64% PIB was monitored by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and small‐angle X‐ray scattering. For comparison, the morphology of a sample containing 53% PIB was investigated by AFM. The dry conetworks exhibited hydrophilic and hydrophobic phases with average 8–10‐nm domain sizes and were swellable in water as well as in heptane. Swelling amphiphilic conetworks with aqueous cadmium–chloride solution followed by exposure to H2S resulted in nanosized CdS clusters located in the amphiphilic conetworks, that is, for the first time, new inorganic–organic hybrid materials composed of CdS semiconducting nanocrystals and PHEMA‐l‐PIB amphiphilic conetworks were prepared. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
