In a Hubert , with the aid of the postulated Gel'fand-Levitan-Marchenko quantum equations, one introduces the fields 1(x) and 2(x), which are the quantum analogues of the classical fields cosh (x) and sinh (x) in the sinh-Gordon model. It is shown that the fields j(x) satisfy the Wightman axioms, including the invariance relative to reflections of space-time and mutual local commutativity. In addition, one proves the asymptotic completeness of the theory and one computes explicitly the scattering operator. For a bounded regular Jordan domain in R 2, we introduce and study a new class of functions K() related on its Green function G. We exploit the properties of this class to prove the existence and the uniqueness of a positive solution for the singular nonlinear elliptic equation u+(x,u)=0, in D(), with u=0 on and uC(), where is a nonnegative Borel measurable function in ×(0,) that belongs to a convex cone which contains, in particular, all functions (x,t)=q(x)t ,>0 with nonnegative functions qK(). We give a new2 index theorem for the basic example of Toeplitz operators on the circle. The joint torsion, a non zero complex valued analytic index, of a pair of Fredholm Toeplitz operatorsT andT withH symbols is computed by residues in the disk, and is determined by a monodromy integral which specifies the isomorphism class of a flat line bundle on the circle. When the symbols and are rational a product of joint torsions identifies the isomorphism class of the bundle inH 1 (S 1,C *), and the identification extends by rational approximation to the case of smooth symbols defined on the circle.Partially supported by National Science Foundation grants to both authors.  相似文献

The discrete least squares approximant is used to approximate Fourier coefficients, and this complements the works of Gautschi on attenuation factors. The proximity is investigated of the solution of Cauchy's problem for the equation u t +((u))x= u xx ((u) > 0) to the solution of Cauchy's problem for the equation ut+ ((u))x= 0, when the solution of the latter problem has a finite number of lines of discontinuity in the strip 0 t T. It is proved that, everywhere outside a fixed neighborhood of the lines of discontinuity, we have |u–u| C, where the constant C is independent of. Zusammenfassung Die Effekte der Veränderung der elektrischen Leitfähigkeit der Wände auf eine magnetohydrodynamische Couetteströmung werden untersucht. Die Untersuchung wird durchgeführt unter der allgemeinen Voraussetzung verschiedener Dicken und Leitfähigkeiten der beiden Wände. Man findet, dass der Einfluss irgendwelcher Wandungsbedingungen durch die sog. elektrischen Leitfähigkeitsverhältnisse u und l wiedergegeben werden kann. In the framework of the theory of D. Kendall's delphic semigroups are considered problems of divisibility in the semigroup of convex characteristic functions on the semiaxis (0,).
