Line intensities at 150°K and 295°K, self-broadened half-widths at 171°K, 200°K, 250°K and 295°K, and hydrogen-broadened half-widths at 171°K, 200°K and 295°K have been measured in the ν1+v3 band of C2H2 at 1·525 μm. The absolute intensity of the band has been determined independently by employing the Wilson-Wells-Penner-Weber technique. Our best estimate for the absolute intensity of the band is Sv=7·82 ± 0·07 cm?2 atm?1 at 295°K. Line intensities calculated using this value of Sv are in good agreement with the measured intensities at the two extreme temperatures of 150°K and 295°K considered in the present study, thereby not suggesting any significant intensity anomalies. Line positions have been measured for the first time for this band for R(29)?P(25).  相似文献

The intensity decay of negative bands of N 2 + and of first positive bands of N2 in the auroral afterglow has been measured. An explanation, seeming possible for the decay curves of the first ones is proposed. By this the intensity decay in the beginning of the afterglow at high ionic densities is determined by the recombination of N 2 + with electrons. Later, the ambipolar diffusion of the charge carriers to the wall causes the time dependance. A value of the ambipolar diffusion coefficient in nitrogen, derived from the measurements is given by the relationD a ·p ≈ 124cm2 sec?1 Torr. The temperature of the charge carriers is estimated to be 313? K. The intensity decay of the pos. group in the afterglow seems mainly to be due to the diffusion of metastable particles to the wall.  相似文献

The pulsed electron electron double resonance (PELDOR) pulse sequence is applied to a three-spin system consisting of three radicals (Y D · , Y Z · and Q A ? ) generated in spinach PS II. The distance between YZ and QA has been determined to be 3.4 nm with the previously derived distances of the other radical pairs, 2.9 nm for Y D · -Y Z · and 3.9 nm for Y D · -Q A ? . This distance has been derived from the Y Z · -Q A ? radical pair trapped in YD-less mutants ofChlamydomonas reinhardtii. Furthermore the method was applied to the Y D · -Q A ? -Chl Z + system to find the unknown distance between QA and ChlZ. The derived distance was 3.4 nm. A triangular configuration was found in the membrane system that gives the relative positions of the electron transfer components.  相似文献

The secondary acceptor A1 of the electron transport chain(s) of photosystem (PS) I is a phylloquinone (vitamin K1, VK1). Pulse electron paramagnetic resonance and electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) experiments at X-band frequencies were performed on the photoaccumulated acceptor radical A 1 ·? and the radical pair state P 700 ·+ A 1 ·? in PS I ofThermosynechococcus elongatus. The data obtained were compared with data from the respective radical anion of VK1 in organic solvents. The unusualg tensor magnitude of A 1 ·? is explained by the hydrophobic binding pocket of this radical. The hyperfine couplings and the spin (and charge) density distribution is very different for A 1 .? in PS I and VK 1 ·? in frozen alcoholic solution. This is attributed to a rather strong one-sided hydrogen bond to A 1 ·? . The presence of a hydrogen bond to A 1 ·? has only a minor effect ong. The hyperfine coupling constants of A 1 ·? determined from the radical pair spectra deviate only slightly from those derived from photoaccumulated A 1 ·? in PS I treated with dithionite at high pH. ENDOR resonances of the proton in a H bond were detected and an estimate of the strength and geometry of this bond to A 1 ·? was obtained. The significance of the hydrogen bond and other (hydrophobic) interactions of A1 with the surrounding are briefly discussed.  相似文献

We have studied the hadronic production of charmed mesons in the NA 32 experiment at CERN. A special trigger together with a high resolution vertex detector consisting of charge coupled devices and silicon microstrip detectors allowed the selection of very clean samples of charmed mesons. We have collected 852 fully reconstructed decays: 60D s + K + K ?π+, 543D°→K ?π+ andK ?π+π?π+ as well as 249D +K ?π+π+ (or charge conjugate). 147 mesons out of our \({{D^0 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{D^0 } {\bar D^0 }}} \right. \kern-0em} {\bar D^0 }}\) sample were produced via chargedD * state. For all charmed mesons we determine the total production cross-section and study thex F andp t 2 distributions.  相似文献

It is shown that relaxation times for the excitation of metastable levels of Ba and Tl by collisons of the ground state atoms with carrier gases Ne and Ar can be measured with good accuracy behind reflected shock waves (2700≦T≦3300 °K) by means of two-channel atomic line absorption spectroscopy. Quenching cross-sections, which thus can be derived, cover in principle the range 10?14 cm2<Q<10?21 cm2. In collisions with Ar one finds for the deactivation of Ba(1 D 2)Q=1.2 · 10?19cm2, of Ba(3 D 1)Q=0.95 · 10?19 cm2 and of Tl(2 P 3/2)Q<5 · 10?21 cm2 without noticeable temperature dependence. From this follows a) (on the basis of the Landau-Zener formula) that the pseudo-crossing of the potential energy curves of Ba-Ar takes place within 0.25 eV of the Ba(D) levels and b) that spin-orbit coupling is not rate controlling in the Ba(3 D 11 S 0) transition. The ratio of cross-sections for quenching of Ba(1 D 2) by Ar and Ne is about 3, suggesting that the polarizabilities of the noble gas collision partners play a major rôle in the transition probabilities. The mean self-quenching cross-sectionQ=5 · 10?16 cm2 of Tl(2 P 3/2) at 3000 °K is about the same as the one reported for 1000 °K and it exceeds the self-quenching cross-section of metastable Ba by at least one order of magnitude.  相似文献

The NA 32 experiment at the CERN SPS has collected 38 million hadronic interactions with incident 200 GeV/c π?,K ? andp beam. Using a segmented silicon active target and a telescope of high resolution silicon microstrip counters we have selected fully reconstructedD 0K ?π+,D 0K ?π+π+π?,D +K ?π+π+,D s + K ? K +π+π+ and charge conjugate decays. The integrated cross-sections forD o,D + D *+ andD s + meson production and the dependence of the cross-section on longitudinal and transverse momentum of theD are presented.  相似文献

ZnO single crystals were doped with Mn and Co by diffusion. In the temperature range from 1400–1600 K the Mn and Co-diffusion-constants were determined:D Mn=3.2 · 10?3 exp (?2.87 eV/kT) cm2 sec?1 andD Co=1·10exp(?3.98 eV/kT) cm2 sec?1. The Mn doped ZnO crystals show a characteristic colour due to an absorption near the intrinsic absorption edge. The corresponding absorption spectra were measured forE⊥c andE∥c. A discussion of different absorption mechanism shows that a charge-transfer transition is responsible for this absorption.  相似文献

The first observation of the ESR spectra of Mn2+, entering substitutionally for Fe2+ in the Van Vleck paramagnet FeS2 (polycrystals), is reported. The data from 5 to 295 K fits the spin-Hamiltonian hs = gβH·S + [S2z?13 S(S + 1)] + AS·I, with g = 2.000 ± 0.001, A/β = ?95.0 ± 0.5 Oe and D/β varying from 50 Oe (5K) to 59 Oe (295 K). The temperature dependence of D can be described in terms of a single phonon-mode with frequency ? 145 cm?1.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the spin-Hamiltonian parameters for substitutional Cr3+-ions in single crystal rutile (TiO2) has been studied. The measurements were performed at about 9·2 GHz and 35 GHz on a fine powder of single crystalline Cr-TiO2 for three temperatures, 95, 200, and 295°K. It was found that the spin-Hamiltonian parameter D diminishes with decreasing temperature in the temperature interval studied. The behaviour of g and E is more complex. A tentative extrapolation of the data towards 0°K has been made.  相似文献

In this work, by using the respective advantages of W- and X-band electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy techniques to investigate electron transport processes, we have studied the light-induced redox transients of the primary electron donor P700 and the secondary acceptor A1 in photosystem (PS) I complexes of intact cyanobacterial cellsSynechocystis sp. PCC 6803. We found that the kinetic behavior of the cation radical P700 ·+ generated by illumination with continuous light, and the EPR intensity of the radical pair P700 ·+A 1 ·? generated upon laser pulse illumination strongly depend on the illumination prehistory (either the sample was frozen in the dark or during illumination). Both these processes were sensitive to the presence of electron transport inhibitors which block electron flow between the two photosystems. In line with our X-band EPR data on the kinetics of light-induced redox transients of P700, our high-field W-band EPR study of the radical-pair state P700 ·+A 1 ·? shows that photosynthetic electron flow through the PS I reaction center is controlled both on the donor and on the acceptor side of PS I.  相似文献

The paper reports on the barrier mid-wave infrared InAs/InAsSb (xSb = 0.4) type-II superlattice detector operating below thermoelectrical cooling. AlAsSb with Sb composition, xSb = 0.97; barrier doping, ND < 2×1016 cm?3 leading to valence band offset below 100 meV in relation to the active layer doping, ND = 5×1015 cm?3 was proved to be proper material not introducing extra barrier in valence band in the analyzed temperature range in XBn architectures. The detectivity of the simulated structure was assessed at the level of ~ 1011 Jones at T ~ 100 K assuming absorber thickness, d = 3 μm. The detector’s architecture for high frequency response operation, τs = 420 ps (T ~ 77 K) was presented with a reduced active layer of d = 1 μm.  相似文献

The CuI 3d 94s5s 4 D-states, which lie above the ionization limit, were populated by stepwise collisional and laser excitation. With respect to their total angular momentum, the4 D-states have completely different decay modes. Whereas the lifetimesτ(4 D 7/2)=8.2(4)·10?9s andτ(4 D 1/2)=7.9(6)·10?9 s are determinrd by radiative transitions and were measured by time-resolved spectroscopy, the lifetimesτ(4 D 5/2)=1.59(6)·10?12s andτ(4 D 3/2)=1.28(5)·10?12s are due to autoionization and were deduced from the widths of the excitation signals observed by ion detection.  相似文献

We present the final results on the measurement of the masses and lifetimes of the mesonsD 0,D + andD s + in the NA32 experiment at the CERN SPS, using silicon microstrip detectors and charge-coupled devices for vertex reconstruction. We measure the following lifetimes: \(\tau _{D^0 } = 3.88 \pm _{0.21}^{0.23} \cdot 10^{ - 13} s\) using a sample of 479D°→K ?π+π?π+ and 162D°→K ?π+ decays; \(\tau _{D^ + } = 10.5 \pm _{0.72}^{0.77} \cdot 10^{ - 13} s\) with a sample of 317D +K ?π+π+ decays; \(\tau _{D_s^ + } = 4.69 \pm _{0.86}^{1.02} \cdot 10^{ - 13} s\) with a sample of 54D s + K + K ?π+ decays. We measure the following masses:m D 0=1864.6±0.3±1.0 MeV,m D +=1870.0±0.5±1.0 MeV and \(m_{D_s^ + } \) =1967.0±1.0±1.0 MeV.  相似文献

Within the perturbative-recombination model, the charge asymmetries in the D* +D* ?, D* 0D* 0, and D + s D ? s yields are estimated under the kinematical conditions of the COMPASS experiment. Corrections that arise owing to the mass of a light quark in a charmed meson are taken into account. The yield of D + s meaons is predicted to be large in relation to the yield of D ? s mesons.  相似文献

Based on own measurements of the decay of light intensity and electron density, a simple model for the auroral afterglow and the pink afterglow is proposed. To a certain extent the model can account for the influence of pressure and tube diameter on the behaviour of the afterglow. The first decay of the electron density towards the first minimum seems not to be influenced by creation processes for electrons during 3 to 15 ms. Therefore, the first decay can be used to measure the neutralization processes of electrons and positive ions. At pressures lower than 3 torr the electrons are removed by ambipolar diffusion with a rate given byD a ·p≈2100 torr·cm2·s?1. From this value an electron temperature of about 7200 °K could be derived. Assuming that ambipolar diffusion will remain the dominant loss process the time dependence of the electron creation rate has been evaluated. At a pressure of 1,75 torr the maximum electron creation rate was 4·1012 s?1·cm?3. At the same time the emission density rate of the first negative bands was found to be 2.7·1013 cm?3 s?1. During one decay process about five times more electrons are created than the initial number. To explain the proportionality found between the electron density and the emission of the first negative bands, it is assumed that the ions, presumable N 2 + -ions, are repeatedly excited to theB 2 Σ u + -state by metastables.  相似文献

We report on measurements of the7Li nuclear spin relaxation timeT 1 in solid lithium as a function of temperature (?170°C≦T≦+180°C) and Larmor frequency (450kHz≦v Li≦31.5 MHz). Using a relaxation model developed by Wolf and Cavelius and combining it with Seeger's diffusion formalism, the diffusion parameters for mono-and divacancy migration were evaluated by a least squares fit to the newly obtainedT 1 data as well as to previousT 1? measurements. The result for the self-diffusion coefficientD SD is given byD SD=D 10·exp(?Q 1/RT)·[1+D 21·exp(?Q 21/RT)], withD 10=0.038 cm2s?1,Q 1=12.0 kcal mol?1,D 21=250,Q 21=4 kcal mol?1 andR=1.985·10?3 kcal mol?1 degree?1. Due to the flexibility of Seeger's formula, which contrasts with the standard Arrhenius interpretation of diffusion, discrepancies between earlier high- and low-frequency NMR investigations were eliminated. Furthermore, an excellent agreement with available results from tracer experiments was achieved by taking into account the theoretical predictions of the isotope effect and the vacancy correlation factor.  相似文献

Positron lifetime spectra and angular correlation curves for seven fine-grained powders of Fe, Co, Ni, and W are analyzed. From the lifetime data, the positron diffusion constant in metals atT=300°K was found to beD +=(1.0±0.5)×10?2 cm2 sec?1. Measurements of the electrical conductivity, magnetoresistance, and Hall effect were performed on a n-type ferromagnetic semiconductor HgCr2?xInxSe4(x = 0.100) single crystal from 6.3 to 296 K in magnetic fields up to 1.19×l06A/m. The conductivity decreases rapidly near the Curie temperatureTc (≈120 K) as the temperature is raised. A large peak in the magnetoresistance is observed near Tc. The Hall effect measurements indicate that the temperature dependence of the conductivity and the magnetoresistance are due mostly to a change in electron mobility. The electron mobility is 1.2 × 10?2 m2/V · s at 6.3 K, and decreases rapidly near Tc with the rise in temperature. Then it increases slowly from 5.5 × 10?4 m2/V · s at 160 K to 7.5 × 10?4 m2/V · s at 241 K. This temperature dependence of the electron mobility can be explained in terms of the spin-disorder scattering which takes into account the exchange interaction between charge carriers and localized magnetic moments.  相似文献
