A chord diagram is a set of chords of a circle such that no pair of chords has a common endvertex. A chord diagram E is called nonintersecting if E contains no crossing. For a chord diagram E having a crossing S={x1x3,x2x4}, the expansion of E with respect to S is to replace E with E1=(E?S){x2x3,x4x1} or E2=(E?S){x1x2,x3x4}. For a chord diagram E, let f(E) be the chord expansion number of E, which is defined as the cardinality of the multiset of all nonintersecting chord diagrams generated from E with a finite sequence of expansions.In this paper, it is shown that the chord expansion number f(E) equals the value of the Tutte polynomial at the point (2,?1) for the interlace graph GE corresponding to E. The chord expansion number of a complete multipartite chord diagram is also studied. An extended abstract of the paper was published (Nakamigawa and Sakuma, 2017) [13].  相似文献

The double generalized Petersen graph DP(n,t), n3 and tZn?{0}, 22t<n, has vertex-set {xi,yi,ui,viiZn}, edge-set {{xi,xi+1},{yi,yi+1},{ui,vi+t},{vi,ui+t},{xi,ui},{yi,vi}iZn}. These graphs were first defined by Zhou and Feng as examples of vertex-transitive non-Cayley graphs. Then, Kutnar and Petecki considered the structural properties, Hamiltonicity properties, vertex-coloring and edge-coloring of DP(n,t), and conjectured that all DP(n,t) are Hamiltonian. DP-coloring of a simple graph is a generalization of list coloring, and also a generalization of signed coloring of signed graphs. It is known that for each k{3,4,5,6}, every planar graph without Ck is 4-choosable. Furthermore, Jin et al. (2016) showed that for each k{3,4,5,6}, every signed planar graph without Ck is signed 4-choosable. In this paper, we show that for each k{3,4,5,6}, every planar graph without Ck is 4-DP-colorable, which is an extension of the above results.  相似文献

An edge of a k-connected graph is said to be k-contractible if the contraction of the edge results in a k-connected graph. If every k-connected graph with no k-contractible edge has either H1 or H2 as a subgraph, then an unordered pair of graphs {H1,H2} is said to be a forbidden pair for k-contractible edges. We prove that {K1+3K2,K1+(P3K2)} is a forbidden pair for 6-contractible edges, which is an extension of a previous result due to Ando and Kawarabayashi.  相似文献

The conservative number of a graph G is the minimum positive integer M, such that G admits an orientation and a labeling of its edges by distinct integers in {1,2,,M}, such that at each vertex of degree at least three, the sum of the labels on the in-coming edges is equal to the sum of the labels on the out-going edges. A graph is conservative if M=|E(G)|. It is worth noting that determining whether certain biregular graphs are conservative is equivalent to find integer Heffter arrays.In this work we show that the conservative number of a galaxy (a disjoint union of stars) of size M is M for M0, 3(mod4), and M+1 otherwise. Consequently, given positive integers m1, m2, …, mn with mi3 for 1in, we construct a cyclic (m1,m2,,mn)-cycle system of infinitely many circulant graphs, generalizing a result of Bryant, Gavlas and Ling (2003). In particular, it allows us to construct a cyclic (m1,m2,,mn)-cycle system of the complete graph K2M+1, where M=i=1nmi. Also, we prove necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a cyclic (m1,m2,,mn)-cycle system of K2M+2?F, where F is a 1-factor. Furthermore, we give a sufficient condition for a subset of Zv?{0} to be sequenceable.  相似文献

In this article, we consider a Markov process {Xt}t?0, which solves a stochastic differential equation driven by a Brownian motion and an independent pure jump component exhibiting both state-dependent jump intensity and infinite jump activity. A second order expansion is derived for the tail probability P[Xt?x+y] in small time t, where x is the initial value of the process and y>0. As an application of this expansion and a suitable change of the underlying probability measure, a second order expansion, near expiration, for out-of-the-money European call option prices is obtained when the underlying stock price is modeled as the exponential of the jump–diffusion process {Xt}t?0 under the risk-neutral probability measure.  相似文献

Let q be a prime power and n be a positive integer. A subspace partition of V=Fqn, the vector space of dimension n over Fq, is a collection Π of subspaces of V such that each nonzero vector of V is contained in exactly one subspace in Π; the multiset of dimensions of subspaces in Π is then called a Gaussian partition of V. We say that Πcontains a direct sum if there exist subspaces W1,,WkΠ such that W1?Wk=V. In this paper, we study the problem of classifying the subspace partitions that contain a direct sum. In particular, given integers a1 and a2 with n>a1>a21, our main theorem shows that if Π is a subspace partition of Fqn with mi subspaces of dimension ai for i=1,2, then Π contains a direct sum when a1x1+a2x2=n has a solution (x1,x2) for some integers x1,x20 and m2 belongs to the union I of two natural intervals. The lower bound of I captures all subspace partitions with dimensions in {a1,a2} that are currently known to exist. Moreover, we show the existence of infinite classes of subspace partitions without a direct sum when m2?I or when the condition on the existence of a nonnegative integral solution (x1,x2) is not satisfied. We further conjecture that this theorem can be extended to any number of distinct dimensions, where the number of subspaces in each dimension has appropriate bounds. These results offer further evidence of the natural combinatorial relationship between Gaussian and integer partitions (when q1) as well as subspace and set partitions.  相似文献
