The production of energetic π? at 0° has been measured in Ne+NaF and Ni+Ni collisions with incident energies between 1.3 and 2AGeV. In Ne+NaF collisions the investigation was extended to extreme subthreshold processes with lab momenta up to 4.5 GeV/c. In both systems at all incident energies the π? production cross sections deviate in a systematic way from thermal distributions.  相似文献

Subthreshold ¯p andK and energetic production was studied in Ne + NaF, Cu, Sn and Bi, and in Ni + Ni collisions with incident energies between 1.6 and 2 GeV/u. The measured cross sections indicate a dominant contribution of baryonic resonances. This is also consistent with a generalized scaling behaviour of the cross sections with the energy available in the collision and the energy necessary to produce particles as observed with Ne induced reactions. Deviations from scaling especially pronounced in the Ni-Ni system will be discussed in terms of absorption effects. The flat slope of the excitation function for ¯p production can be related to a reduced production threshold caused by a reduction of the antiproton mass in the dense and heated medium by about 100—150 MeV/c2. A similar in-medium mass reduction is also indicated forK mesons. An increased ¯p reabsorption probability for the heavier systems is concluded from the comparison of the ¯p yields in Ne + NaF, Ne + Sn and Ni + Ni collisions.Dedicated to Professor Klaus Dietrich on the occasion of his 60th birthday.  相似文献

Double differential K+ cross sections have been measured in p+C collisions at 1.2, 1.5 and 2.5 GeV beam energy and in p+Pb collisions at 1.2 and 1.5 GeV. The K+ spectrum taken at 2.5 GeV can be reproduced quantitatively by a model calculation which takes into account first chance proton-nucleon collisions and internal momentum with energy distribution of nucleons according to the spectral function. At 1.2 and 1.5 GeV beam energy the K+ data excess significantly the model predictions for first chance collisions. When taking secondary processes into account the results of the calculations are in much better agreement with the data.  相似文献

The heavy-ion collisions are studied by means of two-component Fokker-Planck equations on the assumption that there exist multiquark states in nuclei. Inclusive cross section for the production of p is calculated in heavy-ion collisions of C+C, Ne+NaF and Ar+KCI at 800 MeV/N; Ne+NaF at 400 MeV/N, 800 MeV/N and 2100 MeV/N. A satisfactory agreement with the experimental data near c.m. 90 degree is obtained. The production of d in the collision of C+C at 800 MeV/N is also discussed.  相似文献

We present an ensemble of formulae for the calculation of the Glauber correction to incoherent production on deuterons. The formulae are written in terms of phases, slopes and integrated cross sections and both the diffractive and non-diffractive case are considered. It is shown in the case K+ → K0π+, that only if the analysis is done in such a way that the final set of states is complete, is there agreement between theory and experiment.  相似文献

pp annihilations, leading to the production of at least one neutral K meson in the final state, have been studied in the incident momentum region of 700–760 MeV/c. Topological cross sections and cross sections for the various exclusive final states are presented. Detailed analyses of the different final states have been carried out to study the importance of resonance production and of quasi two-body and quasi three-body processes. A detailed study of the KKπ system in the four-body final states shows that the F1 meson is a spurious effect due to systematic biases. In the momentum range investigated, the C = +1 final states are strongly suppressed.  相似文献

The inclusive K +-meson production in photon-induced reactions in the near-threshold and subthreshold energy regimes is analyzed for the one-step (γNK + Y, Y=Λ, Σ) incoherent production processes on the basis of an appropriate new folding model that takes properly into account the struck-target nucleonremoval energy and the internal momentum distribution (nucleon spectral function), extracted from recent quasielastic-electron-scattering experiments and from many-body calculations based on realistic models of NN interaction. Simple parametrizations of the total and differential cross sections for K + production in photon-nucleon collisions are presented. A comparison of the model calculations of the K + differential cross sections for γ12C interactions in the threshold region with existing experimental data is given, which displays the contributions to K + production at considered incident energies from the use of the single-particle part, as well as high momentum and high removal energy part, of the nucleon spectral function. Detailed predictions for the K + total and differential cross sections for γ2H, γ12C, and γ208Pb interactions at subthreshold and near-threshold energies are provided. The effect of the uncertainties in the elementary K +-production cross sections on the K + yield is explored.  相似文献

Inclusive K +-meson production in proton-nucleus collisions in the near-threshold and subthreshold energy regimes is analyzed with respect to the one-step (pNK + YN, Y=Λ, Σ) and two-step (pNNNπ, NN2π; πNK + Y) incoherent production processes. An appropriate folding model is used that properly takes into account the struck-target-nucleon-removal energy and the momentum distribution (nucleon spectral function), novel elementary cross sections for proton-nucleon reaction channel close to threshold, as well as nuclear-mean-field-potential effects on the one-step and two-step kaon-creation processes. A detailed comparison of the model calculations of the K + total and differential cross sections for the p+9Be and p+12C interactions with the existing experimental data is given, which displays both the relative role of the primary and secondary production channels at considered incident energies and those features of the cross sections that are sensitive to the high-momentum and high-removal-energy parts of the nucleon spectral function. It is found that, contrary to previous studies known in the literature, the pion-nucleon production channels do not necessarily dominate in pA collisions at subthreshold energies and that the relative strength of the proton-and pion-induced reaction channels for light target nuclei in the subthreshold energy regime is governed by the kinematics of the experiment under consideration.  相似文献

Subthreshold kaon production has been studied in symmetric nucleus-nucleus collisions as a function of the nucleus mass, beam energy and centrality. In Au+Au collsions at 1 AGeV theK + multiplicity increases more than linearly with increasing number of participating nucleons. Transport calculations have to assume a soft equation of state in order to reproduce the data. The in-mediumK ? cross section measured in Ni+Ni collisions is enhanced by about a factor of 7 as compared to the free cross section when using theK + cross section at equivalent beam energies as a normalization.  相似文献

The recoil ion production cross sections in 2MeV/amu Br n++Ne0→Br n′++Ne q+ were measured using a projectile ion — recoil ion coincidence technique where the final charge states of both collisions partners were detected simultaneously. Multiple ionization was found to be the dominant process for the production of low charge state recoil ions whereas the production of highly charged recoil ions is accompanied by electron capture from the Nek-shell. The derived ratio of single to double Ne-k electron capture probabilities indicates deviations from a binomial statistics distribution.  相似文献

Data are presented on the production of the KNπ final states in K+p interactions at 7.3 GeV/c. The energy dependence of the KNπ final state cross sections, the effective-mass distributions, and the spectra of c.m. longitudinal momenta are given, and features of these data are compared with predictions of the generalized Veneziano (GV) model. Furthermore, we present the momentum transfer and decay angular distributions for K1 (890), K1 (1420) and Δ (1236) production within the KNπ final states and discuss these quasi-two-body reactions in terms of the GV model.  相似文献

Detailed predictions for the K+ total and differential cross sections from γH2, γC12 and γPb208 reactions at subthreshold and near threshold energies are provided. The inclusive subthresholdK mesons production in charged pion-induced reactions is analyzed with respect to the one-step production processes on the basis of an appropriate first collision model, which allows one to take into account the various forms of an internal nucleon momentum distribution. Free elementary production processes are described by the phase space calculations normalized to the corresponding total experimental cross sections. Simple parametrizations for the total cross sections of theK production in pion-nucleon collisions are given. Primary-pion energy dependence of the inclusive cross sections for K production in + C– collisions is calculated. The influence of the uncertainties in the elementaryK production cross sections close to the production threshold on theK yield is explored. The authors acknowledge stimulating discussions with V. Koptev on the initial stage of this study.  相似文献

The reactions π?d → K+ + MM and K?d → π+ + MM have been studied at 1.4 GeV/c to search for strange dibaryon states with quantum numbers Q = ?1, and S = ?1. No structures are found which could indicate the production of such states and upper limits for the cross sections are established.  相似文献

Inclusive K ?-meson production in proton-nucleus collisions in the subthreshold-energy regime is analyzed within an appropriate folding model for incoherent primary proton-nucleon and secondary pion-nucleon production processes, which takes properly into account the struck-target-nucleon momentum and removal-energy distribution (nucleon spectral function), novel elementary cross sections for proton-nucleon reaction channels close to threshold, as well as nuclear mean-field potential effects on the one-step and two-step antikaon-creation processes. A detailed comparison of the model calculations of the K ? differential cross sections for the reactions p+9Be and p+63Cu at subthreshold energies with the first experimental data obtained at the ITEP proton synchrotron is given. It displays both the relative role of the primary and secondary production channels at incident energies considered and the contributions to K ? production that come from the use of the single-particle part and high-momentum-energy part of the nucleon spectral function. It is found that the pion-nucleon production channel does not dominate in the subthreshold “hard” antikaon production in p 9Be and p 63Cu collisions and that the main contributions to the antikaon yields here come from the direct K ?-production mechanism. The influence of the nucleon, kaon, and antikaon mean-field potentials on the K ? yield is explored. It is shown that the effect of the nucleon mean field is of importance in explaining the considered experimental data on “hard” antikaon production, whereas the K + andK ? optical potentials play a minor role. The sensitivity of subthreshold “soft” antikaon production in p 9Be reactions to the nucleon, kaon, and antikaon mean fields is studied. It is demonstrated that, contrary to the case of “hard” antikaon production, the K ? potential has a very strong effect on the K ? yield, which is comparable with that from the nucleon effective potential.  相似文献

Reaction-product cross sections following 20Ne+12C and 16O + 16O collisions at several incident energies have been measured with a E-ΔE counter telescope. They are compared to statistical model predictions. Fair agreement is obtained for the high-Z evaporation residue cross sections, but a strong discrepancy is observed for the lower-Z reaction products. Possible explanations are discussed. It is shown that the compound nucleus formation does not depend on the structure of the colliding ions in the entrance channel and also that it is not limited by the 32S yrast line.  相似文献
