In this paper the numerical range of operators (possibly unbounded) in an indefinite inner product space is studied. In particular, we show that the spectrums of bounded positive operators (or the spectrum of unbounded uniformly I-positive operators) are contained in the closure of the I-numerical range.  相似文献

Consideration of quotient-bounded elements in a locally convexGB *-algebra leads to the study of properGB *-algebras viz those that admit nontrivial quotient-bounded elements. The construction and structure of such algebras are discussed. A representation theorem for a properGB *-algebra representing it as an algebra of unbounded Hilbert space operators is obtained in a form that unifies the well-known Gelfand-Naimark representation theorem forC *-algebra and two other representation theorems forb *-algebras (also calledlmc *-algebras), one representinga b *-algebra as an algebra of quotient bounded operators and the other as a weakly unbounded operator algebra. A number of examples are discussed to illustrate quotient-bounded operators. An algebra of unbounded operators constructed out of noncommutativeL p-spaces on a regular probability gauge space and the convolution algebra of periodic distributions are analyzed in detail; whereas unbounded Hilbert algebras andL w-integral of a measurable field ofC *-algebras are discussed briefly.  相似文献

We examineU(d) valued cocycles for a ?2+ action generated by a mixing, permutative cellular automaton and show that the set of Hölder continuous cocycles (for a given Hölder order) which are cohomologous to constant cocycles is both open and closed in the appropriate topology. A continuous dimension function with values in {0, 1,…,d} is defined on cocycles; a cocycle is cohomologous to a constant precisely when the value isd. Whend=1 (the abelian case) the first (essential) cohomology group is countable. IfU(1)? circle is replaced by a finite subgroup, this cohomology group is finite.  相似文献

Let (M, F) be a Finsler manifold. We construct a 1-cocycle on Diff(M) with values in the space of differential operators acting on sections of some bundles, by means of the Finsler fonction F. As an operator, it has several expressions: in terms of the Chern, Berwald, Cartan or Hashiguchi connection, although its cohomology class does not depend on them. This cocycle is closely related to the conformal Schwarzian derivatives introduced in our previous work. The second main result of this paper is to discuss some properties of the conformally invariant quantization map by means of a Sazaki (type) metric on the slit bundle T Minduced by F.  相似文献

We construct a spectral sequence to study cyclic cohomology for an extension A = R/I of algebras. When R is a free algebra we describe the cyclic cohomology of A in terms of traces defined on R or powers of I. We consider finite-dimensional complex Lie algebras. Using certain complex parameters we generalize the concept of cohomology cocycles of Lie algebras. A special case is generalization of 1-cocycles with respect to the adjoint representation - so called (α,β,γ)-derivations. Parametric sets of spaces of cocycles allow us to define complex functions which are invariant under Lie isomorphisms. Such complex functions thus represent useful invariants - we show how they classify three and four-dimensional Lie algebras as well as how they apply to some eight-dimensional one-parametric nilpotent continua of Lie algebras. These functions also provide necessary criteria for existence of 1-parametric continuous contraction.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to dual operator algebras, that isw *-closed algebras of bounded operators on Hilbert space. We investigate unital dual operator algebrasA with the following weak* similarity property: for every Hilbert spaceH, anyw *-continuous unital homomorphism fromA intoB(H) is completely bounded and thus similar to a contractive one. We develop a notion of dual similarity degree for these algebras, in analogy with some recent work of Pisier on the similarity problem on operator algebras.  相似文献

That symbols in the modulation space M 1,1 generate pseudo-differential operators of the trace class was first stated by Feichtinger and proved by Gröchenig in [13]. In this paper, we show that the same is true if we replace M 1,1 by the more general α-modulation spaces, which include modulation spaces (α = 0) and Besov spaces (α = 1) as special cases. The result with α = 0 corresponds to that of Gröchenig, and the one with α = 1 is a new result which states the trace property of the operators with symbols in the Besov space. As an application, we discuss the trace property of the commutator [α (X, D), a], where; a(χ) is a Lipschitz function and σ(χ, ξ) belongs to an α-modulation space.  相似文献

We consider cocycles on finite-dimensional manifolds generated by discrete-time control systems. Frequency conditions for the existence of a global B-pullback attractor for such cocycles considered over a general base system on a metric space are given. Upper bounds for the Hausdorff dimension of the global B-pullback attractor of a discrete cocycle are obtained using the transfer function of the linear part of the cocycle and the discrete Kalman–Yakubovich–Popov frequency theorem.  相似文献

Following Wong's point of view, we construct the minimal and maximal extension in Lp (? n ), 1 < p < ∞ for M-hypoelliptic pseudo-differential operators, which have been introduced and studied by Garello and Morando. We give some facts about the domain of minimal and maximal extensions of M-hypoelliptic pseudo-differential operators. For M-hypoelliptic pseudo-differential operators with constant coefficients, the spectrum and essential spectrum are computed.  相似文献

We prove that the admissibility of any pair of vector-valued Schäffer function spaces (satisfying a very general technical condition) implies the existence of a “no past” exponential dichotomy for an exponentially bounded, strongly continuous cocycle (over a semiflow). Roughly speaking the class of Schäffer function spaces consists in all function spaces which are invariant under the right-shift and therefore our approach addresses most of the possible pairs of admissible spaces. Complete characterizations for the exponential dichotomy of cocycles are also obtained. Moreover, we involve a concept of a “no past” exponential dichotomy for cocycles weaker than the classical concept defined by Sacker and Sell (1994) in [23]. Our definition of exponential dichotomy follows partially the definition given by Chow and Leiva (1996) in [4] in the sense that we allow the unstable subspace to have infinite dimension. The main difference is that we do not assume a priori that the cocycle is invertible on the unstable space (actually we do not even assume that the unstable space is invariant under the cocycle). Thus we generalize some known results due to O. Perron (1930) [14], J. Daleckij and M. Krein (1974) [7], J.L. Massera and J.J. Schäffer (1966) [11], N. van Minh, F. Räbiger and R. A theory of quantum stochastic processes in Banach space is initiated. The processes considered here consist of Banach space valued sesquilinear maps. We establish an existence and uniqueness theorem for quantum stochastic differential equations in Banach modules, show that solutions in unital Banach algebras yield stochastic cocycles, give sufficient conditions for a stochastic cocycle to satisfy such an equation, and prove a stochastic Lie–Trotter product formula. The theory is used to extend, unify and refine standard quantum stochastic analysis through different choices of Banach space, of which there are three paradigm classes: spaces of bounded Hilbert space operators, operator mapping spaces and duals of operator space coalgebras. Our results provide the basis for a general theory of quantum stochastic processes in operator spaces, of which Lévy processes on compact quantum groups is a special case.  相似文献

To study concentration and oscillation properties of eigenfunctions of the discrete Laplacian on regular graphs, we construct in this paper a pseudo-differential calculus on homogeneous trees, their universal covers. We define symbol classes and associated operators. We prove that these operators are bounded on L 2 and give adjoint and product formulas. Finally, we compute the symbol of the commutator of a pseudo-differential operator with the Laplacian.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to extend the cohomology and conformal derivation theories of the classical Lie conformal algebras to Hom-Lie conformal algebras. In this paper, we develop cohomology theory of Hom-Lie conformal algebras and discuss some applications to the study of deformations of regular Hom-Lie conformal algebras. For bounded linear operators, the study ofWeyl-type theorems and properties has been of significant interest for several non-normal classes of operators. In this paper, we extend this study to a class of unbounded posinormal operators. We define and study the spectral properties of unbounded posinormal and totally posinormal operators defined on an infinite dimensional complex Hilbert space H. For this class, under certain conditions several Weyl-type theorems and related properties are obtained.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to multiplicative inequalities in some generalized Sobolev spaces associated with Lie algebras. These Lie algebras are generated by the differential operator of variable coefficients or by pseudo-differential operators having non-regular symbols. Under geometrical assumptions we show that the norms of two suitable classes of generalized Sobolev spaces are equivalent. This leads to the proof that the composition operator u→|u|pu|u|p acts on such spaces.  相似文献

The paper studies unbounded reflexive *-derivations δ of C*-algebras of bounded operators on Hilbert spaces H whose domains D(δ) are weekly dense in B(H and contain compact operators. It describes a one-to-one correspondence between these derivations and pairs S,L, where S are symmetric densely operators on H and L are J-orthogonal π-reflexive lattices of subspaces in the deficiency spaces of S. The domains D(δ) of these *-derivations are associated with some non-selfadjoint reflexive algebras Aδ of bounded operators on HH. The paper analyzes the structure of the lattices of invariant subspaces of Aδ and of the normalizers of Aδ-the largest Lie subalgebras of B(HH) such that Aδ are their Lie ideals.  相似文献
