In order to resolve the controversy concerning the existence of an 868 keV γ-transition in the decay of 65d 85sSr and to determine the electron capture decay energy, radiochemically separated sources, Ge(Li), Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl), and NaI(Tl)-NaI(Tl) spectrometers have been used for singles and (X-ray-γ and γ-γ coincidence measurements. A γ-ray at 868.5±0.5 keV decaying with a 65±5 d half-life was conclusively identified in 85gSr decay. From measurements of the ratio Pκ(868.5)Pκ(514) of K-capture probabilities by (KX-ray-γ coincidences, a value of QEC was determined for the EC decay feeding the 868.5 keV transition. Thus, a level in 85Rb is established at 868.5 keV, and an upper limit of 0.45 μsec is set on its lifetime.  相似文献

Very neutron-deficient nuclei are investigated with Woods-Saxon potentials,especially the newly measured A =2Z-1 nucleus ~(65)As [X.L.Tu et al.,Phys.Rev.Lett.106,112501(2011)],where the experimental proton separation energy is obtained as-90(85) keV for the first time.Careful consideration is given to quasibound protons with outgoing Coulomb wave boundary conditions.The observed proton halos in the first excited state of ~(17)F and in the ground states of ~(26,27,28)P are reproduced well,and predictions of proton halos are made for the ground states of ~(56,57)Cu and ~(65)As.The sensitivity of the results to the proton separation energy is discussed in detail,together with the effect of the l=1 centrifugal barrier on proton halos.  相似文献

A new beta-delayed proton precussor 65Se has was probably produced via the reaction 40Ca (28Si,3n)65Se and identified from its beta-delayed proton emission.A single proton group at 3.75±0.05MeV with half-life of 10.8±4.1/3.7ms was observed,corresponding to superallowed beta decay of 65Se to the isobaric analog state of 65As (the lowest T=3/2 state in 65As) then proton emitting to the ground state of 64Ge.Because of poor statistics further experimental effort is required to confirm this discovery.  相似文献

The angular distributions of gamma rays from the 12C(alpha,gamma)16O reaction have been measured at 20 energy points in the energy range E(cm) = 0.95 to 2.8 MeV. The sensitivity of the present experiment compared to previous direct investigations was raised by 1-2 orders of magnitude, by using an array of highly efficient ( 100%) Ge detectors shielded actively with BGOs, as well as high beam currents of up to 500 microA that were provided by the Stuttgart Dynamitron accelerator. The S(E1) and S(E2) factors deduced from the gamma angular distributions have been extrapolated to the range of helium burning temperatures applying the R-matrix method, which yielded S(300)(E1) = (76+/-20) keV b and S(300)(E2) = (85+/-30) keV b.  相似文献

Several low-lying states of 72As have been studied via the γ-rays following the bombardment of 72Ge by protons in the energy range 5.1–6.2 MeV. Gamma-ray spectra were obtained using a Ge(Li) detector, and gamma-gamma coincidences between this detector and a NaI crystal were also investigated. Besides the single previously known excited state at 46 keV, 12 additional excited states were determined in 72As at energies of 213, 242, 308, 317, 333, 343, 413, 438, 454, 512, 523 and (561) keV. The angular distributions of the γ-rays from the 213 and 242 keV levels have also been measured, and the results have been analyzed using the compound nucleus statistical model. The excited states at 213 and 242 keV were found to have spins of (2) and 3 respectively.  相似文献

The spectroscopic factors for the levels of73,75,77,79,81As have been measured in the Se(d, 3He)As reactions at 25.2 MeV. The proton occupation numbers deduced for the even Se isotopes show that the striking change in proton configuration, observed for the Ge isotopes between N ? 40 and N ? 42, does persist for the Se isotopes. This change is not reproduced, either by a model calculation using spectral distribution methods or by proton wave functions recently suggested for the Se isotopes to explain the results of the Se(d, 6Li)Ge reactions.  相似文献

The level scheme of75Se has been studied through the75As (p, n) reaction at proton energies from 1.5 to 5.0 MeV.γ-ray and internal conversion electron measurements were made using NaI (T1) and Ge(Li) detectors and a six-gap electron spectrometer. A proportional counter and a thin window NaI(T1) detector were used to detectγ-rays with energies less than 30 keV. The level scheme has been established by observing the thresholds of variousγ-rays and byγ-γ and e?-γ coincidence measurements. New levels at 133.0, 293.2, 790.0, 953.0, 1020.8, 1184.3, 1198.5 and 1258.2 keV not observed in earlier (p, n) studies have been established. Conversion coefficients of most of the low-lying transitions have been determined. Angular distributions of some of theγ-rays were also measured and compared with the statistical model calculations. DefiniteJ π assignments have been made to most of the low-lying levels. Life-times of the 112.1, 133.0, 286.7 and 293.2 keV levels have been measured to be 0.69±0.12, 5.3±0.6, 1.35±0.15 and 31±2 nsec respectively. The reduced transition probabilities for various low-lying transitions have been determined and compared with recent calculations. The 1/2? and 9/2+ levels hitherto unknown in this nucleus has been identified. The structure of the low-lying levels is discussed in terms of the existing models.  相似文献

The energy levels of 73As were studied by means of the 73Ge(p, n)73As reaction at proton energies between 2.1 and 3.3 MeV. Neutron energies were measured by time of flight, and γ-ray energies with Ge(Li) detectors. The γ-decay of levels was studied by means of γ-n coincidences. Angular distributions were measured for the strongest de-excitation γ-rays, and relative excitation strengths of levels were derived from the neutron spectra. These are compared with predictions of the statistical theory to derive spins for a number of levels. A level and decay scheme for 73As up to 1.98 MeV excitation is presented.  相似文献

The31P(p, γ)32S reaction has been studied in the proton energy region 300–1420 keV using Ge(Li)-techniques. Gamma decay schemes of 16 resonances are proposed. The branching ratios of the resonance states and 23 bound states are presented. The spin of theE x=7116 keV level was found to beJ π=2+. The level structure of 64-70Ge isotopes has been studied within the framework of the interacting boson model-3 (IBM-3). The symmetry character in the proton and neutron degrees of freedom of the energy levels has been investigated. The isospin excitation states (T>Tz) have been assigned for the 64Ge (N=Z) nucleus. Some intruder states in these nuclei have been suggested. The calculated energy levels and transition probabilities are in good agreement with recent experimental data. The study indicates that the Ge isotopes are in transition from γ-unstable to vibrational.  相似文献

The energy levels of 91Nb were studied by means of the (p, nγ) reaction. The de-excitation γ-rays were observed with a Ge(Li) detector in the proton energy range from 3.25 to 5.51 MeV in steps of about 30 keV. Resonances attributed to isobaric analog states in the compound system 91Nb were observed in the excitation functions of the de-excitation γ-rays. From an analysis of these analog resonances, a Hauser-Feshbach analysis and the γ-decay scheme, the spin-parities of the levels up to 2792.6 keV (22 levels) were assigned.  相似文献

The levels of151Eu have been investigated in the (n,n′γ) reaction using nuclear reactor fast neutrons. The energies, intensities and angular distributions of theγ-rays have been measured with the Ge(Li) spectrometer. Four rotational bands with the following band heads and Nilsson configurations have been identified: ground state band, 5/2+ [402]; 21.5 keV, 7/2+[404]; 196.5 keV, 3/2+[411]; 260.5 keV, 5/2+[413]. The low spin states at 332.2 and 336.2 keV have been tentatively assigned to the l/2+[411] Nilsson orbital, but 522.8, 580.0 and 587.0 keV states to the 1/2+[420] Nilsson orbital. The negative parity levels at 353.7, 522.1 and probably 546.2 keV have been proposed basing on theh 11/2 proton state.  相似文献

The cross section of the reaction 6Li(p, γ)7Be has been measured using Ge(Li) γ-ray spectrometers for proton bombarding energies Ep from 200 keV to 1200 keV. At Ep = 800 keV, the total (p, γ) integrated cross section is found to be 3.1 ± 0.4 μb. The cross section adopted from consideration of this and previous measurements is in good agreement with that predicted from the known thermal neutron cross section for 6Li(n, γ)7Li on the assumption that properties of mirror direct capture reactions can be well described by optical potentials that use the same parmeter values for the two reactions.  相似文献

The structure of Ge(5)As(x)Se(95-x) (x?=?10, 20, 30, 38?at.%) and Ge(15)As(x)Se(85-x) (x?=?10, 25, 34?at.%) glasses has been investigated by high-energy x-ray diffraction and extended x-ray absorption fine structure measurements. The experimental datasets have been modelled using the reverse Monte Carlo simulation technique. The model atomic configurations have been analysed in detail. It has been found that the homonuclear Ge-Ge, As-As, Se-Se and heteronuclear Ge-As bonds play an important role in the structure formation of the Ge-As-Se glasses. The total number of these bonds decreases quite slowly with the mean coordination number similarly to the nonlinear refractive index.  相似文献

The gamma-ray spectrum emitted following thermal neutron capture in19F has been studied with curved crystal and Ge(Li) spectrometers. From the 109 transitions assigned to20F, 85 have been placed in a level scheme containing 26 levels. An average gammaray multiplicity of 2.8 gammas per neutron capture was observed. The neutron binding energy was found to be 6601.33(14) keV. The experimental level scheme is compared to rotational model predictions. In addition it is shown that the decay of the capture state is non-statistical and that there is a strong correlation between the strengths of excitation of levels by the (n, γ) and (d, p) reactions. Calculations of the partial cross-sections using the direct capture theory of Lane and Lynn give order of magnitude agreement with experiment.  相似文献

Levels in 63Cu were studied by means of the 63Cu(p, p'γ) reaction at incident proton energies Ep = 4.2, 5.0 and 6.0 MeV. Singles γ-ray spectra were obtained with a Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) spectrometer. A total of 57 γ-transitions up to 2889.4 keV have been found and a detailed level scheme for the de-excitation of 22 levels in 63Cu is proposed.  相似文献

The γ-ray spectrum emitted after thermal neutron capture in 41K has been measured with pair and Ge(Li) spectrometers at the ILL high-flux reactor. About 630 transitions have been assigned to the decay of 133 excited states in 42K. The level energies have been determined with a precison of 20 ppm; the neutron binding energy was determined to be EB = 7533.82(15) keV. On the basis of the many transitions to known states, several spin-parity assignments have been made. In addition, high-resolution proton spectra of the reaction 41K(d,p) have been taken at 20MeV deuteron energy with the München Q3D spectrometer. These data have been essential in establishing the newly-found levels and in differentiating between primary and secondary transitions in the (n, γ) work. A statistical analysis of the level density and relative strengths of primary transitions is given.  相似文献

Detection of gamma rays resulting from inelastic scattering of neutrons in the energy range 550 to 2,100 keV from a natural rubidium sample was used to determine the level structure of85Rb and87Rb. Decay gammas were observed with time-gated Ge(Li) and intrinsic germanium detectors with good energy resolution. Level and decay schemes up to 2 MeV excitation were constructed for both85Rb and87Rb. Several new levels were found, some seen previously in particle reactions were confirmed and their energies accurately established. Comparison of the excitation functions with Hauser-Feshbach theory led to the assignment of spins and parities for several levels.  相似文献

Low-energy γ-ray and conversion electron spectra from the 133Cs(n,γ)134Cs reaction have been investigated with a bent cyrstal spectrometer, β-speetrometer, Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors. Gamma-gamma coincidence measurements were made with the Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) arrangement. Gamma-gamma delayed coincidences have been studied with the use of the Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) coincidence set-up. The decay of 2.9 h 134mCs has been investigated with the prism β-spectrometer and Ge(Li) detector. The half-lives of the 176.403 and 257.112 keV levels have been measured to be 49.7 ± 0.8ns and 12.3 ± 1.1 ns respectively. The neutron binding energy Bn have been calculated to be 6891.4 ± 1.3 keV. Spin and parity assignments have been made for almost all the levels. The possible structure of the levels deduced is discussed.  相似文献
