This article reports the thermal conductivity modeling of nanofluids containing decorated multi-walled carbon nanotubes with TiO2 nanoparticles. TiO2 nanoparticles and decorated multi-walled carbon nanotubes are synthesized with different amounts of TiO2 nanoparticles. The experimental results show that the measured thermal conductivities of TiO2 nanofluids and multi-walled carbon nanotube nanofluids are higher than the predicted values by theoretical models. The comparison results of multi-walled carbon nanotube nanofluids and multi-walled carbon nanotube–TiO2 nanofluids reveal that the predicted values by the Xue model are closer to the measured values. In addition, the results show that the thermal conductivity of nanofluids containing multi-walled carbon nanotube–TiO2 increases with respect to TiO2 content of hybrid.  相似文献

We investigate the co-doping of potassium and bromine in single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and doublewalled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs) based on density functional theory. In the co-doped (6,0) SWCNTs, the 4s electron of potassium is transferred to nanotube and Br, leading to the n-type feature of SWCNTs. When potassium is intercalated into inner tube and bromine is put on outer tube, the positive and negative charges reside on the outer and inner tubes of the (7,0)@(16,0) DWCNT, respectively. It is expected that DWCNTs would be an ideal candidate for p-n junction and diode applications.  相似文献

以氮掺杂碳纳米管为载体,在温和条件下采用简单的浸渍法制备得到铂催化剂,铂的粒径分布在4~7 nm,且氮掺杂碳纳米管无需进行预处理. 采用X射线衍射仪、扫描电子显微镜、透射电镜和能量色散X射线仪等对Pt/CNx催化剂进行了详细的表征. 结果表明,氮掺杂碳纳米管中高含量的氮原子能够有效俘获Pt(IV) 离子,且表面的含氮官能团及亲水性能的提高都有利于铂纳米粒子的分散. Pt/CNx催化剂在烯丙醇加氢反应中表现出高的催化性能及循环使用性能,这是由于铂纳米粒子的高分散性及铂与载体间强的连接性阻止了Pt的流失及聚积,从而避免生成Pt黑导致失活等.  相似文献

Multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) have a great commercial potential as electron field emitters, but suffer from fundamental problems such as stability and brightness. By depositing the MWNTs with nano-sized ruthenium dioxide (RuO2) particles, a new high performance emitter has been developed. When compared to MWNTs, the MWNTs impregnated with 1–2 nm sized RuO2 have superior and more efficient electrical characteristics. MWNTs supported by a silicon substrate showed a reduction in the onset voltage from 5.4 to 4 V/μm after RuO2 impregnation. The long-term stability of the impregnated MWNTs is also demonstrated with only a 20% increase in applied voltage required after 700 h operation at 40 mA/cm2.  相似文献

Due to the limitations of impedance matching and attenuation matching,carbon nanotubes(CNTs)employed alone have a weak capacity to attenuate electromagnetic wave(EMW)energy.In this work,B and N co-doped CNTs with embedded Ni nanoparticles(Ni@BNCNTs)are fabricated via an in situ doping method.Compared with a sample without B doping,Ni@BNCNTs demonstrate a superior EMW absorption performance,with all minimum reflection loss values below?20 dB,even at a matching thickness of 1.5 mm.The experimental and theoretical calculation results demonstrate that B doping increases conduction and polarization relaxation losses,as well as the impedance matching characteristic,which is responsible for the enhanced EMW absorption performance of Ni@BNCNTs.  相似文献

Microscopical, differential scanning colorimetry (DSC), and X-ray structural investigations of solution crystallized carbon nanotube (CNT) composites with linear polyethylene (LPE), isotactic polypropylene (iPP), polybutene-1 (PB-1), and nylon 6 (PA6) disclosed varying degrees of surface interaction and nucleation effect of CNT in these polymers and formation of oriented shish-kebab overgrowths on the CNT ropes in LPE and PA6. The character of the attraction and orientation forces at the CNT-polymer interface is discussed.  相似文献

The effects of vacuum annealing and oxidation in air on the structure of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) produced by a large-scale catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) process are studied using Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). A detailed Raman spectroscopic study of as-produced nanotubes has also been conducted. While oxidation in air up to 400°C removes disordered carbon, defects in tube walls are produced at higher temperatures. TEM reveals that MWCNTs annealed at 1,800°C and above become more ordered than as-received tubes, while the tubes annealed at 2,000°C exhibit polygonalization, mass transfer and over growth. The change in structure is observable by the separation of the Raman G and D′ peaks, a lower R-value (I D/I G ratio), and an increase in the intensity of the second order peaks. Using wavelengths from the deep ultraviolet (UV) range (5.08 eV) extending into the visible near infrared (IR) (1.59 eV), the Raman spectra of MWCNTs reveal a dependence of the D-band position proportional to the excitation energy of the incident laser energies.  相似文献

以天然纳米管埃洛石为载体,以Sn-Pd胶体溶液作为活化剂,利用化学镀法在埃洛石的内表面镀金属Ni。利用XRD、TEM对合成的产物进行分析表征,表明在埃洛石纳米管的内腔沉积了颗粒连续、尺寸大小约为10nm的Ni粒子,而HRTEM分析表明Ni微粒为纳米晶体。良好分散性能的镍-埃洛石纳米复合材料将会在高效催化剂、润滑剂、传感器,高密度磁记录材料等领域有潜在的应用前景。  相似文献

用C+离子束轰击多壁碳纳米管后, 发现了大量的由无定形碳纳米线组成的连接结构. 这种用高分辨透射电子显微镜和电子衍射分析确认的离子束焊接方法, 不但可以作为准备纳米电子(光子)学器件和线路的手段, 结合微操纵技术, 也有可能对其它系统器件排布的制作有所贡献.  相似文献

We demonstrate a passively multi-wavelength Q-switched Ytterbium-doped fiber laser (YDFL) based on a multi-wall carbon nanotubes embedded in polyethylene oxide film as saturable absorber. The YDFL generates a stable multi-wavelength with spacing of 1.9 nm as the 980 nm pump power is fixed within 62. 4 mW and 78.0 mW. The repetition rate of the laser is tunable from 10.41 to 29.04 kHz by increasing the pump power from the threshold power of 62.4 mW to 78 mW. At 78 mW pump power, the maximum pulse energy of 38 nJ and the shortest pulse width of 8.87 µs are obtained.  相似文献

We investigate the interaction of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and methane molecule from the first principles. Adsorption energies are calculated, and methane affinities for the typical semiconducting and metallic nanotubes are compared. We also discuss role of the structural defects and nanotube curvature on the adsorption capability of the SWCNTs. We could observe larger adsorption energies for the metallic CNTs in comparison with the semiconducting CNTs. The obtained results for the zig zag nanotubes with various diameters reveal that the adsorption energy is higher for nanotubes with larger diameters. For defected tubes the adsorption energies are calculated for various configurations such as methane molecule approaching to the defect sites pentagon, hexagon, and heptagon in the tube surface. The results show that the introduce defects have an important contribution to the adsorption mechanism of the methane on SWNTs.  相似文献

在紧束缚近似基础上,利用扩展的Su-Schriffer-Heeger(SSH)模型,在实空间研究了在完整的"zigzag"碳纳米管中分别引入5/7,5/6/7,5/6/6/7拓扑缺陷所构成的(9,0)-(8,0),(9,0)-(7,0)和(9,0)-(6,0)三种异质结的电学性能.通过研究表明:这些拓扑缺陷不仅改变碳管的直径,而且支配费米能级附近的电学行为.并计算了(9,0)-(8,0),(9,0)-(7,0)和(9,0)-(6,0)系统的电子态密度,对这3种异质结的能带结构和电子态密度进行了比较.结果表明:五边形和七边形在碳管中分布的不同对碳管电学性能的影响明显不同.因此,可以研制出基于这些异质结的不同的电子器件基元.  相似文献

Modeling of the quantum interaction properties of glycine radicals on the sidewalls of the single-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is investigated by MINDO/3 (Modified Intermediate Neglect of Differential Overlap version 3) calculations. It is found that the interaction potential of the N-centered glycine radical with the tubes results in stable complexes when it reacts with the nitrogen atom (N2 centered) and metastable conformations with C2 atoms. We have studied the effect of the diameter–length characteristics of the CNT on binding the amino acid. Our results suggest that the binding energy is lower as the CNT diameter increases, while as the CNT length increases, the binding energy initially increases and then slightly fluctuates.  相似文献

采用聚苯乙烯小球修饰Ti片表面,并进行阳极氧化,制备出一种由纳米颗粒和纳米管构成的TiO2膜.通过数值模拟,分析了氧化表面附近的局部电场分布对TiO2膜形貌的影响.结果表明,覆盖物增强了局部电场,从而加快了O2-与Ti的反应速率,有利于TiO2的生长;与此同时,[TiF6]6-的扩散受到阻碍,使得TiO2的溶解速率减慢.可见,覆盖物打破了TiO2纳米管形成的平衡条件,导致纳米颗粒的生成.此外,通过X射线衍射和Raman光谱的测试分析发现,所制备的TiO2为锐钛矿结构.  相似文献
