A continuous flow liquid membrane extraction (CFLME)-C18 precolumn-liquid chromatography system was developed for preconcentration and determination of chlorinated phenols (CPs). After preconcentration by CFLME, which is based on the combination of continuous flow liquid-liquid extraction and supported liquid membrane, CPs were enriched in 960 μl of 0.5 mol l−1 NaOH used as acceptor. This acceptor was on-line neutralized and transported onto the C18 precolumn where analytes were absorbed and focused. Then the focused analytes were injected onto the C18 analytical column for separation and detected at 215 nm with a diode array detector. CFLME related parameters such as flow rates, pH of donor and acceptor concentration were optimized. The proposed method presents detection limits of 0.02-0.09 μg l−1 (S/N=3) when 100 ml samples were enriched. The proposed method was successfully applied to determine CPs in tap water and river water samples with spiked recoveries in the range of 70-121%.  相似文献

An on-line system that consists of continuous-flow liquid membrane extraction (CFLME), C18 precolumn, and liquid chromatography with UV detection was applied to trace analysis of sulfonylurea herbicides in water. During preconcentration by CFLME, five target compounds, including metsulfuron methyl, bensulfuron methyl, tribenuron methyl, sulfometuron methyl, and ethametsulfuron, were enriched in 960 microl of 0.5 mol l(-1) Na2CO3-NaHCO3 (pH 10.8) buffer used as acceptor. This acceptor was on-line neutralized and transported to the C18 precolumn where the analytes were absorbed and focused. Then the focused analytes were injected onto a C18 analytical column for separation and detection at 240 nm. The proposed method was applied to determine sulfonylurea herbicides in water, river, and reservoir water with detection limits of 10-50 ng l(-1) when enriching a 120-ml sample. Throughput is typically one sample per hour.  相似文献

The suitability of Empore-activated carbon disks (EACD), Envi-Carb graphitized carbon black (GCB) and CPP-50 graphitized carbon for the trace enrichment of polar pesticides from water samples was studied by means of off-line and on-line solid-phase extraction (SPE). In the off-line procedure, 0.5-2 1 samples spiked with a test mixture of oxamyl, methomyl and aldicarb sulfoxide were enriched on EnviCarb SPE cartridges or 47 mm diameter EACD and eluted with dichloromethane-methanol. After evaporation, a sample was injected onto a C18-bonded silica column and analysed by liquid chromatography with ultraviolet (LC-UV) detection. EACD performed better than EnviCarb cartridges in terms of breakthrough volumes (>2 1 for all test analytes), reproducibility (R.S.D. of recoveries, 4–8%, n=3) and smapling speed (100 ml/min); detection limits in drinking water were 0.05–0.16 μg/l. In the on-line experiments, 4.6 mm diameter pieces cut from original EACD and stacked onto each other in a 9 mm long precolumn, and EnviCarb and CPP-50 packed in 10×2.0 mm I.D. precolumn, were tested, and 50–200 ml spiked water samples were preconcentrated. Because of the peak broadening caused by the strong sorption of the analytes on carbon, the carbon-packed precolumns were eluted by a separate stream of 0.1 ml/min acetonitrile which was mixed with the gradient LC eluent in front of the C18 analytical column. The final on-line procedure was also applied for the less polar propoxur, carbaryl and methiocarb. EnviCarb could not be used due to its poor pressure resistance. CPP-50 provided less peak broadening than EACD: peak widths were 0.1–0.3 min and R.S.D. of peak heights 4–14% (n = 3). In terms of analyte trapping efficiency on-line SPE-LC-UV with a CPP-50 precolumn also showed better performance than when Bondesil C18/OH or polymeric PLRP-S was used, but chromatographic resolution was similar. With the CPP-50-based system, detection limits of the test compounds were 0.05–1 μg/l in surface water.  相似文献

Determination of macrolide antibiotics by liquid chromatography   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7
The liquid chromatographic separation of seven macrolides used in food producing animals in the European Union has been studied. Separation was performed by using an end-capped high-purity silica-based C18 column and mobile phases consisting of phosphate buffer (pH 2.5)–acetonitrile mixtures. The effect of pH and acetonitrile percentage on the separation was examined. Two UV-based detection systems, wavelength programming and diode array, were assayed. Detection limits were in the range 6–33 μg l−1 for spiramycin, tilmicosin, tylosin, kitasamicin and josamicin and about 400 μg l−1 for erythromycin and oleandomycin. The suitability of the method for multiresidue determination of the five macrolides is demonstrated by the analysis of spiked samples of chicken muscle.  相似文献

A flow injection on-line sorption preconcentration electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometric system for fully automatic determination of lead in water was investigated. The discrete non-flow-through nature of ETAAS, the limited capacity of the graphite tube and the relatively large volume of the knotted reactor (KR) are obstacles to overcome for the on-line coupling of the KR sorption preconcentration system with ETAAS. A new FI manifold has been developed with the aim of reducing the eluate volume and minimizing dispersion. The lead diethyldithiocarbamate complex was adsorbed on the inner walls of a knotted reactor made of PTFE tubing (100 cm long, 0.5 mm i.d.). After that, an air flow was introduced to remove the residual solution from the KR and the eluate delivery tube, then the adsorbed analyte chelate was quantitatively eluted into a delivery tube with 50 μl of ethanol. An air flow was used to propel the eluent from the eluent loop through the reactor and to introduce all the ethanolic eluate onto the platform of the transversely heated graphite tube atomizer, which was preheated to 80°C. With the use of the new FI manifold, the consumption of eluent was greatly reduced and dispersion was minimized. The adsorption efficiency was 58%, and the enhancement factor was 142 in the concentration range 0.01–0.05 μg l−1 Pb at a sample loading rate of 6.8 ml min−1 with 60 s preconcentration time. For the range 0.1–2.0 μg l−1 of Pb a loading rate of 3.0 ml min−1 and 30 s preconcentration time were chosen, resulting in an adsorption efficiency of 42% and an enhancement factor of 21, respectively. A detection limit (3σ) of 2.2 ng l−1 of lead was obtained using a sample loading rate of 6.8 ml min−1 and 60 s preconcentration. The relative standard deviation of the entire procedure was 4.9% at the 0.01 μg l−1 Pb level with a loading rate of 6.8 ml min−1 and 60 s preconcentration, and 2.9% at the 0.5 μg l−1 Pb level with a 3.0 ml min−1 loading rate and 30 s preconcentration. Efficient washing of the matrix from the reactor was critical, requiring the use of the standard addition method for seawater samples. The analytical results obtained for seawater and river water standard reference materials were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

An analytical method using silica gel chemically modified with zirconium (IV) phosphate for preconcentration of lead and copper, in a column system, and their sequential determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS), was developed. Sample solutions are passed through a glass column packed with 100 mg of the sorbent material, at pH 4.5, and lead and copper are eluted with 1.0 mol l−1 HNO3 at a flow rate of 2.0 ml min−1. The extraction of copper is affected by Fe(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) while only Fe(II) interferes in the lead determination. These interferences may be overcome with an appropriate addition of a KI or NaF solution. An enrichment factor of 30 was obtained for both metals. While the limits of detection (3σ) were 6.1 and 1.1 μg l−1, for Pb and Cu, respectively, the limits of determination were 16.7 and 3.3 μg l−1. The precision expressed as relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) obtained for 3.3 μg l−1 of Cu and 16.7 μg l−1 of Pb were 4.3 and 4.7%, respectively, calculated from ten measurements. The proposed method was evaluated with reference material and was applied for the determination of lead and copper in industrial and river waters.  相似文献

A method for the determination of gentamicin residues in hospital wastewater has been developed using kanamycin as a surrogate standard. The method consists of solid-phase extraction (SPE) and detection by ion-pair chromatography with electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (LC–ES-tandem MS). The SPE was performed on a weak cation exchanger. Filtration should be avoided in the sample preparation, otherwise a significant loss of gentamicin occurs. Chromatographic separation on a C18-column was achieved using a ternary eluent containing methanol, water and 20 mmol l−1 heptafluorobutyric acid solution. Mean relative recoveries of the analytes in hospital wastewater varied between 107 and 111%. The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.20 μg l−1 in hospital wastewater. Gentamicin was found in native hospital wastewater in a concentration range between 0.4 and 7.6 μg l−1.  相似文献

Amperometic flow measurements were made at +0.55 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) in 0.1 mol l−1 KOH electrolyte with an Ni(II) chemically modified electrode (CME) with an Eastman-AQ polymer film. The use and characteristics of a Ni(II)-containing crystalline and polymer-modified electrode obtained by a double coating step as a detector for amino acids in a flow-injection system using reversed-phase liquid chromatography are described. The detection of these analytes is based on the higher oxidation state of nickel (NiOOH) controlled by the applied potential. The electroanalytical parameters and the detection current for a series of amines and amino acids were investigated. The use of such a CME in the flow-injection technique was found to be suitable in a solution at low pH. The linear range for glycine is 5 × 10−6-0.1 mol l−1 with a detection limit of 1.0×10−6 mol l−1. A 1 × 10−4 mol l−1 mixture of serine and tyrosine was also detected after separation on an Nucleosil C18 column.  相似文献

An on-line flow injection (FI) precipitation–dissolution system with microwave-assisted sample digestion has been developed for the electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) determination of trace or ultratrace amounts of molybdenum in human blood serum and whole blood samples. After the exposure of the sample to microwave radiation, the on-line precipitation of molybdenum was achieved by the merging-zone of a 0.5-ml plug of sample with a plug of potassium ferrocyanide, which were carried downstream with a solution of 0.5 mol l−1 of HNO3. The interfering effects of iron and copper were minimized by the introduction of a flow of a 5% (w/v) sodium potassium tartrate (for iron) and 2% (w/v) of thiourea (for copper and zinc) in a 5% (v/v) ammonia and 2% (v/v) ammonium chloride solution previous to the precipitation reaction. The reddish-brown precipitate of molybdenyl ferrocyanide was collected on the walls of a knotted reactor. The precipitate was dissolved with the introduction of 1 ml of a 3.0 mol l−1 NaOH solution and the best performance in terms of detection limit and precision was achieved when a sub-sample of 140 μl was collected in a capillary of a sampling arm assembly, to introduce 20 μl volumes into the atomizer by means of positive displacement with air through a time-based injector. A detection limit (3σ) of 0.1 μg Mo l−1 using an aqueous standard solution was obtained. The method is quantitative and is applied over the range 0.2–20.0 μg Mo l−1. The precision of the method evaluated by ten replicate analyses of aqueous standard solutions containing 0.5 and 1.0 μg Mo l−1 was 2.8 and 3.1% (relative standard deviation, RSD) (for n=5), respectively. Whereas, the precision evaluated by five replicate analysis of a serum and a whole blood sample were 3.3 and 3.8% RSD. An enrichment factor of ca. 3.5 was achieved with the introduction of 0.5 ml aqueous standard solutions at a sample flow rate of 1.0 ml min−1. Recoveries of spiked molybdenum in blood serum and whole blood were in the ranges 96–102 and 94–98%, respectively. The results obtained for two human whole blood certified reference materials were in good agreement with the indicative values.  相似文献

A procedure based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) has been developed for the simultaneous preconcentration of three widely used herbicides and seven of their most common degradation products. The compounds studied were atrazine and its metabolites, desethylatrazine, desethyldesisopropylatrazine (DEDIA), 2-hydroxyatrazine, desethyl-2-hydroxyatrazine and desisopropyl-2-hydroxyatrazine (DIHA), terbutryne and its metabolite 2-hydroxyterbutylazine, and chlorotoluron and its metabolite 3-chloro-4-methylphenylurea. A HPLC system with diode array detection was used for the separation, identification and quantification of all these analytes. In the SPE preconcentration step, different types of sorbent were studied: C18 on silica and polymeric sorbents (Oasis and LiChrolut EN), the best results being obtained with the styrene–divinylbenzene cartridge and when the elution was performed with methanol and ethyl acetate. The detection limits obtained were between 0.1 μg l−1 for DIHA and DEDIA and 0.02 μg l−1 for the other analytes. The method used permitted the determination of these herbicides in drinking water at the concentration levels demanded by current legislation. The proposed method was used to evaluate the presence and evolution with time of these herbicides and their degradation products in samples of surface and ground waters from agricultural zones of the provinces of Salamanca and Zamora (basins of the Rivers Guareña and Almar), Spain.  相似文献

A solid phase extraction procedure based on biosorption of copper(II), lead(II), zinc(II), iron(III), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) ions on Aspergillus fumigatus immobilized Diaion HP-2MG has been investigated. The analytical conditions including amounts of A. fumigatus, eluent type, flow rates of sample and eluent solutions were examined. Good recoveries were obtained to the spiked natural waters. The influences of the concomitant ions on the retentions of the analytes were also examined. The detection limits (3sigma, N = 11) were 0.30 μg l−1 for copper, 0.32 μg l−1 for iron, 0.41 μg l−1 for zinc, 0.52 μg l−1 for lead, 0.59 μg l−1 for nickel and 0.72 μg l−1 for cobalt. The relative standard deviations of the procedure were below 7%. The validation of the presented procedure is performed by the analysis of three standard reference materials (NRCC-SLRS 4 Riverine Water, SRM 1515 Apple leaves and GBW 07605 Tea). The procedure was successfully applied for the determination of analyte ions in natural waters microwave digested samples including street dust, tomato paste, black tea, etc.  相似文献

A HPLC method with automated column switching and UV-diode array detection is described for the simultaneous determination of Vitamin D3 and 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25-OH-D3) in a sample of human plasma. The system uses a BioTrap precolumn for the on-line sample cleanup. A sample of 1 ml of human plasma was treated with 2 ml of a mixture of ethanol–acetonitrile (2:1 (v/v)). Following centrifugation, the supernatant was evaporated to dryness under a stream of dry and pure nitrogen. The residue was reconstituted in 250 μL of a solution of methanol 5 mmol l−1 phosphate buffer, pH 6.5 (4:1 (v/v)), and a 200 μl aliquot of this solution was injected onto the BioTrap precolumn. After washing during 5 min with a mobile phase constituted by a solution of 6% acetonitrile in 5 mmol l−1 phosphate buffer, pH 6.5 (extraction mobile phase), the retained analytes were then transferred to the analytical column in the backflush mode. The analytical separation was then performed by reverse-phase chromatography in the gradient elution mode with the solvents A and B (Solvent A: acetonitrile–phosphate buffer 5 mmol l−1, pH 6.5; 20:80 (v/v); solvent B: methanol–acetonitrile–tetrahydrofuran, 65:20:15 (v/v)). The compounds of interest were detected at 265 nm. The method was linear in the range 3.0–32.0 ng ml−1 with a limit of quantification of 3.0 ng ml−1. Quantitative recoveries from spiked plasma samples were between 91.0 and 98.0%. In all cases, the coefficient of variation (CV) of the intra-day and inter-day-assay precision was ≤2.80%. The proposed method permitted the simultaneous determination of Vitamin D3 and 25-OH-D3 in 16 min, with an adequate precision and sensitivity. However, the overlap of the sample cleanup step with the analysis increases the sampling frequency to five samples h−1. The method was successfully applied for the determination of Vitamin D3 and 25-OH-D3 in plasma from 46 female volunteers, ranging from 50 to 94 years old. Vitamin D3 and 25-OH-D3 concentrations in plasma were found from 4.30–40.70 ng ml−1 (19.74 ± 9.48 ng ml−1) and 3.1–36.52 ng ml−1 (7.13 ± 7.80 ng ml−1), respectively. These results were in good agreement with data published by other authors.  相似文献

Bismuth as BiCl4 and BH4 ware successively retained in a column (150 mm × 4 mm, length × i.d.) packed with Amberlite IRA-410 (strong anion-exchange resin). This was followed by passage of an injected slug of hydrochloric acid resulting in bismuthine generation (BiH3). BiH3 was stripped from the eluent solution by the addition of a nitrogen flow and the bulk phases were separated in a gas–liquid separator. Finally, bismutine was atomized in a quartz tube for the subsequent detection of bismuth by atomic absorption spectrometry. Different halide complexes of bismuth (namely, BiBr4, BiI4 and BiCl4) were tested for its pre-concentration, being the chloride complexes which produced the best results. Therefore, a concentration of 0.3 mol l−1 of HCl was added to the samples and calibration solutions. A linear response was obtained between the detection limit (3σ) of 0.225 and 80 μg l−1. The R.S.D.% (n = 10) for a solution containing 50 μg l−1 of Bi was 0.85%. The tolerance of the system to interferences was evaluated by investigating the effect of the following ions: Cu2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Fe3+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Hg2+, Zn2+, and Mg2+. The most severe depression was caused by Hg2+, which at 60 mg l−1 caused a 5% depression on the signal. For the other cations, concentrations between 1000 and 10,000 mg l−1 could be tolerated. The system was applied to the determination of Bi in urine of patients under therapy with bismuth subcitrate. The recovery of spikes of 5 and 50 μg l−1 of Bi added to the samples prior to digestion with HNO3 and H2O2 was in satisfactory ranges from 95.0 to 101.0%. The concentrations of bismuth found in six selected samples using this procedure were in good agreement with those obtained by an alternative technique (ETAAS). Finally, the concentration of Bi determined in urine before and after 3 days of treatment were 1.94 ± 1.26 and 9.02 ± 5.82 μg l−1, respectively.  相似文献

A flow injection (FI) on-line preconcentration procedure for ultra-trace inorganic selenium was developed with detection by atomic fluorescence spectrometry. Selenium (IV) is co-precipitated with lanthanum hydroxide and collected on a PTFE beads packed column, the precipitate is afterwards dissolved with hydrochloric acid followed by hydride generation with reduction by tetrahydroborate. A thorough scrutiny was made for chemical variables and FI parameters. With a sampling volume of 3.4 ml, quantitative retention of selenium (IV) was obtained, along with an enrichment factor of 11 and a sampling frequency of 38 h− 1. The detection limit, defined as 3 times the blank standard deviation (3σ), was 5 ng l− 1. The precision was characterized by a RSD value of 1.2% (at the 0.5 μg l− 1 level, n = 11). The enrichment factor was further enhanced to 20 along with a detection limit of 3 ng l− 1, with a sample loading volume of 6.8 ml. The procedure was validated with certified reference materials and biological samples. It was also applied to the speciation of inorganic selenium in surface waters.  相似文献

A field oriented and economical method of coprecipitation of trace elements like Al, Au, Bi, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mo, Ni, Pb, Pd, Ti, V, W, Zn and REE has been developed. A novel reductant D-glucose, reduces KMnO4 in solution to form a precipitate of MnO2. Two liters of clear natural water sample is adjusted to pH 3.5–4.0, and is treated with 10 ml of 1% KMnO4 and 20 ml of 0.1% D-glucose. The sample is heated at a temperature of 75–80 °C, MnO2 is formed which coprecipitates the above trace elements. The precipitate is separated by filtration, dissolved in 2 ml of 50% HCl and 2 ml of 30% H2O2 and diluted to 25 ml for analysis using AAS and ICP-AES. The recoveries were found to be 96–105%. The preconcentration factor is 80. Limits of determination by the proposed method in natural waters are 1 μg l−1 for Al, Cd, Mo, V, W, Ti and Zn, 5 μg l−1 for Au, Bi, Co, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb and Pd and 8 μg l−1 for REE. The RSD of the present procedure (n=5) is 8% at 5 μg l−1 level. Twenty water samples can be analyzed by an analyst in an 8-h day.  相似文献

A novel, single and robust solid surface fluorescence-based sensing device assembled in a continuous flow system has been developed for the determination of trace amounts of aluminium in water samples. The proposed method is based on the transient immobilization of the target species on an appropriate active solid sensing zone (C18 silica gel). The target species was the fluorogenic chelate, formed as a result of the on-line complexation of Al(III) with chromotropic acid (CA) at pH 4.1. The fluorescence of the complex is continuously monitored at an emission wavelength of 390 nm upon excitation at 361 nm. The instrumental, chemical and flow-injection variables affecting the fluorescence signal were carefully investigated and optimized. After selecting the most suitable conditions, the sensing system was calibrated in the range 10–500 μg l−1, obtaining a detection limit of 2.6 μg l−1, and a R.S.D. of 2.2%, with a sampling frequency of 24 h−1. In addition, the selectivity of the proposed methodology was evaluated by performing interference studies with different cations and anions which could affect the analytical response. Finally, the proposed method, which meets the EU regulations regarding the aluminium content in drinking waters, was satisfactorily applied to different water samples, with recoveries between 97 and 105%. The simplicity, low cost and easy operation are the main advantages of the present procedure.  相似文献

A continuous flow system for the determination of lead in home made spirituous beverages was developed. The determination was based on the formation of a neutral chelate of the element with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate, its adsorption onto a minicolumn packed with sodium faujasite type Y synthetic zeolite, followed by elution with methyl isobutyl ketone and determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Ethanol and copper interfere strongly in the determination and therefore, must be separated prior to the analysis. Copper is removed by precipitation with rubeanic acid, while ethanol is eliminated by rotaevaporation. Sample solutions containing Pb2+ in the concentration range from 5 to 120 μg l−1 at pH 2.5 could be analyzed, by using a preconcentration time of 3 min. Preconcentration factors from 80 to 140 were achieved for a sample volume of 6 ml and the detection limit varied from 1.4 to 3.5 μg l−1, depending on the matrix composition. The relative standard deviations for 60 μg l−1 Pb was 3.2% (n = 10) and the recovery of spikes (20, 40, 60 and 80 μg l−1) added to the samples was estimated within 92–105% range, suggesting that lead can be quantitatively determined in such samples. Determining lead in several samples by an alternative technique further checked the accuracy. Finally, the concentrations of Pb2+ determined in 28 samples of Venezuelan spirituous beverages were in 12.6–370.0 μg l−1 range, depending on the fermenting material based on different mixtures of agave, raw sugar cane and white sugar.  相似文献

Bisphenol A (BPA) in the presence of phenol is determined using a method based on first-derivative spectrofluorimetry. The proposed method involves a micro liquid–liquid extraction of sodium chloride saturated water samples with diethyl ether followed by direct fluorimetric analysis of extracts. The excitation spectra of both compounds in diethyl ether are recorded between 200 and 290 nm, with the emission wavelength at 306 nm. The first-derivative spectra were calculated, measuring the analytical signal for BPA at 239 nm. The concentration range over which the method was applied was 0.5–10.0 μg·l−1 of BPA with relative standard deviations of 2.9% for a concentration of 4.0 μg·l−1 of BPA. The detection limit was 0.07 μg·l−1. The proposed method was applied satisfactorily to the determination of BPA in synthetic mixtures and water samples from different sources previously spiked with different amounts of these chemicals. Recovery values ranging from 93% to 112% were obtained for water samples.  相似文献

Changes in fresh weight, total protein amounts (Bradford’s method), cadmium concentration (DPASV) and glutathione content (HPLC/MS) were studied in maize kernels cultivated for 5 days at three different cadmium concentrations (0, 10 and 100 μmol l−1 CdCl2). A highly sensitive HPLC/MS method was used for the determination of glutathione on a reversed-phase Atlantis dC18 chromatographic column (150 mm×2.1 mm, 3 μm particle size). An isocratic mode with acetonitrile–0.01% TFA (5:95, flow rate 0.1 ml min−1 and 30 °C) was applied. The m/z spectra and the data for the selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode were recorded at m/z for glutathione 308→179. Cadmium concentration was measured by a differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DPASV) after deposition on a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) at potential −0.7 V (accumulation time 180 s, acetate buffer of pH 3.6, 22 °C). An AUTOLAB with a VA-Stand 663 and a three-electrode system consisting of the HMDE as a working electrode with area 0.4 mm2, an Ag/AgCl/3 mol l−1 KCl as a reference electrode and a Pt-wire as an auxiliary electrode was employed. The maize kernels exposed to the highest cadmium concentration (100 μmol l−1) germinated formerly and much better. A rapid increase of the fresh weight probably relates with more intensive uptake of water in order to decrease cadmium concentration. An intensive preservation of homeostasis of Cd2+ ions in the germinating plants by defending mechanisms might explain differences of uptake rate of cadmium. The linear increase of GSH content with the exposure time at all studied concentration suggests the defending mechanisms might be triggered by concentrations of a heavy metal.  相似文献

An extremely sensitive, reliable and simple procedure is described for the determination of physiological palladium, platinum and gold in human urine. The urine samples were adjusted to pH 4 (Pd, Au) or pH 5 (Pt), followed by conversion of the analytes to their pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate complexes. These complexes were separated from the matrix by liquid-liquid extraction into 4-methyl-2-pentanone resulting in a 25-fold enrichment. Determination was by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET-AAS) using longitudinal inverse alternating current Zeeman-effect background correction. The limits of detection calculated from three standard deviations of the blank values were 20 ng l−1 for Pd and Au and 70 ng l−1 Pt. Within-day precision (n = 10, 5 μg l−1) ranged 5.2%–7.7%. The procedure is successfully applied to determine urinary palladium, platinum and gold in nine unexposed persons. Palladium levels in urine ranged < 20–80 ng l−1 (arithmetical MEAN=38.7 ng l−1), while gold levels ranged < 20–130 ng l−1 (36.0 ng l−1). Physiological platinum levels in urine were all < 70 ng l−1. The accuracy of the procedure was checked by analyzing a series of urine samples by a second independent method (magnetic sector field inductively-coupled plasma-mass spectrometry) in combination with UV photolysis.  相似文献
