Abstract: | In this paper, we investigate the entropy squeezing for a two-levelatom interacting with two quantized fields through Raman coupling. We obtain the dynamical evolution of the total system under theinfluence of intrinsic decoherence when the two quantized fields areprepared in a two-mode squeezing vacuum state initially. The effectsof the field squeezing factor, the two-level atomic transitionfrequency, the second field frequency and the intrinsic decoherenceon the entropy squeezing are discussed. Without intrinsicdecoherence, the increase of field squeezing factor can break theentropy squeezing. The two-level atomic transition frequency changesonly the period of oscillation but not the strength of entropysqueezing. The influence of the second field frequency iscomplicated. With the intrinsic decoherence taken intoconsideration, the results show that the stronger the intrinsicdecoherence is, the more quickly the entropy squeezing willdisappear. The increase of the atomic transition frequency canhasten the disappearance of entropy squeezing. |
