| The history and present status of study on the Acoustic Emission (AE) technique of concrete are reviewed. The developments of research on the mechanism of AE in concrete, the relationships between AE signals and mechanical parameters, the application of AE to fracture mechanics, the Kaiser-effect and its applications, the cooperation of modern non-linear theories and methods and the AE techique are analysed and prospected. |
